We have signed cracking potential from lower English leagues…ie Lovelace and he doesn’t get a sniff at first team football, would much rather he get a run than dessers who offers nothing…the problem with our youth system and is they hit 18 19 years old don’t get a chance and rot away, end up going down south to the 2nd and 3rd division. There is also the problem of the standard of youth football in this country it’s a disgrace…. potential spl players playing the likes of East Kilbride, gala fairydean and the likes…Scottish football is knackered until the sfa sort it out but the dinosaurs are to busy lining their pockets.

Celtic signed Dembele from an English Championship club and sold him for about £20m. There is plenty of good players down there.
Our fans looked down their noses at Ryan Porteous and he must be worth about £5m now. We could’ve had Hickey as well.
Good players can come from anywhere. We got Morelos from some obscure club and he turned out to be one of the greatest scorers we’ve ever had.

Our club trying to do what souness did with all English players but football has moved on since those days we will struggle to find same quality of player
If we are getting players it's guys that have already failed in some way so risk in them being a failure is higher our best signings have more recently been free market or low value risks any time we spend big money we seem to blow it.

Gofor there are decent players there to be had. but the Croatian league for example, the top clubs from Germany, italy and Holland tend to scout there, Sweden aswell, but yes good markets…the only negative for me would be we dipped our toes in the Croatian market and got katic who was highly rated and it didn’t work out well, where as they tried and got juranovic and he made them a profit. Maybe it’s a case for us to be scouting the right type of player?

Verdant…not going for hickey was a massive mistake from us in my opinion…think at that time we had Paterson on our books tho so maybe that was the reason why we never went for him. There has been others who have slipped through our fingers aswell. Lewis Ferguson for example, he’s thriving in Italy.

While I would like to see us sign players from Eastern Europe there are some good quality young players in the lowerEnglish Leagues. I'm just not confident that we are that good at bringing young players through.

I don't care what nationality Dembele was, or where Fulham found him. Celtic got Dembele for a developmental fee, and sold him for £20m. We must try and do likewise. Especially with the current rules regarding cross boarder compensation fees.
Also, Matt O’Reily and Tom Lawrence came from that league and they are more than good enough for the SPFL.

Do some actually think that Rangers coaching have the ability to turn those players into the players the are today, that's fairly laughable.
Scottish teams cannot attract high quality players due to lack of funds. simple.
Given the recent signings I also hold no faith in the scouting.

So many hypocritical fans. Lots of fans wouldn’t stand for young players with a lack of experience being played. When Hardie got his chances…comments he wasn’t good enough etc. there hasn’t been many young players who have left Ibrox and went onto better things. I would also agree re the markets, we have had good CF from Croatia in the past…Prso, Jelavic and Colak, the later should still be at Ibrox rather than Dessers.
