Is there any truth in the rumours Notts. forset have enquiredabout Butland? Iv read they've been knocked back by napoli for 1 of they're keepers also is it true he has a 5m clause in his contract, imho butland would only go if the money was too good to refuse and has said he wants to add trophies to his cv so I hope we can keep him at least till the summer.

Yes enquiry has been made, they have asked the question. They are operating under strict FFP restrictions just now so no guarantee they could afford any deal. And we aren’t pushing for the sale. Ross Wilson is a huge admirer of him and was pivotal in bringing him in the summer. Majority of the groundwork was done before Wilson left.

Forest about to be hit for breaching FFP down south, don`t think they will be buying anybody and likely they will get a points deduction so they will be battling relegation. Don`t think that will appeal to Jack .

I just don't see Butland going to Forest, he will win nothing there and I think right now that would be a higher priority for him.
They should be hit with a points deduction and with a bit of luck that will see them relegated and they will have their hands tied in terms of new player acquisitions.

For me Butland better than them but he doesn’t know what he’s walking into there.

I don't know how good Butland can be and I don't know whether ultimately he will prove to be better than Woods, Kloss, Goram etc but I do know they were all better protected than him, based on the quality of defenders they had in front of them.
Also the art of goalkeeping has changed over the years, height is considered far more of an essential attribute now, and the ability to play the ball with your feet seems to be the way to go.
Is Butland the best ever? Probably not, certainly too early to say in my opinion but I can understand why someone would make that case. Goals conceded on the road is pretty meager and all this with a right back that supposedly can't defend, a left back constantly caught out of position and bottling challenges and an unsettled centre half pairing, the stalwart of which comes in for his own fair share of criticism.
So Jack Butland; our best keeper, the best keeper in the SPL and that's all that really matters - for now anyway.

Butland has a long way to go but no question a significant upgrade on the McGregor we stuck in his last 3 seasons at Ibrox.

He did get beat from 25 yards twice! Gor and McGregor are legends and a big part of that is because of what they did against Celtic. The fact is that in 2 games against them, he hasn’t been able to prevent 2 loses. Not his fault necessarily, but you sound like one of these guys that can’t say anything negative about one of our players!
I said I like butland and he has done great but 6 months doesn’t come close to 10 years +.

Butland could probably earn more at forest, but he turned down more money to come to ibrox. At his age he wants the chance to win trophies and I couldn't see him wanting to play in a struggling forest team, no chance of trophies, no Europe either. I cannot see him ever wanting to join a club in their position.

Man U offered to double his salary to around 60/ 70k a a week he was also not going to start any games he will start with forest and they will be able to offer him 60k a week I don’t want him to go but a chance to play in the prem at double wages as no1 might be tempting for him.

Goram actually had a nigbtmare start to hos rangers career. Klos also had few howlers. Petrov free kick at ibrox stands out.
