I heard we have made enquiry about signing Danny Graham from Sunderland.
I think he would be brilliant signing for us and not another James Beattie.

Another stiker I'd like us to try and get would be Armstrong of Newcastle United.
I do know 1 thing tho, who ever Mr Warbutton brings in will be the correct signings. Really looking forward to the cup final and next season.

I always wonder if we had gone up last season with McCall would he of stayed on and how would we of finished this season.

Jimbo83

1.) 12 May 2016 23:25:07
Would he of stayed on? How would we of finished? Do you mean would he have, how would we have.

2.) 12 May 2016 23:47:04
If we had gone up with McCall, we wouldn't be playin the attractive football that were playin the now that's for sure, no offence to McCall but i'm very happy with Mark and big Davie boii in charge here now, onwards and upwards,

3.) 12 May 2016 23:56:41
Danny Graham is poor mate that the type of player we need to avoid. Not technically good enough for our style of play and would demand a decent wage.

4.) 13 May 2016 08:10:50
No offence original poster but danny graham ain't poor and our manager rates him and worked with him at watford, sure he's lost his way at times but that's what warbs is brilliant at ie. taking players who's careers have slightly stalled and bringing them back to their best,3 comes to mind right away, tav, waggy and forrester, I rest my case, warbs seems to bring out the best in players who've slightly stalled which doesn't make them poor players!

14 Jan 2016 22:05:15
Seen a rumour that Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday are going to make bid for Tav? Hope this isn't true.

Jimbo83

1.) 15 Jan 2016 00:14:16
If it were a EPL team I think he would hard to turn it down but he won't be leaving anytime soon for either of these clubs.

2.) 15 Jan 2016 01:16:32
I agree RFCinfinity different if it was a premership club can't see him leaving us for a championship club even though he is a Leeds Fans or was brought up as one, won't make a difference unless the offer (transfer fee) is to good to turn down? which i doubt but The fact we do seem to have little to next money does worry me.

3.) 14 Jan 2016 23:53:44
There's talk of waggy and tav for the same clubs, but they won't leave, I'm pretty sure there loving life at rangers but money talks.

4.) 15 Jan 2016 01:53:48
Sheffield Wednesday have just signed Jack Hunt on a 3 and a half year contract, he is an attacking full back so can't see Tav going to them.

5.) 15 Jan 2016 10:04:19
Yeah I think you are right Alex, if our financial fortunes don't turn fast I assume we'll lose these players fairly soon for next to nothing.
At the moment though we are 6 months into a promising footballing rebuild of the club and any of the recent acquisitions, staff included, would be mad to leave now. Why join to be part of the project of getting us back to the top then desert us 6 months later for a smaller club? No self-respecting pro would imho.

Next season will be a massive clear out of the team obviously.
Will be a massive task for whoever comes in, the gap won't be as big next season but we will get there.
DeBear would be my first choice he'll build a class team for us.
But for this season I've no idea who can get us out this mess.
That game against Dundee was absolutely garbage. Every player was horrendous.
Can't wait to get Jak in the sticks he's a great goalie. Wes had done good for us but again total bomb scare as is Kiernan, my god he's brutal.
The players we have signed under Warbs were all just Scottish Championship quality. And a lot of them where on deals I think just for that season. Should never of been offered longer. It shows this season they were never good enough for this league.
Now the new gaffer has to build a complete new team from scratch, and what's expected of him will be so difficult.
Players I think to get heave ho is,
Tav.
Kiernan.
Hodgson.
Halliday.
Holt.
Forrester.
Waghorn.
Hill.
And the 2 boys on loan obviously won't be back.
Least in the roumor page I've no heard any mention of new manager to be Bob Bradley or Roy Hodgson lol.
We will be back at the top, just going to take time and a whole lot of work. But we'll be back where we belong.
As the greatest fans in the world we'll always do our part.

1.) 21 Feb 2017 15:02:50
jimbo, you better hope the above mentioned are out of contract because I can't see anyone buying them or paying the wages they are getting the now. maybe admin is the only way to get rid of all these players?

2.) 21 Feb 2017 15:20:44
That's very true, maybe if Warbutton gets a job down south he can take them off our hands.
He'll be in for McKay that's for sure.
I am positive a few will be off our hands.

3.) 21 Feb 2017 15:30:30
I fully agree that we need a clear out of a good number of players but there will be 2 major issues to overcome first.
1. I don't think the players will have a number of clubs trying to get them in the summer as everyone has seen this season how bad they are.
2. We can't afford to bring in players to replace the outgoing lot unless we essentially do what Warbuton has done before in getting free or cheap players.

Either way its going to cost money which we just don't have unless a lot of money gets invested (cant see that happening) or we get rid of Ashley (cant see that happening either) .

4.) 21 Feb 2017 15:43:35
Lance Armstrong. I don't know if your comment about admin was tongue-in-cheek or serious but here's a thing. What if Rangers were to go into administration at the end of this season if cash flow isn't good and we don't qualify for Europe? Would that get rid of fat cat Ashley once and for all and be more likely to attract new investors? Sadly, King and co could kiss goodbye to their investments (again) . I wouldn't want admin, just a question really because who knows.

5.) 21 Feb 2017 17:26:09
Doiger. It was tongue n cheek mate. I keep hearing the word administration being spoke about more and more and that's not just from celtic fans
Im not that clever with the business side of things so I don't know if that would get rid of Ashley. I hope for the sake of Scottish football that something positive happens with rangers. To the celtic fans out there then you won't keep Rodgers or Sinclair or attract players if rangers don't improve or go under.

6.) 22 Feb 2017 14:49:13
And how are we going to get rid of all those players?

7.) 22 Feb 2017 15:59:54
I wouldn't rule some players staying. Waghorn. Holt, Hodson potentially. Some managers can get more out of players Waghorn has already indicated that some players were unsure of Warburtons constant changing.

No change however since Murty took charge still the same old sh*te!

8.) 22 Feb 2017 16:21:35
the stubborn 4-3-3 got warbs the sack and i think we have an okay squad but need maybe another 4 really good players in the team to make it click.

i think under good managment players like holt and forrester and even tav is i'm my opinion a good player but his confidence has been kocked.
he is strong fast and has a good touch but going forward has cost him too many times for some of us to forgive, however i think under good guidence from a good manager we would have a gem on our hands.

players like halliday as much as i love the fact he is rangers through and through just don't do enough i the middle of the park and are being beaten to every first and second ball in the middle of the park.

15 Jan 2016 13:24:34
Kevin Thomson been released by Dundee. Does anyone think he'd be a useful squad player for us till end of season?
Or maybe he's to injury prone.

Jimbo83

1.) 15 Jan 2016 13:47:26
I really liked Kevin Thompson when he was at rangers but do u know what, I don't think he would get in our team ahead of holt, haliday, McKay in my opinion.

2.) 15 Jan 2016 13:54:24
reported he already has a club lined up although very reminiscent of our business recently with him negotiating his own release, think he would be ok although would much rather pay a fee for diagouraga not a huge fan of old players returning!

3.) 15 Jan 2016 13:54:52
Too injury prone and not the way forward. Was a decent player previously for us however was also prone to stupid tackles that put us in a few tricky situations.

4.) 15 Jan 2016 14:15:02
Is anybody on same thought as myself, thinking mr stokes wants to go to hibs to save them.

5.) 15 Jan 2016 14:25:42
Save them from what?

6.) 15 Jan 2016 14:36:20
Save them from us lifting championship watp.

7.) 15 Jan 2016 14:50:22
More like stopping than saving.

8.) 15 Jan 2016 19:30:08
I'm sure he would keep the medical staff busy maybe use him for training up some young medics. The guy was past it at about the age of 23 no danger he could get a game now.

9.) 15 Jan 2016 23:38:27
Sadly, Kevin Thompson, as a result of injury, never reached the level in theme that he could have reached. He is not the answer to our defensive midfield requirements but I hope he can get a club and stay fit for the remainder of his career.

08 Jan 2016 23:11:58
We definitely need a striker in this transfer window. Can't wait to see if we get 1 in.
From what I seen on the youtube video the Latvian lad looks good.
I wouldn't want Stevie May, David Goodwillie or Makay as I've heard rumours on here about them coming.

I'd like the boy Armstrong from Newcastle United who's on loan at Coventry but can't see it. So maybe the big Latvian boy would be our best bet. Just a thought.
Finally love watching Rangers again, getting back to giving us fans to be proud again.

Jimbo83

1.) 09 Jan 2016 00:40:21
The boy Armstrong would be a hit with us, that's a shout jimbo. Can't see it though unfortunately.

2.) 09 Jan 2016 10:06:19
If you watch video of the Latvian boy it seems that 90%of his goals come from running in behind defences. Not sure how effective he would be playing against teams who defend on the edge of their box. Wouldn't be surprised if Warbs played with a 'false 9' next season rather than an out and out striker.

06 Jan 2016 08:46:34
Kevin Nolan, Sone Aluko, Crooks and Windass are the 4 signings i'd like to see brought in.

Jimbo83

1.) 06 Jan 2016 09:15:09
I would hate to see Nolan or Aluko at Ibrox. Nolan is too old and would be asking for plenty of dosh. The money would be better kept for a younger player who has his best years ahead of him. We don't want to be dishing our big wages for someone who's on his way out. We can get better players than Aluko for half the wages anawl.

2.) 06 Jan 2016 09:22:37
Think Aluko's wages would be far too much for us to pay.

3.) 06 Jan 2016 09:48:25
Aluko would be a great signing, a real entertainer.

4.) 06 Jan 2016 10:13:25
I would take kevin nolan at ibrox in a heartbeat! After all we were desperate to sign john eustace who was almost 37 years old whereas nolan is 4 years younger at 33 years old and we'd get at least a good 3 years out of him, there's one thing for sure you wouldn't out muscle nolan, he's solid and a really good midfielder, would be perfect at 33years old in the defensive mid holding role.

5.) 06 Jan 2016 13:36:04
Isn't he an attacking mid?

Scott Allen hands in transfer request. Sky Sports News

Jimbo83

1.) 28 Jul 2015 18:40:29
Doesn't change anything as far as we are concerned.
Hibs won't sell him to us anyway.

2.) 28 Jul 2015 19:08:47
He will be a Rangers player very soon. There's a lot of bad hibs fans saying terrible things about him and his family absolutely shocking!! There's no chance he will ever play for hibs again.

3.) 28 Jul 2015 21:04:32
He will end up signing for a SPL team (Aberdeen, Dundee Utd or Celtic)

4.) 28 Jul 2015 21:34:11
That is looking likely unless he hangs onto next season to sign for us but I find that unlikely

5.) 28 Jul 2015 22:58:19
God u would think use were trying to sign messi or ronaldo the way sum of use are going on! The boys a decent player but nothing more! And as for he'll end up at Celtic! He wouldn't get in our team! Like I said decent player but he's playin in a poor hibs team which make him look good! The same hibs teams use beat in the the playoffs last season! Poor lot! He would be nothing more than a squad player with the champs!
