Good luck getting 33 million for a guy that plays in spl and can't make the national team. The boys a player no doubt about that, but how good is he once taken out spl? That's the question.

The boy is a decent player but can't get in the national team that isn't blessed with quality and has been rubbish in the big comps for them lot. They got daft money for Jota because it was Saudi and even then I'm sure they signed the wrong Jota lool.

Aribos best season with us was 9 goals and 10 assists I think, Matt O'Riley this season is almost double that so I'd say yeah he's better than Aribo.

Close one imo, may be marginally better and off the back of a good season, either way its scotland he is playing in. £33m is preposterous. The Denmark manager can obviously see the full picture and not just the hype. But they will get a good fee anyway they always do. You wouldn't get £33m for our full squad.

I wish folk would stop with the aribo/ o Riley stuff it’s embarrassing, O Riley is clearly the better player. Aribo was our whipping boy first couple seasons like we did to Tillman, he held the ball too long and slowed our play down, had a good season towards end of his time with us but still nowhere near the numbers and was used as a utility player and put everywhere but a settled spot.
Pretty sure o Riley will get a mid level prem move but nowhere near what Celtic are initially asking for especially with the financial fair play constraints currently being punished down south.

I asked if oriley is any better than aribo purely for debating purposes. Its more about the absurd valuation. Has oriley scored in a european final by any chance?
I think like many players we've had aribo played in a system that was put together to get the most out of Tav and focussed on him while celtic utilise their midfielders better. On the eye and certainly not physically i don't think there is much in it personally, not sure what's embarrassing about that bud. Orileys a good player no doubt i'm not denying it.

O'Riley stats are good, on a par with Tav, actually. Although Tav has enjoyed more wins in Europe and done it over a longer period. Hope we get 20-25 million for our current captain based on those stats.
