No Goldson today. Is he injured or dropped?

Struth1872

1.) 11 Nov 2018 15:09:29
Dropped rested same ting.

2.) 11 Nov 2018 16:50:47

Morelos agent supposedly flying in as rangers look to tie him down to a longer term contract. Good plan if you ask me as it can only increase his value if he continues to perform.

Struth1872

1.) 14 Feb 2018 12:51:23
Heard that aswell

2.) 14 Feb 2018 15:57:01
Apparently his agent said that the Chinese hold all the cards and if they improve their wage he'll jump ship, not sure if that's true.

3.) 14 Feb 2018 16:32:53
In the observer today it said that rangers are offering him a decent offer doesn't state how much or how long it's just says that he not going to China he wants England and wants to improve with his English but paper will write anything to get a sale

4.) 14 Feb 2018 17:12:03
I don’t see how China hold all the cards, he’s still under contract for two seasons

5.) 14 Feb 2018 17:50:19
He will sign improved 4 year and has been told we will develop a pathway for him to move to EPL and Colombian international. In the pathway he will move to England for a substantial fee in summer 2019.

6.) 14 Feb 2018 17:53:59
No way we will offer him more than the Chinese english or turkish teams per week. If they want him he will go.

7.) 14 Feb 2018 19:18:32
He’s in a reported £7k per week from £1k he earned in Finland. I can see him signing an improved contract on £15k for additional year or 2 giving him a 3-4 year deal probably with certain release clauses that suits both parties in the region of £15m.
This is only an opinion though nothing more. I bumped into him and his dad today in Silverburn his English was far better than when I met him at Ibrox in September, he was really happy and replied with nae bother when we asked for a picture, Alfredo senior took it for us as well

8.) 14 Feb 2018 21:03:08
If he said “nae bother” that’s a good sign although would have preferred “nae bother wee (big) man”.

9.) 14 Feb 2018 23:28:46
Exactly govanfront7. China are holding no cards whatsoever.

10.) 14 Feb 2018 23:33:02
It's not totally up to him though cfbear. He's under contract with Rangers. These clubs can't offer him anything until they've had a transfer bid accepted that's too good for Rangers to refuse

11.) 15 Feb 2018 08:03:52
£15m release clause? That’s pure fantasy if you think he will go for that

12.) 15 Feb 2018 08:48:05
ArthurD, agreed should be higher than £15 million.

13.) 15 Feb 2018 16:45:32
Arthur d that is a sell out clause to protect player if a club he wants to go to and they want to match the number then it allows player to leave and club can't stop it, when we sell we'd better have a percentage of sell on clause also.

14.) 16 Feb 2018 01:22:50
ffs is this for real?

23 Dec 2017 22:45:53
Folks, what's the thoughts on what I've been told. My father in law was at a charity do the other week and the goalie was there who my father in law got talking to and apparently once Mike Ashley sells Newcastle, he's going to buy rangers as he and DK are on amicable terms now. I know many will say they don't want him near the club, however after another gutless, leaderless, clueless display today coupled with the court ruling that DK has to make an £11 million share offer and he's already stated he can't afford it where do we go from here? We've taken 2 months to appoint an under 20's coach who's tactical knowledge is limited to say the least, players who just aren't good enough but we paid a fortune for and can't afford to get rid of them. Should we take Mike Ashley's money or be happy with mid table mediocrity for years to come?

Struth1872

1.) 24 Dec 2017 00:45:11
Mike Ashley does what ever he has to in order to get the best deal for him and his company. A lot of rangers fans hate him for being able to get the deal he did. Good business though for him. Ultimately Ashley has very deep pockets and if his intimate goal is to get his brand in Europe he could do that relatively cheaply with Rangers. The last Rangers team that won the league was put together for 22.5 million if I’m correct. Could be wrong but it wasn’t far off it. If he wants to invest and it leads to better quality of player and better leadership from above then why not. Can’t be worse than what’s going on right now

2.) 24 Dec 2017 01:02:48
Lol said it months ago ass ley buying king out

3.) 24 Dec 2017 01:19:51
The goalie will spout any old nonsense to anyone who's willing to buy him a drink.

Ashley can do one, I don't have a short memory.

4.) 24 Dec 2017 10:14:42
Why do people keep going on about Ashley wanting to get his brand in Europe? You do realise he could just sponsor the shirt of another league winner, it's not expensive! Unlike buying and running a club. We can't allow another owner to come in and not have Rangers interests at heart, we need to learn to live within our means, that shouldn't mean we have to watch dross week in week out, it just means we have to run our club more efficiently.
Any manager coming in will still have the second largest in the league and should be able to challenge Celtic. They are not that great as their performances in Europe have shown.

5.) 24 Dec 2017 11:36:21
Well said zikos
I've been saying the same for years but most fans want us to run before we can walk. I might take time but we will get there. Most fans prise this board but what have they actually done (apart from some putting their hands in their pockets which we all appreciate) . They got rid of Ashley (at a price) but gave us the 2 worse managers in our history. What's their plans for our commercial department. Will they open stores, have a distribution network and storage Or go back to Ashley or AN Other and try and get the 7p in the £ up to 9p and claim a other wonderful victory for the board.

6.) 24 Dec 2017 13:58:25
Funny how people still think he will invest in the clubs he has owned. Everything he allegedly puts in are just interest free loans. Look at the Newcastle deal. Total deal is 330 million and 180 mill are to pay back the interest free loans. Seems weird that given all the money from the perm and I parachute payments that he would have to put loans in. Clear as day he has been withdrawing this cash and running the club in interest free loans (which he ll get back) seems a bit familiar with the 500k payment for the loan of the Newcastle 5 right after we got 500k for McLeod!

7.) 24 Dec 2017 21:01:30
Be careful what you wish for. Yes he could pump in millions, but at what cost? Renaming stadiums, merchandising, selling training complex. who knows.

Is this acceptable if we win league and have a good team on the park?

8.) 25 Dec 2017 15:16:39
This Ashley thing is rubbish, getting his brand across Europe, first after Brexit it won't matter about selling into Europe, second Champions League have I think five main sponsors who advertise at their games all other sponsors are covered up on these nights as has happened at Ibrox when we last played in Europe, so any Sports Direct signs would not be allowed to appear during these games, remember the mess he left Newcastle in I'm afraid there is no sugar daddy we had one chance to build a team this board blew it, employed two dud managers gave them millions to spend and we have a team full of duds .

Now we have Murty who has been hung out to dry by this inept board we needed a man in who would drag this club up by its shoe laces just like Sounnes did all those years ago forget he had a huge budget I'm talking about presence about a man the players feared a Jock Wallace a man who would have stripped the paint off the dressing room walls after our recent results Murty is an U20s coach he is out of his depth.

I'm not having a go at him in fact I feel sorry for him he could not turn the job down now he is the man in front of the cameras taking all the flack for the boards mistakes will they hide in their dark tower releasing daft statements criticising people who said no to their job, they should look at themselves in the mirror and ask how long can we keep making a complete mess of this club before the fans walk.

I've supported this club for nearly forty years I've seen less than ten thousand at games so please don't give me we don't do walking away I've sat their when fans had walked so we are in a very precarious position here and I really fear for our clubs future unless the board pull some rabbits out of the hat in the Jan transfer window to lift the morale of the fans just let's see the crowd on Wed it may tell us a lot see yous there

Well done Livingston. Let's hope we don't blow it today and get back within 2 points of the top of the league.

03 Nov 2018 13:23:44
Same old same old. Haven't looked like scoring - could play for a fortnight and not score and we should actually be behind. I said after Wed that it would be a long hard season and was accused of negativity. I standby that. There is no urgency to move the ball quickly, everything is pedestrian. Don't think I'll bother with the second half, rather take the dog out and get soaked.

Struth1872

1.) 03 Nov 2018 15:02:22
lol took the dog out got soaked and missed 2 goals and a decent second half bummer huh?

2.) 03 Nov 2018 15:14:42
Agree with Struth1872 about our pace going forward, we look a much better team when we play it faster. They don't seem to have the confidence to do it, the last few matches. Only saw the last 20 minutes today, still have no idea what the second booking was for! and how does el buffalo put those away and miss the sitters?! . He does look sharper around the box lately, has he lost a bit of weight! Onwards and upwards.

01 Nov 2018 18:36:51
Well that's the honeymoon period well and truly over. Think we all need to be realistic about winning anything this year. Hamilton result was flattering, the worst Aberdeen team in years beat us, Celtic were terrible at the start of the season, and yet still beat us, extended their lead over us after last night and are now hitting form while we are struggling, no leadership on the pitch, no creativity, defense appears to be guaranteed to lose at least one every game, no continuity over team selection. Hard season ahead. Not being pessimistic or negative, like to think I'm being realistic.

Struth1872

1.) 01 Nov 2018 19:22:56
But we have done well in Europe, so it's not all bad.

2.) 01 Nov 2018 20:04:44
Do we start Katic v St Mirren?

3.) 01 Nov 2018 23:07:42
Bit harsh mate! Only ten games in. Night and day from last year.

4.) 01 Nov 2018 23:14:17
Aye we should.

5.) 01 Nov 2018 23:18:37
Too right we do, he will give us a threat from a set piece if nothing else. He was shakey against accies I’ll admit but was superb at the start of the season and will benefit with a run in the team, I know he got injured but he was rotated out of form IMO and Worrall has just not been good enough to be guaranteed a start like he has been. We need to ring the changes for Saturday, I’d go:

McGregor
Tav/ Goldson/ Katic/ Halliday
Jack/ Rossiter
Kent/ Arfield/ Grezda
Morelos.

6.) 02 Nov 2018 13:30:13
No, Struth, you're definitely being pessimistic and negative.

31 Oct 2018 20:28:03
What's happened to us defensively. European qualifiers and we were solid but to me we're guaranteed to lose at least one every game now.

Struth1872

21 Oct 2018 16:08:21
4-1 was very flattering. Katic had a nightmare and can see now why Worral starts ahead of him. What is it with our performances on these artificial pitches? It seems we're scared to do anything. Crying out for creative midfielder.

Struth1872

1.) 21 Oct 2018 16:42:46
Katic did have a nightmare but i'm not frightened to point out, so did Tav. 2 penalties doesn't excuse his all round play, his final ball was atrocious. On the other hand Ryan Kent had another good game, his commitment was obvious for all to see.

Think he'll prefer to stay in England but if we're still in Europe it might be tempting for him.

Stubbed his toe on the way back to the dressing room and now out for the season. I wouldn't count on him playing an important part for us this season, but I hope I'm wrong.

The same Michael Stewart who said it was a stone wall penalty when the same happened to Russell Martin last season at Ross County - embarrassing.

When are we ever going to get rid of Ashley and what exactly did we pay for £3 million for? I'm getting sick and tired of hearing his name.

Glad McGregor is back and he's been immense since. However, for me, it's a worry that our goalkeeper is player of the month as what does that say about the rest of the team.

Was at Hampden last night and have to say was very unimpressed with Gordon. McGregor has to be reinstated as no.1.

Does anyone actually know what the hold up is? Is Ashley stalling on submitting his bid or what?
