Without getting into the ‘these two cost us the league on their own debate’. Not sure there’s enough out there that Gerrard is actually wanting them. I don’t think he’s got mega bucks like the PIF clubs but his signings last year were around the bracket we’d be wanting for them.
Just looking forward to the posters who would ‘walk them to the airport’ start demanding big bucks for them. What I would say is, if we’re losing these two. We need to lose them asap and bring in replacements.

Walter he is a machine but he has lost a yard or two this season and not tracking back enough or putting effort into tracking back amount of times I’ve shouted look at him jogging back is ridiculous
He’s been a great servant but unfortunately not been successful as we all wish he had been
Time for him and Goldson to go so we can move on and move forward as a club

For me tavs decline in fitness started three seasons ago, against sport science advice he went trained in Dubai, remember the pictures dragging tractor tyres around.
The following season he went with his brother and Lowry. Yes, he looks great and ripped but has dropped off considerably on pace, something he was never overly blessed with. Once u lose pace very difficult to get it back imo.

Everyone was expecting fees but I thought it was obvious they would walk for nothing and both did.
Guys in here like to big up the management/ directors of rangers in here but truth is they are asleep at the wheel just look at the team that had run to Europa final and how many of them walked away for nothing or reduced fee only really bassey was a success and that had more to do with gio than them.

I agree with you John, Tav did start to decline when he bulked up over that summer.
The other thing for me that has caused him to decline is the amount of games he has played. Think that eventually catches up on you unless your a CH or DM.
I think Tav has been an excellent player for us and most of the criticism he gets is unwarranted. However I am now in the Tav out brigade for 2 reasons.
One is his drop in levels last couple of years, the other is I am actually fed up watching him put in poor performances.
Very similar to Goldson, thanks and best wishes but time to go.
