Chuffed with cummings signing and shows DOF / Murty taking bthe club in the right direction . No real chance of league however loan deals will see who is up for next season make and still a Scottish cup to play for .

1.) 16 Jan 2018 10:11:18
The chase is well and truly on and at 40/ 1 for the league its well worth a fiver - we are around 6/ 1 for the Scottish Cup

2.) 16 Jan 2018 14:09:08
Need to have a real go at both the league and cup with our new signings

3.) 16 Jan 2018 14:31:33
Let's calm down guys but yes I'm very impressed with the signings.

4.) 16 Jan 2018 17:24:44
Gutted we couldn’t scrape a goal in that last old firm game 8 points we would still have wee chance but 11 seems too much for this season. They would have to drop points at least twice with us winning for us to make it interesting but an old firm victory, finishing 2nd and winning Scottish Cup should be our targets for the end of the season.
If we could achieve 2/ 3 targets what would you pick and why?

5.) 16 Jan 2018 17:48:55
id take 2nd and the cup ahead of an old firm win mate. 2nd is needed for longer term goals which i'd value ahead of a one off game against them. with the added bonus of a scottish cup win meaning a trophy for us and the fact we beat them to it!

6.) 16 Jan 2018 20:57:16
Personally I’d take winning the cup and beating them in league. Winning the Cup gets us into Europa League and I think the 2nd qualifying round and stops back to back trebles.
Beating them would be a good statement for new squad an a Psychological blow to them which could help going into next season.

Hearts in for Naismith!

1.) 11 Jan 2018 18:00:41

2.) 11 Jan 2018 20:24:00
Sky sports news terms agreed with Norwich just personnel term with Naismith

3.) 11 Jan 2018 21:56:09
According to the bbc, Naismith is available on loan from Norwich but they're looking at £10k of his wages to be paid. 2 clubs in England have agreed to pay that. He's got 18months of his contract left. They paid millions for him. They're not letting him go for f*ck all. Naismith telling folk he'd play for nowt is single fish. He's a talented player, who has hardly played this season and is always injured. Do we need another niko?

4.) 11 Jan 2018 22:58:52
Norwich are freeing him of his contract if he finds a club close to home. He wants to come home

5.) 11 Jan 2018 23:36:47
Where are you getting that from? All I've seen is Norwich have made him available for loan?

6.) 12 Jan 2018 01:23:20
We better get the finger out and get naisy signed pronto

01 Jan 2018 23:41:56
Halliday is back

1.) 02 Jan 2018 08:24:39
Can't say am happy with that but hope he shows up. Couldn't get a game with his last team and they are not in a good league

2.) 02 Jan 2018 10:47:49
I think this is a good decision. Yes he’s not going to be a first team regular when all players fit and available, but he’s a versatile player who can play in midfield and full back positions, so better than the cover we have in these areas at the moment, and cost nothing.

3.) 02 Jan 2018 10:54:38
Not impressed on this one because he's a Rangers fan and kisses the badge some on here think he's our saviour he didn't do much the last time he wore the Hersey and I don't expect much this time but time will tell

4.) 02 Jan 2018 11:11:25
Aye, he's equally as bad in a number of positions! How must young Barjonas feel wondering if he'll get pushed down the pecking order by Halliday?

5.) 02 Jan 2018 16:56:43
Does nobody remember that Warburton constantly played Halliday out of position in DM? That is not his favoured position and remember he had the lego muncher Broon in his back pocket in the semi final when Halliday had a good game. Anyway, that's it gers fans, follow with tradition on these pages and crucify the guy before he's even set foot back in Ibrox.

I wish people would stop blaming Murty for Sunday’s failures . He was extremely unlucky with Martin unable to be included in the squad then unlucky again when bates got injured, this resulted in him having to play 2 Centre halves that everyone knows isn’t good enough . If Morelos had taken his chance prior to Celtics third we would have won the game and everyone would be giving Murty a pat in the back. Mistakes cost us and we will learn . This is the closest we have been for a number of years and we are all naturally disappointed- remember were we were in the December. Murty has worked wonders and we should be applauding. A couple of decent central defenders in the summer will sort our issues at the back and we have quality midfielders and the club captain to come back . Celtic got lucky at the weekend and they know it - follow follow

1.) 13 Mar 2018 20:57:30
Celtic got lucky? How do you work that out? They played 30 mins with 10 men and still won. Also how is a guy with 94 caps for Portugal not good enough? Our team isn’t exactly full of players like that. I actually thought he played well enough

2.) 13 Mar 2018 22:53:19
Got lucky in terms of rangers not being able to play strongest 11 . It has been obvious for some time alves I isn’t good enough and the second goal illustrates this. If bates and Martin had been fit alves would have been nowhere near the starting 11. Arthurd - the width of the post was all that was between the teams on Sunday, over the last few years it’s been the length of the mate. Fingers crossed bates and Martin will be back for semi final.

3.) 13 Mar 2018 23:17:47
Agree about Alves. I thought he played well. I also thought we were very unlucky. Morelos was inside prior to their second, his shot that Bain saved took a slight Nick of the defender's leg allowing him to make the save. With Rogic"s shot the opposite happened. The Nick off Bates took the ball even wider. Not only that but Bates was badly injured at the same time.

Then Morelos hits the inside of the post. A matter of 2 inches to the right would have given us a deserved equaliser. Our luck must surely change soon. Those criticising Murty should get a grip. With just a little luck we would have won the game. How many of you would have thought this possible following the havoc the previous manager wreaked upon us?

4.) 13 Mar 2018 23:41:14
You could say they got away with one with Morelos' two chances.

But at the end of the day they took their one chance and we didn’t take ours when the opportunity came.

The defenders gifted Eduard the chance at goal, but at the same time their defence also gifted us chances which we failed to capitalise on.

Looking forwards - basically summed up it’s fine margins!

We are getting better, remember this is a season where we have sacked a disaster of an appointment and given the job to our development coach until the end of the season and we are now giving Celtic a good go at it, pulling away from Aberdeen etc. We are doing pretty well considering the season we’ve had (progres anyone? ) .

We are moving finally moving forward.

5.) 13 Mar 2018 23:58:48
Hampden hospitality if you want to pay for that.

6.) 14 Mar 2018 10:51:18
i get we had a few players out but let's not forget they turned us over with their 3rd choice GK who hadnt played in about 6 months. they were also missing probably their best winger in roberts along with their first choice RB and top scorer and they won playing about 35 mins with 10 men. so fair enough use players missing as an excuse but both teams did.

nothing alters the fact that we never really looked comfortable in the game and despite many thinking we are so close we are just as far as ever from beating them. i think that's now 12 games since we managed to beat them and they now have 4 wins in a row at our home.

i can't see anything changing anytime soon neither

7.) 14 Mar 2018 10:53:44
bearmode91 i wouldn't really say we are pulling away from aberdeen. if they win their game in hand its only a 2 point difference and we still have to play aberdeen and hibs plus possibly killie twice as well as celtic away.

if we are not careful hibs could easily sneak up on us before we realise it and end up 4th.

im certain we will finish 2nd but its by no means done and dusted not by a long shot

16 Feb 2018 14:11:52
Windass signs new deal 👌🏻

30 Jan 2018 16:58:07
how about taking the £7m for Morelos, bid £500 k for Lafferty and £4 million for John McGinn . Swap/ cask MOH for caddis at Motherwell - bank the change.

1.) 30 Jan 2018 17:13:54
Mcginn is crap.

2.) 30 Jan 2018 17:31:47
How about people stop believeing we got an offer of £7m for Morelos👍

3.) 30 Jan 2018 17:46:36
Morelos if he goes is a win win for rangers plenty profit and money to buy a replacement but it must be someone who is highly rated with quality not an up and coming promissing kid would take lafferty in a heartbeat

4.) 30 Jan 2018 17:48:57
I’d have McGinn in a heartbeat but he’ll be at The Dhims next year.

His Grandfather was the ex Chairman of Celtic, his family is steeped in their traditions. not ours

5.) 30 Jan 2018 18:20:57
Calvin55 - you calling Murty a liar 🤥. He acknowledged the fact on sky earlier today.

6.) 30 Jan 2018 18:23:10
Greyfriar - agree but timing Ian everything in football - Celtic don’t look interested in him at the moment - he may see rangers as a step closer to EPL and at the end of the day money talks - look at Scott brown . Apparently he’s one of us!

7.) 30 Jan 2018 18:38:15
5 would love mcgranahan but he's the natural replacement for Brown imo

8.) 30 Jan 2018 18:52:50
4 million for McGinn, calm down!

9.) 30 Jan 2018 18:58:58
Mcginn will never sign for us. definitely going to them as brown replacement. Don't want him anyway, really overrated in my opinion.

10.) 30 Jan 2018 19:00:09
So If we had four million to spend on one single player you would spend it on mcginn? Glad you are not the manager

11.) 30 Jan 2018 19:01:43
Bloody predicted text! Mcginn not mcgranahan lol

12.) 30 Jan 2018 21:24:18
Deanobear - McGinn is a good player, everyone thought Celtic were off their heads paying over the odds for brown - his fee around £4m looks a bargain. One season at rangers and we would double our money. Wasn’t that long ago people were claiming Cummings was “one of them” and overrated - now he’s the man . As Murty has shown we should be looking at young hungry Scottish players that want to win things and eventually win a move to EPL . McGinn fits the bill - unfortunately my coaching badges don’t stretch to the mighty Gers - however at least I ha e some 😜

13.) 30 Jan 2018 21:49:39

14.) 30 Jan 2018 22:00:19
Calvin55 - you are obviously deaf (is that what the caps are about) 😂 - Murty was on the tv today stating the club had received a bid which hadn’t met the valuation of the club. The club realize we have a player of value and won’t be shortchanged ie mckay deal . I personally think anything close to 5m would be excellent and anything above would be be outstanding. Unless you are on the board then you are talking single fish and I will listen to our manager who seems a very honest chap

15.) 30 Jan 2018 22:33:50
Calvin55 mate you can keep saying that till your blue in the face, but having admitted you are not on the board, that means you have absolutely no idea what was bid and no comprehension of the finances, and that is a FACT!

16.) 30 Jan 2018 23:13:12
I’m hearing that u are in fact correct Calvin55, the bid was not £7M. it was in fact totalling £8.4M including the add ons and was rejected on footballing reasons! Sleep well my friend!

17.) 30 Jan 2018 23:19:34
Ffs can you lot read? Not once have I said there wasn't a bid, not once have I proclaimed to know how much was bid if there was a bid! All I said was we did not knock back a bid of £7m as was quoted in the media!

18.) 30 Jan 2018 23:54:30
£8.4m 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

19.) 30 Jan 2018 23:56:58
Can you not read what your saying? "Not once have I proclaimed to know how much was bid". So whether the bid was £2m, £7m, £8•5m or £20m, YOU DON'T KNOW! Ergo you cannot claim that it wasn't £7m. FACT!

20.) 31 Jan 2018 01:26:26
Jesus wept! Yes I can claim it wasn't £7m and it certainly wasn't £8.4 either because we cannot afford to reject that sort of money and I back this up with the fact we are surviving on soft loans to make ends meet! Deadline day is upon us so we will see if Morelos goes for anything above the figures already quoted. If he does then we will know for a fact whether or not the club has rejected offers of £7m, £8.4m etc!

16 Jan 2018 00:28:21
Anyone else sick of boyds anti rangers chat - didn't hear him moaning about Celtic making derisory offers for Dundee Utd players. Not sure the lad Jones is worth much more than Rangers have offered and to be honest not sure why we need him as left mid look well covered. Last time I checked a club are entitled to make an offer which can either be accepted or declined. He seems to fancy himself and has plenty to say on just about any subject - and it's usually a pile of sh*t.

1.) 16 Jan 2018 01:44:27
Fed up listening to every other former player or idiot that thinks they can take a pop at us.

I don’t mind criticism and we have been deserving of it but for too long now, too many have taken cheap shots, especially those from minor clubs, who are not even on par.

We’re well within our rights to bid what we feel a player is worth, they either accept it or refute it, but both with an equal measure of dignity.

I hope the young Killie players agent is now demanding the champagne wages from their board, now they’ve like many before them, have overvalued a player, just because it’s us that’s bidding.

I for one am happy with the dealings of the club and the second half of the season is looking much more positive under Murty and the obvious input from DOF.

Unless a player is an extraordinary talent, I for one, wouldn’t give another SPL Club any of our money again.

For too long they have baited and relentlessy kicked us but the tide is now turning and the blue sea of Ibrox will once again wash over them with its tidal waves.

Though the streets be broad or narrow fellow bears, we will follow on.

2.) 16 Jan 2018 05:03:18
We'd be stupid to offer what clubs are asking, they will start high we will start low, its called negotiation apparently its quite common in business :-) :-) :-)

3.) 16 Jan 2018 07:27:54
Boyd's a fan and entitled to his opinion just like every one of us here. I think most of his remarks and comments are pretty astute observations and he's no fool. Our so called negotiations with Hearts on Walker got us nowhere. I don't know what this Killie player is worth but our offer is a clear insult to them. We've had a Docherty bid turned down as well. Go in with a realistic price at least as a starting offer or just do your homework, make your decision and pay. That is of course if we have the money.

4.) 16 Jan 2018 10:10:02
Kfraser - totally disagree. We offered 600k for walker - this is a fair offer for a player with less than a year left on his contract and next to no international offers . Hearts were extremely vocal in declining the offer and he ends up leaving for 300k. Rangers obviously decided to move onwards by purchasing Murphy and not be held to ransom. The Docherty deal is being handled correctly, Hamilton chairman clearly stated an Ibrox official called to ask permission and both clubs will then enter into negotiations. The fake news will have you believe otherwise!

5.) 16 Jan 2018 14:02:05
He's after a job on scotsport

6.) 16 Jan 2018 14:56:21
The delusional can keep on deluding themselves. It's the lie of the land on here. How many anti Boyd protesters suddenly coming to life on here questioned the Mexican transfers? I'd guess none. Wake up and smell the coffee! It's easy to have a go at Boyd but it's not the right answer.

12 Jan 2018 13:49:24
Any one else agree Murty seems to be assembling a decent squad- two teams last night and still missing - Miller Wallace jack dorrans, alves and Wes. Get rid of a couple more add a striker and center half and confident we will finish second . Who knows might even close the gap

1.) 12 Jan 2018 18:48:09
yep agree
we need to beat tims at brox to give players belief they are not invincible, oh sorry hearts.

Noticed not in squad again - not sure what we are playing at with him. Only reason for bringing him back was to either play or sell - looks like we achieved neither?

Too many on here giving him a hard time - 3 months ago not getting a game and watching alves krancar etc earning top money . I am sure it was during this period he decided to look elsewhere. What’s wrong with him looking out for himself and his family - he also has form - all his previous contracts have been run down hence should come as no surprise. We get some money and hopefully everything can invest in another player who is keen to play for the jersey - Danny Wilson has never let rangers down and goes with my best wishes

GOT. Goss has been influential and had a great start . However 4m 😱- was purchased for 500k and couldn’t force his way into a poor qpr team . Let’s give him time and hope he performs well in the next old form game. I have a feeling 1m would be enough to get him.
Great win tonight and keeps an unlikely title push going- if not then a valuable 3 pts to secure 2nd

Got to realistic - Finnish football then spfl and if everyone was honest he’s missed more than he’s scored -£11 m is outstanding return and we should bite their hands off . Will guarantee we can afford the loan players and be able to challenge next season
