we really need to have a long hard look at the signing policy of previously injured players, or some with a history

i get somtimes it the onlyway too get top notch quality in and its a risk you take

but it hasn't payed of recently at all

roofe has missed more than played

i get its a terrible shame
but surly this was picked up in medical history

goldson- has been the one true one that has paid dividends he's beed excellent

its just examples

but we are paying Roofe silly money
theres no way a medical team don't notice we niggles

football is a ruthless game
you need too be ruthless or end up splashing cash on nonsense that's becomes a major problem n outlay for our team

our recent medical dealings have been way too much and its costing us dearly

we have too much of a recent history risking these on players who don't play more often than not

im not being nasty or derogatory too any our players its simple business acumen,

in football don't take big money risks on injured players

as more often than not you end up more than costs
plus a wage
on a player you can't use

in our last ten years or so we have be reallly poor with this

and burned too many times

n if we are looking at the boy up from man utd. are we learning from our mistakes.

It’s a pity about Roofe because there is a player there. But as with Leeds he was more on the treatment bench than the treadmill, I know Leeds United fans and they called him ‘ sick note ‘. Liverpool had a player like that, can’t recall his name? Got the same nickname, don’t even know if he’s playing now.

I think you’re spot on there John 27, if Roofe gets a twinge he magnifies it into something that’s not there, a mental block? The likes of McCoist, Butcher, etc would have played with non serious niggles, but it doesn’t happen now with players, if they sneeze it’s a catastrophic problem. I can understand a player not wanting to cripple himself, but surely something should be written into his contract concerning constant injuries, reduction in wages after a certain period of time?
