Expect to see signings over the next week or 2 a centre half and a striker, warburton know what needs to be done its about getting the players he wants big season for him to stake his place in rangers history if we can take the league surely chapping at Kings door to get 2 more quality players in.

boabt78

1.) 17 Aug 2016 12:20:39
Well Warburton has told us he is trying to bring in two more players so unless you have some info on who they are then what's the rumour here?

2.) 17 Aug 2016 12:33:50
The transfer window closes in 2 weeks time and warbs has said he's seeking both these positions. We're also openly pursuing players in each of these positions, this is fact not a rumour.

3.) 17 Aug 2016 14:10:25
Lol its all over the media we are in for Lescott, Garner and have Senderos on trial, so this is hardly .

Unless of course you have been living under a rock or indeed just like to state the obvious, either way youve given me a chuckle so cheers bud :)

10 Dec 2015 17:54:55
A friend of my dad's who likes a pinch of sodium chloride told him that naismith could sign in January because naismith has told RM he wants to leave if he is not required at Everton and Rangers is where he wants to go? seems weird when Norwich bid for him in the summer? Will Everton want us to pay his full value considering they got him on the cheap?

boabt78

1.) 10 Dec 2015 18:55:11
Boabt78, Everton got him from us for nothing,

2.) 11 Dec 2015 08:32:32
There's no way we're getting him just now. Apart from fan base who don't want him and the large wage packet, he was to play for Scotland and won't if he is in championship just now!

3.) 11 Dec 2015 10:57:29
I'd rather we signed Charlie Nicholas from sky sports.

4.) 11 Dec 2015 11:45:04
its obvious that naismith would do a job for us. but do we need him?

i would trust in the new efforts we have put in place to actually go out and scout new exciting talent and bring them in to develop in to good players for us,

whats the point in scouting if we are just waiting for every ex player who are winding down there carrers to come crawling back and obliterate a sensible wage structure

we have the facilities and management to do this don't you agree?

5.) 11 Dec 2015 12:59:22
I agree for the most part with tiny vinyl but he's only 29 I think. I don't think he falls in to he winding down his career boat. He'd be brilliant up here but way out of our range so it's a non starter.

6.) 11 Dec 2015 12:06:01
apparently, Alex Neil told this to his cousin (salina?) and naismith might have been in Glasgow yesterday? sir davey could be the one to bring him back.

7.) 11 Dec 2015 14:17:45
i see your point there mate

i actually thought he was 31 for some reason

anyway that said. let's get fresh talent in, there's plenty out there and we should have the men in place now to make it work for us.

another quick point. I've been following the loan players and they arre not getting the minutes first expected?

would they be better of being called back to spend time with our squad under the tuition of W&W with the facilities at murray park than warming the benches of teams around the country. then having a pre season that would be in syncwith the current playing style rather than coming back and let be honest being miles behind the other lads?

8.) 11 Dec 2015 15:01:39
I've said before Naismith was quality for us and yes I was peed off with the way things went down with the sevco interview but could he do a job for us? Absolutely, but let's have it right. Norwich had a bid of 8 million turned down. Whether it was the player or the club even half of that is out of the question so enough said as far as I'm concerned troops. Also RIP arnie peralta.

9.) 12 Dec 2015 17:01:00
half. we could not pay three hundred thousand, let's get real.

10.) 12 Dec 2015 17:46:25
Boab, Naismith was in Glasgow to give out charity meals, nothing else.

11.) 12 Dec 2015 19:00:00
BOAB

'Sir Davey' was the one who encouraged him to jump ship in the first place -well before sh** hit the fan. Neither of them did us a favour.

12.) 12 Dec 2015 23:49:20
Boab78 I was just having a wee look at the site across town, seems somebody else likes sodium chloride, aye, would you believe that, seems he is saying over there that Naismith is going to sign for the East Enders, you wouldn't know anything about that would you?

13.) 13 Dec 2015 08:35:24
Personally I would like to see Naismith back at Rangers and while I hear all the comments about cost etc., Naismith might just surprise us. For me that would be a pleasant thought. He is everything that we need in an attacking midfield player and everything that we don't have a t present. He can run at defences, he can track back, he can score goals and he has maturity. He also gives 90 minutes. There is no one like that at Rangers these days.

Yes, Naismith and others faced criticism for leaving but if I am honest, after one season under McCoist I would have been looking to leave as well! Why on earth that guy was ever given the job of manager is beyond me. It certainly wasn't because of his coaching skills!

14.) 13 Dec 2015 11:51:32
Major blue that was kind of the point I made without being an idiot about it.

15.) 13 Dec 2015 19:57:55
Wouldn't be surprised about Naismith going to them. THEY have a habit of doing these kind of things with signings.

16.) 14 Dec 2015 14:46:06
I'd have to agree with that one, if he doesn't go to Norwich then I'm sure he will end up at Celtic. He's already endeared himself to the celadon's with his, 'rangers are dead' nonsense.

Bitterness aside he would be a good signing for us as he is in a different league to anyone we have are are getting linked with. But we can't afford his wages or the transfer fee or any of his nonsense.

17.) 14 Dec 2015 23:53:29
Luigi if we couldn't afford his wages then the east enders have no chance of paying his wages fact, they've been downsizing for three seasons.

10 Dec 2015 03:32:22
James tavernier to leave Rangers in January and sign for Middlesbrough?

boabt78

1.) 10 Dec 2015 13:41:57
Why?
Sorry but it's the only response I could think of to such a stupid suggestion.

2.) 10 Dec 2015 13:43:02
Ps. Not having a go at you 78 by the way!

3.) 10 Dec 2015 16:09:15
I'm a bit confused to why Tav is being linked to Middlesbrough? Nsue has done pretty well at Right back for them so far why change that?

4.) 10 Dec 2015 13:21:43
Cant see it boabt78. tavernier here for champions league football.

5.) 10 Dec 2015 13:32:54
Boat 78 I find that hard to believe matey as any fee been mentioned? Plus why would he step down so far he would be looking to forward his career surely.

6.) 10 Dec 2015 13:58:10
Seriously doubt it, he has shown a lot going forward but has a lot of work to do to improve his defending, which is poor.

The lad himself has stated he's happy to be getting regular football, can't see him taking risk of moving clubs.

7.) 10 Dec 2015 14:48:22
Friend told me last night there is interest from championship teams one of them being Middlesbrough.

8.) 11 Dec 2015 00:15:52
A load of nonsense, no one is going anywhere.

{Ed033's Note - Right, you've heard it. No one leaves Rangers until eezyeez says so. :)

07 Jun 2014 09:05:27
heard fulham are looking at wallace would hate to see him go on the cheap future captain stood by us all the way

boabt78

1.) 07 Jun 2014 15:05:30
could this be the club trying force the lad out the door as they are short on cash

2.) 07 Jun 2014 18:51:42
i doubt fulham are in for wallace for me he is the best left back in the country some may think that's biased given the level he is playing at now but I don't see any other in his position who is better maybe robertson is close from dundee united and I have also met him and I know he is the type of person who won't be forced out of the club he loves playing for us and it will need to be a very big offer to tempt him away and that is certainly not fulham no disrespect to the cottagers.

3.) What are they looking at? DVDs

4.) @2 The Board accept the offer not the player

5.) 08 Jun 2014 15:59:40
we know the board accept the offer I ain't stupid but the player does not have to go simply because the board accept a bid. unless lee is told by ally he can go then he won't go unless it is a top epl side and that is fact.

26 Mar 2014 09:40:42
Heard we could get Darren fletcher on a free contract in the summer

boabt78

1.) Haha ed this has to be the most funniest and also most stupid rumour I have heard in years. for one he must be on at least 40 grand a week 2 is he even out of contract in the summer. 3. why would he come to rangers when he could get in most premiership teams. 4 we need to be worrying about still having a club and players to support never mind bringing players in.

i think that's that nonsense rumour put to bed with the rest of them.

2.) 26 Mar 2014 13:23:00
Ally could pick lads at amateur level who would do a better job than that lump of wood daly!

3.) Another put to sleep during nine in a row brought back on hogmanay been blotto ever scince

4.) @ op do you want fries with that whopper there's more chance of ally actually doing walking away

5.) Ha ha ha more chance of us getting Jessica fletcher.

6.) I heard it was Norman Stanley Fletcher (Porridge) who was coming. not Darren.
Nice rumour though, brings a smile to our faces as a rumour should. he he he he

7.) Heard it was Darren Jackson, Ally reckons he could get 2 or 3 seasons out of him. One for the future, of course.

odemwingie? Could do a job in Scotland not got a club at the moment definitely worth looking at need more quality up top.

boabt78

1.) 08 Oct 2016 06:05:33
35? Prob only gt another year out him if he's not already done in. And even at tht prob gt injured known our luck lol.

26 Sep 2016 18:05:44
Some people asking for warbs to go are crazy. ok we got done but surely u could see we were the better team. Aberdeen have had the same spine of the team since we left our boy have had 10+ new players, yeah results haven't been what they should but it take time and we will finish 2nd can't wait to see what Aberdeen do a Ibrox?

We took the game to them on there own patch should have been 2 up at half time. Been a hectic few weeks for the player time to kick on and get behind the team.

boabt78

1.) 26 Sep 2016 18:58:12
I remember time after time in the 1990s Celtic would have more possession than us and create more chances and their fans were quick to point out how good it was to see the type of football Tommy Burns had them playing.

Personally I preferred the fact that we beat them again and again. 4 times in the same season if I remember correctly.

2.) 27 Sep 2016 14:44:14
in the 90's rangers had a world class team and I can't remember them being at our level at all naz .

what I remember was a great footballing side with the best players in the country running a mock over the season and being the better team by a good distance!

I honestly don't remember celtic playing better football that rangers through the 90's no chance.

02 Sep 2016 23:35:00
With all he players that left at the start of the season surely it freed up a lot of wages to sign the players that came in on free transfers? So if that's true we must be running a hell of a loss atm.

King promised us money would be available in January last year to buy premiership quality players never happened. Starting to doubt King more and more he also said we would have a team to challange Celtic. hasn't happened after Celtics poor season last year I thought we would have been much closer to them. we could have spent 4-5 mill on transfer to give ourself that top team again but never happened.

ok people will say King has turned us round fair play he has but on lies we need investment king and co said they had it but clear to see we don't struggled to get moh never mind players to compete in Europe.

boabt78

1.) 03 Sep 2016 00:42:30
Boabt78, How much closer could we get? we are sitting right behind them, we have yet to play them, the season has barely started, maybe you think charlie bhoy was the better option?

2.) 03 Sep 2016 05:55:18
Boab Warbs has said before that if he sees a player who will add value on and off the park he will approach the board. Warbs obviously feels the players he recruited are of a good enough standard. He has went to King and whatever money has been granted. Hardly Daves fault he isn't in charge of player recruitment. 11 new bodies in its only the start of the season have a word pal we will come good.

3.) 03 Sep 2016 09:18:48
We've spent about 4-5 million, i'd say even more closer to 6-7.

Honestly the fans that say we've spent nothing are just being daft.

Free transfers aren't free at all, you pay a sign on fee to the player, agent fees usually, then you have wages and bonus' in contracts this all costs money.

We've paid money for players too, garner, dodoo, rossiter, crooks and windass.

So your point is invalid and i'd really wish people would stop saying we haven't spent any money. We've put a good lot in to see if we can mount a challenge, 4 games in is hardly the tale of the season.

4.) 03 Sep 2016 11:27:33
see if ohalloran, Barton, kranjcar, garner, senderos etc. aren't seem as premiership quality players to you I would hate to think what you do actually think is.

5.) 03 Sep 2016 11:36:43
Guy, we need to be careful here's or we're going to win the "thickest football fans in Scotland" trophy.

Opinions are great but at least have a sniff at the facts before slagging off the board, the team, the manager and the players.

Would love to see a few more tabs on here listing all the negative predictions, positive predictions etc so we can all be ridiculed which ever way it goes.

28 Jun 2016 17:56:50
These big signings are a great for Scottish football brilliant to see us moving forward instead of backward, I would have laughed if you said we would get Barton and they would get dembele we needed a real goal scorer before this but now it's a must waggy is not a out and out goalscorer.

boabt78

1.) 28 Jun 2016 20:00:29
Still think we need a centre back with pace who can sit in and sweep behind Kiernan or hill who have the height we need to be the ball winner in the air. Also a pacey forward to run at defenders and can finish as well. Obviously our cash is limited but if we are willing to hit the lower leagues in England then I'm sure we could do the same in France, Germany etc and not just be constantly linked with players Warbs or Mcpaland know and have worked with before.

2.) 28 Jun 2016 22:19:33
Crooks will be our CB nxt to Hill me thinks lads.

12 Jun 2016 11:07:52
Hope the rumours are false with mw been class from the day he arrived but let's not forget no man is bigger than Rangers. Yes since he arrived he's worked wonders but rangers have done the same for him gave him the chance to build from scratch at one of the biggest teams in Europe I appreciate all he has done but he got sacked from Brentford would prolly be managing a bottom end championship team atm. Great manager but seen a rumour he wasn't happy a while ago on here would like to see him be more loyal never tells a reporter he not interested in jobs he been linked with in the past just say it flattering.

boabt78

1.) 12 Jun 2016 13:51:36
Mark Warburton did not get sacked from Brentford, he left due to his chairman there not backing his ideas for taking the club forward.

{Ed001's Note - actually he left because the chairman wanted to use statistical data to do all the recruiting, whereas Warburton wanted to actually watch the players play as well. Bentham (the Brentford owner) wanted to use the club, like his Danish one, as a proving ground for his stats analysis company.}

2.) 12 Jun 2016 14:13:34
Cheers ed I knew he wasn't sacked.

{Ed001's Note - they actually parted on good terms, despite the disagreement.}

You joking 1 mill we need to be looking at at least 5 for tav people seem to give him stick for his defending but the boy the best wing back we've had going back to gio got pace to burn not bad crosser of the ball, links up well with forward players and got a wond of a right foot he will only get better in his defending got plenty of time to improve.

Lafferty would do the job guys we lack someone like him up top with waggy out we definitely need someone with a bit of quality scores goal in big games, give him a year to show what he can do with the option of an extension of warbs could get the best out of him then we'll a good player.
