Read a previous comment that Scotland were the worst team at the euros, totally agree after watching all the games. I was totally indifferent whether they qualified or not as the team has no spark and filled full of journey men but let's not award the manager with another chance. Davy Moyes outstanding choice IMO. On a Rangers point of view, we all saw how ordinary McGregor is at that level. Before every OF game we seem to talk him up and give him the freedom to stroll around, let's fill our midfield full of young strong quick players who will get in his face and play our own game to win at parkhead in the first OF next season.

Scotland Probably were BT, but the one positive I'm taking from this tournament is that Scotland have found a whole new bunch of fans that can't stand Scotland but watched every game 😂 so many poster's on here who claimed to dislike Scotland were the first ones posting after every game. 👀.

that only goes to show how far our club has fallen i'm employing good players mate, if a ordinary, guy like mcgregor with very limited skills or value can cruise through every old firm game for years we know we have forgotten what good players look like

it’s all good and well blindly supporting every player who pulls the jersey on, what about the standards of the club? , the history, traditions of winning and the pride of filling the scotland squad, all gone in past 15 years or so, we must start buying quality because we have very little at present imo.

BT the problem lies a lot deeper than the manager. I’ve said on here before Berti Vogts warned this 20 odd year ago. The whole of football in this country needed revamped aswell as the level of coaching but nothing was done. Now the likes of Hungary, Albania etc are technically years infront of us. Nothing will change until drastic measures are taken at the SFA. The dinosaurs there have killed the game in this country.

I'm probably behind the times here but if it's true Dessers has requested to leave then personally I feel it's a shame. The big man had to lead the line himself for the majority of the season. Yes, he missed a few but 20+ goals in his first season was a good return. Probably driven out by the boo boys who claimed he was "pish" due to his misses. Haaland missed a fair few last season - is he "pish" as well?

It's not really a great comparison sirstruth, haland scored nearly 40 goals in epl, dessers scored just over 20 in spl. Could we afford to keep him as a back up striker? Would he even want to stay as back up? Can't just say fans drove him out, maybe been told won't be main man wants to go somewhere he will be, as he knows he's good enough to be. If we are serious about reducing our wage bill, then him or danilo would need to go imo.

Here's the dilemma. Probably the one and only time rangers will ever be able to recoup any money for him, given his age and his numbers.
Do we keep him as back up striker ( not sure we cam afford to. I'd sell him personally but he's an honest big player just not sure he's what we need right now.

Basic business sense says let dessers go if we recieve a decent fee plus his wages off the bill, most of us would be happy for him as a back up striker but with the direction we want to move in that isn’t sensible having big earners as back ups on less wages than starting players we would just be bringing in.

So portger, do you think if we had a good midfield it would be a fair comparison? No! One is the best striker on the planet the other isn't cutting it in spl, how can you possibly compare them mate? I reckon haland won't be far behind messi/ Ronaldo in terms of numbers at the end of his career, if injury doesn't hamper him.
Dessers can hold his head high if he leaves, his work rate commitment and goals has done him no harm whatsoever, unfortunately he's not the guy to take us forward, that's football.

i don’t believe that swm, coops said consistently that mclaughlin was nowhere near good enough. he never abused anyone to my knowledge, you’ve been listening to too many others, btw he was spot on wasn’t he, but i don’t recall any abuse, i'm fact i’ve only ever seen “ abuse” from one or two people on here, he isn’t one of them, i get your point but it’s wrong, mclaughlin is no better than a 2nd div keeper, how on earth he ever got near an international team is way beyond me.

Thoughts on the rangers away top? I thought it looked really nice so ordered it for me and the wee man for going away on holiday next week. Had to order from sports direct as rangers and Castore only had pre order option for my size. I ordered medium like every other top I order.

Like quite a tight fit. This top seems massive for a medium. Very baggy compared to every other medium. Material doesn't seem great either tbh. Probs worst quality top I've had yet from Castore.

Ps before anyone bangs on about sports direct there's no point. He owns half the high street and majority, if not all my clothes come from his stores I.e flannels, cruise etc.

One of the reasons i always buy the castore pro rangers home jersey as opposed to the replica one ie. you can see and feel the difference in quality between the two right away night and day TBH 🤔 The pro jersey is always truer to size and a much better fit 👌.

I’m more concerned with the quality of players in the jersey. So far this window our recruitment has been a shambles all these leaks on players coming to the club and then missing out on them . Koppen needs to keep his cards close to his chest and announce players when they have signed. It’s shoddy and unprofessional .

Jonathan Panzo has been told he can leave Forest, as they need to shift players. We were interested a year ago but he ended up going on loan to Cardiff then Standard Liege without ever really excelling. 23 year old fast and physical left centre back. No idea if we're still interested or if he was a Beale/ Wilson target.

Realistically, Moyes or McInnes the best options for Scotland. They aren’t going to attract a top manager from abroad and Moyes is at the age and is now a free agent where he would be interested. Mcinnes would do well too tbf. Clarke will likely get a new deal let’s be honest.

Moyes is a Scotland supporter and has been for years. The fans will go for that option every time. McInnes is a fair shout though and a more respected manager than Clarke ever was. Clarke just looks and sounds so bad in front of the TV cameras. Says all the wrong stuff very badly. Reminds me of Beale in some ways.
