Two weeks of no football is killing me, some Richard Ashcroft tonight instead. Buzzing

31 Mar 2026 19:10:23
Bittersweet. πŸ‘€πŸ˜‰

31 Mar 2026 19:15:10
Cheatin Beaton in charge on Saturday?

31 Mar 2026 19:15:51
Fork, I believe the Danish "Symphony" orchestra are performing before the match tonight. πŸ˜‰

31 Mar 2026 19:33:44
Like a bit of classical or opera. πŸ‘ Love hearing Cavelleria Rusticana Intermezzo by a full orchestra or Deborah's Theme, superb. πŸ‘

31 Mar 2026 19:39:04
I will be carried out to Con te partiro.

31 Mar 2026 19:43:21
I would recommend listening to Einar Selvik and Eivor Palsdottir performing Helvegen with the Danish Symphonic Orchestra.

It is an experience of the history of my people in one song.

31 Mar 2026 19:46:33
Superb, Dado, πŸ‘ Listen to his boy Matteo singing "Cautionary Tale", u won't be disappointed. πŸ‘

31 Mar 2026 19:49:32
"Saturn" by Sleeping at Last for me, Dado.
That's 2 for u to listen to, let me know. πŸ‘

31 Mar 2026 19:52:56
Einar is a Bergen native also, a multitalented city.

31 Mar 2026 19:56:06
Listened to it Aphe, like the beat n the backing, the guy looks like a guy out of Vikings, it's like a call to battle from a film score. πŸ‘πŸ‘

31 Mar 2026 19:56:10
Voluspa or God Natt Oslo will be the music that takes me to the gods.

31 Mar 2026 20:00:55
Fork, he wrote the soundtrack to the Vikings series. I am sure he appears in one scene.

31 Mar 2026 20:01:40
Chorus of the Hebrew slaves. Wonderful.

31 Mar 2026 20:19:41
Beautiful song, Athole.

31 Mar 2026 20:24:14
On it, mate, he's supported by the Royston club, they sounded outstanding!

31 Mar 2026 20:26:08
Didn't know I'd heard it till I listened to it again. πŸ‘πŸ‘

31 Mar 2026 20:44:56
Lucky Man, Dado. Enjoy!

31 Mar 2026 21:09:06
Have I come on the wrong site here. 🀣🀣🀣
I like a bit of Acdc.

31 Mar 2026 21:14:29
Barber's Adagio for Strings is a good one. I never liked opera music until a few years ago. 70s disco and country n western still my favourites. I love walking down the street like the Bee Gees. πŸ•ΊπŸ•Ί

31 Mar 2026 21:18:41
Aye the Hee Bee Gee Bees. πŸ‘€πŸ˜‰πŸ˜„

31 Mar 2026 21:21:56
Platoon. πŸ‘πŸ‘

31 Mar 2026 21:43:10
Funny enough I had the Hee Bee Gee Bees big time a few days ago after my 18 weeks tropical bender. Rattling about like a jack in the box with a burst spring. πŸ₯³

31 Mar 2026 21:46:47
I never liked AC/DC until a few years ago as well.

31 Mar 2026 22:13:34
Whole new meaning to Stayin Alive bud. πŸ˜‰πŸ‘

31 Mar 2026 22:14:44
I love Barber's Adagio for Strings. Three Cheers.
I remember when the dance version came out, I couldn't believe it.
In Platoon, Elephant Man, etc., also played at famous funerals.

31 Mar 2026 22:22:58
Rodrigo's Concerto de Aranjuez on guitar, though, and not the Brassed Off version (although that isn't bad). Recuerdos de la Alhambra by Tarrega as well. Got into Spanish classical a while back after I went to see a chamber orchestra playing it. Really haunting.

31 Mar 2026 22:28:19
Cracking tune, Wilkins. Tiesto done the dance version, which is also brilliant.

31 Mar 2026 22:38:14
Am an old punk. So am a bit more classy than you lot. Who killed bambi? eh?

01 Apr 2026 01:22:19
Andrea Bocelli, Sarah Brightman "Time to Say Goodbye" class.

01 Apr 2026 05:34:44
Can't beat a bit of Hans Zimmer.

31 Mar 2026 15:48:47
Will be glad that's the international break over and back to the club football πŸ‘So looking forward to our game against Dundee United on saturday and hopefully sitting top of the league after full time, until sunday at least πŸ™Then will have a nice wee saturday night enjoying a couple of beers and watching the deontay wilder V derek chisora heavyweight fight πŸ₯ŠI'm going to bet wilder to win in rounds 4, 5, 6 and rounds 7, 8, 9 πŸ€” Can't see it lasting the distance especially if wilder is to win and i think he will πŸ€”Chisora is actually favourite at 8/15 and wilder is 13/8 😲

Agree3 Disagree0

31 Mar 2026 18:12:50
If it turns into a Chisora type slugfest, then I can't see Wilder winning.
Two fighters I always thought Wilder would have struggled with were Chisora and Carlos Takam.

31 Mar 2026 19:18:35
DeBoer, I can't see Wilder winning, not a heavy enough hitter imo.

31 Mar 2026 20:21:09
Not a heavy enough hitter, Fraser. πŸ˜‚ Wilder has the hardest right hand in the heavyweight division, and one of the hardest right hands in heavyweight boxing history. πŸ₯Š πŸ‘Œ

31 Mar 2026 20:46:20
I think what he means, Coop, is that Wilder has lost his power and really should be retired after his last 3 losses. βœŒοΈπŸ‘πŸ€Ÿ

31 Mar 2026 21:02:24
If anyone watched Moses Itauma last Saturday night, they should all be worried, the next heavyweight superstar that boy.

31 Mar 2026 21:36:37
Wilder won't win. He is done. He knocked out the majority of his fights against cab drivers. Anytime he has fought anyone decent, he has been beaten.
His resume is terrible. He held the WBC belt hostage for years.

31 Mar 2026 22:20:37
Aye whatever, Storm. πŸ€” The boxing critics in the know say different, my friend, as Wilder dominated for a decade or more. πŸ€”

01 Apr 2026 01:37:29
Dominated who, Coops?

01 Apr 2026 01:41:42
Coops, it's okay having the hardest punch, it's landing that counts. Wilder has been done for more years than I can remember. Itauma is worth watching, his only way is up. What an uppercut the other night, delayed reaction response, down big time.

01 Apr 2026 02:00:40
Coops, Wilder couldn't beat Casey's drum.

01 Apr 2026 02:03:59
Storm, even holding the wee belt, he demanded a triple fight (can't remember who against). He got knocked out in the first two fights, then renaged the third fight, like you say he won against nobodies.

01 Apr 2026 06:34:42
It's there in black and white in the record books, Fraser, go read it pal, don't take my word for it. πŸ€” I agree he's about done now, but even the boxing critics speak of his decade at his peak dominance, and I said years ago if Joshua had fought Wilder when Wilder was at his best, he would have knocked Joshua clean out within 6 rounds.

πŸ€” Also, whether you care to believe it or not, Wilder had the hardest right hand in the heavyweight division, and if not, one of the hardest right hands in heavyweight history. πŸ‘Œ Regarding Moses Itauma, I absolutely rate this young heavyweight very highly and think this young man is definitely going to the top in boxing. πŸ₯Š πŸ‘Œ

01 Apr 2026 07:34:08
Fraser, cumon mate. πŸ€” Wilder has landed loads of times with his famous right hand, my friend. Look at his knockout record, and you're saying it's ok him having the hardest right hand, but it's landing that counts. 😲 I think he's landed a fair amount in his career to put it mildly. 😁

01 Apr 2026 08:21:34
Swsobe, has held the lowest belt in the heavyweight division. He fought nobodies.

31 Mar 2026 13:01:08
Kipbear thank you for your understanding my friend.

I do not comment on speculation regarding SK Brann for what i thought were obvious reasons.
I am not just a fan so it makes things very different.

Gentlemen you who you are, thank you for your defences of me on multiple posts. I do appreciate it.
You guys show the best of this site.

Out of respect for you guys I will address 2 non transfer related questions.

On the point of Rabbi Matondo, I feel he is still young enough to have a successful career.
He has had a very unlucky time at Rangers as many players in the past have with injuries.
It was the previous regime that offered him the contract so the abhorrent language used to describe a young man who accepted the offer is frankly disgusting.
He is a talented individual who with guidance, and with luck on the injury front he can gain a platform to show.

One poster said it was perhaps his level.
Given the fact that the Eliteserien is ranked higher than the SPFL i would accept anyone who can perform at this level. 🀣

On Denzel De Roeve.

I think he is a great young man and an exceptional talent who will undoubtedly move to bigger things in the future.

He is mature beyond his years and a very composed player, he is an example to follow with his approach to training.

That being said he is a very intelligent player so is not a player who blindly bombs down the side of the pitch.
He rarely gets caught out of position.

Once again guys thanks for your understanding on this matter.

Agree12 Disagree0

31 Mar 2026 13:34:25
Aphelion, cheers for the information on De Roeve, mate, hopefully Matondo goes injury free and he's a great success at Brann.

31 Mar 2026 13:46:41
You're a top guy, Aphelion, so you are my friend. πŸ‘Œ

31 Mar 2026 14:18:10
Well said bud. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

31 Mar 2026 15:05:26
Thanks guys, I did mean to say you know who you all are.
I appreciate you all. It is men like yourselves that make this site enjoyable.

31 Mar 2026 16:32:04
Denzel De Roeve. Is Rangers interested in this guy, Aphe, or did someone ask you about him?

It's not Matondo's fault he got a massive contract; it's not like anyone of us would have knocked it back.

31 Mar 2026 16:35:10
I was asked about him, Strom, as someone speculated Rangers' interest.

31 Mar 2026 17:09:03
You were not funny the first time Dcdel.

Saying it again does not make it funnier.

31 Mar 2026 17:19:04
Absolutely agree ref the contract offered to him. I would have taken it.

I just want him gone and off the wage bill.

31 Mar 2026 17:23:50
Cmon, Aph, have you no sense of humour, and on the Matondo situation my take on it has not changed, to me he is still a wage thief but that is my opinion, so each to their own, no disrespects to anyone.

31 Mar 2026 17:29:09
It is disrespect. He did not choose to get injured. He is not a thief, he is getting paid his contractual agreed salary.

31 Mar 2026 17:38:29
Thanks, Aph, I appreciate you responding. Glad to hear he is a good prospect & also a top guy, so hopefully he has a fantastic career wherever that is. I hope Matondo does really well for you. He obviously has something, he just needs a really good run of games to showcase his talents.

When all the players talk about who they're close to, he always gets mentioned, so he must have something about him. And anyone I have spoken to in or around the club has never heard a bad word spoken of Matondo. Matondo, all the best with Brann, good luck.

31 Mar 2026 17:44:18
Stop biting Aphe, you're like a big Norwegian Salmon. πŸ‘

31 Mar 2026 18:18:10
I know Fork, although it has been pretty constant digs for a while, unfortunately, I have responded to one.

31 Mar 2026 19:03:51
I see a good few posters on here as trustworthy and friendly. You fall into both, Asa.

31 Mar 2026 19:10:12
White horse, I thank you, my friend. You were one of the first to welcome me into the Rangers family, and I hold you in the highest of regards.

31 Mar 2026 19:13:07
Brush them off, bud, silence is all the answer they get. πŸ‘

31 Mar 2026 19:20:32
My mother raised me never to ignore anyone, I just need to realize that it is the ones having digs that are the ignorant ones.

31 Mar 2026 19:14:39
No time for players like Matondo. saw an opportunity and took it with all the perks available. If all of a sudden he starts playing like a superstar which I highly doubt then the proof will be in the pudding that being a parasite has benefits. Glad he's gone. good luck Brann - you'll need it.

31 Mar 2026 19:34:43
It simply did not work out for Matondo or Rangers, but let's remember it was the club who approached him. We obviously thought he was a player with ability.
Personally, I wish him all the best at Brann and hope he resurrects his career in Scandanavia.
No hard feelings as far as I'm concerned.
Aphelion, I hope Rabbi can do big things for Brann.

31 Mar 2026 22:36:28
Aph, Rabbi had the tools at his disposal to be an absolutely fantastic player. However, he needs a total shift in mentality and work rate. Hopefully, that can be something your coaching team can work on improving.

I always compare him to Maeda. Mostly because of their physical stature, speed and limited technical ability.

For me they are all on par with each other. However, one player is Scotland player of the year and the other can't get a game for his team.

And the difference between the 2 is Maeda's work rate and determination. Hopefully this is something he can emulate.

31 Mar 2026 08:21:19
Aph with the speculation of Matondo joining your club, do you think your style of play and the Norwegian league will suit his style. Personally I've always thought theirs a player their, granted his first touch has been terrible at times but playing in the spl against low blocks never suited him.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Mar 2026 09:41:57
Matondo has a talent and is absolutely blistering fast, but his control and final ball, at times, lets him down. πŸ€” He also plays with his head down a lot of the time instead of looking up before delivering his final ball into the box.

πŸ€” However, I wish Matondo absolutely all the best with his new club SK Brann and hope it works out for him and the club. πŸ™

31 Mar 2026 10:17:46
He never really had a decent run of games at us because of injury. Someone at Man City and someone at Schalke obviously thought he had more than speed in his game. If he can get fit and stay fit, then he showed in brief flashes for us what he can do.

31 Mar 2026 11:00:09
He had a great season in Belgium before coming to us, which had a lot of us thinking he would be a great signing.

31 Mar 2026 12:53:09
Agree, Coopers. I am not having this, he is only fast and there isn't a player there, as he has shown it before. I know it is the disappointment of him not doing it for us, but I want him to keep fit and do well wherever he goes. Seems like a good guy who the squad all like as well.

31 Mar 2026 13:39:34
I think Matondo is far better than Gassama.

31 Mar 2026 14:24:32
Rab, 60 appearances in 4 years. You need to be fit and available to be better.

31 Mar 2026 16:33:55
Gassama is at this moment of time better than Matondo on what I have seen, but the boy really needs to buck up his ideas and get his head up. The way you describe Matondo, you can describe Gassama that way as well.

31 Mar 2026 16:57:20
Gassama is far better with the ball at his feet.

31 Mar 2026 17:02:55
Gassama gets on my nerves on many occasions now, beats men easily and goes back and tries it again, talent is there though.

31 Mar 2026 18:06:41
Star, if I had ever been good enough to beat a player, I think I might have done the same. πŸ˜‚

31 Mar 2026 18:14:09
He's doing it frequently now, Angus, he needs to cut that out, showed us he can be a player, mate.

31 Mar 2026 01:27:12
Troops, if it don't work out with Danny. Danny Rohl. We should look to some one who knows Rangers inside and out. Step forward Shamus O'Malley 🀣.

Agree2 Disagree0

31 Mar 2026 01:02:01
Troops, I would like to clear up an issue about Robbie Fraser. He is not my lad but a family member. I was so buzzing when he burst into the team I took the Manchester "our kid" route.
And for those who said he was leaking the team sheet. How many times did you see me put the team up?
NO. didn't think so.

Agree1 Disagree0

31 Mar 2026 06:52:07
No issue, White Horse. Who would not support a family member. πŸ‘πŸ» Wish the lad all the best with his career.

31 Mar 2026 07:56:15
There's always some numpty looking to besmirch or invent stories about our players, wouldn't worry, horsey, we know he didn't bud. πŸ‘πŸ‘

31 Mar 2026 08:29:39
Horse, I think every decent poster on here knew at the time that Robbie hadn't released any team sheets or done anything wrong. Just the odd few trying to cause mischief. Glad to hear he is doing well at Dunfermline.

Always hope one of our own developed players make it back home at some point, but if not that they have a good career elsewhere. Once a Ger, as they say. πŸ‘

31 Mar 2026 09:02:06
I always thought he should have stayed.
I always liked what I seen of him.

31 Mar 2026 09:47:13
WH, Robbie is one of ours and hopefully will be back with us under a new management structure. I never believed the noise around team sheet nonsense. Robbie is a good player who will continue to develop into a top professional.

31 Mar 2026 11:16:00
Think young Robbie is going to turn into top player. Just hope he finishes season well, you never know maybe a cup final in May.
Could lead to good move for him, maybe even Rangers is Rohl thinks he could do a job.
Good luck to the lad.

31 Mar 2026 16:35:06
Not seen or heard anything about him since he left. I didn't think he was good enough for Rangers, but if he is progressing and we bring him back I'll be right behind him.

31 Mar 2026 19:11:37
I'd actually consider, not definitely but consider, loaning him out for a season in SPL if we sign him back in summer.
I think this would best serve the player for his career, and in turn is for future seasons.

30 Mar 2026 21:48:04
I was just eating some sports mixtures (my favourite swedger) and i was raging years ago when they changed the flavour of the black ones from liquorice to blackberry.
My question to you all is what's your favourite swedger and no chocolate bars allowed, it needs to be a penny type sweetie?

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Mar 2026 22:40:45
Easy one. Basset's liquorice allsorts.

30 Mar 2026 22:42:47
Black jacks, 4 for a penny, back in the day.

30 Mar 2026 22:46:18
Cola Cubes.

30 Mar 2026 22:50:29
Kola cubes, sherbet lemoms, pears drops.

30 Mar 2026 23:03:36
Blackcurrant and liquorice or sweet peanuts. πŸ₯œ

30 Mar 2026 23:10:14
Like fruit pastilles, not the same as years ago, but still like them.

30 Mar 2026 23:30:57
Liquorice swirls were until I was about 12 and ate a full packet and ruined a holiday for everyone on the caravan site, if I see them now, it gets a bit tense.

30 Mar 2026 23:34:29
Spanish gold tobacca.

30 Mar 2026 23:51:57
Penny caramels & Spanish gold tobacco. Two halfpenny caramels could be good if yae got both into your mooing together, the ones coated with chocolate, plus penny whoppers (amazing).

30 Mar 2026 23:53:34
Black jacks or pear drops.

31 Mar 2026 00:24:56
Soor plooms (has to be Gibbs).

31 Mar 2026 01:00:11
Frosties fruit salads.

31 Mar 2026 04:57:44
Penny dainty (toffee), fruit salad chews and bon buns (strawberry or the blue ones and of course the toffee ones).

31 Mar 2026 05:28:54
Cherry drobs were good.

31 Mar 2026 06:23:50
Remember the 2p toffee that.

31 Mar 2026 06:39:42
Cinammon balls.

31 Mar 2026 06:52:52
Soor plooms and sherbet dabs - only wish the plooms were made in blue. πŸ˜πŸ‘

31 Mar 2026 08:00:56
Anybody remember Mojo's? Liked the refresher chew (same size as a penny dainty).

31 Mar 2026 08:15:33
Speckled doves.

31 Mar 2026 08:25:41
Lol, wondered why nobody had commented Mitsis or similar. Step forward Strom, lol.

Loved a speckled dove myself.

31 Mar 2026 08:40:11
Never heard of a speckled dove. πŸ‘€

31 Mar 2026 08:49:15
Chelsea whoppers, black jacks and fruit salad.

31 Mar 2026 08:58:49
Mind mojos? I miss them.

31 Mar 2026 09:06:59
Not a sweetie, but an MB Bar?

31 Mar 2026 09:08:39
Midget Gems, the proper ones. Not the cheap rubbish knock offs you get these days.

31 Mar 2026 09:45:11
Loved Argentina chews and Whopper bars from the van at school. πŸ‘ Also sweet peanuts and Wham bars. πŸ‘Œ

31 Mar 2026 11:03:50
Chelsea whoppers and strawberry bon bons.

31 Mar 2026 11:19:51
Opal Fruits, but not the same now they are called Starburst.
Can't leave anything alone, just change for change's sake.

31 Mar 2026 11:27:33
Mint Toffos.

31 Mar 2026 11:36:21
Fork, am sure you can still get them. πŸ‘€
Get two down yer throat at same time an just sit back and relax. ☺️

31 Mar 2026 11:42:25
Proper Kola Kubes with the gooey centre.

31 Mar 2026 11:48:02
Odd fellows. Penny caramel, Spangles, Cola cubes, Footballer chews. When I think back, any sweetie really. πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

31 Mar 2026 12:29:17
You had to make it sound dirty, I'll need to look for them, Storm. 😳🀣
Odd fellows, wow blast from the past, Spangles Olde English packet.
Cream line toffees anyone?
Taking me back now, Newman. πŸ‘πŸ˜„

31 Mar 2026 13:11:54
Brought back some good memories with all the old Swedgers that I've not eaten for years, Doves included. I have come to the conclusion that all of the above are the reason that my teeth now resemble a row of condemned toilets. 😁

31 Mar 2026 14:49:01
Double dropping, Storm!
Takes me back.

31 Mar 2026 14:55:18
Tooty frooty can't get them anywhere now, gave u a right sore jaw.

31 Mar 2026 15:13:42
Was that the wee square shaped chewy sweets with a hard coating, Fergie, and they were loose in a bag?

31 Mar 2026 15:14:04
10p mixture.

31 Mar 2026 16:28:24
Anyone mind ABC's? Used to get them and Caramel Buttercup (I think) from me gran.

31 Mar 2026 16:37:37
Double dunt we called it mph. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ You didn't think it was hitting you, so you took another cheeky one, and then it was a very strange night. πŸ˜‚

Fork, I honestly didn't mean to make it sound that way.

Strawberry Bon Bon's, real ones with the dust, not the ones you get these days, I loved.

31 Mar 2026 16:56:32
Lol, I know, bud. πŸ˜„πŸ‘

31 Mar 2026 17:52:35
Strange?
Wouldn't be the adjective I would have used, Storm. 🀣
The first time I did it, I had to be escorted from the nightclub in Edinburgh and spent the rest of the night in my mate's car getting chaperoned until everybody else returned at 4 in the morning!
On the topic of actual sweets, loved a McGowan's Highland Toffee.

And an iced caramel.
No wonder dentists make a fortune!

31 Mar 2026 19:16:12
Tooth Mintys too, Fergie. πŸ‘

31 Mar 2026 22:16:14
*Tutti * even. πŸ‘
