Hearing Ben Davies has been given permission to talk to three championship teams.

I did see he boarded the plane to Spain. Hopefully, with positive talks, he boards one to come back asap. Davies money would allow us to get McKenna (I think), and maybe a couple more.

Hopefully Barron gets tied up soon too.

That would be a great deal for us. John does that mean we would bring in a replacement this window? I would imagine so. I think PC prefers more traditional CBs. Are we still interested in McKenna?

I would be happy with McKenna, Cresswell or Souttar as a replacement.

GC 1872, Why would it be Souttar and King v Hibs? Goldson is suspended for this game but Balogun only gets a one match ban for being sent off for denying a goal scoring opportunity . He`s served that ban, so it will be him and Souttar v Hibs I would imagine.

Don’t want to be negative in any way but would anyone really buy Lammers for 2.5m and Davies for 3m plus - must be mad - surely better players available on free or on lower fees - hoping both happen and 5m for both would be amazing / a miracle ??????.

Michael Beale tried to move Ben Davies on last summer but the main problem was his wages and length of the contract he wasn't prepared to take a drop in salary also he and his wife are apparently settled in Scotland.

Davies was starting to look decent until the mistake against Celtic, since then he's looked shaky.

Think he's another one who's struggled to fully settle due to family issues and injuries.

I hope we can sort the deal with Barron out, John. He’s our Ryan Jack replacement. Very promising player. Would be surprised if he signed a new deal at Aberdeen.

Let’s hope we can get Davies off the books and sign a new CB. Ideally Asap.

Utrecht couldn't afford a fee for Lammers. FC Twente were also interested but have no info on why that didn't happen.

We are going to have to start producing our own players as more and more after the success of the likes of hickey Ferguson Gilmore players will move to other leagues

Good info John, Davies well thought of down south and is actually a decent player just didn't work out here with injuries etc, think it's a good deal for both the buying and selling club.
