I have just heard a medical scheduled for last Wednesday was cancelled either Hutton, McGregor or both
Source very close to one of the players involved.

1.) 12 May 2018 11:52:34
Heard of who?

2.) 12 may 2018 13:35:09
100% mcgregor

3.) 12 May 2018 13:36:54
So he's close to one of them but doesn't know who's medical it is but decides to tell u anyway?

4.) 12 May 2018 15:22:18
He’s talking rubbish. It could only be Shagger, Hutton was with Villa for the Millwall game the following day.

5.) 12 May 2018 15:48:30
Frustrated blue I was thinking the exact same

6.) 12 May 2018 18:30:31
A heard mcgregor has recieved his letter whatever that is for for his move to rangers someone who is friends with him and his agent think greggs is a done deal

7.) 13 May 2018 09:39:50
frustrated Blue and others he obviously felt he had said enough and wasn't inclined to tell me more -doesn't mean he doesn't know.

25 Mar 2017 10:10:06
This is a serious question:

Ferguson, Brown and Rae; i have nothing to recommend them for coaching roles and the majority of posts here seem to think being an ex-Rangers man is not real recommendation. What role would any of these three guys fill that would justify a big wage?

I know they are leaders but I would rather see a modern leader emerge.

1.) 25 Mar 2017 11:51:32
Barry Ferguson was a tremendous footballer, was an inspirational leader and has Rangers at heart.

So, if he can help improve players by passing on advise and techniques that improved him as a player, get the respect of the squad like he did from his teammates when he was a player and has the best interests of our club at heart then there's no better candidate IMO.

2.) 25 Mar 2017 13:11:06
Barry has the potential to be that. The others don't for me.

3.) 25 Mar 2017 13:15:33
They won't be on a big wage so don't get yourself worried about that.

The manager wants him so that should be enough. He obviously sees a role there.

4.) 25 Mar 2017 16:00:53
we need to remember that brown was in charge of pretty succesful youth team at rangers its also been proved he has an eye for a player as it was him who scouted carlos cuellar i would put him top of my list if that's the rd we are going down

5.) 25 Mar 2017 17:35:09
I didn't think the role for a local guy was so much about coaching as a link with the players and knowledge of the league.

Pedro has his own coaching team so it is more about integration than coaching skills.

6.) 25 Mar 2017 18:15:09
I would never in my life slag or dismiss any of these guys who are pure Rangers men and had the privilege to play for the team that they and we love 💙

7.) 25 Mar 2017 19:02:32
Cuellar was spotted when we played against him in the eufa cup the season Walter smith came back.

8.) 25 Mar 2017 20:28:26
they still sent brown to scout him its a well known fact

9.) 26 Mar 2017 13:01:35
Colshygers is spot on! John bomber brown did scout carlos cuellar and after he first came to rangers attention, bomber continually watched and advised our club to sign him!

10.) 26 Mar 2017 13:02:05
Bears. I think the appointment of Brown Rae or Ferguson will be fantastic! WHO tho would be the best option? For me I would have Brown with Rae a very close 2nd. I really like Ferguson but think the others have more experience AND both would command instant respect and would be good at being able to put an arm around a players shoulder when needed, but also would be able to let a player know when they need to pull their finger out and recognise who they are playing for!

For me I think Fergie is still too young and players may not look or listen ti him in the same way. BUT I would not be disappointed if he did get it, I think Rae will get it due to his past roles but I love Brown and if he doesn't get it. I would like to see him at Ibrox in some capacity I think Brown could get an extra few percent from the players from just being around them.

11.) 26 Mar 2017 15:54:25
Are you trying to tell us Alex Rae (uncapped, played 34 games for Rangers, won one league title) would command more respect in the dressing room than Barry Ferguson (45 caps, almost 300 games for Rangers, multiple honours, MBE)?

12.) 27 Mar 2017 16:05:29
John Brown is an embarrassment and shouldn't even be allowed in ibrox. Let him stand on the stairs.

{Ed033's Note - and let him eat cake 😋

13 Mar 2017 10:36:35
Is Pedro, Pedro's pal or his agent?
I did not see mention of this connection in any of the Scottish papers or radio in the weeks leading up to his appointment. Wouldn't a decent journalist not have found this out and had a guess at who the new manager might be?

1.) 13 Mar 2017 11:13:36
Pedro Mendes is his agent apparently.

2.) 13 Mar 2017 13:07:49
Deeb this is a positive thing having mendes as his agent so no scottish paper would have published this only thing they want is negative stories about our club and manager

3.) 13 Mar 2017 14:40:44
That would have actually taken some effort and decent investigative journalism. Not the usual sensationalist lazy crap we have in our rags!

28 Jun 2016 13:10:17
Who is the NI star we are after? According to the DR.
Cant see a name.

1.) 28 Jun 2016 15:20:59
Lee Hodson apparently.

18 May 2016 15:54:06
Been told by a non football fan involved marketing business that Underarmour are waiting in the wings and likely to be offering some advice re contracts.
Any one heard similar?

1.) 18 May 2016 17:43:38
no, but if true, would be amazing.

2.) 18 May 2016 18:36:50
does terminating the contracts mean that the puma deal is also terminated? therefore those new kits will not be next seasons?

3.) 18 May 2016 18:58:56
Underarmour would be perfect. Good quality sportswear and a quality Sports Goods Company. Could be some truth in this. They are the suppliers of Spurs' kits and we appear to be developing a really strong relationship with the North London Clubs.

4.) 18 May 2016 20:32:42
The Puma deal will carry on as we are not in dispute with them. If and when the Puma deal finishes Rangers will have a few people at the door offering us a great deal, of that l am sure.

5.) 18 May 2016 20:38:23
I believe any sports direct deal has nothing to do with Puma so will carry on as normal, but been told we only have a year left to run with them and Red 32
Anyone else clarify this?

6.) 19 May 2016 00:21:37
Deeb i was just reading about our club refusing to wear the new strip on cup duty at the weekend, king must know if ashley tries to alter things now he is admiting his involvment in dual ownership, and that's not allowed, mr king has obviously waited until the right time to pull this stunt, let's wait and see ashleys next move in this game of chess.

7.) 19 May 2016 10:40:34
The SD Puma deal can still be linked as it was the same people inside Rangers that signed both. Termination was going to happen even before Newcastle got relegated but I agree it has probably moved things along faster. It depends on what grounds Rangers wish to follow when/ if terminating the deal. It's likely that some kind of pay off agreement would be reached to avoid court action and as Puma are bound to be disappointed by how little money the deal with Rangers has made them, they would be unlikely to be difficult to work with.

Anyone see the BBC Scotland report last night?
Is it me or are they getting worse with their religious / football / anti Rangers / pro Celtic bias?

14 Aug 2019 11:27:30

Lhennon has been made Brexit minister, Boris reckons he can get out of Europe quicker than he can.

1.) 14 Aug 2019 12:22:41
This doesn't really work seeing as how they are into the next qualifying round of the europa league. Which is one step further in than we are at the moment.

12 Jun 2019 08:59:14
Not a rumour but I was well impressed with the Finnish left back last night. Know nothing about him, couldn't hear pub TV;
he may cost millions or be 40 years old everyone else may know him but he had a good game last night.

1.) 12 Jun 2019 11:13:46
Jere Uronen, and plays for Genk. 24 I think and out of our league currently.
yep a very decent lb.

2.) 12 Jun 2019 13:00:56
wouldn't say any Genk player would be out our league. In fact, if he got a move to us he would get recognized quicker by big clubs rather than Genk. Plus the fact, we are a massive club compared to Genk.

3.) 12 Jun 2019 18:12:17
origi benteke de bruyne castagne and courtouis all came through at Genk

they are a club who develop and produce some cracking players

they would not get recognised quicker at us simply because with this quality of player coming through their ranks they are already very well scouted.

4.) 13 Jun 2019 01:05:50
The Belgium league is a lot stronger than the spl! We are a bigger club than most clubs in the English premier league we stil couldnt compete with any of them financially!

21 Apr 2019 10:51:00
Does Souttar sill feature as high on the shopping list after yesterday?
Positioning was not great a few times.

16 Apr 2019 12:57:01
If story true about Kilmarnock cutting allocation, why not boycott?

1.) 16 Apr 2019 14:06:02
have they been cutting their own allocation for years too? 🤔 always lots of empty space in their own end.

2.) 16 Apr 2019 14:36:56
there's no chance they would even fill 3 stands. 1 for them would be plenty. If we have sealed 2nd by then (which we should have) then yea i agree.

3.) 16 Apr 2019 14:44:00
Boycott why? If they want to lose revenue like Hibs did last year let them!

4.) 16 Apr 2019 17:00:14
If that's what they give us its all I would take going forward. No doubt will want to put it back up next season when the 32 regulars turn up for them 🙈.

5.) 16 Apr 2019 18:21:37
If second place secured then boycott
Hit them where it hurts.

tav has never been more then an average player, without candeias he is below average. over hitting crosses and free kicks, not getting back and roaming inside and leaving wingers too much space.
he has never been any better.

I was sitting next to probably the same guys who said Leicester were after Alfie.
They were mystified about Celthic not wanting us to win and vice versa so I don't think they had a huge knowledge about the Famous but were impressed at the crowd.

We should have offered SD the same deal as Hummel, yes?
If we had done that we would have had 2 identical deals to consider. If so could we not have still taken Hummel over SD?
I have not seen it written that we had to sell to SD if they matched the deal, so we could have picked Hummel for non business reasons?

Totally agree
Tav has never been any different. Candeias covered for him always and now his lack of football ability stands out. It is made worse by having Goldston beside him, neither one can read a game and when they are against a decent side ie Celtic or most European sides it sticks out lick a sore thumb.

Agree Baz he seldom gets above the ball and last night when he did he missed it completely. He and Tav's normal game not good enough and I am not sure what Ojo is supposed to be doing but he never seems to do anything.
