To be fair yes Morelos was (marginally) onside but why even make it a split decision. the amount of times he gets caught offside is horrid, arc the run and all is good😂. ps on another subject, hands up who thought Halliday was finished? Man management at its best.

17 Sep 2018 11:26:32
What you talking about? Marginally or not. he was onside. Another poor decision from the officials. Your just looking for any excuse now to bring the lad down. He put another great shift in on Saturday.

17 Sep 2018 10:28:11
He was clearly on side!

16 Sep 2018 20:17:21
So Morelos was clearly onside and behind the ball! Any action against the linesman?

If Wolves such a very strong team why they sitting so very low in EPL. Very ninth I believe.

16 Sep 2018 20:27:49
a point behind Arsenal, Spurs and United. They all dross too mate?

16 Sep 2018 21:36:02
There still sitting ninth. Arsenal et al have team to mount recovery. Wolves and their strong team don't.

17 Sep 2018 00:33:43
Are you being serious millerbrandwilson?

16 Sep 2018 15:52:04
Stevie G said "a little surprised how Celtic players celebrated after the win and maybe that's what they do" Our Managers reaction to Broony and co doing a lap of honour after an old firm win?
Can't remember any players from either side celebrating like that in 40 years so hopefully our players remember this and kick on! #NO CLASS🇬🇧.

16 Sep 2018 18:53:32
A remember even bigger celabrations to a certin partick thistle . That was less than 2 years ago .

16 Sep 2018 20:20:03
What are you talking about?

16 Sep 2018 21:24:33
Think he would be a tad surprised to with the way griffis and brown and co were allowed to goad our loyal after whistle and the way we were locked in with the baying mob . a total disgrace . shameful . I bet Stevie and the new. Boys had never seen such hate coming from opposition.

16 Sep 2018 21:46:44
Did I not say old firm match? 🇬🇧.

16 Sep 2018 22:40:32
They've been doing it at all the recent old firms games. Dancing on the pitch and running to the fans. A cup semi or cup final aye. but in a league game? Plus since they bleat on about us not being Rangers and there being no Old Firm anymore. then why does it mean so much to them to beat us?

16 Sep 2018 23:16:07
@celticeob - that was a last minute winner that qualified us for Europe.
What's your thoughts on your fellow unwashed demanding the Ronny Roar when you beat the mighty East Kilbride?
P. S. Is Brenda's called the Tranny Triumph? 😱😂😱.

17 Sep 2018 00:28:28
Spot on parky they're a funny breed.

17 Sep 2018 14:18:30
I hope the guys have taken this on board and really milk it dry when we win at Ibrox. A lap of honour after the 4th league game of the season is ridiculous tbh. And the likes of Brown and Griffiths appear to be untouchable to the point of getting away with anything. I wonder if we will get fined, players banned or points deducted when we do it. Imagine the meltdown at breezeblock boulevard if we beat them in the 3rd match. The timplosion would be catastrophic!

16 Sep 2018 14:55:58
Think Villareal game going to be tough but if we play like yesterday, which incidentally thought best gers performance this season. We might get result. There start to season has been poor getting humped by virtual nobodies. And if Wolves can get a result who knows.

16 Sep 2018 15:32:45
Wolves are a very strong team. I think you're underestimating them. They have individual players worth more than our whole team.

16 Sep 2018 17:01:41
I think a draw would be a good result over there. I'd take that now. We need to make ibrox a fortress and try and win our home games. Anyway who cares! I think we are all just happy to be back in Europe proper. Lots of good nights at Ibrox coming up!

16 Sep 2018 20:22:58
Agree Dunoonbear, Ibrox should bar fortress and team should fear visiting the stadium. That’s the way it used to be and SG is well aware of the Anfield fortress of his youth.

16 Sep 2018 20:42:40
Mbw, do u watch or follow football? Wolves last 2 years have spent a fortune on players and have players in neves and Diogo jota etc who are capable of playing in a top 4 team. Cracking team will easily finish top half of premiership imo.

16 Sep 2018 20:42:50
Wolves r a cracking wee team, they'll comfortably stay in the EPL.

16 Sep 2018 10:55:36
Was very impressed with us yesterday for the majority of the game we played some excellent stuff. Coulibally makes a major difference to us the boy is class and possibly the best box to box midfielder we've had since stevie Davis. Signing him should be our number one priority next season without question but I think we'll struggle to afford him. Really starting to get excited about Middleton the boy is going to be class and although Grezda didn't get long yesterday you can tell he's going to be a player. Although the Celtic game was a setback I still believe if we can keep everybody fit and Morelos and lafferty can keep can banging them in we've got a descent chance this season👍🏼.

16 Sep 2018 14:24:40
Agree JGG1. Coullibally looks immense and a rock in midfield and will be key on Thursday particularly with Jack unfit. The boy Middelton reminds me of a young Bud Johnston and good to see him get some decent game time yesterday.

16 Sep 2018 15:40:55
Bankie, i agree with your comparison between our young winger glenn middleton and our legendary winger, wullie 'bud' johnston! Had the privilege of watching wee bud and he was a terrific winger! Glenn middleton has some similar traits, to bud and will have a very good future in the game, as far as i'm concerned!

16 Sep 2018 16:45:20
The famous SuperCoop "kiss of death". Poor Middleton will be playing for Morton now in a couple of seasons 🤣😉.

16 Sep 2018 18:00:12
Agreed, Snell, for starters he's not at all like my good friend Willie Johnston, who could play inside, outside and was a lot more two-footed and had a better injection of pace. For large chunks of his career Bud played more as a modern day second striker and was never really a touchline winger. Look at his goals in Barcelona. In all he scored 90 goals for Rangers in just over 200 games, so if Middleton can do that then he will be comparable to Johnston.

16 Sep 2018 18:22:03
Disagree with you dutycalls. If you've carefully watched middleton when he's came on as a sub for us, he can play outside and come inside beating his man! Middleton also has a terrific injection of pace, so i honestly don't think you have been watching young middleton thoroughly mate!

16 Sep 2018 19:03:43
Think the boy is just 18 and looks a terrific prospect. Interesting to hear SG’s comments on Middleton after match yesterday, clearly thinks highly of the lad. Also seems to have good values and be a really good lad, an area where “Bud” could have been better.

16 Sep 2018 20:44:23
Been very impressed with Middleton we've got a class wee player on our hands, a winger of days gone past nd these modern full backs will struggle to deal with him.

I believe Morelos and Flanagan are available for the Villarreal game, as it was two yellow cards and not a straight red's, all yellow cards from the qualifying rounds are not carried through to the group stage's and they start afresh.

16 Sep 2018 08:12:27
Both are suspended for this game.

16 Sep 2018 08:27:14
Morelos is suspended I’m 100% sure it was mentioned on RTV mate.

16 Sep 2018 08:33:28
Both are suspended.

16 Sep 2018 09:27:13
I'm pretty sure UEFA have confirmed that they are both suspended. Suspension for 3 yellows within qualifiers are wiped but doesn't apply to a red in previous game, even if it consisted of two bookings. I'll stand corrected though if I am wrong.

16 Sep 2018 13:28:49
Barasic would be starting before Flanagan anyway and this might be a game more suited to Lafferty up front on his own.

16 Sep 2018 14:22:16
Both 100% unavailable .

16 Sep 2018 14:29:39
Do Morekad and Flanagan have 1 match suspensions or is it more lengthy?

16 Sep 2018 15:37:53
I'm under the impression that as Morelos was given 2 yellow cards rather than a straight red, he can play as all yellow cards are rescinded for the group stages. As for Flanagan he received a straight red and is suspended. I know it was mentioned on RTV yesterday that both are supended.

16 Sep 2018 19:36:03
Doesn't matter if it's 2 yellows. 2 yellows is still a red, both suspended.

Resounding win. Hopefully the start of a wee run including some decent results in Europe.
Onwards and upwards. Let’s Go! #55.

16 Sep 2018 12:17:45
With you on that Union. I am now even more convinced Stevie is going to do it for us and is realistic not being carried away with us beating a bottom of the league club. My only concern now is the number of injury prone players we have on the books with us still playing in the Europa league for now.

16 Sep 2018 15:06:50
@bluebilly - it’s great to have a manager in Gerrard who after an easy win isn’t happy with certain areas of the game and can see room for improvements.
And your right injuries are an issue but we’ve the best squad available in a couple of seasons now with some good quality youngsters as back up if need be. 🔴⚪️🔵.

16 Sep 2018 01:23:32
Other than Lafferty replacing suspended Morelos, should there be any changes to starting line-up from today for Villarreal?

16 Sep 2018 03:49:17
I think ejaria for halliday.

16 Sep 2018 10:37:51
Why halliday had a good game yesterday.

16 Sep 2018 11:02:20
Check Hallidays stats for games started under Gerrard to goals conceded, quite impressive.

16 Sep 2018 14:24:58
I’d play Halliday before Ejaria in the away leg.

16 Sep 2018 16:44:05
I wouldn't mate halliday done well but ejaria can take care of the ball better and is more likely to grab a goal or an assist.

17 Sep 2018 12:48:46
Ejaria in for Halliday for me.
