Dodo scores for charlton

02 Sep 2017 17:46:51
No surprises there, the best natural finisher st inrox. Extremely poor judgement by Pedro I'm afraid.

02 Sep 2017 17:54:53
Fd

Especially when 2 of your strikers have never been prolific. Really poor management leaving us so short of strikers and relyIng on Morelos not to get injured or lose form

02 Sep 2017 20:26:32
I have always posted that he is a good player. I work in Leicester and all there fans I spoke to were gutted he left them. He just needed game time in his position and will score. We have a habit of playing players out of position, judging them on that then getting shot deeming not good enough. Proof is in the pudding in our recent sales but more so with dodoo

02 Sep 2017 21:01:25
Surely we should be happy if he starts banging them in and returns a more complete player. Is that not the whole idea of loaning players. Its kind of like people would prefer him to go on loan and fail. Puzzles me

02 Sep 2017 21:53:26
Dodoo is the only Player who could have a future at Ibrox from the 3 loans. We can only hope that Wimbledon bid in January and O'halloran does enough to get the attention of Clubs willing to meet our valuation. I do not think that St. Johnstone will have the funds to buy the Player and we're probably paying 40 or 50% of his wages whilst he's there so the better he plays the more chance of getting the 500k at least!
Dodoo situation is strange as I and others think he has something to offer us but he did only score 5 in 25 and if we received a bid Ped may take it. But if we move them all on I would hope that we use the combined Fee's to strengthen the front line.

03 Sep 2017 15:03:56
5 goals in 10 starts. Most of his game time was 20 minute substitute appearances.

04 Sep 2017 13:34:03
25 appearances people that's what he had with a return of 5 goals, i'm sorry but that isn't good enough and just because they can do it lower league english teams doesn't mean they would have done it up here evidently .
we need to get this all english leagues are better than our top one.

i don't think he was strong enough on the ball to make it up here that's just my opinion oh and anyone elses that knows the difference playing for charlton and playing for rangers in a tough spl.
and yes this is the toughest the spl has been in quite some time

02 Sep 2017 16:44:46
Joe Dodoo on the scoresheet today.

02 Sep 2017 18:20:08
Hahahaha was it any surprise that a player we let out on loan scores. Jesus, what's it all about.

02 Sep 2017 19:34:38
What's it all about fod? Can you really not figure it out? These llayers had plenty opportunities to prove themselves last season and they failed. Now they go to a lesser team and do ok. You really can't figure it out?

02 Sep 2017 19:37:17
Young Rangers loan player scores for third division side! What a shocker, eh? Why did we let him go? He's no Messi, he's the messiah! Gie's a brek.

02 Sep 2017 19:48:14
Bigsam

He is no Messi? So because he is not Messi then we should have let him go? If that was the criteria for getting rid of players how many players do you think we would have left? Why get rid of a striker when we aren't exactly blessed with strikers?

02 Sep 2017 21:04:16
We didn't get rid of him. We loaned him to get him the game time he obviously needs. Think its called player development! The same folk on here moaning about it would undoubtedly be calling for Pedros head had he played him and he didn't perform :)

03 Sep 2017 00:34:20
Common sense

Sorry but you are living in cloud cuckoo land if you think Dodoo was sent out on loan for player development. He was sent out on loan to get rid of him. The manager clearly didn't fancy him and that's why he was nowhere near the squad this season.

03 Sep 2017 09:59:26
Mikeger are you knew here? You read my posts before. Honestly. Like I have said before its not that these players are bad far from it and the english championship is a far better league that scotland and that's where most of them have been scoring for fun. Its the fact that they have managers who believe in them and want them there. PC doesn't seem to be able to get the best out of thses guys and that's why he will be away by christmas.

03 Sep 2017 10:18:34
the championship teams don't park the bus like teams do against us, that's how they are scoring. r u saying peds doesn't have faith in the players he selects? the same players u are talking about weren't played by the breadman and he brought them in. wake up and smell the coffee

03 Sep 2017 15:23:18
Sparky1320, I take it you don't get irony then?

03 Sep 2017 16:38:48
Absolute nonsense from you fod as usual. You're the most negative person on this site. So much so that I'm not convinced you're not Celtic fan on the wind up

03 Sep 2017 17:48:17
Think people need to remember Pedro Caixinha hasn't got an issue with Joe Dodoo scoring goals. it's his overall game he wants to see improve. I recall him saying he needed to be more aggressive to handle the physicality of the Scottish game and train harder every day. His technique in front of goal is unquestionable. Every goal he scored in his short appearance minutes are raspers.

03 Sep 2017 19:13:06
thats a fair observation to make too. always looked as if he was backing out or scared for me. doesn't fit at all with being a rangers player, but definitely young enough to learn!

04 Sep 2017 10:12:37
If he was good enough he'd still be at ibrox. People forgot that us fans don't see them training everyday and don't know the players like the manager and coaches do. There paid to decide who good enough and who isn't. So just because he's scored for charlton doesn't change the fact he's maybe not good enough for rangers, and same for waghorn and garner, had there chances and failed at all level.

02 Sep 2017 08:41:08
Going to take some stick for this but 2 free agent I would look at are Guiseppi Rossi if we could afford his wages and Joe Lesley. I know he played for them but always thought he was a decent player.

02 Sep 2017 09:14:40
Meant Joe ledley

02 Sep 2017 11:54:27
more chance of john leslie mate 😂😂

02 Sep 2017 21:05:35
Joe Ledley. Benny Hill post that one

04 Sep 2017 10:09:07
Wee rossi is a cracker but he's completely ridden by injury!

04 Sep 2017 13:40:10
hasnt he retired

02 Sep 2017 05:41:27
Thought that people had got it wrong about McLean possibly signing a pre-contract in Jan. Mclean is a 1.5-2m Player and I'm surprised that they would let him leave for nothing! Especially when they know that we are interested. I would have thought that they would have tried to find a buyer during the Window and probably even have let him go for a million!
I don't think that we had the funds to bring him to Ibrox after doing most of our business early on, but there was obviously speculation and I can't see him signing an extention.
The Squad may not need him right now but as he wouldn't be arriving until nxt Summer getting him signed in Jan might be a wise move.

03 Sep 2017 22:57:43
You really believe that the seventh or eighth best midfield player in a league as poor as the SPhelL, who has less than an hour of international football in a friendly for a poor Scotland team, is worth £2m and is the sort of player we need to improve our team?

01 Sep 2017 22:46:24
I still can't make my mind up about where we are as a team. I am desperate for Pedro and the team to do well but I can't get rid of this nagging doubt I have.

I hoped walker would get over the line with a couple of young lads who require game time at some of the bigger clubs down south coming in to add to the squad.

Pedro hinted that we would strengthen after hibs/ hearts games but it didn't happen. With his supposed contacts in Portugal and mark allen on board I expected a bit more.

I don't agree with everything Fod says but I think he may be right. Are we as a club happy to compete with sheep, lenny's mob, hearts and st Johnstone for 2nd place? Celtic are the benchmark. They sign another "wonder kid" from PSG who is French under 21 to bolster their squad and we sign a lad from who can't get a game for Cardiff.

02 Sep 2017 00:42:00
of course we want to be better than all the others and i would say we are but celtic have had 60 mill CL money last two years, with CL games to attract signings as well as being able to put money aside last few years waiting for us to get back where we belong. wasnt a coincidence the proper manager signs the first season we are back! progress is being made but if we were to move at the pace some (including fod) want us too then we would be lucky to even have a club to cheer on in ten years. we need to bide our time and be realistic.

02 Sep 2017 01:43:32
Celtic's new striker is a loan deal, they've had a fairly quiet transfer window, and plenty of Celtic fans are not happy another CB was brought in.

The Welsh lad is a loan deal to support and cover our full backs, who when fit will be Tav and Wallace.

I underthd your concern but I think you need to remember how much business we done at the start of the window.

You mention the French under 21 Celtic have signed (not their player remember) . Well we have a Columbian under 21, who's scoring goals for us currently, and he's our player.

Positive thinking mate, the teams far from perfect we all know this, but there has been about 13 new faces brought in, a few of them in the form of loans. But there is only so much that can be spent in one summer and I think the board have done well to support the manager building his new team👍🏼

02 Sep 2017 02:03:27
Ok so the sewer rats have some decent Players, up front the Thumb knows how to get a shot on with dig behind it. Sinclair can play and now they have Roberts back too.
Be interesting to see how Dembele is when he comes back as imo we will see his value drop!
Defensivley nothing to shout about, all decent with Tierney being a very good Left Back.
BUT its the SYSTEM! that Brenda has this Team playing and the fact that the majority of the Squad have played together over a period of TIME.
I believe that Pedro has strengthened the Squad enough to compete against them but worry about how he will set the Team up.

03 Sep 2017 10:02:35
Andy celtic have decent players all over and its not that they are superstars its the fact rodgers knows how to manage a team properly, they went unbeaten and got the treble and it was practically the same team as ronnies.

04 Sep 2017 10:06:04
@baz - the new ' wonderkid ' has only scored one senior goal so let's not get carried away.
