Has anyone else read from a Dutch source on X that Van Veen is signing on a loan with option to buy? I know money is tight but we ain't overtaking the other mob if this is true.

Van Veen knows the league. Big physical lad who can find the net. Wouldn't be surprised if we take him and another striker on loan til end of season. Can see a few loans potentially, nowt much else happening in Jan.

He has apparently agreed terms for 6 month loan, only done part of his medical, no info on why.

Hearts refused to sell Shankland in January and the DoF is only looking at short term deals for January.

Aye if we get him along with a quality striker I'd be happy with that. The times we've struggled to score but created loads of chances have been crying out for a forward who knows the league and can chip in with a few goals.

Is sold

A loan for a decent centre creative mid to shore up injuries

N many another winger if matondo not fully fit,

We would be in a really good way too win the league, yeah shankland would cost a lot, but him, dessers n van veen would do a lot of damage n score a barrell load

N could really swing it our way.

Was just talking to a friend this morning about this rumour and he is of the opinion that it is a non starter. Was in great form st motherwell but disaster since leaving.
Other comments he made were Rae is talking up McKenna. Would be signed on pre contract but would only come up now if Davies departs in January. My personal opinion is he has developed into s solid natural left sided CB and would do well for us. He is also homegrown.
We are looking at 3 players for January. My friend thinks loans with option to buy. He also says we have been talking about making Sima move permanent but fee could be an issue. He says at least 2m difference.

Van Veen will score goals for us but if he’s coming in he has to play, he’s not an impact player from bench type. His all round game is good and will surprise a few if he signs. Good for short term imho.
