Wallace had surgery, out for 3-4 weeks, Beerman at left back tomorrow.

1.) 05 Apr 2017 16:24:33
Take it Halliday will be left back in the semi as Wallace is confirmed out.

2.) 05 Apr 2017 19:31:28
Well listening to Pedro it looks like he's a man who gives the youngsters a chance

3.) 05 Apr 2017 19:59:28
Id say hodson at LB even tho he's not naturally left sided but i can't bare the thought of halliday against forrest/ roberts

4.) 05 Apr 2017 20:03:56
Hodson may be back scrojo, plus I know German is young and inexperienced to be put into such a big game but I've heard really good things about him! He does sound like a more attack minded Wing Back so I hope Hodson is available.

5.) 05 Apr 2017 20:34:44
Beerman looks decent

6.) 06 Apr 2017 22:37:36
If Hodson is fit he WILL replace Wallace if not and Beerman plays against Partick AND if he's in the game against the sheep then ye never know Beerman may well stay in but its a big ask but this could be a huge blessing in disguise it could be that we've promoted a Youth player who will have started with some big games early on and if this lad handles it and comes through with pass marks then brilliant! Also about time the lads in the Academy are given a decent chance!

We have top facilities but somehow the players are not been given game time to prove themselves. Even new new Transfers are given 6 months! We always seem to GIVE players away who show themselves to be good players. I know we expect a high level but these lads need time and confidence installed by the Coach.

The mob from the East are bringing some Youth through and we have just a good bunch! Think the unders have reached the Youth Cup Final. So yeah no matter what happens I want to see Beerman AND Bates getting a game and if not they should now be on the bench AND used. Bring the lad Atayaki through then we have our own talent backing up positions right through the team. Hope to see them against Partick!

12 Mar 2017 13:45:30
Not sure whether we should get the Ghana defender as he will have to be at the African Nations Cup, sometimes better steering off African players because of this.

1.) 12 Mar 2017 14:04:27
So going by that teams would never have got players like drogba with that thinking

2.) 12 Mar 2017 14:33:55
Totally agree, January is a critical time of the season to lose a player to the African Cup of Nations.

No comparison with Drogba IMO. Chelsea have a riches of talent to alleviate the loss of Drogba, we do not.

3.) 12 Mar 2017 14:58:00
We never got Drogba mate? But I know what you mean the boy sumalia looks a player

4.) 12 Mar 2017 15:05:21
If the gaffer wants him so do i

5.) 12 Mar 2017 17:15:14
I'm simply using drogba as an example because he's African. The fact is even though he'd be gone in January at least we'd have a better player for the rest of the season when he is available or you could just stick with keirnan for the full season

6.) 12 Mar 2017 19:40:28
All I was saying is Chelsea losing Drogba, City losing Toure or Liverpool missing Mane is less of a problem for they teams than it would be for us, given the resourced they teams have. For us to lose a key player in January would be much more detrimental given our lack of resources.

7.) 12 Mar 2017 20:04:40
Ghana have some squad so he must be a decent player to be in the starting 11.
The maximum time he would be away for The African Nations would be a month and that is providing Ghana reach the final.
If Caixinha rates him then get him signed

8.) 12 Mar 2017 23:19:14
If we were to sign him and then lose him for a short time because of the African cup, so be it, we could sign any player and then lose them for longer through injury.

9.) 13 Mar 2017 19:43:56
listen guys we need big solid fast defenders and africa have them in abundance i'm not saying we should sign both cb's form there but they are much better value for money than buying one from a league one side for the same amount.
i would like to see some more foreigners at our team and i know hyndman was basially invisible yesterday but we got to try get him signed up after this loan spell as he is a great wee playmaker.

15 Feb 2017 10:32:09
Neil Warnock could be a possibility.

1.) 15 Feb 2017 10:52:22
Any of the 30 odd names listed in the odds section is a possibility mate this is hardly a rumour.

2.) 15 Feb 2017 11:10:59
I didn't put it in the rumour section.

10 Jan 2017 15:34:42
Looks like could be good news on Garner, he has a scan tomorrow and there is some movement in his arm/ shoulder already.

1.) 10 jan 2017 16:22:50
sorry mate i've been out of touch what exactly happened to him

2.) 10 Jan 2017 16:37:06
Are you being serious James? He dislocated his shoulder against the persons .

3.) 10 Jan 2017 17:19:47
The persons lol.

4.) 12 Jan 2017 12:38:03
lmao I knew he done his shoulder but didn't know that it was dislocated thought it might have been something more serious.

04 Aug 2016 09:54:27
Reports in the Times we are in talks with Senderos for a 1 year deal.

1.) 04 Aug 2016 10:16:46
Seen this rumour on a few sites already this morning and I don't know about him just yet as been pretty injury prone last 2-3 years but solid enough centre half!

2.) 04 Aug 2016 10:21:19
Would much rather we took Ball on a permanent deal. Spurs willing to sell!

3.) 04 Aug 2016 10:26:00
Why does everyone go on about ball he's a player we had last year in th championship and couldn't hold down a regular place in our team never mind at centre back! Crazy.

4.) 04 Aug 2016 10:26:49
Not sure if he'd be a hit or a Philippe flop.

5.) 04 Aug 2016 10:45:45
Career average 15 games a season. No.

6.) 04 Aug 2016 11:05:41
Would hope we could get better than him. Dnt really rate him at all and really dnt think he is what we need.

7.) 04 Aug 2016 11:52:02
I think Senderos would be a good signing. We need a big strong guy at the back. I also agree with KPnuts10 about Dom Ball. He was decent last year but he would not be a guaranteed first team starter. Someone mentioned on here that he was a fans favourite last season . he wasnt really. Waghorn, Tav, McKay, Holt, Wallace and possibly even Halliday would be considered as fan favourites over Ball any day.

8.) 04 Aug 2016 12:23:03
never heard of him but then again I hadn't heard of waggy tav windass crooks before so i'd be happy is big davie is happy.

9.) 04 Aug 2016 17:07:03
And Senderos was a very good defender with Arsenal and Switzerland, don't know how you can't have heard of him?

10.) 04 Aug 2016 17:32:48
He's played for a few top teams including Arsenal Valencia and AC Milan as well as world cup and euros with the Swiss.

Niko in light training.

1.) 09 Feb 2017 12:47:49
Saw that on the club website, jo scro. Running and kicking a ball which is good to see. Might see him playing again before the almost mythical Jordan Rossi ter! Did you see Davie Weir playing in one of their training games. Maybe he's realised he's no good as a defence coach and needs to start playing again-probably wouldn't be any slower than any of current stalwarts even now!

2.) 09 Feb 2017 12:59:52
Maybe Weir is a micro-manager and it's got to the point where he can't explain it and needs to just show them. Lol.

Looking forward to hearing any good news about Rossiter and to seeing Kranjcar available again.

3.) 09 Feb 2017 13:35:27
It's getting beyond a joke now with the boy rossiter. Players with career threatening injuries have came back quicker. Someone from the club should make a statement letting us know word up after all we were told he was 10 days away from playing that was in October.

4.) 09 Feb 2017 15:08:27
Had a feeling we might see niko back before end of season i'd imagine a couple of weeks of light training and some gym time and if no reaction then he will start a pre season type programme hopefully feature last half dozen games as his class could make difference in tight games

07 Feb 2017 11:36:47
Could Tav play at holding mid?

1.) 07 Feb 2017 11:45:11
In that regard I think Hodson would be a better bet. He's stocky, strong, can tackle, plus he's mobile too.

2.) 07 Feb 2017 12:05:37
We don't have any who is a natural in DM role until Rossiter is fit (whenever that may be) so the obvious solution is to play a formation that doesn't require a DM i. e. 4-4-2 but that would require MW to rip up his philosophy which won't happen

3.) 07 Feb 2017 12:46:21
I would rather see Wilson played as a very deep CDM/ SW and put two up top, allowing us to move between 3 and 5 at the back with attacking wing backs. Only problem with that is it means Kiernan plays.

4.) 07 Feb 2017 13:28:50
I asked that question can Hodson play DM as I think he has the attributes to fill that role.

5.) 07 Feb 2017 14:09:01
I am of the view that until Rossiter is fit we need to change our formation. It might be we need to do that in any event since Garner is more suited to that type of play and deployed alongside either Miller or Dodoo in a 44-4-2 might see him play his normal game.

6.) 07 Feb 2017 14:32:50
We might keep a clean sheet at the back with 44 defenders! lol I think we all agree a change of shape could help a lot of our problems, we are currently so open, so easy to read and to nullify, our poor return of goals is testament to this and our defence plays knowing we'll struggle to score and any mistakes will cost us dearly

7.) 07 Feb 2017 17:20:00
and leave tavanier at right back no thanks!

8.) 07 Feb 2017 19:21:45
I would honestly try Wilson in CDM role.

9.) 08 Feb 2017 02:48:01
if we were to go 4-4-2 Rossiter could still play in that formation yeah?

10.) 08 Feb 2017 11:59:33
Defo not, he can't even defend at right back, but he's great going forward.

11.) 08 Feb 2017 12:38:21
No matter what formation you play you need a dm. If you play a 442 then usually 1 of the cm sits in front of defence.

12.) 08 Feb 2017 14:34:17
TomUSA. Your posts are always spot on mate. I was think about partnership in football over the years. Rush/ dagleish, Yorke/ cole, Sutton/ shearer. Mccoist/ hatley, larsson/ Hartson. Football has changed and I can't even think of any partnerships in Britain as nobody plays 4.4.2 now.

05 Feb 2017 15:24:28
Prediction ror Morton match, we'll win 3-1

1.) 05 Feb 2017 15:56:59
Any win will do.

2.) 05 Feb 2017 16:04:12
If we go behind I can't see us on this form coming back and winning

3.) 05 Feb 2017 18:19:36
2 nil win for morton

4.) 05 Feb 2017 18:22:24
We have the players to win us the game but will Warburton play them and can he and Weir motivate them to play for the jersey!

5.) 05 Feb 2017 18:30:48
I find it hard to believe that rangers fans are doubting a win against morton. Surely things can't be that bad?

6.) 05 Feb 2017 18:39:37
Morton had a blip yesterday but have been scoring goals regularly and are absolutely deadly from set pieces. Forbes' deliveries will cause havoc. I think Morton will win 2-1 as we just don't score goals and can't see us keeping a clean sheet.

7.) 05 Feb 2017 18:40:57
we couldn't beat ross county in 3 attempts, hamilton at home etc think the fans feeling of uncertainty of a result over morton is justified, surely its his last game in the hot seat if we do get beat

8.) 05 Feb 2017 18:40:57
we couldn't beat ross county in 3 attempts, hamilton at home etc think the fans feeling of uncertainty of a result over morton is justified, surely its his last game in the hot seat if we do get beat

9.) 05 Feb 2017 19:07:39
Are we really debating if we can beat morton? c'mon boys bad week but get real

10.) 05 Feb 2017 19:45:59
3-0 Rangers but still think he has to go

11.) 05 Feb 2017 20:19:19
Does anyone think senderos will start against Morton

12.) 05 Feb 2017 22:00:56
Think game will be more straightforward, often works that way when there are doubts about beating a lower team in the cup.

13.) 05 Feb 2017 22:59:55
Who are we to rule out morton? Duffy has them well set up

14.) 05 Feb 2017 23:41:38
@gdawg - you've forgotten we've beat both The Sheep and Jambo's at home.
Easy win for Rangers against Morton.

15.) 06 Feb 2017 00:27:42
Morton will score, we will huff and puff, get a late goal probably from a penalty and win the replay, probably on penalties

16.) 06 Feb 2017 01:02:00
For a start, get Burt on the bench and if we're winning comfortably (! ) give him 20 minutes. Play Hodson, use Toral as holding midfielder and give Dodoo a game. If we can't try these things against Morton and still win with some ease, then we are in real trouble. Instead, though, I think we'll see Halliday and Kiernan back in and that will be it.

17.) 06 Feb 2017 03:34:22
Wee-Icky, I sincerely hope that you are wrong with regards to Halliday and Kiernan. If they both play then it really isn't beyond the realms of possibility that we could lose.

I would go with a 4-4-2
If Warburton and Weir can't motivate the team to go out there and win with goals to spare then they should hang their heads in shame. Maybe they should pick up the phone and ask Gough, Ferguson, Smith or Souness and ask for help!, (and Weir should pick up his jotters)!

18.) 06 Feb 2017 10:25:05
As long as he doesn't deploy hyndman as a defensive mid.

19.) 06 Feb 2017 11:48:10
I think the only way forward for Warburton is to switch the system whether it be a 352 442 or even a 4231 we need to play with 2 midfielders sitting and have a more balanced team. 2 striker would be my preference and dodoo should get a chance. He can't be as bad as what we have seen this year.

20.) 06 feb 2017 11:58:11
i fancy us to beat morton 3-1! put it this way fellow bears, we'll have to beat morton or warbs will lose his job, there and then i feel! this is coming from a bear who has always been behind and backed warburton! i honestly think there's life left in warburton's rangers career yet! that's my honest opinion. funny things can happen in football that swings it the other way, and you don't look back from it! football is most certainly, "a funny old game"!

21.) 06 Feb 2017 13:58:52

Senderos has plenty of experience but if we play him alonguide Hill we lack pace.
Unsure if he will start but it's never easy to predict our starting 11.

22.) 06 Feb 2017 15:50:37
I agree wholeheartedly Tom and I'd still advocate Kenny Miller as player manager with any one of those sterling gentlemen and legends you mentioned operating by his side.

23.) 06 Feb 2017 17:52:44
I agree with you cee! I'd like warbs to try the 4-2-3-1 system! I've always liked that system!

04 Feb 2017 20:17:57
I still feel we missed a trick not getting Lafferty and said so at the time, many disagree but he would have answered our scoring problems to an extent anyway.

1.) 04 Feb 2017 22:24:32
Best striker in the game and we missed out

2.) 04 Feb 2017 23:39:39
He's a lot more than a goalscorer. He's direct big quick and would bring a lot more movement and direct attacks up top.

3.) 05 feb 2017 00:12:03
kyle lafferty is a pollution, end of story! we can get a lot better than that! the guys a total waster who incidentally can't get a regular game with any of the clubs he's played for since he walked out on us, spouting how he was going to sue the club in court! so do me a favour guys, as this character should never be near our football club again!

4.) 05 Feb 2017 09:05:34

At least we can agree about Lafferty. He has done nothing in club football since deserting us and I hope he never comes back

04 Feb 2017 14:24:05
Garner and Senderos in

1.) 04 Feb 2017 14:41:48
Halliday sub, Holt in, Kiernan out of squad.

2.) 04 Feb 2017 15:22:37
Halliday should have been with Kiernan in the strnd, he is a liability on the park and it would be a massive bonus to the opposition if he were to come on as a sub!

3.) 04 Feb 2017 15:28:19
Why is Halliday on the bench?

4.) 04 Feb 2017 16:06:13
Cos he's p1sh tom

Could be something in it as anytime I have seen footage of them in training the players have looked a bit non plussed when Pedro has been talking to them, not much to go on I know but wouldn't surprise me all the same.

I hope he casts his net as wide as he can and gets in some powerful yet skilful players who won't be brushed off the ball, and looks as far as he can, Scandinavia for instance, you always see Ceptic, Hearts etc getting in guys from varied places and they always seem to be pretty powerful and fit into their system. I cast my mind to 6 of our signings from this season and the only one playing regularly is Crooks and it's not even for us.

Not sure I would play Beerman after he got roasted by ROberts, maybe Hodson at left back as long as 5 in midfield and Dodoo.

Pedro said he could see Aberdeen were pushing their full backs further up the pitch so he countered it with the subs and happily it paid off, that's good to see, a manager making a change that comes off.

Maybe Pedro isn't putting his words into a nutshell, it can happen with people not even just foreigners, maybe the 3rd assistant will assist with this always assuming he understands what Pedro's getting at.
