This takeover is all very good but, how does it impact our first team if we are to stay within FFP limits. Would this new ownership have to sell naming rights to Ibrox to provide the club with a legitimate new revenue stream? Bigger sponsorship deals? Look at the potential prize money in competitions we could compete in. Champions league say maybe 30 - 40 million, spl 5m to win it maybe then a sustainable player trading model say bringing in 10 to 20m every 2nd season or maybe every season depending on how good our player recruitment is.
I hope it works out for the best but, i get the feeling some folk think that this takeover means we can spend like top teams but, we can only spend what our revenue allows us so we stay compliant with FFP.

You wonder why everything surrounding our club has to be such a circus? Why we wouldn't have been able to draft a shortlist of candidates and interview with a degree of decisiveness is inexplicable after the significant period since the departure of Clement, knowing Barry was always a gap filler.
The only hope is that the board wished to let Thelwell and purdy (sounds like an 80's cop series) make the final decision and that the due diligence pays off with new man hitting ground running.
If we take this approach to signing players, it's going to be a long old season.
Anyhow, whoever comes in gets my backing upfront.
