Although posting this i'm sure we all knew this was going to happen ie.our former italian defensive midfielder rino gattuso has quit as manager of the italian national team, after their failure to reach the world cup for the last 3 times now 😲 What next for rino, i wonder πŸ€”

If we don't win league, sack Rohl, employ Gattuso for a couple of months, then get Gerrard!!

03 Apr 2026 15:59:58
Am I wrong in detecting sarcasm, John.

03 Apr 2026 21:08:35
Aphe, I was just about to say the same thing haha.

Don't want Gattuso as manager, not for me.

I'd love Stevie G back though if Danny doesn't make it work.

03 Apr 2026 23:14:58
Very perceptive, gentlemen

Stevie Danny is doing well.

04 Apr 2026 00:47:44
John, he certainly is, mate. I'm very happy with him. Not just as a manager, but in his press work he's a great talker and very likeable.

04 Apr 2026 12:07:24
Still in it and can win it, but if not, Rohl has made a right good fist of it given what he came into. I think we will really click today and give Dundee Hibs a hammering.

04 Apr 2026 18:40:40
Not for me. ☺️

I believe Danny should be given much more time if we don't get it over the line. To where we were, the 4 draws from six to now be sitting top, is something I thought was pretty unachievable given the state of the squad he was left.

Just my thoughts though. πŸ˜€

02 Apr 2026 15:51:41
Yet another Steven Gerrard My Rangers Regret interview. I take it trying to get himself back in the news again as the season ends. Its OK we get it. U jumped ship at the 1st Premiership opportunity u could and chased the money just like u did after Villa. Like u said pretty much from your early interviews when asked about your ambition and all u spoke about was getting the Liverpool job until the interviewer stopped and said he meant with Rangers. And complain about the lack of backing after having signed 50+ players and been given the say about whether to sell some to reinvest or keep the squad together despite our overspending at that time.

Then lead us a merry dance before letting us down again because not everything is "absolutely perfect" for u which basically means your not up to putting in the work to actually improve something yourself. Thank you for the great time you gave us but your time has gone. Regrets? No wonder,

02 Apr 2026 16:44:55
Absolutely fantastic post, Kaiser. I agree with every single word.

02 Apr 2026 16:48:40
Totally agree with everything that you said. He would have had the same team and backing like Danny did and were right in the title race. Am happy he turned us down.

02 Apr 2026 18:06:53
Good post, Kasier.

02 Apr 2026 18:49:57
Can't whack 10 in a row, Will will always be a great in my eyes, but no way back for him.

02 Apr 2026 19:46:36
Souness
Laudrup
Hutton
Even Barry
Gio
Reyna
Boumsong
Danny Wilson
Billy Gilmour
Jelavic
Tugay

All players who have left for England and are remembered affectionately by all fans.

All went to further themselves and secure financial success for families.

Not a word said about them. Even Reyna said Sunderland bigger club and still fans reminisce of him. Souness left with the title on a knife edge. And fans have wanted him back in various caption recent years.

Why the negative feelings towards Gerrard and none of the above I find it baffling.

He left us 5 points clear of Celtic I think with game in hand.

He wanted to stay but promises were broken regarding the investment in team.

He only spent money on 1 player in 3 windows and that was the mf who was a terrible signing. I can't mind his name South American from Coventry or something. Gustavo something.

He wanted Gyokeres, Haji Wright (sorry if I'm wrong), Veerman, probably the best of lot was Reijnders, he could've got them if he was backed with the money. Maybe not Veerman.
Gyokeres upfront and Reijnders I'm the 8/10 instead he got Gustavo whatever who played twice if he was lucky. And instead of Gyokeres he got Itten or Sadiq on loan.

02 Apr 2026 20:12:28
Stevie, that's because none of them snuck out the back door in the middle of the night like a rat.

02 Apr 2026 20:13:45
He couldn't have got any of them with money either, Veerman didn't want to come, and neither did the rest. Wright knocked us back. He didn't want to sell anyone, that was on him, not the board. Honestly it's crazy how some think SG could do no wrong.

02 Apr 2026 20:20:13
Souness did.

02 Apr 2026 20:22:25
Storm, fair doos. I always defend him, right. I'm just loyal to the core, mate. We shouldn't treat ex Rangers like some do Gerrard and even Beale, or players too like Chermiti this season, or whoever in past.

I know I defend him regardless, but u must admit he's given us the biggest highlight of our last 25 years' history, and he gets some disrespect regardless.

02 Apr 2026 21:56:16
StevieG, not meant as disrespect. Absolutely loved what he did and totally understand his ambition. It was the manner and timing of his leaving, followed by messing us about, along with the false narrative peddled that he was never backed, when much of the squad decisions were down to him, such as not selling in order to be able to reinvest in players.

He was backed by supporting his choices, and the result of the overspend under him was still felt by Clement seasons later. And now, every few months coming back out with same stuff to try and become relevant again.

02 Apr 2026 22:04:27
Kaiser, that's a fair response. Maybe u're right in saying he had final say on sales and refused to sell anyone to give us funds.

It's a very fair point u make, mate, and shows a bit of middle ground in the debate.

02 Apr 2026 22:10:03
Stevie G, that was the truth, mate, and well said.

02 Apr 2026 22:24:05
They were players Stevie not managers big difference mate.

02 Apr 2026 22:54:01
Cheers StevieG, especially coming from his biggest fan. 😜

02 Apr 2026 23:19:50
He was my absolute favourite player growing up, mate. I loved him, man. Then he came to us as manager, so I was ecstatic, bro.

However, he did make his own mistakes that he needs to own and not keep blaming others.

Think big problem was Dave King was his man, wasn't he?

When he left his position, Stevie wasn't as backed to the hilt as he was before and certainly was told he would be.

He's a legend. He did his job remit. And he kind of messed it up at the end.

03 Apr 2026 00:15:14
Stevie G is my favourite Rangers player ever and he only played less than a half for us against Liverpool. Same as Robbie Fowler and I believe Alan Smith maybe as well.

Anyone see the Newcastle lad? Excuse my ignorant spelling, he has Rangers current home too on last fortnight or so, as he is pals with, Christ, I can't remember who, it's one of our attackers.

Is it Moore or is it, no, it's Moore. Definitely he'd be a good right winger if we could persuade him.

03 Apr 2026 07:23:34
What manager doesn't want to be given more? You're right, though, he is still a legend. No idea about the Newcastle lad you're talking about?

03 Apr 2026 12:58:54
I loved Stevie G as a player, and I always respect him for bringing 55, but I don't respect him for how he left and trying to name others for leaving, i.e. the board, when it was him and him alone. He was backed, that is a myth saying he wasn't.

He knew what he had to do to bring in players, and said he wasn't selling anyone and jumped 1st chance he could.
Now he is regretting, that's only cause Villa and Saudi didn't work, just bs.

I will always be grateful for 55.

03 Apr 2026 13:28:35
Always loved Gerrard, always will. πŸ’™

02 Apr 2026 14:13:02
The Club is now on the hunt for a New Commercial officer.

02 Apr 2026 15:25:20
RB, perhaps?

02 Apr 2026 15:44:39
David French came with a good CV. Would be interesting to find out his reason for leaving, but usually these things have NDAs with them. Fingers crossed there's someone better on the way.

02 Apr 2026 15:54:12
Maybe just be to a better paid job.

02 Apr 2026 13:37:49
See reports of more youngsters getting interest from down south. Its so hard for us to keep good talent. Makes you wonder if its worth having an academy.

Agree0

02 Apr 2026 15:04:33
We don't give them a path, mate, that's why.

02 Apr 2026 15:17:20
Banx

Scaly left back 16, offers from Arsenal and Chelsea on table. We've also made an attractive offer to him with pathway to first team. He's undecided.

McGuire, the keeper, is apparently off to Arsenal for close to Β£2m.

02 Apr 2026 15:57:35
There is a very good article about academy football in England, which explains very well why Scotland lose so many to England.

Basically, non-Brits can't now sign until 18, if from UK can sign at 16, much easier than to be classed as English home grown.

Then sell to each other at highly inflated prices, which allows 100% profit for PSR.

02 Apr 2026 16:08:08
Structure of English football is far better than Scotland. Better structure for young players to succeed, and being offered better money, I can't blame them for going.

02 Apr 2026 16:13:21
I think the fact the players from abroad now count as homegrown if they go down there after turning 16, and do 2 years before 21, is why they are taking all out youngsters these days.

They're literally taking their pick of the players from all over Scotland nowadays.

If they get one good one every 20 players, they've made it worthwhile.

02 Apr 2026 16:18:03
Should look again at controlling a club down south, had opportunity before, a deal to feed players should be possible at least, even at national league level there are good clubs in good areas.

Somewhere at the seaside then we could for a wee break now and again.

02 Apr 2026 20:23:59
Bigger, I totally agree, mate, that's a great way forward, or even do it abroad, like say Croatia or a Scandinavian country with a lesser team. Great idea, mate.

03 Apr 2026 08:48:04
StevieG, yes buy up one of those wee Scandinavian teams. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

03 Apr 2026 12:14:24
Stevie, Poland or Slovakia or Morecombe and the like, the club did try to get involved down south a couple of times, Darlington and Bury, but both were in serious bother and too much to handle.

So many clubs on the edge down south and would benefit greatly from local and Scots Gers fans if they did some sort of deal with Rangers.

03 Apr 2026 12:20:32
Taking a club in another country does not allow a player to be home or associate trained.

Davie, in the main structure, is far better. It's down to money.

03 Apr 2026 12:57:50
If we had a B team type deal down south that club and ourselves would greatly benefit, I think a chat with clubs like Carlisle, plus a few others in the region might be worthwhile.

01 Apr 2026 15:58:48
This is a post for three cheers I think regarding Robbie. I relise he's a family member and I've replied couple of times regarding fraser coming back. Not once have I disrespected Robbie, on 1 reply I state I respect him. As for John stating I've slaughtered reply is absoloutly untrue it's all their in black and white on the banter page.

All the best to Robbie but I don't think it's what we need currently but hope Robbie does well in his career and maybe 1 day see him back. Hope you never took my comments in a bad way, I certainly wasn't disrespecting or slaughtering comments as John says. All go have a read.

Agree1

01 Apr 2026 16:54:09
Sorry Davy, slaughter probably the wrong word, but it's about cutting the cake to suit. We don't have 100 million to build a squad
So we have to be prudent.

01 Apr 2026 17:06:05
It's White Horse that you want to speak with, Davie, not me.

01 Apr 2026 16:12:50
Apologies Three Cheers, so this is for White Horse. And to John, not once did I slaughter somebody else's opinion. I even said, I think that's your opinion, and I respect that. So you say slaughter is the wrong word. What's the correct word then? As it's all there for every1 to read.

01 Apr 2026 17:26:16
John, just to note, I appreciate all the info you bring to this page. I get people have different opinions, and I get your previous reply regarding money. What I don't get is how you came to the conclusion of my replies. Re-reading them, I just don't see how possibly I could offend any1.

I've said my opinion. I've respected others' opinions, but you have clearly seen something you dislike. This isn't a dig or whatever, but I just can't see why you would be offended or whatever by my reply.

01 Apr 2026 17:39:25
Also to state seeing him once is enough to know he's not fit for Rangers. Wouldn't even say he's fit for any SPL team, but let's go sign him then fail to win. Championship at best is his current standard.

Davie, I know you have never intended to offend anyone, but that is the reply which I felt was maybe a little over the top and disrespectful when talking to that person's relative.

01 Apr 2026 18:43:12
That's why I posted to b respectful, though I did say Davie wasn't being disrespectful, mindful, due to Horsey's relative, would've been better wording. πŸ‘πŸ‘

01 Apr 2026 18:44:34
I felt the posts were slightly cheeky to White Horse, knowing you're referring to his family member.

I'd say, yes, it was over the top wording to make your point. Cheeky posts.

01 Apr 2026 19:57:32
To be honest, I don't see what the problem is, Davie thinks he is not good enough for Rangers, which is up to him. Rangers also have the same opinion as Davie, hence why Robbie is no longer at the club.
Would it be nice if he kicks on and we trigger the buy back clause? Yes, absolutely, just because Horsey is a relative, it makes no difference, as that's Davie's opinion and he's not being disrespectful, he is just being honest.

01 Apr 2026 20:12:27
Thanks, 3 Cheers, and apologies to any 1 that thought I was being disrespectful, but, again, re-reading my comments I really don't see how you come up with that motto. I wish Robbie all the best in his career and hope he kicks on, maybe, just maybe, he comes back 1 day, currently, as said, in my opinion it's not what's required.

As said prior. I don't realise how some can get offended by that, in my opinion, of course.

01 Apr 2026 20:17:45
Stevie G, you say it was over the top. Go pinpoint why you thought it was over the top. State word for word in my reply why you think it's over the top. Even after stating I said I respect Robbie and I respect another poster's opinions, but now it's over the top and I'm slaughtering people's reply.

Jessy peeps, it's all there in black and white, so go ahead, tell me how you came to that conclusion.

01 Apr 2026 21:39:05
Awk a can't be bothered with awe that Davie.

Too much hassle for nothing, mate. Let's move on.

02 Apr 2026 00:21:05
Davie, I will be honest. I did not like the tone of your post, but I am reading it as an attack on a family member.

If you said the same about any other Rangers supporting ex-player, I would not have batted an eye lid at it.

So I understand your post from the outside.

I would also like to say. Thank you for the support, troops, but it's not worth falling out over.

02 Apr 2026 07:16:06
Thanks for the reply, White Horse, 100% that's not how I intended it. I did say I respected Robbie and wish him all the best in his career. My apologies if you think like that, but definitely wasn't intended, and that's why I put this post up for you, even though I initially got the names wrong.

02 Apr 2026 09:02:17
White Horse - Handled it perfectly there, pal, great response, fair play to you.

02 Apr 2026 11:17:46
Horsey, you've known Davie for as long as I have on here, and should know he's not that type of poster to have digs at ppl, always respectful imo. I get it's probably hard to read, and I disagree with what he's saying, as every time I saw Robbie he looked more than capable, but knowing him as a poster, I truly believe he wasn't trying to offend anyone.

Good luck to Robbie. Would love to have him back.

02 Apr 2026 14:03:38
Thanks, Boy blue, 100% not trying to be disrespectful, and apologies if it came across that way to anyone that thought it does.

02 Apr 2026 14:36:26
The phrase "Making a mountain out of a mole hill" definitely works well with this thread.

02 Apr 2026 15:02:19
Cool, Davie, just being honest, mate.

02 Apr 2026 15:18:13
Always happens at international break, lads, cause the page is slow, bickering can start lol.

Could put the kettle on for it during breaks.

02 Apr 2026 15:59:35
Ffs, what's going on? The guy never said anything bad about the player. He is entitled to say his opinion whether he is good enough for our team or not. People telling me he has got better, I haven't seen him going on what I seen when he played for us.

Davie is 100% correct, imo. Should people lie just because he has a relative on here? I don't mean any disrespect at all, White Horse, as I think you are a great poster.

Davie has done nothing wrong.

02 Apr 2026 16:14:22
Storm is probably right. We've jumped the gun a bit with Davie. As I said, the site's slow and it happens anytime there is an international break.

01 Apr 2026 13:17:48
I think it was John on here the other day was speaking about how highly rate our young northern irish goalkeeper mason munn is and correctly so πŸ‘We also have hogarth and Wright πŸ€”I know our other young goalkeeper rydnn mcguire is very highly rated within Ibrox and remember reading there was a few english clubs very interested in signing himπŸ€”So it does look like we're well served in the future for talented goalkeepersπŸ‘ŒWe have Butland, Kelly, hogarth, Wright, mcguire πŸ‘I know John and EHL will know more about our young goalkeepers than me and wondering which young goalkeeper from the aforementioned is regarded the most talented and more likely to become the Rangers no.1 in the future πŸ€” We've always had good goalies at Rangers πŸ‘ŒπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

01 Apr 2026 14:41:09
I'd want to know why there was not one Rangers youth in Scotland Under 21s team v Portugal, even though we had Chermiti for Portugal. What is Murray Park doing? It was meant to provide us with youth, but things seem to have gotten worse on that front.

01 Apr 2026 16:44:50
Forever, who would you have picked for the under 21?

01 Apr 2026 18:25:37
John, My point is Murray Park is doing nothing for us in terms of youth, even with your bias against me, you must see that yourself?

01 Apr 2026 20:25:02
Have got to say, Forever, I don't think it's a Murray Park issue but more an SFA issue. The set up in Scotland is terrible. Any decent kid will go to England, better set up, more money and a better chance to succeed in football.

02 Apr 2026 05:10:31
Simple way to improve the situation is to force clubs to have a reserve team or if we decide u21/23 legal if they want to be in the top flight.

No entry to top flight without said team.

02 Apr 2026 07:45:13
It is a Murray Park issue though, although the authorities aren't helping it. Other clubs are managing to bring youth through. Celtic had 3 players in a recent squad, and Dundee United 2 amongst some.

So are they not being hampered by the same SFA as we are? So there may be issues with country set up, but something must be seriously wrong internally as well, as we aren't getting anyone into these squads.

02 Apr 2026 08:46:55
Forever, I totally disagree. Martin cleared out the over 20s players Ferguson wanted to develop eg McKinnon, Devine et al.

02 Apr 2026 08:47:49
Stevie, it's the clubs who need to vote it in.

02 Apr 2026 10:30:28
Sadly, John, they're never voting for that then mate.

02 Apr 2026 13:18:25
Murray Park?

31 Mar 2026 19:20:48
Big Fernandez scoring for nigeria.
