Heart on hand twitter account reporting Sports Direct will be official partner to Castore for selling the new kit.
Surely this can’t be correct. Has anyone heard anything? I checked on the internet but couldn’t see anything but don’t have any social media accounts.

Yep sports direct fb have put up a massive post. Leaving the club and the fans with a massive red face. Talk of ashley links to castore weeks ago. Another shambles by rangers. 1 thing after another if we are still connected to SD and could be a massive blunder commercially.

We can choose not to buy at SD
Ashley has no influence over the club
I won't go into a SD shop but if the club profits from the shirt sales that they can move, that can only be good.

Castore make merchandise like it or not Castore don't have enough retail stores SD may have a deal with them but that's it but it may not just be them that Castore deal with.

Sorry I don’t agree with most of you. I dislike Ashley and the way he operates as much as you. However, Rangers have an agreement with Castore which gives us a good deal probably dependant on the number of shirts sold. This has nothing to do with Ashley. Castore will sell using online means and other retail businesses . If SD is one of those then SD will have to agree a deal with Castore. This deal will suit Castore or they will not do business. Therefore Rangers are in control and still make the same premium and SD a fraction of what they used to from selling our shirts. For me it is a win-win.

Here we go no it is not. Trade law very clear we cannot refuse him to retail merchandise or he would get an injunction.
Simply buy direct from Castore or megastore. Also small independent shops.

I think Castore could not exclude SD from selling kit but no need for an exclusive deal to sell it. It might be tied us with other Castore products ie SD won't sell any Castore stuff if SD can't sell RFC kit.
Maybe this is why Ashley went quickly in the end.

I will tell you what is exclusive . I can exclusively reveal that if sports direct are left with any stock of ours, unlike before they cannot make our club buy it from them at retail prices . and some of you guys are trying to tell us that is not an improvement . They say they have exclusive rights but we have just sold 50k of which they won’t see a dime 🤪.

Aye I get the point, ashley has shafted us for the best part of a decade. Should have made sure when getting a new kit supplier, that sd got no access to our kits. Unacceptable that he makes one single penny from us. Lots of short memories on here 👍.

Castore have made a deal way sports direct to sell the strips. Nothing to do with the Rangers-Castore deal every strip sold rangers are benefiting.
