So if Gio is to be sacked who do people have in mind to replace him? Do we look local or go left field was a foreign manager? For me I'd like us to go for either Michael Beale or Paul Heckinbottom.

twisted why beale who walked out on us.

2.) 13 Oct 2022
13 Oct 2022 22:12:42
Michael Beale would be a good choice but we wouldn’t go for him i'd imagine as he’s under contract at other club and we are too tight to pay compensation.
It was Gerrard who left to go to another club and of course his back room staff would go with him otherwise they would be left unemployed as we wouldn’t keep them as it’s harder for new manager trying to bring in his own back room team.
Beale is a great coach and has started well as a manager.
I don’t think Gio will be sacked as let’s face it he’s not been backed to a great deal financially and has had a terrible run of injuries and is still only 2 points off top of table so deserved until World Cup break IMO.

13 Oct 2022 22:17:52
I’d take Beale. I don’t think it’s fair to say he walked out, he was part of a coaching team that left and I’d guess Gio wouldn’t have kept him as part of his set up anyway. I think he’d be an upgrade on Gio in my opinion.

4.) 13 Oct 2022
13 Oct 2022 22:25:38
I will repeat what i posted earlier regards this. If we did sack gio even though we won’t because we don’t have the compensation money. We wouldn’t have money to buy a new one. I would take Neil mccann Kevin t and Craig Moore. If they would be interested which I’m sure they would be. It wouldn’t cost us much u til we got a proper manager. Who knows. It could work out well. But that’s my opinion. ?.

5.) 13 Oct 2022
13 Oct 2022 22:45:38
Bluemark him and McAllister indicated to rangers he wanted to go with gerrard and did not wish to be part off the new structure,

I’m just not sure off him, great coach but

The early plan was Defoe with Beale assist manager when gerrard went, although many believed that would be 2026.

6.) 13 Oct 2022
13 Oct 2022 23:04:24
Beale ain’t leaving a team who could endup in the prem they are third at the moment.

7.) 13 Oct 2022
13 Oct 2022 23:37:47
That’s could change quickly in that league they are currently 6 points ahead of mid table but also level on points at top with 3/ 4 of season to go.
QPR would have to be sitting looking to go up automatically comfortably for him to even have to make a decision but I think he would jump at the chance to be main man at Rangers.
Just my opinion though obviously.

8.) 13 Oct 2022

Sean dyche.

9.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 00:02:44
We’re only 2 points off top off the league and were in the hardest group in the champions league. let's give Gio time FS.

10.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 00:11:06
AC21 that’s true but how many times in your life have you seen a normal (outwith the banter years) get destroyed so easily several times in such a short period of time.
I remember listening to a Dutch reporter from a Feyenoord fan club talk about what we would be getting with Gio when he arrived and unfortunately what he said is happening. Feyenoord fans got bored with the style of play because it was too negative, team lacked mental strength and he wouldn’t change tactics even though it wasn’t working. That sounds very familiar right now so I think it’s only a matter of time.

11.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 01:45:31
We should never have got Gio, but apart from that we won't win much with defenders like our pathetic full backs, Michael beale mentioned on here not for me, Kjetil Knutsen should have got the job when gerrard left hope we can still get him,

12.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 05:37:24
John26,my take of the proceedings were michael beale would have took the job if he was offered it but allegedly was told at that particular time, rangers had other candidates in mind ?Beale still says to this day that he would never turn down glasgow rangers ?.

13.) 14 Oct 2022
14 oct 2022 06:34:02
send for big duncan.

14.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 07:20:51
walter he told roberson he was not ready to be an assistant to mcallister, who wanted to go to england.

15.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 07:41:43
AC21 two points off the league is what we are sick of. Should be clear at the top but we never have been under Gio.

16.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 07:47:06
Paul Heckinbottom? The guy who was a failure at hibs?! That'll work. ????.

17.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 07:51:28
TT1872

For Gio to stay in a job and move us forward he has to bin the leeches like Kent and Buff and show rest of squad that there are no favourites.
Stick with the players who want to be here next season and give the other guys a good run in team and only if they then play under par do we use Kent/ Buff to help us and not vice versa.
I would rather get beaten with players in team who want the jersey rather than those who want a shop window to seek next move (Kent couldn't even use that window on Wed) .
The league is still there for the taking - It's how much our players/ staff want it and desire it is the real question.

18.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 07:54:58
Beale walked out on us? One of the worst takes I've ever seen on this page.

19.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 08:33:06
Ok the12thman2, you state bring in neil mccann, kevin thomson and craig moore to replace gio?Which one of the 3 would you have as rangers manager then mate ?.

20.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 09:11:55
Probs Neil mccann mate. He has managed at a slightly higher level than kt but this isn’t abt experience anyway. This is about getting 3 guys in that understand the club. They all talk sence on punditry in any replays I watch. Craig moore could help sort out the defence. kt the mf. Let’s face it. Ye could include barry Ferguson in that if he was asked. I like toms idea of big sync also. But again. This is my opinion and no one has to agree.

21.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 09:19:59
Sean dych.

23.) 14 Oct 2022

I think GVB still has a lot to offer.

24.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 10:08:24
Bodo/ glimt manager. Heckingbottom, thompson? The mind boggles.

25.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 10:24:44
What exactly, EHL? I'm intrigued to know what you see, that most don't now?! Is it his inability to set our team up the right way against the tims? Is it the way he plays for the zero against inferior opposition away from home in the league? Is it the way he threw away a 6 point lead in the league last season? Is it his inability to get a tune out of the players in CL? Could it be the way his tactics bore you to death? Or maybe that he's about to lead us to the embarrassment of being the worst team in CL history? C'mon, get real here! ????
Gio is a busted flush, and it's time he folded and done one!

26.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 10:40:33
I would go for a local manager.

27.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 11:48:19
Kjetil Knutsen.

28.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 11:52:10
Let's get rid of park first bring back Dave king and see where we go from there.

29.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 12:09:20
Livi why will u and others not answer the question, king said he was at Anfied supporting Liverpool against rangers.
Why we want him back, all his shares up for sale.

30.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 12:40:52
Well John when he was at rangers he wanted the best for us. He came out at least once a week and communicated. We need a new board before change of management. As any new manager will have his hands tied and be inheriting a squad put together between 5 and two managers ago. Gio has now balls or personality for this job in my opinion but he needs to be allowed to bring in players that he wants.

31.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 12:45:25
You don’t need to support rangers to be either the manager or own the club.

Dave king was a risk taker. He tried to put the best team in the park and he backed Gerrard. Hellander, Hagi, Kent all bought for big fees. He seemed to know it was all about beating Celtic and finishing 1st. And let’s be fair to him he done just that.

He comes with baggage and lives in South Africa where he has issues with the tax authorities. Like him or loathe him he was a success. Since he left the team is in decline. SG was clearly unhappy with the new board who didn’t want to improve on the park. The balance sheet might be better but the team isn’t and that is where the buck stops. So I understand why people want Dave king back.

32.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 13:04:05
Beale ain’t leaving QPR at this time for us also we aren’t sacking our manager so it’s pointless asking gio Will be here to end of season.

33.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 13:21:34
Tjrfc I mist stop having an opinion, my view my info, hom and McAllister turned down job

Livi thanks for answering my question. My difficulty baz is all his shares r up for shale, granted as u say tax authorities pushing him.

He undoubtedly along with a hand full off others ridded our club off the vultures for now. Some off them are hovering again, some are waiting in the background.

34.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 13:22:25
Every suggestion is questionable at the least. Couple of wins and gio will be god again. Fickle.

35.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 13:54:55
Sean Dyche. My comedy selection would be wee Billy Davies ?.

36.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 14:01:22
You are right John about getting rid of the vultures but park and co don't seem to different. They take our money in the millions, they are t spending anything and they don't communicate with us. We may have disagreements on here but we all love the club we want the best and we want answers we aren't getting that mate. If we heard more from the board and they told us what is happening then we wouldn't feel rubbered and would cut down on a lot of the wild arsed sh+-& on here. The only time we hear anything it confrontation to everyone else apart from them. When people blame others and bury their heads it's normally down to issues within themselves and shouting the odds is really covering up your own frailties.

37.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 14:11:25
As a couple have suggested if Gio were to move on Duncan Ferguson would be an interesting appointment.

38.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 14:26:48
I agree Dunc would give 100% no questions asked but as per my earlier message any manager would have the same restrictions.

39.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 14:32:41
As king pointed out without parks bailing us out start off 55 season along with wolthardt and Scott we would have went under again.

Livi why do king and all the other shareholders continue to vote park and his son remain on board at every agm, only they can remove him. U need 75% to vote against a board member. Last agm park got 95% off vote, that’s with 3% not voting 1872 voted for park senior

His son received 85% vote, lowest any board member. 1872 voted against

I do not like either park but they r not the issue, money and income is the proBlem. If yo or I won 150 million in euro million we can’t just rock up and put 75 million into club because of ffp.

As Jordan pointed ou yesterday Liverpool get 150 million a year from sky, Scottish football 40 million.

40.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 14:56:53
I actually shot the big Dunc suggestion down when Tom first posted it, but it's beginning to grow on me. Don't know If he'd come back up here after the way he was treated?

41.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 15:13:30
Feynord haven’t won a single thing since he left so jokes on them.

42.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 15:16:10
Wish people would forget about king we need to move foward not back.

43.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 15:24:49
Heckingbottom… is this what it’s came to ?.

44.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 17:21:49
Tjrfc Beale did walk out on us so John is correct in what he is sayin.

45.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 17:33:55
Respect what you’re saying John I just feel if Beale had stayed he’d have been out a job with Gio anyway. If he’d been offered the job then turned it down I’d say stuff him. Just have a feeling he could do something. That being said, as much as I don’t think Gio will turn this round, he’s got my support until he’s out the door.

46.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 20:48:48
The question we should be asking is WHO? In their right mind would be interested in us in our current state. Long term injuries. com, players in mid or late 30s. numerous players either out of contract at end of season or wanting out and a board who don't like to talk to anyone about anything!

47.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 20:59:42
Knutsen and KT as assistant would be my choice.

48.) 14 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 22:35:12
Leaving for a better opportunity and "walking out" are 2 totally and unequivocally different things ahahahaha.

49.) 15 Oct 2022
14 Oct 2022 23:27:55
Beale's tactics didn't get us far before, don't get why people want him back!

50.) 15 Oct 2022
15 Oct 2022 10:53:43
Storm I agree also people should get behind the manager and team until the league has been decided if he were to lose the league then a new appointment would be fair enough but for me so far he's hit targets. I never expected much from champions league after the draw.

So let's all just support the manager and team with everything we've got and see where it takes us.
