Talking about gattuso wanting to be Rangers manager last week when his pal materazzi said that's what he craves, well he could be looking for a job pretty soon with italy not qualifying for the world cup tonight 😲I honestly think gattuso will now lose his job as italy national manager after that tonight 🤔Like i said last week i've got a lot of time for gattuso and loved him as a player but has never went on to become a good manager ☹️

Italy have missed a few big tournaments of late, and it's definitely not like them, as they're the second most successful country in World Cup history, having won the World Cup 4 times. 🤔 I always expect Italy to be at a World Cup, and for me it's always strange when they're not there. 🤔 Always had a wee soft spot for Italy since I was a young boy, and of course later on under Walter Smith, we've had some superb Italian players at Rangers. 👌 Italy as a footballing national has fallen behind as of late and totally needs a revamp.

🤔 I know at the present it's currently not Rino Gattuso's fault totally, but as much as I like Gattuso, he definitely has not proved himself to be a good manager and has come up short so far in his managerial career. ☹️ Can't say the same when he played the beautiful game, as at one stage in his career, he was the best defensive midfielder in Europe and had an engine to die for. 👌

Premier League money has absolutely destroyed football. It's more like an event now than for the working man to enjoy. Football is not the same as it once was, sadly players are money driven and players don't seem to particularly care about the team they play for. Football in Italy has really hit a decline, it's a shame.

Katic has been playing well for a good while now, Yately. 🤔 He's improved a lot since he left Rangers, and Richard Gough has often said he wished he was still at Rangers because he always said there was a good centre half in Katic. 🤔 However, I don't think Katic would suit what Danny Rohl wants his Rangers centre halves to be like, mate. 🤔

The big clubs in Italy seem to have a policy of signing out of favour players from the EPL which is dragging down the level and also stopping development of their own talent. That said, they should still have enough talent to beat Bosnia, though I heard that they celebrated when they got through against N.I and heard who they were playing, so maybe arrogance affected their performance.

Italy had 10 men, so maybe that was part of the reason, but the buck stops with the manager. They still have good enough players to beat Bosnia, but they failed down to the manager.

What has he done to merit a starting position? Has he burst himself in training? Has he put in top performances of late? When he plays, he looks like he's on holiday and wanting an easy few months. Starting positions must be earned if we're serious about being the best team in Scotland.

Hardly loads of game time. Was he not ill for a while and hadn't kicked a ball in earnest since October, I believe. Very quick to write players off. If you guys had your way, we would have a team of 4.

Good point, Geesa. We destroy our own players at times, when it would be better to get behind them as supporters.
Some players need more time to settle and produce than others. I fully believe Skov will come good - form is temporary, class is permanent.

I'm sure I commented a few years ago, in one of the big competitions when he was flavour of the month & rumours were we were interested?
I couldn't see why we were interested then & I definitely don't see why we see him as an 8mill signing in the summer. (Especially as we are up to 2mill on wages & signing on fee right now!)

He deserves to start, cause we brought him in on loan knowing he wouldn't be sharp or fit, and would need games to improve on those things.

He starts for me, cause the money we've put out to have him here needs justified, and he starts because he'll never justify it in the stand or on the bench.

I've not totally written him off yet. I'd start him, see how he is, and if he's looking good keep him on; if not, hook at half time.

Wolfsburg are in a relegation battle, and if they fail to stay up, he may be ours for a lot less than has been discussed up until now. All ifs and buts, of course, and he has to start producing, or no-one will have him at any cost.

The money we've paid is 100% irrelevant and that logic is mind boggling. The only way he starts is if he deserves a start because of his effort and commitment, two things which have been missing from him so far in his Rangers career.

Just seen he went to German 2nd Division Team Magdeburg and they moved him up front and he's Rattled in 11 goals in
11 starts and is Top Scorer in the League . And we just spent
5 million on Naderi playing at a similar level.

Originally, strikers moved to right back at Poznan, signed for us, left us, re-converted to striker. My younger brother who's since left football played striker till around 19 before being reshaped as a centre back. It happens more often than not.

Both Chermiti's goals against them at Ibrox in the recent league game were outstanding goals, and the first one is all about timing and getting it spot on, because let's be honest a player could try that a lot of times and never time/connect as sweet as Chermiti did.

👌 Regarding his second, I absolutely get where John is coming from, because the not one but two pieces of skill by Chermiti to score that type of goal has to be appreciated and greatly applauded. 👏👏 It was an outstanding goal. 👌 🇬🇧
