Dont know much about Ben Davies other than the obvious that he stuck the rabbits up to them. But few guys saying he's got hamstring problems and fee is a bit steep, just need to look at Goldson. Hardly got 1st team games with Brighton and had heart issues before we payed £3m for him and he turned out no bad! If he's good enough for thw management then he's got my backing. Roll on the 30th july.

Before kick off i thought Ridvan would be the weak link, turned out not the worst of a bad bunch! Dessers……where do we start! If it comes down to a holding the ball up striker then he's not what is required. As much as Shankland wasnt top of my list if that's way were going to play in certain games and situations then i think he would be a top option for our league!

The old saying ‘no smoke without fire’ Eustace name been banded about for a few weeks, then the odds get tanked last night, now he's been sacked this morning!

Surely this is just all coincidence and the board aren’t setiously considering him.

Would be a very under welling appointment after some of the names being mentioned.

Time will tell.

It would also show a total disregard for Birmingham City, we would always approach a Club for permission to speak to a Manager or Player, I hope so anyway, I may be wrong though.

2.) 09 Oct 2023 16:09:07
I heard that Graeme Souness is part of the team from Rangers that are interviewing candidates. That may/ may not be true, I don't know, but it would give me more confidence that we had a strong, credible interviewing team. That's been my worry until now that our team would be flummoxed by flannel (that might have happened before a few times) . The Board have moved quickly to replace Beale and that was crucial. Supporters always get what the want in the end. I remember "PLG - Please Leave Govan" being displayed at Ibrox and PLG was gone, days later. It's always been the way.

Niemis his result went bad if you look and decion made then they won next two.

Well there we have it, another gutless performance if ever i’ve seen one…. and there's been a few so far this season.

How can this group of players think performances like that are acceptable, just highlights how badly we need some of the injured back to give us half a chance.

We’ll find out in the coming weeks if our fortunes could be turned round this season when we have a new manager in and a full strength squad. But i struggle to see that after tonights performance and how easily we were cut open with simple passes and a team that are willing to have go at it.

Far too many in the squad have gotten used to losing. A new manager won't be able to instill a winning mentality into them now. They just need moved on and a proper rebuild done. With money we don't have so in summary we are screwed.

2.) 05 Oct 2023 22:50:27
Drop tav as captain it's time for a total shift this team ain't going to win nothing so unfortunately looks like couple years rebuild unless next manager is amazing.

3.) 06 Oct 2023 01:21:03
Cant defend goals
Cant score goals
Cant keep possession in midfield.
No wingers
No pace.
Butland vs the world it seems, every goal he is shaking his head he must be wondering why he bothered coming.

The board have to get the next appointment spot on, no taking chances on project managers that might turn out good!

Since the late great Walter we haven't had a proven manager with any real pedigree…. McCoist, Pedro, Warburton, Gerrard (apart from 55) now Beale.

Get someone in that's won trophies, knows how to grind out results when the going gets tough at times and won't over complicate patterns of play tactics etc.

Wish the interim team all the best but i hope this doesn't drag on too long.

Beales time is up! I always give the manager thw benefit of the doubt, but this is starting to turn in to a proper s**t show! The only thing i can imagine the board will give him benefit of is the amount of injuries we’ve got, and now add Jack and Ridvan to that list. But with those players returning, can we say we’ve seen much this season to say that it will turn our fortunes around?

Think the board may keep him until after the St Mirren game, while they look for someone else then use the international break to get the new guy in and settled a bit.

Big Question is…. who do we get to replace him?

This club has only won 2 major trophies in the last 12 years. We are on our way to winning one now - Just 90 minutes away from a final at Hampden. As much as our fans are desperate to belittle this, it’s a big deal. This club needs silverware before it has a mental breakdown.

Also, we’re in a good position in terms of the Europa League. Our fans might try to belittle that too but it was only a few season ago we made real waves in this competition and domestic football took a backseat because of it.

There must also be a clear and obvious candidate to replace who we have. If there isn't anyone better to take over the job, what’s the point?

2.) 30 Sep 2023 19:38:23
I never thought I’d hear myself say this, but I’d get Neil Warnock in just to steady the ship, he’s enthusiastic, knowledgeable and gets players believing in themselves, it would be short term maybe till January, gives the board time to get someone in . I can’t see Beale turning this shambles around in fact it’ll just get worse as he’s reached the point of no return, so it’s Beales on wheels for me, sooner the better . Plus Warnock believes in giving the young uns a chance, something he ain’t afraid to do . It’s only my opinion, shoot away folks .

3.) 30 Sep 2023 19:50:48
Not going to take a job for 3 months.

4.) 30 Sep 2023 19:54:07
Verdant winning the league cup will just paper over the cracks and we could play they team that just pumped us today if we even get to the final ?‍♂️. It’s the league that matters and we are now 7 points behind them now because the board didn’t act when they should have straight after the Celtic game. But you keep flogging the dead horse.

5.) 30 Sep 2023 20:09:04
Verdant the league cup is not a big deal.
The point is we are absolutely awful, the fans have had enough they do not want to let it drag on any longer, if we bring in an interim manager he will certainly do no worse than Beale but will get the fans backing and possibly reinvigorate a team that is on its knees. The manager is lost and needs put out of his misery.

6.) 30 Sep 2023 20:20:41
Verdant, So we've gone from as long as we're winning to ignore league results because we've got a cup semi in November and a couple of euro games so don't do anything?

7.) 30 Sep 2023 20:26:30
Bennett wants a DoF in first, after Celtic game I’m told we sounded three potential managers.

8.) 30 Sep 2023 20:26:49
I don't know if there's any add ons attached to Dessers' contract but I'd cut our losses and make sure he never gets another game for us. Words fail me on how shockingly poor he is. If he's not missing glaring opportunities he's either offside, committing fouls or causing panic in our own box.

9.) 30 Sep 2023 20:59:42
Winning domestic silverware is a very big deal for a club who have only won 2 major trophies in 12 years. Celtic are about to overtake our trophy haul if we don't win anything soon. This might means nothing to you, but winning and being the most successful club in the country is a key part of Rangers identity.

10.) 30 Sep 2023 21:04:06
Kaiser the fans boo when we're winning. I was told on here winning means **** all and it's all about performances. It seems the goalposts move constantly, doesn't it? ?‍♂️?

Celtic played poorly today. Do you think they care? No. Football is all about winning. You would not back our team when we were winning, I do not expect you to back them now. I don’t expect you to back this team under any circumstances.

11.) 30 Sep 2023 21:20:41
Saying the cup is no big deal is the attitude that’s got is winning nothing wile Celtic take trebles our fans are embarrassing we should be out to win everything.

12.) 30 Sep 2023 22:00:09
Verdant, sorry but there is no guarantee that we will win the League Cup since we have two games still to play and on current form victory is far from assured.
We could have been two goals up before Aberdeen scored today but with Dessers as our main striker that just wasn't going to happen. Yet Beale continues to play him. Give young Lovelace the opportunity, he certainly couldn't be any worse,
Beale will go, sooner or later, problem is that the longer he remains the worse it will get.

Boyblue don't know if you seen at the end when PC came on the pitch to shake the players hands, the camera panned round to him talking to Dessers and giving him what looked like instructions…. on what i think was what he was shouting at. That looks to me a manager that wants to be meticulous on everything he's trying to implament! Love it! Like i’ve said in previous posts first proper manager since Sir Walter.

SWS been thinking that as well, all his goals have been great strikes so far! Just a pity he's only on loan.
We’ve badly missed a player like him. Still a bit raw at times but can only get better.

3 of our last 5 managers have been from England so the whole keep it British argument doesn't really matter. This appointment should be carefully considered and about experience and winning trophies. If that means he's from Europe or outwith then so be it but it can't be another gamble and hope for the best.

Fact of the matter is regardless of marking Mcgregor or not that wasnt the difference in the game. They scored from a returned ball from Goldson trying to be cute with a header in the last seconds of the half. We had chances in both halfs, as did they but our forwards didn't make them count. Its all if n buts, if Roofes goal stood and Lammers put his away we’re screaming Beales made amends for CL and Brenda is on the shakey peg! I think this team will come good but it may have to take a bit of patience.
