To win the league IMO:
We need 22/24 points available. Can we do it?
Hearts can prob take 20/24 and win it.
Second place if they take 21/24 they will take it.

papering over the cracks with tahat valuable 3 points. once again no strikers on the score sheet and Gassama another flop game on the right. our trikers are dire at best and must improve in the last games ahead. one huge positive is Barron back and speeding things up in midfield. too many players making easy money here.
15 Mar 2026 14:19:57
3 points is all that matters right now, Deecee.
15 Mar 2026 12:57:29
Gassama is an empty shirt! He's absolutely terrible. And his body language stinks.
15 Mar 2026 14:23:35
First signed, he looked an absolute bargain at his fee. Now, on his showings, we wouldn't pay that. He's still a young player and can only improve on what we've seen recently. Maybe talk of transfers. Looks like something's up with him anyway.
15 Mar 2026 14:35:54
Arfield said on commentary that he looks like his confidence is completely shot. It looked like that to me as well, but if he can regain that confidence, the original player will reappear.
15 Mar 2026 14:53:41
Angus, aye, that player's still there, mate, confidence is key.
15 Mar 2026 15:37:57
The original player was never consistent. He popped up with a screamer now and then, but in his play in general he is awful. This is what he is. A moments player; he'll get you a screamer off the bench on occasion.
He's better off the bench at Ibrox on the left. He's not a starter for me. The formation is absolutely chronic as well. Rohl is doing himself no favours. This team should be playing better than it is.
15 Mar 2026 15:54:12
Correct, L Mac. He scored a couple of goals early in his career with us, and that was it. He never had many good games at all.
15 Mar 2026 16:34:08
He's pants. If he insists on playing him, play him on the left. Mince on the right.
16 Mar 2026 14:19:04
Agreed Fork, though Rohl can't win. When we don't play, he gets it in the neck, then when we do, we still get it.
For me, I would play 1 up with Moore as a 10, and Gassame left and Olsen right.
14 Mar 2026 22:33:22
I'm sorry but after today results there's only going to be one winner if we don't win tomorrow.
14 Mar 2026 10:42:28
Stevie from 4lads speculated that Souttar might be at the heart of what's wrong with this defense. Djiga and Fernandez looked solid against Celtic but as soon as Souttar came on Rangers looked ropey at the back. He said, maybe Djiga and Fernandez have suffered from having Souttar as partner this season.
Joshua Barrie was also saying last week that when it comes to John Souttar' he is 'at the scene of the crime to often'. He's not good enough to start, not good enough off the bench. His mistakes against Livingston cost us goals a few weeks ago. How can we trust him to play in Europe or against Celtic?
I'd also mention just how long Souttar has been here. He joined Rangers in the summer of 2022. Almost 4 years. People point the fingers of blame at certain players for a lack of success and leadership. Why does Souttar escape this criticism?
14 Mar 2026 11:02:37
Not having a pop at Tav here, but both came on on the right side, and we're not ideally on pace with the game.
14 Mar 2026 11:03:46
He shouldn't escape any criticism, mate, he's been absolutely woeful all season, he's just not what we need at the back, God only knows how he got a new deal and a pay rise!
14 Mar 2026 11:04:06
Others have been well critical of Souttar on here for ages.
Including myself, who didn't think he deserved a new contract, never mind a wage rise.
14 Mar 2026 11:04:46
Souttar is a good example of last-ditch defending, i.e. making blocks and throwing himself into tackles etc.
Unfortunately, he has a bad habit of switching off at vital moments, often resulting in goals against.
I don't think he escapes criticism.
He gets it in the neck as much as any other defender. Is he good enough to start on a regular basis? I would say no. We need a commanding, dominant centre half - very difficult to find, unless anyone knows where to find the next Carlos Cuellar.
14 Mar 2026 11:09:33
Was about to say. I don't know how often you check on here, but Soapy gets his fair share of stick, and rightfully so.
14 Mar 2026 13:16:39
I remembered that Joshua Barrie was highly critical of Djiga's loan in general and also his performances under Martin and in Europe earlier in the season. Seems his opinion has changed - the value of hindsight perhaps. Not just him though, as I remember the stick he got on here as well.
Souttar, Butland and Tav, amongst others, get criticised on here after (and before?) every game.
BTW, I missed the game as I was away for the weekend, but others can answer this perhaps.
How dodgy was he when Celtic had 1 shot and it wasn't on target during the entire 120 minutes? And I believe that was before Souttar came on.
If you want my opinion on him, I think he is a current international defender. He is a good siege defender (which might not be what we need), and until we get better, he is part of the squad and we need to use him.
14 Mar 2026 13:39:08
Souttar struggles to defend the ball in the air, which is crazy.
I've said for years about the number of goals he gives away in a season from crosses, whether from set pieces or balls over the top.
14 Mar 2026 14:14:33
Souttar gets plenty of stick, mate. Not sure of many that actually rate him highly.
14 Mar 2026 14:57:32
Soutar, a squad player at best. Should have been Harry we signed.
14 Mar 2026 18:43:28
I have taken dogs abuse on here for calling out Souttar. He has always been terrible.
14 Mar 2026 18:45:50
Tsl, aye, Harry worth, lol.
14 Mar 2026 21:17:15
Souttar should be 1 of 4 ch we have, but not an automatic starter.
15 Mar 2026 10:45:16
Souttar has never got the credit he deserved and has been off it since his return from his last injury. Mph, that's only the club decision; they clearly felt he did. He wouldn't be in my team right now, but hopefully he returns to the player he is soon. Would be outstanding for Rangers to have John Souttar as a squad player.
15 Mar 2026 13:01:32
I've never been a fan of "big soapy", as some call him. He's never a Rangers CB. I wouldn't have him as a backup either. He's got a mistake in him every game!
15 Mar 2026 15:55:38
Also Angus Hanley is an international defender as well. He is still shocking. I really don't see what an international defender has to do with it. Bad players can get caps for their country.
13 Mar 2026 16:06:14
Ok guys simple question regarding 2 english legends 🤔Who was the better midfielder steven gerrard or frank lampard and who's the better manager between the two 🤔
13 Mar 2026 17:28:16
For me, Lampard was the better player.
Not sure there is much between them, manager-wise, other than an SPL title, and so Gerrard maybe gets the nod on that one.
13 Mar 2026 18:30:09
Lampard better player and definitely better manager imo.
13 Mar 2026 19:34:06
A young Stevie G was world class for me. Like a lot of Liverpool youth products, he was burnt out and never reached the same heights later in his career.
Lampard was an excellent goal scoring midfielder who mastered the timing of runs into the box, but overall not a great technical player for me.
He did also get better as he aged.
I can see the argument because of goals for Lampard, but SG all day, imo. No contest in management, definitely Lampard.
13 Mar 2026 22:02:17
Lampard to both.
13 Mar 2026 22:27:36
I'm absolutely shocked that anyone thinks Lampard was better than Gerrard.
I played as a midfielder, and I can assure yous Gerrard was a better player than Lampard. Gerrard could and did do it all on the park.
Lampard was simply a goal scoring midfielder.
I'm going to say it's a toss up so far as to who's the better manager. Time will tell.
{Ed078's Note - just look at the interviews with top players from SG's day. To a man they all say Stevie was the complete player. I've met him several times, bit of a Kn*b to be fair, but a top, top player.
13 Mar 2026 23:13:49
In terms of a player. Gerrard all day every day for me. Manager. 🤷🏻♂️
14 Mar 2026 01:01:47
Gerrard for me. I always think of it as if you put Gerrard into that Chelsea team, he could do what Lampard did in his position, but I couldn't see Lampard doing what Gerrard did. Same argument for Scholes.
14 Mar 2026 02:02:45
Lampard was nowhere near on the same level as Stevie G as a player. Lampard was a good goalscorer, but his overall play was nothing special.
Now, Stevie G had a good goal in him, but he was very versatile. Just look at that final comeback against AC Milan; he must have played about 3 different positions for the club that night.
As a manager, I'd say Lampard, as when he took over Chelsea and they were under the transfer ban he had them playing great stuff, but as soon as that was over they crumbled.
Stevie G only ever did well for us that one season.
14 Mar 2026 04:30:09
Lampard being better than Gerrard is very surprising.
14 Mar 2026 07:56:09
Gerrard, for me, is a much better player.
14 Mar 2026 09:21:49
Not much between both, but as players, I'd say Steven Gerrard.
As a manager, Frank Lampard is the 1 out of the 2 that is actively moving forward with his career.
I'm happy enough with Danny Rohl to stick with him into next season.
14 Mar 2026 14:52:12
Neither r anywhere near the ability of Paul Gascoigne.
14 Mar 2026 18:44:55
Lampard was better goalscorer, but better player, it's not even close. SG all day, every day. The most complete midfielder I have seen in a long time. Lampard better manager.
14 Mar 2026 21:18:21
SG the better player but FL the better manager atm.
13 Mar 2026 13:27:33
Here's an idea to stop the idiotic union bears. The club know exactly who is in the union bears through season tickets. How about tote up every single fine they cause the club then equally spread out that cost onto their season ticket prices.
Union bears are good for the club don't get me wrong but equally their bad for the club. Pretty much gaurentee if we were to put this into force they would stop their antics.
13 Mar 2026 14:54:10
Sorry Davie, I think their tenure in the Copland should be brought to an end, bud, but that's me.
13 Mar 2026 15:13:14
They just can't do anything the club asks. Ban the lot of them.
13 Mar 2026 15:59:51
They don't actually care about the club tho. Don't think half of them even watch the games.
13 Mar 2026 16:13:03
Question: how do UB always get tickets for away games? Genuine question, as I don't go to aways. Are they balloted?
I'd ban them from away games if it were an option.
13 Mar 2026 16:22:22
Davie, as much as I agree with the suggestion, I think the legality around the club being able to do it would cost much more than the total of the fines. Even if they had it as a clause, the ability to prove the offence to an acceptable level for every individual would be impossible.
Just my opinion, granted.
I see the ban as a much more workable one, as any business can prevent any person from entering for whatever reason they choose. In these circumstances, they could claim reasons such as engaging in disruptive, violent, or antisocial behavior.
13 Mar 2026 16:33:01
I'd rather we got rid of them. Why did we allow it when we were seeing the trouble that mob were having with their clowns at the time.
15 Mar 2026 10:29:56
For me, there are only 2 things I would change about the UB's.
Ban face coverings. Anyone hiding their face is doing it for nefarious reasons. Anyone wearing a face mask is immediately removed from the stadium. Even if it gets ugly.
Instantly, their behaviour will improve as they can easily be identified.
Secondly, if the club wishes to endorse them (which it does), then it should decide the songbook. If they deviate from those songs, they get a one match ban + the next Old Firm match.
For me, those 2 simple changes change the whole outlook regarding the UB's.
