Can anyone explain why they’re so excited about the possibility of signing Raskin? Seems a little over the top to me from what I’ve been able to see of him. Not knocking the boy before he even signs but highlight reels are all kids football and his stats for an attacking mid at standard liege ain’t all that just wondering ??‍♂️.

I thought he played deeper in the midfield Highlandbear. There were rumours last year that Barcelona were interested so that might be why some are excited. There were quotes that standard liege wanted to build the whole team around him so he must be decent
Every signing is a gamble at the end of the day and no one knows so it’s annoying when some fans write off a player like Whittaker before he’s even signed.

He's literally played 1 game in his entire career as an Attacking Mid.

Not claiming I've seen him but he's supposedly a Leader and has a very good passing range. Not an Incredible attacker or defender but very solid at dictating the pace of the game and beating a press with his Dribbling/ Passing. Something only Davis has in our squad.

I don’t think Raskin is an attacking
mid but his clips are underwhelming. Looks a bit ponderous and lacking in acceleration to shake off opponents.

He’s not coming into be an attacking mid, he’s coming in to take over the much needed number 6 ( Davis ) role. Range of passing/ work rate and ability to win 1v1 duels without fouling are his main strengths.

He’s more of a 6 Highland Bear not an attacking mid, his range of passing is good and gets about the park well with bags of energy. He would be starter for us in the engine room.

Coully I've been hearing that for years was told same withlast few Flo's in that role zungu and what wa a other couli. something meh forgot him already and I just see the same type of highlights with this guy when you highlight real shows you him passing to a keeper and all youth games there is something not right.

Or maybe orange since we've been closely linked last year and people have checked him out to see if he's any good. With Davis getting on, Jack's injuries and Kamara possibly going sounds like perfect signing to me. Young with plenty of potential for the future too.

The problem regarding Kamara would be the fact he needs to get Surgery over November he was scheduled to get it done but was put back no team will buy just for him to be out for a X amount of time if we hadn't had the amount of players injured he would have got it done.

Totally agree coully ?I've only seen few clips of nicolas raskin and he looks a no.6 type midfielder to me ? Definitely not an attacking mid.

I don’t know the kid so having looked him up he was referred to several times as an attacking midfielder videos I watched had me think a little bit of Hagi, don’t know if anyone else thought that? Like I say not trying to sleigh the kid just wondering why all the hype!
