I'm backing the manager in Tavgate and I think he will come out of this experience as a stronger man and a better manager/coach. I wanted rid of serial Tav 3 years ago, he stayed because probably no one wanted him and he would never had got the money we gave him. Apart from EHL or John on here, probably nobody would know Tav personally but my take on him is someone who thinks he's untouchable and has enjoyed the prestige of being a Rangers captain for 10 years without delivering any tangible success.
Strolling over to take every corner, free kick and now throw in sticks in my craw and reeks of entitlement. I'll be glad to see the back of him and the so called leadership group. Here's to a new and fresh start with hungry players desperate to play for the club without thinking they are big time Charlie's.

Tavs priority was Tav. Remember, we paid him extremely well, he deserved that and was a good servant
He has tarnished the legacy for me.
15 May 2026 21:06:40
100% agree with both of you. The way he has acted last few days shows what kind of guy he is and a disgrace of a captain.
15 May 2026 21:18:45
I'm just glad I don't have to hear his bull line "we will learn from this" again.
15 May 2026 21:48:10
In the years to come, Tav will be outed by a lot of ex players as the man who split many dressing rooms and led revolts against managers.
16 May 2026 08:25:32
100% John. Tav was all about himself. But I go back to the culture we allowed to be created while he was here. I still get embarrassed thinking about the end of season party for Kent and Co after another failure, funnily enough also against Hibs.
Results didn't matter to them. So he just expected the same. A great player at time, but a poor captain, and so glad he's gone.
16 May 2026 09:26:01
Well said John. James Tavernier leaves Rangers a multi millionaire for his struggles.
15 May 2026 17:52:15
Blue Floyd all I can say is, and I don't mean to upset Tav fans, but he has been the worst Rangers captain I have ever seen. All his goals and assists don't do it for me. That was all "Tav" his stats as a defender and captain fall way short and i'm so happy to see the back of him.

Do the rest of the players not count or does this solely fall on Tav's shoulders. Jeezy peeps some posters.
15 May 2026 17:19:45
Am I the only one sick of hearing about this whole Tav debacle already?
I honestly couldn't care less who said what, who promised what. I care about our results on the pitch and the players who are on it. Those are what concern me more.
Thanks for the goals, the assists over the years but we move on!
New captain needs signing in the summer.

I agree with that. Tav has been rotten for at least 2 years.
15 May 2026 18:04:44
Aye, 100% Storm.
Did you see wee Mikey's damning presser?
A young lad like him talking about standards and mentality and basically the lack of them.
15 May 2026 18:33:54
Totally agree, bbj. Fed up with Tav gate, let's move on and try to win a game.
Mikey Moore came across really well, and I, for one, would love to see him at Ibrox next season.
A new captain (not JB) is a must - we need leaders on the park.
15 May 2026 19:04:45
Big blue Moore sounded like how a captain should sound.
15 May 2026 20:37:52
Yes, exactly, John, you could hear what it meant to the lad playing here. I know every player should try and raise the standards of their teammates, but the captain sets those standards, and it's clear as day that hasn't been happening.
15 May 2026 16:55:34
Watched Mikey Moores interview. Spoke well for such a young man. He kept saying we need to do this going forward and we need to drive on from pre season etc etc. Am I looking too much into it or is he going to be here next season with referencing we a lot?

15 May 2026 18:03:33
Looking too much into it. OT, he also stated that he was going back to Spurs to see the new manager and see where he fits in his plans. Think the we comment is just because he is used to referring to that throughout the season.
Honestly, think he made much more damning comments about the state of our club and about "standards" being set.
15 May 2026 21:45:18
Orange t, maybe saying "we" cause he is still here, mate, maybe.
15 May 2026 21:57:32
He also said that he would miss fans coming up to him in the street, even if it was only for a few months. I could be looking too much into it. We will just need to wait and see.
15 May 2026 15:55:51
Rangers football needs an old school manager to bring back the proper feeling of the club. Project managers, project players are no use. It's ok having a couple of project players each year.

15 May 2026 16:30:36
Agreed - Who do you suggest, Orange T?
It would be Derek McInnes for me.
15 May 2026 12:12:07
Hi everyone
A disappointing end to the season. Big summer ahead and recruitment has to be spot on this time. Cavanagh may or may not pull the plug on Rohl who knows. If it were me I hope he does and if Hearts don't win the league we go get Derek McInnes. I am curious to know what players everyone would keep from the current Rangers team. For me I would keep Fernandez, Rommens, Barron and Chermiti. Get young Curtis back from Killie and play him on the right which leaves GK, RB, CB, 2 midfielders and a Left Winger to be recruited. What's everyone else thoughts on recruitment?

Four lads report on here. We have already signed 4. 2 OOC and 2 fees agreed. 1 supposobly a German goalkeeper.
15 May 2026 14:50:20
Cheers, Davie. Any names, mate?
15 May 2026 14:51:16
I wouldn't keep Fernandez. Too lazy, walking back to his box, even when running back, with legs his size, no one should be able to catch him, but he just canters rather than going full pelt. He isn't as good as he thinks he is.
Rommens, Barron, Curtis, Cameron, Chermiti. Sorry, but that's about all I have faith in.
Problem is, if we replace even 6 of our players at one time and expect them to have settled and gelled with each other immediately, then we are in for a hell of a time.
Personally, I hope Hearts are strong next year, as this 2 horse race leaves no room for error.
15 May 2026 16:26:23
Gees Fernandez definitely has aspects of his game to work on. Defensively, he is prone to the odd mistake, but offensively the threat he offers from corners and set pieces is fantastic to have in our team.
I can really see him improving, playing beside an older, more experienced centre half, and having a gk in behind that is comfortable playing out with the ball at his feet.
15 May 2026 17:34:58
Manny is vastly overrated by our fans, nowhere near as good as some think, but he can improve.
15 May 2026 18:05:55
Imho, he must get rid of:
Butland
Tav, already gone obviously
Raskin
Dio
And anyone who is close to these players.
Find out who wants to play for Rangers under Danny Rohl and not part of a gang culture, that's always fatal for a manager if he allows it to grow
Rohl had no choice in that because it was already deeply embedded in the club, Tavernier recent display is nothing short of humiliating, he brought embarrassment to the club because that was his way of " getting Rohl back"
I would not have allowed him back in if he had stormed out the door, I believe John Greig may have called him and encouraged him back, he acted like a baby, he knew the stink this would cause, he had been dropped from team plenty times, mainly because he is awful, he tried to make a serious game against one of our more robust opponents into the Tavernier show game, a game where he and his family had centre stage and the actual match didn't matter, it wasn't a show game, it was a league match and final game at Ibrox, the obvious thing was either he brought his family into the pitch before the game and took his place on the bench, or he came on the pitch at halftime to say cheerio
His statement is all about turning Rangers fans into his people, Rohl's the gaffer, he decides and he obviously gave Tav options.
15 May 2026 21:49:51
Tom, a very good post, pal, well put together.
15 May 2026 22:39:35
Agree with all you say, TT. I cannot wait until we don't need to discuss him at all next season.
15 May 2026 10:19:02
I put a post up about Danny Rohl is too nice and doubt he shouts and screams in the dressing room. Providing Rohl still here next season, I think Alex are would be a good assistant. I would very much think he would lose it if things are going wrong and let the players know about it.

I'm sure Ehl said he's "no shrinking violet" a while back, not 100% though.
15 May 2026 11:43:27
Correct, Fork.
15 May 2026 14:44:39
I'm presuming then, Ehl. Danny does have a go, if so, that's more disappointing, as clearly the players ain't responding. My assumption is only going by his interviews.
Oh I believe Rohl has a tough streak in him. Just don't think he likes throwing players under the bus like Rm did and prefers to do it in private.
