Silva been given the 7 shirt according to the clubs website. anyone in the know as to whether Hagi is getting shifted out on loan again/ sold? Bit of an odd thing to do when he's still our player.

Think he is a thanks for what you done kid and good luck.

2.) 28 Dec 2023 23:07:43
We got a decent loan fee for Hagi for a full season. I’d think he’ll either return or be sold in the summer. #7 is otherwise unassigned.

3.) 28 Dec 2023 23:24:20
Hagi is away on loan all season already so the number 7 was free anyway. Having said that, wouldn’t be surprised if he is sold but that would likely be in the summer (unless we managed to shift him now but that’s unlikely)

4.) 28 Dec 2023 23:38:25
I think this boy will rip up the spl.

5.) 28 Dec 2023 23:46:01
Hagi is on loan til Summer and Silva is here til Summer. If Hagi is coming back then the number will be free when he returns.

6.) 28 dec 2023 23:56:00
hagi was never going to hold down a place in the team, had years of occasional decent 45, nit fast enough nor good enough sadly.

7.) 29 Dec 2023 00:02:11
It’s a loan til the end of the season and Hagi is out on loan til the end of the season. There’s no link between the number Fabio has been given and Hagi’s future as they won’t be at the club together. I must say though I cannot see Hagi being a rangers player beyond the summer.

8.) 29 Dec 2023 00:40:47
Well Hagi is on loan for the season and Silva is here for the rest of the season. Silva won’t be staying so the 7 will be free as of the summer and that’s when Hagi’s loan is up so I wouldn’t read too much into that.

9.) 29 Dec 2023 00:41:38
Or it could mean he's not going to be recalled nothing more than that as he is not here for potentially the rest of the season.

10.) 29 Dec 2023 00:44:48
Sold hopefully to pay for a position we need.

11.) 29 Dec 2023 01:10:52
He's on loan to the end of the season and we lost likely will not be signing Silva anyways since there's no buy clause. Don't think hagi has a recall.

12.) 29 Dec 2023 04:48:51
Silva's out of our price range, doubt we could afford his transfer fee, on top of his wages and still be able to buy Sima.
Hagi is doing well in the spanish premier league, playing regularly, fully fit and back to his old self after his long term lay off and brutal injury, been a long hard recovery for Ianis.
Scored twice for Alaves in a recent Copa del rey game, Back in the Romanian national side and scoring for them as well.
Definitely not good enough for rangers, would be daft to have one of the SPFL's best assisters in recent years back in our side, especially when we have Lammers and Cantwell both absolutely killing it in the 10 position lol.
Hagi's loan was another silly decision of beale's.

No doubt we will sell him for a big loss, just as he is coming into his prime at 25.

13.) 29 dec 2023 05:43:31
lammers and dessers are a big part of a rangers team right on celtics tail, won the first cup of the season, and into last 16 in europe, just saying like

hagi wasnt good enough fir years, maybe you hadnt noticed he was in an out the team like a soor ploom, hagis loan was the best thing that could have happened ti him and rangers imo.

14.) 29 Dec 2023 06:04:23
No one mentioned Dessers though lol
at least he is scoring once in while, but we all know if Danilo was fit. Dessers would barely play, same if Hagi wasn't loaned out there is no way Clement would pick lammers over Hagi, PC is well aware of Hagi's qualities he knows him well from Hagi's time in the belgian league, more thatn likely rangers are honouring the loan period.
I highly doubt PC would have loaned Hagi out.
anyway main thing is we are doing very well since PC came in and no one wold have thought in the short time our new manager has been at the club, we would be breating down there neck, won our first cup of the season, and finish top of our europa group.
a tidy win on the 30th will end the year on a mighty high ;D.

15.) 29 Dec 2023 07:49:41
Hagi is free to find another club.

16.) 29 Dec 2023 08:44:52
Hagi isn’t good enough and I don’t get why people want him back as it’s the same people that said he wasn’t good enough 1st time.

18 games for them 2 assists 2goals oh aye he is ripping it up over their.

17.) 29 Dec 2023 08:48:38
Great potential loan signing but does anyone else worry that he'll be guaranteed game time every week whether he hits the ground running or not? Dessers coning onto a game, can you imagine if he's dropped for an unknown and they don't deliver?

18.) 29 Dec 2023 09:48:41
Can't believe folk are suggesting lammers is better than Hagi. I'd put lammers out on loan and bring Hagi back.

19.) 29 Dec 2023 11:22:22
55 to bring hagi back it would cost us money and he is our player it would be bad business.

20.) 29 Dec 2023 13:05:57
First thing I think we should all be asking is

Is hagi better than lammers?

Is he better than Wright?

There’s other players we should be getting rid of first.

21.) 29 Dec 2023 13:16:05
No the bad business was spending money on Lammers to replace Hagi in the 1st place.

22.) 29 Dec 2023 17:16:25
Gofor don’t disagree. But other clubs don’t want them, there is interest in hagi.

23.) 01 Jan 2024 12:44:17
Bit of a shame in my opinion. Granted Ianis hasn't really fit into how Beale wanted to play, Gio was working him into the centre of midfield rather than playing as a 10 eh. Then the injury happened. Then we are stuck with deadwood brought in by that havk Wilson and Beale’s ideals.

Was kinda hoping he'd have been assesed by the new manager before he was shipped off.

Has anyone heard anything on Tuanzebe?

Im sure i read somewhere he'd had a trial with us. Seems like the sort of signing we'd be going for at the moment as well, certainly would bring some more competition at CB and experience playing in Europe too.

not sure myself mate, but i'm sure he was a name from another imposter from the darkness.

2.) 20 Aug 2023 21:36:15
Injury prone.

3.) 20 Aug 2023 21:54:30
Meant to be signing wi Luton town, would have been a good signing too.

4.) 20 Aug 2023 22:25:43
Somebody said on here he was playing in a bounce game not sure if he did though.

5.) 20 Aug 2023 22:32:11
That was all just nonsense made up by a nonsense poster who was found out and is no more.

6.) 21 Aug 2023 00:00:48
It was posted by we are ready.
I remember this cause it’s a player I was going on and in about all summer. Asked John as a Man Utd fan and asked the Ed aswell.
The bounce game thing wasn’t true mate and in fact I do t even think we played a bounce game on said night.

7.) 21 Aug 2023 07:12:01
My info, never had a game with us, as some says has been training with Luton for a month.

8.) 21 Aug 2023 10:08:48
2 EPL Clubs in for him. Cam afford the wages he'll demand.

9.) 21 Aug 2023 13:04:08
Supposedly training with Luton and has been giving a personal training plan to try to prevent repetition of injury problems . Sounds as if he has a problem that can`t be cured . Best to avoid him if that's the case.

Zikos… we’re a very different setup to what signed him.

New board, new manager 3x over. he's missed a year through an injury that ended the careers of (no disrespect to him) much better players.

In an ideal world he’d have hit that threshold under gio, we’d have had 2 years worth of champs lge group money and that €1.4m would be pocket change.

As we stand, the spl get one champs lge spot (next year going through qualifiers) because of the other lot phoning it in, in any game that matters and taking the money. i'm not defending the club on this, we made a deal, we need to keep it. Sidelining a player because u don't want to pay a couple of mil over the next year or so is ridiculous. When that player will walk for free as a result.

Scout…. what about our club in the years since we returned to the top division suggests we’ve learned from our mistakes? Cantwell has talent, but there's a reason he never got that supposed 30m move to liverpool. i'm still sat here cursing the day we sacked gio with Wilson and the board favouring players who ran off on bosmans. Shouldve telt Wilson to gehte**** and let the manager get on with it. Rather than spaff 20m up the wall sacking gio and letting Beale loose on the clubs finances.

Its painful to say it, but we are going to be lucky to get 2m between Hagi and Cantwell at this rate. One wants to stay and play (but can't because we appear to not want to honour his contract), the other (whatever his reasons) doesn't want to play for the club. All the while their values are plummeting. I find the Hagi situation deeply concerning, we’d have been better playing and paying him to put him in the shop window if the board were concerned imo. We knowingly gave him that contract while he was injured…. why?

And that's all aside the fact that i'm one of the apparent few (including his national team coach) that rate him.

All good an well saying we’ve had Tav’s best years and its time to move on….
Whos taking the set pieces? The only player left that strikes a dead ball decently is rotting in the B-team due to appearance related contract clauses. (unless Cerny’s capable? )

Sure Tav going might make us 5m now in saved wages and transfer fees…. But you can kiss goodbye to any europa run and probably a crack at the champs league qualifiers next year. We’ll lose a lot more than 5m missing out on that.

As much as i’d love to see Hannibal come to Ibrox, i can't see us ever being able to afford him. 1 year left on his deal if Man Utd truly want shot of him they're going to want at least 4m (hes valued about 8m according to transfermarkt) .

Hed likely want to come in on higher wages than every midfielder in our squad, worth it yes. But we've just spent the summer shedding salaries for a reason.
