Been awake half the night, raging at that debacle at hearts. I'm convinced we have a split within the dressing room that SG is unable to solve. It may or may not revolve around a certain torn faced wee columbian. However, I AM convinced our complete lack of a leader on the park is a huge part of our downfall.

I have said before that this group have proved their ability, you don't get to the last 16 in Europe AND destroy your main rivals without the tools in the locker to do so. SG either has not or cannot recognise this.

I don't see anyone in the current squad with the commanding persona, so with that in mind, who do you guys think is out there that we could realistically get to fill that "Barry Ferguson, Terry butcher", Red face, snot bubble, finger pointing, ass kicking roll next season?

1.) 01 Mar 2020 08:30:14
Arfield is your man.

2.) 01 Mar 2020 08:53:39
Nail on the head, these things fester within dressing rooms when there isn't a leader to nip it in the bud.
With a real leader and presence any disruptions would have been identified and removed. Which surprises me with the likes of mcgergor in there but then again he is neither captain or vice captain.

3.) 01 Mar 2020 09:52:20
For me we should be looking in bosman market down south bringing in a couple players in there late 20s not mid to late 30s. We need to stop the 10 players a year and bring in 3 or 4 top quality players.

4.) 01 Mar 2020 14:09:54
anyone think ross mcrorie would improve our midfield

big strong aggressive quick tackles bullies pressures scores odd goal. sure he can work on his touch and distribution but he gives you everything and is still young

teams bully us - we don’t have many willing to scrap

it’s that simple.

5.) 01 Mar 2020 17:38:43
Anyone think Greg Docherty would improve our midfield too?

6.) 01 Mar 2020 18:30:59
Sir Struth I don’t think Docherty would improve our midfield, he done very little when he got games for us.

27 Apr 2018 20:44:33
I'm told by a pal who has a link to Robbie Keane that SG is a cert and is bringing Mcallister and someone called Tom Culshaw. He's a big sellik fan, so could be a wynd up.

1.) 27 Apr 2018 21:43:25
A like how u have a bike as your picture because your pal is taking u fur a ride

2.) 27 Apr 2018 23:59:48
Smodge81 he's no bullshittin

{Ed0333's Note - I hope he comes to Rangers I really do.

3.) 28 Apr 2018 04:01:34
I don't understand the Gerrard bashing. If there's one thing his team will compete and be more physical

4.) 28 Apr 2018 05:39:44
The only Gerrard bashing is coming from the Tim’s Fraz!
Listened to a bit of SCB on way to work last night and they are seething of the thought of him coming to the Teddies?

5.) 28 Apr 2018 11:22:21
Well morning my fellow bears can a confirm that bookies have priced us up to have no chance tomorrow sitting at 7/ 1 fingers are crossed but this is the time player need to stand up and be counted and leather these c@&£.

6.) 28 Apr 2018 16:48:41
I was sceptical about Gerard for us but I am convinced now that he could do a good job. He is all about hard work and fitness, we need this badly. Players can't run for 90 minutes that Scottish football needs. The fact that that nugget Sutton et al are saying its a bad move, further convinces me its a good move. I only wish that someone like Souness would help out, or Walter or even Ally, just to give him more knowledge of Scottish football. Possibly exciting times ahead teddy bears.

Finishing off work at a Rangers player house this week, won't name him as I don't want my collar felt. Heard him on his phone correcting someone about the spelling of a player that "might be coming in January". Harry Winks
Never heard of him but according to the conversation he is or was an England youth?

1.) 19 Nov 2016 18:35:45
he is in spurs first team against west ham tonight better trade your tools for a hearing aid.

2.) 20 Nov 2016 02:08:40
why would anyone need help spelling that name?

3.) 20 Nov 2016 03:26:56
Ivlark, some people get their vowels mixed up sometimes.

4.) 20 Nov 2016 21:18:17
The day we start getting excited about loan signings is the day we should call it a day. Watburton had pretty much disregarded the youth set up at Rangers and loaned out some of our best prospects. We need to let our youth flourish and show some faith in them. This english loan deal set up is not what we need to get back to the top.

5.) 21 Nov 2016 09:21:25
bryan there is a lot of negative talk about what we are doing with the youth squads but no one is giving the system time to work.
there has been an overhaul with our youth system and it will take time to get the results but that's not what is important to us first team supportsers .
whats important for the first team is that when the youth does start to play well in that system that the better players are given their chance and others loaned out for some much needed experience . will take a few years I think for this to take full effect.

6.) 21 Nov 2016 22:06:17
Would that be the same harry winks who played and scored for spurs against west ham?

7.) 21 Nov 2016 22:22:52
Maybe he said harry winks at all the women.

13 Sep 2016 13:42:48
MW apparently looking at making an offer for Liam Cooper in January (Leeds United I think. ) Source was Raymond Sparkes. Occasional client of ours who always seems to remember I'm a Rangers man when it suits! Nice fella actually.
No gen on the boy at all, or even value but his contract finishes in 2017 apparently.

1.) 13 Sep 2016 19:07:34
that would give us clint hill senderos and kiernan as much good as chocolate firegaurds.

I would love to spend on a rock hard dominant CB. Not a squad player, a 30 year, old been there done it (well) and ready to go. Headlander looks potentially the best of our lot but not sure potential is where we need to be right now. I'm of the same opinion up front, too small too light. If SG were of the same opinion, I'm guessing the front man would be the gamble buy.

Who can we see as the CB loan or buy and who up front would you like to see come on and get stuck into the 5 at the back mobs?

1.) 04 Jun 2020 19:09:02
bimottablue, where do you get the idea that a 27 year old Swedish international is 'potential'? He was bought to play then suffered a bad injury and when fully fit he will be our main defender. As for a striker, all this talk of steamrollers like Dykes and Cosgrove don't do it for me, neither does Shankland, who nobody inside Ibrox believes will ever be good enough to enhance our team. That means, apart from Morelos, who will be here next season and rightly so, the next striker to come in is known only to the club's management and I hoope it's someone two levels higher than those already mentioned. I also think we will spend money on a midfield enforcer, possibly from another country and not Ferguson.

25 May 2020 17:23:59
Scott Allen
Don't want to upset anyone's evening but would you sign him?
I don't know his contract status but he were available at the right price, I see a talent that would very probably grab this chance and squeeze the bjeebus out of it possibly giving us the game changer we most definitely need.

1.) 25 May 2020 17:42:44
Not for me bim 2 inconsistent. he has found his level at hibs imo. If we where going to sign any controversial figure, think Naismith would be a better option as would offer more of a goal threat.

2.) 25 May 2020 18:06:23
Fed up with this name surfacing. let's drop it now he is not worthy of a, blue shirt end of.

3.) 25 May 2020 18:14:43
Why are we talking about boycotting away game then wanting to buy players from them.

4.) 25 May 2020 18:52:12
No to Allan. And no to Naismith. Will spend more time in the treatment room and is a wee Judas anyway. Not the profile of player we should be looking at. Yesterday’s boys.

5.) 25 May 2020 22:42:50
He can play a defence splitting pass, would have him.

23 May 2020 07:31:38
I'm not going to pretend I even have the answer to my own question here but I asked earlier if our signings should be biased towards quality or quantity, I appreciate a mix is needed. However let's assume we sell a big asset. Would anyone here agree with me that we need as top a quality playmaker or no:10 as we can possibly stretch to? I think it's been our biggest miss and if we were able to push the boat, that's where I'd do it
Any suggestions?

21 May 2020 17:48:09

Yes or no?

Signing strategy:

Quality? Quantity?

1.) 21 May 2020 18:27:27
Definitely has the ability. Wether he has the strength or mentality to mix it up when the chips are down remains to be seen. Think it could be good business and all going well could make a tidy profit from him.

2.) 21 May 2020 18:33:57
Hagi will be a great signing. I think we will change our formation to play through him if he signs. Can't keep playing the same formation that wasn't working. Don't think we will sign more than 3/ 4 players before the season starts.

3.) 21 May 2020 18:40:19
Bimot better than ojo ejaria Stewart Middleton hastie et al.
Not sure he is suited to Scottish game. But when signing confirmed he has my support.

4.) 21 May 2020 19:16:17
Think we will sign a heap of players this year. Although the players already left really have no bearing on the 1st team. Really really hope borna stays. sign back up for him. Kamara can go anytime morelos probs away. Need to really make these transfers coubt can't afford the gaffer bringing in anymore duds.

5.) 21 May 2020 19:18:55
Hagi will be a great signing. Problem was, last games being played our heads went down and we lost that winning mentality. Once we gel again he will be great asset to Rangers.

6.) 21 May 2020 19:48:52
Not to fussed, think 4 million is a bit too much to pay for him don't think he's been any better than decent.

7.) 21 May 2020 20:14:34
Yes and quality 👍.

8.) 21 May 2020 20:09:16
Hagi yes
Quality over quantity
Young Liverpool loanees not what we need.

9.) 21 May 2020 20:30:25
Think it was D. Povan who scoffed at the possibilities of us signing Hagi . or Hagi wanting to come to us .
I hope he is man enough to apologise if Hagi signs . although we all know we would be waiting forever fir an apology lol.

10.) 21 May 2020 21:17:57
I think that Hagi will prove to be better value for money than Kent.
If he does sign for us then Welcome to Glasgow Rangers Ianis, make Ibrox your home and make us proud.

16 May 2020 17:18:29
Assuming there is the will to respond to the seasons outcome. As fans, our only REAL power is to boycott away grounds. There is no doubt this would impact all clubs, some more than most. Thing is:
Could this realistically be done?
What effect would this have on results?

1.) 16 May 2020 19:03:10
Agreed and it’s what should be done. But we’ll be shouted by those who either won’t see the bigger picture, don’t care or don’t agree. I’d prefer Rangers didn’t take any allocations. Couldn’t care less of other clubs suffer, they don’t deserve a Single blue pound.

2.) 17 May 2020 15:44:17
Ibrox4me, i swore i would go to any away grounds, once we got back into premier league, and I've not been to any away games, don't get me wrong sometimes i wished at attended away grounds, but my word is my bond, so no more ever for me, i know a lot of us said it at the time, but obviously some stil go, tho. I think its maybe locals, without season books that attend away games, though when i hear some of the songs i'm glad i never went, mate.

"he is already in the process of contacting the South African revenue to let them know that he would like to move some undeclared income out of the country"

"undeclared income" Good luck with that!

If that's true, then we are well and truly screwed financially! Never mind that his skill set has NO chance of advancing the team, but if after all this time we end up with a fella who has been begging for the job for as long as I can remember, it means we don't have a pot to piss in.

Mentioned Allan in an earlier post. I suspect, given the chance he would squeeze everything he could out of a chance at Ibrox. However, it depends on his current contract. It would need to be a bit of a steal to risk the potential upset to some of the support. And there will be a fair few pi€€Ed off.

There is a lot of talk about "getting on with it" forget the astrix etc. Probably wise advise. However, when you now see in full, the rather pathetic, vindictive way everyone, it seems, in the game are piling in, Lennon, Jackson telling us if we knuckle down we might just gain some respect back.

Screw that and them! No need for this to be a childish response. On the contrary, let's get our best minds around this, say as little as possible but ACT within the laws in our and only our best interest. I would LOVE a successful away ground boycott, squeeze the loan player rule in a synical way to suit us, contribute nothing unless we have to.

I don't think a club should be allowed to loan players to direct competition, system is abused I think. Having said that, while it's allowed, use it! No point in hindering our chances. I won't pretend to know enough about this fallout to say what's what, but if the board truly feel a grieved, they should act in a mature way about it. If it suits us, do it, if not let the others sort themselves out. Let's try and get back to the days where our confidence in our club started right from the top! Back in the day when Mr Murray spoke, you listened and what he said, happened!

It goes to the heart of our problems this season. This European style of retain possession is wrong for the SPL. We are going to have 70% of the ball in 90% of the games, we don't need to play this "surrender" football. Attack, take chances! I would rather lose the ball in their box due to a bad pass or block, but we are more likely to pass into into out own box FROM the opposing box, then lose a goal. Ross County could easily be 2 up even though we have most of the ball. Too many timid players fairt to have a go. SG needs to have a word, with himself!
