That would be my team as well, Sws, but it's good having plenty choices now, mate.
I had Rommens lb in my team earlier before knowing if he was fit enough, glad having him back for the last four.
24 Apr 2026 15:01:10
Bang on, Sws, would be my picks also.
24 Apr 2026 15:44:31
Hopefully not, we need a bit more width.
24 Apr 2026 15:48:07
Not sure why everyone is always so keen to leave out Chukwuani who's been one of our most consistent players over the last 4/5 games. ๐คท
24 Apr 2026 15:51:40
Chukwuani starts before Barron.
24 Apr 2026 16:14:40
Bar his horrific 1st half v Falkirk, he has been outstanding.
24 Apr 2026 16:22:34
Paul, he made a mistake the game before against United and they scored, mate, but I do really like him, and the break could have helped him.
24 Apr 2026 16:25:02
Absolutely no chance he starts before Barron.
Paul, that horrific 1st half he got us back in the game with a massive goal.
24 Apr 2026 16:32:39
Chukwuani for Barron would be my only change.
24 Apr 2026 19:33:43
My Star, what was Chukwuanis' mistake against United that they scored from. Yes, he could have committed professional fouls on both occasions, but it wasn't his mistake that led to either goal.
24 Apr 2026 19:51:24
Gasamma and Chuki in for Moore and Barron for me. Chuki one of our best players and has won a title recently. Gasamma has shown up well in last few games and deserves a start.
24 Apr 2026 19:54:11
Should have fouled him, wslgers.
24 Apr 2026 13:50:53
That's very good news that Rommens should be fit for the Hearts game and Naderi also making very good progress and could well play again before the end of the season ๐๐ฌ๐ง

Massive weekend of football starting at 16:30 tonight.
Every round of games from now on is going to be intense.
Think we have the quality to win both leagues, providing we approach each game with the right mindset and control our emotions.

Should be top if things go well, Hibs game could be tasty, think City win tbh, could be tight against Hearts. ๐
24 Apr 2026 09:31:46
4.30 on a Friday is such a strange time.
24 Apr 2026 12:43:49
Hope you're right, EHL, love your optimism, mate WRATP (We really are the people. ๐).
24 Apr 2026 15:22:54
We were out of SWPL just a few weeks ago and could be top tonight, let's go, ladies! Patrick have made it difficult for the top teams recently, so wouldn't be surprised if they nick something of City.
Just get another 3 points on the board on Sunday, that's all we need to happen, let's, gentlemen! Was hoping Rommens would be back but still think we can do this.

My star a alphe and others who replied to my question
Which Rangers outfield player started his academy career as a goalkeeper
It was James tavienier at Leeds united. Played a season as a goalkeeper then converted to a midfielder, the rest is history. This was at Leeds united
Little known fact.

I'd have loved the fan reaction when GK Tav runs 80 yards up field to take a throw in.
24 Apr 2026 08:15:25
Wow, missed the question but never knew that.
24 Apr 2026 08:27:35
How about for GK /out fielders, what about Ross McCrorie keeping a clean sheet for us before Robbie?
24 Apr 2026 09:07:23
Huey, that made me laugh.
24 Apr 2026 09:08:06
Correct, Kaiser. Ross has 100% clean sheets.
24 Apr 2026 09:20:55
Hi John, there was a penalty shoot out on Rangers TV with 3 or 4 different players. One of them being Tav. Each player took a turn in goal, and Tav did mention that he started as a goalkeeper. Interesting fact.
24 Apr 2026 09:55:03
Cheers John, he wouldn't have been near my choices.
24 Apr 2026 09:55:21
Thanks John, is it true Derek Johnston started as a goalkeeper?
24 Apr 2026 10:37:38
Aphe, not that I can trace anywhere, he never played as a goalkeeper for any professional club that I can trace.
Mb someone else knows otherwise.
24 Apr 2026 11:17:38
Thank you, John. I thought I had read it somewhere, but clearly it was about someone else.
24 Apr 2026 11:47:26
If only Big Jack had feet like Tav.
24 Apr 2026 06:37:06
James Tavernier's figures speak for themselves. Number of games played and the amount of goals he has scored for the club. Sad that there were only three trophies that he lifted in his tenure. Personally I want him to lift the trophy at the end of the season if the league is won.
Defensively at times he has been wanting but to stay at one club for 11 seasons is a testament to the man himself. Pity that some of the managers he has served under were not Rangers class.

If we win the league he will lift the trophy, mate. He is the club captain.
24 Apr 2026 09:57:33
Like I said on discussions page, can't judge Tav purely on trophies won, he's only a player, not the manager. If we had Messi in our team we'd still have only won one league title over that period. Barring the last year or so he's been really consistent for us.
Finished top goal scorer in Europa League on our run to the final, and is Britain's highest goal-scoring defender ever. Unbelievable amount of assists as well, and was rarely injured over those 11yrs. We've had worse captains than that.
24 Apr 2026 10:20:51
Alloa, he has 13 goals and 7 assists this season, mate, but he has been going back the way for a while now. That's still a good chip in though. Only hope he's lifting the league trophy soon.
23 Apr 2026 00:03:32
The SPFL posted a compilation of every James Tavernier goal. Over 5 minutes long. Some of the ones against Celtic were absolute screamers and well worth a watch. Remember, this is just the free-kick goals, not his goals from open play which deserve their own montage IMO.
When was the last time we had a free-kick taker better than, Tavernier? The number of goals and assists is just ridiculous.

If you use TikTok there's a poster called thebazzaballs who has posted all Tavs goals. 20.25 mins long, it's a good watch. ๐ฌ๐ง
24 Apr 2026 09:35:41
Some fabulous goals. You've got to give him credit. We'll talk about him for years, some great, some good, some negative. Just short of legend? I'm on the fence.
