Now before anyone tries to shoot me down here i'm only passing on what i was told this morning. Has anyone else heard that hibs are wanting/ trying to sign scott arfield ?If true i hope arfield doesn't sign for them?I have a lot of time for arfield as a person and of course, as a player ???.

He will struggle for games now sws and can't see him getting another deal well hopefully not have always liked Arfied but he's getting on a bit now and won't be getting started but he is still a decent impact player coming on.

To be fair I think the plan would have been to let Davis and arfield go in January. But the arrival of Beale changes the picture everyone likes arfield and still a decent Scottish option from the bench.

Scotty's officially Canadian of course, but I know what you mean. Great player for us and well loved among the other guys in the squad. I know he is getting on a bit but what an impact sub he is. Worth keeping for at least another year imo.

I personally would give scotty arfield a one year deal as he's brilliant as an impact player coming off the bench and more often than not is the crucial game changer for us ? Superb guy and a terrific midfielder, who's been a terrific signing for us???He knows what it means to play for the rangers ???

One of the few we have at ibrox who can time those superb runs beyond our striker ? Would hate for him to sign for another scottish club and play against us ?Like most of you on here, i've always been a massive fan of his and just wish he was about 7 years younger ?.

John, the more flexible substitution rules make Afield a feasible option as long as he remains fit and motivated. Retaining McGregor would be standing still, which was a mistake even this season.

McGregor, Arfield, Helander, Davis they have all got to go, people moan about how we are behind them over the road but then want to keep giving these guys a contract extension.
It's the same as people saying why are we signing more midfielders or more defenders well you always try to improve be that from players with potential to be better than what you currently have or the finished article that go straight into the team.

We can't stand still and we can't be nostalgic

Newman . I was born in Bellshill but I've never lived there, Arfield was brought up in Livi it's poss the hospital was the local maternity unit maybe? Anyway he ain't signing for Broxburn Athletic but could go to Canada?

It’s time we moved the older players on like arfield and Davis etc…. we will be dads army soon. We cannot stand still that’s the reason they won league last season and looking likely for this season.

Kelso I was only pulling your chain. You are correct Scott was brought up in Livingston, He stayed next door to a guy I worked with. I think he will end up at Hearts or Hibs.
