Yeah. It's sad that he didn't cut it here. Injury was so poorly timed (how many times have we said that). We have too many 10s at the present. Cantwell, Lammers (9 really), Lowry, Lawrence, Dowell.
I am for keeping Cantwell as his value is low currently, and he is the best of the bunch. Get rid of the rest, bring in new players and see if Cantwell can do enough to raise his value for a sale in the future.

I think it's the right move for him. As much as I like him as a player I don't think he's what we need at this point.
Interesting to see how many folks on here (not necessarily in this thread, just overall) think Cantwell should stay as he's a top player and Hagi should go, when Hagi outperformed Cantwell in every metric in his first full season, never had to be hooked for throwing a strop when asked to play out of position and was always all about team over self.
IMO (and the numbers back this too) Hagi in his 18 months pre injury did far more for us than Cantwell has in his 18 months.
No surprise then that I think it's time for both to move on.

If he’s fit then PC might give him a chance and might feel he can get a tune out him. There’s a player in there somewhere so who knows? If a decent bid comes in he’s off though.

I don't think Hagi jr has any sort of ego, he's always spoke very well and seemed level headed and switched on whenever he's spoken, it's Hagi sr that's ran his mouth claiming the boy is better than he probably is, if an offer comes that matches the clubs value then we sell and reinvest.

Hagi’s injury was worse than most realise. The lad missed 18 months of football and said himself he was struggling to catch up with everyone else. Beale put him out for a full season to get his fitness and form back but he just cannot hold down a place for a Spanish club. Nobody will take a risk on Hagi until they know how much this injury has actually taken out of him. He’ll need to be loaned out again but at a lower level this time.
Rangers start next season with major European qualifiers, Cup games, Old Firm matches, etc. We won’t be able to give the lad the minutes he needs.

Hagi doesn’t have the pace to be a 10. I thought he looked really good in the friendlies last year playing as an 8. But didn’t get a chance to play there in any competitive matches. Good luck to the lad and wish him the best.

Hagi was lettuce and a slow one at that . Lammers is scoring in a far better league than we are in, he's a 6'3" centre forward and appreciated as that now where he is .

Really hope Cantwell is gone this summer. Dancing and shushing crowds after a goal in a dead rubber after bottling the league was enough for me and shows just how out of touch he is.
Kissing the badge is just his way of keeping the fans on side when he knew Clement wasn’t having any of it. He has no idea what this club is about and what it takes to win, more concerned with his own self serving nonsense and cryptic social media petulance. We need more guys like Sterling in this summer, good attitude, hard working for the team and fights for everything.

I think hagi has great ability, he's the one player that can split defences with passes that other players won't even attempt, I'd love him to be given a chance with Clement, he's very rarely played the no10 role at rangers, he was always stuck out rw which isn't his position, bring him back and let him fight for the chance.

Lol I said to everyone here about lammers being played outta position and even pointed everyone to his ranger interview early on and was rubbishd on here by most of the posters.
He was not given a fair chance to settle but I do still think he’s maybe just a little soft for Scottish football no shame in that tougher players have came to Scotland and found out the hard way which others on here don’t seem to learn that just because you played at a higher level or championship player doesn’t mean your going to quote. Players like Bassey and Sterling prove physicality and hard work go a long way in Scottish football. We only have Sterling because Beale knew him from their time working together at Chelsea. We got very lucky.
