Hurting with the result last night but refuse to blame Gerrard just yet give him time another couple of transfer windows still think there been an great improvement since last year, a wee run in Europe and Celtic could still be caught it's his first season he will improve with time and backing some time we expect to much to soon as fans I think.

I'm firmly in the camp of backing our manager steven gerrard and giving him time, with another couple of transfer windows! I still think he'll get us a team built that we can all be proud of, again given time. Of course he'll make mistakes,
as he's a young manager, managing a massive football club, with massive weight and expectations! He's a clever guy, who IMO will learn from mistakes he's made. You learn more from your mistakes than you do from anything else.

I'm alwYs there supercooper. I've not been critical of Gerrard as I've always said this manager needs at least 2 or 3 seasons to get his own team in and get rid of the deadwood we've accumulated. It is a bit concerning by now tho that even when it's not working he eont try something different, does it remind you of another guy that you had touted for great things, future England gaffer etc.

It's not about changing the players, it's about changing the tactics. He just randomly swaps one player out for another but never changes up the formation or the style of play. Watching the Aberdeen game was like watching us under Warburton. Only Warburton had worse players at his disposal.

SG would struggle to change tactics with his current team selection list. I was atvthe Aberdeen game and, looking at the subs bench, it was basically a like for like swap availability. Having drawn with Aberdeen previously, I would have started with Dafoe and Lafferty, using Lafferty as a physical option. There was absolutely any way a change of tactics would have been available on the night. I think McRorie should have been on to provide the umph in midfield we so clearly lacked.

I think everyone has their favourite starting 11,but given the changes SG made to his early season teams, i couldn't disagree with his recent team selection since the OF.
During the tinkering games, i think its obvious your laffertys and coulibali's are not quite good enough.
Made a lot of changes this season, some of them have not worked. Next season there will inevitably be more change, but from a 1st team perspective, not wholesale.

You could easily change tactics with the players he has. Bring in Katic and play 3 at the back. Play Defoe or Lafferty and 2 up front. Play more direct and actually shoot rather than sideways passes in front of teams with 11 men behind the ball.
