Apparently we are after Zander Clark for £1m? Anyone else think that's madness when Liam Kelly is apparently available for £50k? Clark is decent but is he any better than Fod or Alnwick?

Theswagman

1.) 08 May 2019 13:52:03
Agree mate.

2.) 08 May 2019 15:09:40
He got beat from 40 yards at the weekend so I hope we’re not paying £1m.

3.) 08 May 2019 16:20:23
Its'crazy' that would even have to pay 50k for Kelly!

4.) 08 May 2019 16:40:03
I would rather we re-signed our former young goalkeeper, liam kelly.
Said before on here that kelly should never have been let go to livingston. He's the natural successor to allan mcgregor as far as i'm concerned!

5.) 08 May 2019 18:23:49
Supercooper he was not let go. He left at end of contract as we signed McGregor.

6.) 08 May 2019 19:12:41
SC11 not one person in the coaching team gives two hoots who you think is McGregors natural successor. Your like a broken record going on and on and on about Kelly. HE LEFT, HE WANTED TO GO. Change the record.

7.) 08 May 2019 19:44:29
L17 correct mate. If we kept or signed everyone coops said we would have a squad of 80.

8.) 08 May 2019 20:29:34
JBoy 21 highly rates them all ;-) apart fae Shinnie he has always stated his dislike of Shinnie or has been consistent in saying he was not being good enough.

9.) 08 May 2019 20:40:38
Chill we have 2 McCrories lol.

10.) 09 May 2019 04:04:53
If we sign him it'll be for nothing remotely close to £1m. Behave.

11.) 09 May 2019 07:19:15
We aren’t after him for £1 million killie have priced him at that.

12.) 09 May 2019 10:19:54
Would help if he played for killie Dee haha he’s st Johnstone goalie, imo liam kelly would be ideal replacement, great keeper with a great attitude.

13.) 09 May 2019 10:22:24
Doesn't play for Killie mate.

14.) 09 May 2019 12:25:20
Exactly Jboy and in my honest opinion I truly believe that they’d all be future captains 🙈.

15.) 09 May 2019 18:59:17
I don’t believe that anyone on the coaching team gives two hoots about what anyone thinks on here!

Is SC’s opinion less worthy than the rest on here?

Folk asking if we should give them a guard of honour - yes. I would argue that mob has zero class. Any club with the likes of Scott Brown as a captain should be ashamed of themselves. However I can’t say that if we don’t rise above it and act with class. So if I was the gaffer 100% they would get a guard of honour. And I would say to the players if you don’t like it, if it sticks in your throat, if it harms your professional pride, remember this and make sure it doesn’t happen next year.

Theswagman

1.) 05 May 2019 18:04:39
Nah, just nah.

2.) 05 May 2019 18:11:30
The swagman, ask yourself this - would Celtic give us a guard of honour? I think not. As for Broon, this is a guy with a Rangers tattoo on his leg and also gave a gentlemans handshake to sign for Rangers. Turncoat!

3.) 05 May 2019 19:07:25
He never has had, or did have a rangers tattoo on his leg. That's a false story and has been proved this time and again. If Kevin Thomson wasn't ravaged by injuries we would have had the far better midfielder anyway.

4.) 05 May 2019 19:22:13
The Stuck - no they wouldn’t give us one. Which is exactly why we should give them one. Class is permanent. Otherwise we are right down at their bitter, paranoid, knuckle dragging level. They beat us fair and square, we shot ourselves in the foot with our poor discipline. So as I say, do it, use it as a motivational tool for the players for next season and next time we walk out on their ground as champions see if they have the class to return the favour.

5.) 05 May 2019 19:28:12
Real Madrid and Barcelona don’t give each other guards of honour. Hibs didn’t give us 1 either go online and watch Sutton after we had won our 50th title and tell me if they would of give us a guard of honour that year.

6.) 05 May 2019 19:58:57
Again, don’t go down to their level. Show some class.

7.) 05 May 2019 20:21:13
No guard of honour. When and why did this rubbish start?

8.) 05 May 2019 20:52:04
Your correct frustrated blue. The lego muncher never had a rangers tattoo but was a boyhood rangers supporter.

9.) 05 May 2019 19:33:35
ED can we have a poll please? Has Broon got a Rangers tattoo? Yes or no?

{Ed033's Note -

Broon Rangers tattoo poll

10.) 05 May 2019 22:54:44
Nope they can shove it right up their a**e, not a single team in the country have any respect what so ever for us, not 1, infact they all go out their way to be as disrespectful as possible.
Nothing we ever do would earn any respect from any of these clubs so why not earn some of the disrespect, get it right up them.
On another note Forrest PFA player of the year 🤔, Tav has more goals and assists from RB, makes no sense😩.

11.) 05 May 2019 23:10:38
Hes not
Fact.

12.) 05 May 2019 23:23:28
The swagman

Are you seriously suggesting we give a guard on honour to a club who tried their best to kill our club, who tried their hardest to have our titles stripped? Who have contacted UEFA to try and get them to investigate why we were allowed to gain a European licence to play in Europe? They hate us and haven’t missed a chance to have a dig at us at every turn. Give them nothing.

13.) 06 May 2019 07:29:07
Who cares about them and what they do or what they did. We are all Glasgow Rangers and we rise above and do the right thing.
If that means a GoH then so be it.

If I was SG I’d make sure we do it and make sure they players respect it.

14.) 06 May 2019 07:44:56
Also a club who refuse to reference us by name officially Arthur. Should be a close game, they all have been this season, we need to play to our strengths on Sunday, same team that started yesterday, we’ll be fine.

19 Dec 2018 20:36:16
Tav’s first half in summary - 3 mins in nearly costs us a goal with a stupid pass in his own half, 33rd minute inexplicably just falls over when Hibs counter attack, 38th minute, insists on hitting a free kick despite it clearly being in a better position for a left footer (Barisic) and hits the wall. Can people on here now please just accept he is mince and we need shot of him ASAP?

Theswagman

1.) 19 Dec 2018 22:53:29
Swagman did you just follow Tav for mistakes instead of watching the game.

2.) 19 Dec 2018 23:02:28
Thot tav had a great game apart from the three mistakes you mentioned. did you count the other players mistakes by the ways.

3.) 19 Dec 2018 23:12:16
I thought our mistakes were minimal tonight, dominated but just didn't score.

4.) 20 Dec 2018 00:22:51
Tav played well. Should have let barisic have the free kick though.

13 Dec 2018 19:23:41
Someone please come and sign Tav in January. Watching this game and he is absolutely dreadful. Worst Rangers captain in my lifetime. He can hit a penalty and that is it. Can't pass, can't cross, can't tackle, inspires nobody.

Theswagman

1.) 13 Dec 2018 19:47:41
Been saying that for donkeys. He's cost us again tonight with his inability to geta cross by the first man
Absolute Tom kite!

2.) 13 Dec 2018 19:49:06
Conplete lack of quality in the final third once again.

3.) 13 Dec 2018 19:54:24
Have to agree, in the big games he’s not got it . Take the money and sell him . Big Katic must be wondering what he has to do to get a game . Worral mince, Mcauley past his best. Sick.

4.) 13 Dec 2018 19:57:51
Here we go again. 80% of the team were crap and couldn’t pass but blame Tav. I’m not 1 for scapegoats or blaming individuals especially when most were rotten but tell me swagman, what did Middleton or Coullibaly etc have to offer because they were fkn dreadful?

5.) 14 Dec 2018 01:25:38
They weren't great either but Middleton is 18 and Coulibaly is on loan and will be gone in 6 months.

Tav is THE CAPTAIN OF GLASGOW RANGERS. That still means something to me. If you think he deserves to wear the armband that Richard Gough, Craig Moore, Barry Ferguson have all worn in the last 20 years or so then that's a sad indictment of how far standards have slipped.

6.) 14 Dec 2018 07:39:34
Nobody mentioned the armband except you and certainly nobody comparing him as a captain to gough etc but you are saying he is dreadful. My personal opinion he is anything but dreadful and there were many of our players out there who were a hell of a lot worse than Tav the scapegoat.

7.) 14 Dec 2018 12:23:47
I mentioned the captaincy in my original post which you replied to. My point is, you are singling out an 18 year old and a loanee who will be gone in 6 months. I'm talking about our captain. First thing I would be doing is stripping him of the armband and giving it to McGregor or Arfield as they are the only 2 players who have proven this season they can be relied upon to perform at a consistently high level. Tav is an absolute liability and is too arrogant to accept he can't hit set pieces and step aside for the good of the team. If Halliday hadn't shoved him out the way we wouldn't even have taken a point from Dundee as Tav's effort would no doubt have hit the wall.

02 Sep 2018 13:20:13
These tactics have been embarrassing today. I expected more positivity from Gerrard.

Theswagman

1.) 02 Sep 2018 13:23:40
Terrible performance so far.

30 Aug 2018 16:27:51
100% this referee has been bribed by the Russians.

Theswagman

1.) 30 Aug 2018 17:03:31
That was my thoughts very quick to pull out 2nd yellows not so quick when a Russian player fouls.

Mind I said a simple yes or no? Would you rather have Ian Black than Darren Fletcher?

Only one person spitting his dummy here and it’s the one everyone agrees is making no sense. Let’s clarify, a simple yes or no will do - you would rather have Ian Black in the Rangers midfield than Darren Fletcher?

Also, wouldn’t have him in any Rangers team past or present? So Fletcher at his peak, when he was starting for Man U in a champions league semi final, you wouldn’t have chucked him in to replace Terry Hurlock? Or Alex Rae? Or Gavin Rae? Or what about when we were rocking Ian Black in midfield? Comical mate.

Just following your logic, if you can call it that.

You say that A - being in that Man Utd team can make anyone look a class act? Wrong, there were plenty players, big name, big money players, who went there and struggled. So that theory is nonsense.

Crazy theory B - because he didn’t win anything with Scotland, that proves he is rubbish. Andy Robertson just won the champions league but I haven’t seen him winning medals with Scotland, is he rubbish?

Darren Fletcher spent the majority of his career playing for arguably the biggest club in the world, in the richest league in the world, in the champions league and has a cabinet full of medals. Bad players don’t do that.

There’s the same amount in our ranks mate, I remember Stubbs being mocked for having testicular cancer. We’re currently giving Griffiths dogs abuse when he clearly has some mental health issues.

Stewart is a very good player when used correctly. That sheep sh*gging idiot kept playing him out of position. He’s in there to improve the level below the first team. Not there to start every week but when needed to come in he should be an upgrade on Grezda, Lafferty, Sadiq etc.

Arthur D back to Motherwell as part of a deal to take Turnbull would be nice. If not then either League 1 down south or someone like Livi.

Doiger, this is utter nonsense and you clearly don’t understand the way football operates. A bigger club loans players to a smaller club. Those players are better than the ones they have. Kent was better than Middleton, but wasn’t good enough to get in the Liverpool team. He came to us, played and improved to the point Liverpool might see a future for him at the club. Ojo will come in and probably be better than Hastie or Middleton at the minute. So we loan them out for the season, they play every week and then come back better. Docherty will probably be better for having played every week for Shrewsbury every week. THAT IS “developing” our young players. Leaving them to rot on the bench or playing them when they aren’t ready and their confidence gets burst isn’t.

NOVO - I sit in Copland Front and there is a guy along from me who shouts darkie, sambo and various other charming phrases at all of our BME players. I’m the only person who has ever told him to shut up. I should also say I’ve been going to Ibrox since I was 5, I’m a bluenose through and through, but I’m also an atheist married to a Catholic and I have to sit through all that bike every week to support my team. We have a massive problem with racism, sectarianism etc. and to say we don’t you’re either burying your head in the sand, condoning and agreeing with it, or both.
