Am I right in thinking if we avoid defeat on Thursday we’ll set a new record for a Scottish team going unbeaten in Europe?!

1.) 24 Oct 2018 06:38:11
Aw naw 🙈 🤐.

2.) 24 Oct 2018 08:06:25
we'll break our own record of 10 games.

3.) 24 Oct 2018 12:04:01
You’ve just jinxed us ya goat 😂.

4.) 24 Oct 2018 15:20:02
Saw this online. It's not quite there. 12 games is the record achieved between 1991 and 1994. But it's close.

5.) 24 Oct 2018 23:33:17
@87H - I sure we beat the current Rangers record. Not sure about the unwashed, though going by their recent humpings in European football at the piggery it can’t be many games!

29 Aug 2018 17:43:35
Was talking to a contractor in work today, he was saying his son play about of football and is pally with a few of Rangers young lads.
His boy apparently said to him that when Gerrard got he job at Rangers, SG, GMc and MB sat and watched every minute of every Rangers game from last season!
Whether or not the boys was talking mince I'll never know but his point was a good one.

Does anyone else think this could be true? If so what a fantastic way to get some information regarding the squad!

1.) 29 Aug 2018 18:22:43
87 if they did not watch, they would not be doing job.

2.) 29 Aug 2018 18:26:08
If they sat and watched all that in such a short space of time there’s a fair chance all 3 of them would have tumours the size of melons in their brain! The old firm games alone made me lose my hair and turned my pubes grey!

3.) 29 Aug 2018 18:36:15
Stuart, u r right, sure it helped the clear out, I can't think of any player who left I'd keep except Docherty.

4.) 29 Aug 2018 18:52:31
Stuarty 😂

Jboy I agree maybe only Docherty I’d have kept, still though that’s a lot of games to watch considering how up and down we we’re last year!

5.) 29 Aug 2018 19:04:22
Christ. I hope some games were x 30.

6.) 29 Aug 2018 19:57:25
You could use footage of some games from last year to break a prisoner into a confession👍. I do think that they would have watched games from last year, probably not all tho. All part of their assessment, hence why the majority were shown the door👍.

7.) 29 Aug 2018 21:10:10
Stuarty delighted to know it wasnt only my pubes that turned grey 😂.

8.) 29 Aug 2018 22:04:56
Every minute of every played last season! lol no chance. every game from initial discussion and approaches yes, with selected highlights of prior game most probably.

9.) 29 Aug 2018 23:05:19
Roughly 63 hours of football to watch. What a job just sitting watching footy all day, getting a laugh and through in a few drills in training and good verbal communication for a good few grand a week. Geez a job I can do that.

10.) 29 Aug 2018 23:46:12
I’d think they maybe watch most of the games from when Murty took over (doubt they would learn anything about the players when Pedro was in charge) might have helped with the clearout of the duds and who they can help going forward! But you have to remember at we've signed atm 12 players and are basically a brand new team- so if they did watch back it was to see what they seriously needed to change.

11.) 29 Aug 2018 23:49:22
My hair went white! 😂😂😂.

12.) 30 Aug 2018 11:10:02
Holt and Docherty for me Holt would be good cover for Ejaria Docherty good cover for Coulibaly.

13.) 30 Aug 2018 14:00:54
i agree on holt think the boy was under rated he was the only player who understood pass and move. while rest passed and stood still. docherty is ok but prob does require more game time and wouldn't progress as player at rangers.

16 Dec 2018 19:48:54
Everywhere I read I see about how Rangers last 3 games have bottled it etc
Ehmmmm Celtic last 3 games exactly the same, 1 win, 1 draw and 1 defeat.

I assume that means Celtic have also bottled it or is it just the usual ex Celtic pundits doing there usual and getting their bit in.

1.) 16 Dec 2018 20:24:33
I don't think we have botteled it, we just haven't approved or capitalised. 2 of our loan players have returned. Gerrard has only been given 5,5million so far. Gerrard is doing well with a relatively small budget. Will be interesting if King supports him.

2.) 16 Dec 2018 21:36:55
He has been given more than that Goldson and Katic alone come to that amount then there is Grezda 2.5m and barasic the same we have spent around the £10million mark so far.

3.) 16 Dec 2018 22:20:56
Think they mean net spend mate when you take into account money raised from players leaving like Windass.

15 Dec 2018 10:09:16
Can anyone shed light on Dorrans? Could he be the creative spark we’re looking for?

1.) 15 Dec 2018 11:01:15
Dorrans is still injured and he most definitely would have been the creative spark if played at no10. Jamie Murphy is also a massive miss creativity and goals wise coming in from the left.

2.) 15 Dec 2018 12:20:34
Murphy is a big loss, was just looking through our squad and forgot we had signed Dorrans! When is he due back?

12 Dec 2018 14:59:00
Reading the Lee Griffiths is taking time away from football to deal with “ongoing issues”.
I know he’s been a prat sometimes and a thorn in our side but still don’t want to see the lad in trouble or harm.
I’m sure I echo a lot of football fans when I say health comes first and I hope he receive whatever help he needs.

1.) 12 Dec 2018 15:17:38
Agreed shenderson. Can’t stand the site of him but I wish him no harm. If he is suffering from mental health issues etc then I wish him all the best in his road to recovery.

2.) 12 Dec 2018 15:38:11
gambling issues.

3.) 12 Dec 2018 15:44:49
Yip totally agree. Its that thing of when they put on there strip we hate them but in all honestly if i met him in a pub i would happily stand and chat. don't wish harm on anyone. Hope he gets the help he needs for whatever it is.

4.) 12 Dec 2018 16:31:49
Please explain sometimes.

5.) 12 Dec 2018 17:10:47
Hmm I'm not so sure . Gazza? It's ok for one but not another?

6.) 12 Dec 2018 17:30:36
I've never been one to sconse at anyone who has mental health issues or whatever personal problems! No time for leigh griffiths, when he's playing in a celtic jersey against us, but i absolutely wish the guy no harm! I hope he can beat his demons, i truly do and wish him all the best in his rehabilitation! that's when football comes 2nd in these situations!

7.) 12 Dec 2018 17:49:43
My mistake 72. He is a prat end of! I still hope he gets through whatever it is he is dealing with.

8.) 12 Dec 2018 18:08:50
I'm sure all of the rangers family will hope that Lee G get threw all of his personal issues and comes out the other side in good health physically and mentally.

9.) 12 Dec 2018 18:27:12
Gambling issues not mental health. Guy at my work is a celtic shareholder and says this has came to a head as he's been begging money off team mates (thousands at a time) in the dressing rooms. Can't stand him he's an absolute bell end and if he's taking months out then his career at celtic will be as good as done. still hope he soldiers through tho, another case of a footballer with too much time and too much money turning to gambling. far too much money in football nowadays.

10.) 12 Dec 2018 19:07:39
Gambling addiction is a serious problem and can seriously affect your mental health. Can’t stand the lad in all fairness but I’d gladly support him and take him to a ga meeting.

11.) 12 Dec 2018 19:38:24
Spot on Henderson he’s a prat full stop. I’ve as much sympathy as Scottish football had for gazza.

12.) 12 Dec 2018 19:53:46
sorry guys i can’t agree

gambling addiction is a mental health issue. sorry I know folk who are the former and i’ve worked with folk who suffer from the latter and for me they certainly are not 1 and the same

just my personal opinion

i also wld not stand with griffiths in a pub under any circumstances as the depth of hatred he and his fellow players and fans have for us is sickening

of course it was a completely diff story when barton was villified by the press front and back pages and he was chased out of scotland with majority of folk wanting the lad crucified for having a gambling problem until he got a long ban

yet griffiths get sympathy and support from all quarters

some folk have a short memory.

13.) 12 Dec 2018 20:15:54
Think things have maybe come to an end for the the thumb after his latest ridiculous comments about the Gers. Don’t wish him any health issues but the guy is a real bell end and hopefully will get help as he definitely needs it🇬🇧.

14.) 12 Dec 2018 20:48:31
When another human being is in need of help then there is no time to debate whether he deserves it or not, it is in times like these that the colour of his team or the foolishness that he has commited must be put to one side and help must be given. I really hope this help is given and he makes a full recovery from whatever it is and that he is given the time and space with his family to do so.
I know that I am not alone in wishing him well and know that every football supporter regardless of their team wish him a quick and full recovery.

15.) 12 Dec 2018 22:15:52
Trev no 7. Have you ever suffered from either?

16.) 12 Dec 2018 22:18:30
I don't think everyone here is being completely honest, I hate him passionately, I literally couldn't care less about him. I will add that I don't think that about every celtic player, in fact there are very few celtic players that have really got up my nose but I have no time for him what so ever, mental health and gambling addiction didn't make home say or do the things he does, just being brutally honest.

17.) 12 Dec 2018 22:50:09
Wiping his nose on our flag . flying tri colour at ibrox tying scarfs to goals . goading fans for a fight? Well I’m scared to comment.

18.) 12 Dec 2018 23:33:39
Nice too see so many messages of support on here. Huge credit to Stevie G as well for his comments. We all know we’ll be shouting all sorts of abuse at each other on 29th but at the end of the day, it’s only a game. Rivals not enemies.

19.) 13 Dec 2018 01:13:39
Everyone feeling sorry for Grffiths did you ever see him play snooker?

20.) 13 Dec 2018 07:23:30
no i haven't james thankfully but i’ve worked with folk on a professional level who have so am entitled to my opinion

they are not the same, trust me

ask yourself this, what was the depth of sympathy and support for ian black and joey barton when their gambling problems came out

were media, authorities and other fans falling over themselves with empathy and understanding for their ‘mental health’ issues?

21.) 13 Dec 2018 08:33:33
Gambling leads to mental health issues. My son lost over £50,000 gambling online playing poker and now has nothing and suffers from psychosis and paranoia and is quite unwell. He is now 50 years old and the future doesn't look good for him so I hope that Griffiths does sort himself out and he is still young enough to bounce back. At the end of the day, football is only a game and my son is a Dundee United supporter! On a cheerier note, come on the lads tonight. Let's get a win and set ourselves up for the rest of the month.

22.) 13 Dec 2018 08:53:11
you see this is the differnce between us and them.

we wish one of them all the best in dealing with his issues, where they take shots and villinize our ex players with issues

i don't like the kid and yes he is a complete tool but hope he sorts it out as he has young family etc and they didn't ask for their father to have issues.

23.) 13 Dec 2018 11:04:26
Trev no7. Well lucky you mate. Also I have never said they are the same but being someone who is a compulsive gambler (nearly 4 years gambling free) I know that it does seriously affect not only your mental health but all aspects of your personal well being.

24.) 13 Dec 2018 11:48:23
Irrespective what's allegedly wrong with Griffiths at moment sheer conjecture. Could be piles for all we know. I don't like him like all of us. He's a little ****. Rodgers doesn't help issue masking issue calling problem 'ongoing issues'. But if gambling as mentioned it's self inflicted. Would have been better if Rodgers itemised problem and help being given. Might help others.

25.) 13 Dec 2018 17:32:47
He has the full house of drink and drug issues along with a gambling addiction. This has caused him some financial issues as well. Still a bag👍.

26.) 13 Dec 2018 18:02:28
Not gambling issue. I wish him good health.

27.) 13 Dec 2018 18:06:39
I have absolutely no sympathy for a man who can stand inside ibrox and wipe his nose on our crested corner flags.

28.) 13 Dec 2018 18:11:16
Have we gone soft in the head, LG dislikes Rangers and Rangers fans with a passion. Now we are all feeling sorry for the wee poor lad Sorry but I could not give a Monkeys about LG.

09 Dec 2018 08:12:44
Ryan Hardie In amongst the goals yesterday, I really really want him to succeed a Rangers. He’s been unlucky with injuries but hopefully push on now. If he can prove himself at Livi this year there maybe a place for him in the first team next year.

1.) 09 Dec 2018 10:28:07
I'm not happy with Lafferty as our no.2 choice striker. Never really rated him. Before, he was playing in a much more successful team. Don't start me off about Hardie again! If these youngsters aren't given a chance then how can they ever break through? If Morelos leaves in January or is injured where will the goals come from? Anyway, I'm going for a 2-0 win today though with Dundee winning well last week they might be up for this.

2.) 09 Dec 2018 11:20:44
i agree with one part of your statement Doiger, wish people wouldn't get you started on Hardie 😉.

3.) 09 Dec 2018 15:13:52
Hopefully Hardie and Dodoo are both being evaluated and at end of the season are either sold or given a proper opportunity for the striker positions. When fit and on form believe both have more to offer than Lafferty.

28 Oct 2018 15:44:52
I don’t think he’s a cheat, however I do think he is an extremely incompetent referee!

The guy see things no one else does and misses what we all see!
I didn’t watch the game but I did see the first minute where McLean was booked for going for header.
I don’t know what’s worse, him getting booked for absolutely nothing, or the Celtic player rolling about holding his face!

I think the issue most of us have with Tav is simple. He isn’t great at defending, but not good enough going forward. He’s stck between a rock and a hard place.

Why is this seen a good thing?! We should be bringing back Docherty, not going for a 34 year old midfielder who hasn’t kicked a ball all season!

Fantastic servant for us previously, one of the greats of the club, but not the answer!

Read my post Gannet instead of trying to trip me up!

I said the captain should be in the middle of the park (here Jack is) or the GK which I’m well aware McGregor plays!

Sorry Coop but for me a captain is massive! I agree we need 11 players pulling together but if one steps out of line a strong personality should be there to put things straight!

Greig, Butcher, Gough, Amo, Ferguson, Davis, Jig. you think any of these boys would tolerate Morelos acting like he did?!
For the record I really like Tavernier, he’s a fantastic asset to our club, I just struggle to see how he can influence a game, take it by the scruff of the neck and pull us out a hole!

Good post Coop,

Hard to think of players like for like. No doubt everyone will have different opinions.

Worrell, the big Greek lad
Coulibally, Davis
Ejaria, Docherty
Kent, Shankland

I’ve been particularly vocal in saying Davis is not the answer, however I can understand why we would take him.
Get those 4 and a quality number 10 ( someone of the Rogic mould)

Davis time has been and gone! He was a fantastic servant for our club but now he’s a 34 year midfielder who hasn’t kicked a ball all season.
Let’s enjoy the memories we have of Davis, I’m afraid he is past it.
