I can't remember where i actually read this article last night but the article i read did state that eintracht frankfurt, union berlin and wolfsburg have made contact with bayern munich regarding malik tillman ? All 3 german clubs are believed to have made enquiries about what it would take to possibly sign tillman on a permanent deal ?.

1.) 10 Feb 2023
10 Feb 2023 20:11:33
Do we have 1st refusal on Malik?

2.) 10 Feb 2023
10 Feb 2023 21:12:48
No surprise there at all. I hope reports of us having first refusal or something are true.

3.) 10 Feb 2023

GMS that is correct mate.

4.) 10 Feb 2023

Think you will find that we have him on a loan to buy deal.
That usually means a fee has been agreed and we have the first option to take it up.
Bayern have a buy back clause that give them first dibs if we then sell at a later date. No doubt other conditions woill be in the deal but that is the gist of the loan to buy deal.

Any other clubs can only get involved if we don't sign him.
Bayern cannot sell to another club even if the offer £x amount as it would mean breaking a contract.

10 Feb 2023 21:48:20
Yeah GMS.

6.) 10 Feb 2023
10 Feb 2023 21:53:13
We have 1st refusal but it will not be the first time the board has lied to us.

7.) 10 Feb 2023
10 Feb 2023 21:54:55
Yes there is a buy option on his contract.

8.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 00:16:07
He was in Munich this week speaking with Bayern. He would rather remain in Germany with his family based there which is understandable.

9.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 00:27:31
His brother just moved to the USA I think Tillman stays.

10.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 02:05:30
Just because we have first dibs on him don't mean he will want to stay at rangers.

11.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 06:10:01
Nizzy any chance that you could provide the details off when the board lied to us? because i am struggling to think when they did.

11 Feb 2023 06:43:57
Missy what lies do u refer to.

13.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 07:16:27
Can Bayern buy him back (I am assuming for a higher than we would have to pay them in the first instance) and then sell him to someone else for more money immediately?

14.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 07:52:46
Can’t find the article anywhere but his brother has signed for Los Angeles.

15.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 08:24:30
The article is here.

16.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 09:57:27
RFC86777, you say he would rather stay in Germany? I’m guessing you know him personally and must have had that conversation with him to know that? Seems strange though seeing as he’s come out plenty of times stating that he’s living it here, would like to stay and that it’s basically just down to the clubs to sort things out.

17.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 13:04:26
True blue yes for example we could complete permanent deal for £5m but Bayern exercise they’re buyback for £15m immediately. Good business for us but not if want the player. Example would be Cucurella loan to Eibar from Barcelona. Eibar exercised their loan to buy only for Barcelona to buy him back with their first right of buyback the same summer.

18.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 13:09:36
We buy at the price agreed Bayern get first option to buy if we decide to sell at our price.

19.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 13:51:45
Fife that is about his brother.

20.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 14:26:30
It's only 1st refusal if bayern decide to sell.

21.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 16:05:52
He will not get in the first team at bayern they will just sell him to another German club for more money but sure we can turn down there money there offering we don't need to accept or do we.

22.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 16:25:17
I guess it depends on whether Bayern want him for their squad or whether they are happy to sell him to us at the OTB price. Thereafter any deal has to be a good deal for us.

23.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 17:17:23
Like most, I don't have a clue about the technicalities of Tillmans contract.

He's a joy to watch at times though, and hopefully he continues to develop and puts in a couple of big performances over the remaining Old Firm games.

24.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 17:21:52
If there going to sell him to us for 5 6 million and then buy back the same season for 9 million say waste of time I am not saying that's going to but it could unless it's 5 6 million but if it's 16 million back that's good business not if it's only 9.

25.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 17:46:36
Yous are saying Bayern's can use the buy back option lol. Bayern's have first refusal to buy him back. that's it. Bayern's can't decide they want to buy him back and we have to sell him lol.

26.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 19:30:28
That's fine noone actually knows the real ins and outs of the deal apart the Ross wilson the board and the manager.

27.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 21:15:50
Reports of the time and club said that we had option loan with an option to buy so of this is now not the case.

As I said before our club are lying through Thier teeth director interview saying we ring fenced the money for tilman already which I'm no begining to believe is ?? and if this does turn out to be the case should we not be asking why we are playing a guy with no purchase option on loan from Bayern before one of our own youth

Developing players for other teams to sell is total incompetence for me.

28.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 22:35:43
Fife that it’s not the article coops is talking about.

29.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 22:36:27
Gofor can you show me where the club said option to buy.

30.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 23:09:14
Gofor, we're playing him because he's very good.

31.) 11 Feb 2023
11 Feb 2023 23:51:29
Ross Wilson said when we signed him we had secured an exclusive option to buy…

Read above links if they posted… or simply Google it!

12 Feb 2023 09:44:11
This is shrewd buisness if we pumm it off boy's à player and loves it here, loves been part of our team

So its down too the clubs too sort a price, n down too us too sort terms with malic too make him ours its how we manage too get players of his calibre, loan too buys cause if they make it too bayern first team or in any plans no chance would wee get a look in

N I really hope we can and do get first refusel as he is a class act.

33.) 12 Feb 2023
12 Feb 2023 10:02:10
Bayern have no option but to accept the agreed price although Tillman could reject the offer if he wanted to. It’s not a case of if Bayern decide they want to keep him the clause is null and void. Option to buy means a set fee has already been agreed and if we activate that fee Bayern simply have to accept.

There's a side of this that a lot of people are missing IMO. The Player.

Yes Rangers have first option to buy from Bayern as part of the loan deal, they can't ell him to anyone else if Rangers take up the option AND Tillman agrees to the contract Rangers offer to stay.

But a Loan to Buy isn't set in stone if the player doesn't agree to the contract offered at the "buy" stage.

Interest from other clubs will have his agents ears perked up and looking for the best deal for the player.

If Tillman decides that his future is better served financially and from a footballing sense by going to a team in the Bundesliga, rather than Rangers (which both financially and from a footballing perspective you could certainly see him deciding) then all he has to do is reject the contract offer from Rangers.

At that stage, Bayern can sell to whomever else meets their asking price as Rangers were unable to agree terms with the player.

Its not quite as cut and dried as "first refusal means no-one else can buy him". The club could absolutely be telling the truth on the deal, but like with Kent and Morelos, you can't make players sign a contract on your terms, it has to be suitable for both parties.

12 Feb 2023 14:23:10
Just said the same above gdog… player can of course reject our offer….

36.) 13 Feb 2023
13 Feb 2023 00:57:23
Gdog normally all these things are agreed beforehand and player usually agree before loan happens that's why it's usually called loan to buy.

I use USUALLY a lot as our board is not something I trust and think they spout a lot of lies half the time.

37.) 13 Feb 2023
13 Feb 2023 14:44:49
Go for a mandatory loan fee would require the player to agree terms before the loan. an optional loan to buy however does not.

38.) 13 Feb 2023
13 Feb 2023 19:41:01
And storm I believe our manager just came out and said as much.

39.) 13 Feb 2023
13 Feb 2023 20:29:54
Monty do you have inside info? How do you know it's not pre agreed as it was with hagi.

40.) 14 Feb 2023
14 Feb 2023 09:33:10
Tillman has already agreed the deal in principle. It’s up to Rangers to conclude that deal! Tillman will only leave Rangers if Rangers do NOT want to make switch perm!

It’s basically a formality!

It’s really not difficult guys.
