The "other mob" thing was hilarious, and absolutely nothing wrong with it at all. The "so much better" crap needs reeled in. When the day comes when we're sitting nine points clear in the league from that "other mob", having pumped them already in the league, and are current league champions, then maybe you can come away with that pish! 100% Paul - even their manager and players are conditioned not to call us Rangers or to refer to the Old Firm, just to make sure they pander to the masses and their so- called ultra groups. "We're no half of anything" they felt a compulsion to spout so I've no issue with Sakala's comment. I remember a few years back when Kenny Dalglish held a TV press conference in the Celtic Social Club and referred to Rangers as "them across the road" and there wasn't the faux anger there is with Sakala's comment.

we have a shot atthe first cup, and that means no treble, i gave kinda given up on the league now as imo, the subs killed us at ibrox when we could have pit great pressure on them, now i think they left ibrox massively boosted by the point,

so first cup is paramount imo.

co2 you are totally correct, i always call them celtic, but i'm aware they don't call us rangers, i don't care, nowadays they have no respect, in my time i drank with celtic legends, i could name you around 25 celtic players i considered friends, i still have a couple who we meet fir lunch or whatever, they know what i am, and vice versa,
the respect for rangers dissipated after 2012, theytook the moral highground instead of taking aneighbourly stance, wedidnt expect anything less from a club like that

Personally I couldn't care less what our players or anyone else for that matter refer to that lot in the East End as, I simply dislike them intensely. It is all about winning and all about beating them and if we consider Sakala and a number of others currently playing for Rangers to be good enough to win the league and be the top team in Scotland season after season then we are going to be consistently disappointed.
The general quality of our squad is abysmal. It is what comes from making cheap acquisitions and from a lack of scouting in markets that have players of the quality needed at a reasonable price.
If our current Board are ambitious then the must know that the majority of players currently in our squad fall a long way short of the quality needed to dominate Scottish Football never mind make their mark in Europe.
We need new investment and a more dynamic Chairman than Parks!

Unfortunately the Scottish Press will jump on anything said, it is the way that they gain readership in the West of Scotland. What Sakala said was irrelevant but when you say something then you should know that it will be jumped on.
I'm not interested in what our players say, I am only interested in what they do on the Football Park and Sakala is not good enough for Rangers and he is not the only one. Yes he is full of running and he will score the odd goal against inferior opposition but he isn't a Lately, a McCoist, a Stein, a Mols or a Johnston and that is the quality we should be looking to sign at Rangers.
