You are 100% correct again Ulster with typical Rangers. Yet again we can not compete with a bid for a player who will be getting paid at least double to what we could afford to pay him, he will be playing in the best league in the world and imagine turning down the opportunity of getting to play on some real nice plastic pitches as well. Perhaps a quality loan is a sensible option if Davies doesn’t want to move.

At 5million there’s no chance in us signing him, because of the money we’ve already spent. We must have likely knew he was out our price range, I don’t think we ever made a formal bid for him, maybe a enquiry yeah but no bid or some media outlet somewhere would have said something. All our players this year have been well documented before coming- but that was curiously quite?

I think the interest in Panzo is real though because news we were sniffing around him has come out the Nottingham end, as well as hearing it in Scotland. With Trusty I never got that.

I’m pretty sure it’s Panzo we’re going for! Makes more sense as Beale has worked with him before, he’s cheaper. It’s maybe not the one some fans want but I’ll get behind him. It’s someone I don’t know much about but surely has to be better than what we have.

Either that or a loan. We need someone who can fill the role competently, But think the Trusty thing was either BS or wishful thinking if someone comes in and bid 5 million, because Sheffield would have taken time to negotiate that and we’re not going to be in the background offering 3.5,we would have got told no- your to far away in price. That’s just basic logic.

Money in from Davies, Lundstram, Kamara, Sakala and hopefully Barasic would give the manager a decent chance of sorting things out but a couple of those players might not want to go and refuse to play ball. What would that total income be? 12 to 13 £m? gives him a real chance . However if he sees any of them worth keeping that's a worry .

The story I read about Trusty was that Sheff Utd want him on a years loan, probably because they expect to be relegated at the end of the season. If we want Trusty we should go in hard for him and give him the choice . If he picks Sheff Utd, then fair enough, we did all that we could.

As mentioned Ulsterblue, the only reason you hear that is because awful main stream media and blogging sites have no idea who we are after until usually the deal is pretty far down the line. So when you read things like ‘Rangers have lost out on’ and it’s players like that winger from the Greek team or Josh Maja or probably the vast majority of other players we get linked with, the truth is, we either had absolutely no interest in them and it’s just paper talk maybe fulled by agents using our name to drum up business, or it may be players that, yes, we have scouted or considered and ultimately decided against perusing. But as these papers and sites have little else to talk about they keep running stories about these players and us up until the point they move to a club that actually was interested in them and then they post a story about how we have ‘missed out’ on them. It’s probably best just to take all stories regarding players we are linked with, with a large pinch of salt until sites such as Heart on Hand or 4 Lads state something to confirm any interest.

Thats because most of the players you read that we are interested in is just clickbait and so when they go elsewhere the next clickbait headline is Rangers have lost out on . At last count we have been linked with over 70 players this summer alone and I`m pretty sure we haven`t enquired about most of them . Perfect example is Piroe who is valued at over £10milion so we were never in the hunt for him but I read this morning we are about to lose out on him. There will be some that we want that we get outbid on, can`t afford or won`t come to us but not as many as various sources make out,
