On Sky Sports Regional Paper Talk section the and the Reading Post is linking us with Reading midfielder Liam Kelly. Anyone heard anything about this?

{Ed039's Note - Yes he is a player Warburton likes, he is out of contract at the end of the season and could move under the same circumstances that Rossiter and Dodoo moved)

1.) 16 Nov 2016 20:41:42
Taking into account that frank lampard is now almost at the very end of his career, with his next move obviously not going to be money motivated, do you think there's any chance at all that we could sign frank lampard?

2.) 16 Nov 2016 21:57:32
Nope. And for the reason you put at the beginning of your post. And cash too. Would anyone be willing to take 5% of previous earnings? That being said, you would think that MW will still be looking for the experience in midfield that he was looking for when he signed JB and NK.

Personally, I don't want Rangers to be the vehicle for players to finish illustrious careers. I'd rather it was the club where they started them.

3.) 17 Nov 2016 11:24:02
why do we need a midfielder?
only areas I think we are weak is defence and attack we need a centre back with pace and a poacher to bang the goals in.
if warbs goes for more middle of the park player to sit on the bench because he only plays three in there then sum1 needs to give him a slap.

4.) 17 Nov 2016 11:37:00
Would obviously love Lampard in the team but there's no chance he'll come up here. He'll become a Sky Sports pundit and join up with Carra, Neville, Henry no doubt.

5.) 19 Nov 2016 15:01:47
I see the comments about Red Bull Teams being universally hated, well from what I can see, in today's Scotland, we are universally hated anyway so if we get a sponsor that brings us back to the glory days why not. Personally I don't give a proverbial about the supporters of other Scottish Teams especially those that play in Green!

Doesn't seem to be a popular opinion but I can't understand folk wanting to sell McKay for £700k and buy Dorrans at 30 years old for £1.5M.
Think recruitment's gone really well this summer, my only complaints would be we missed out on a cracking RB in Paterson and I'd 100% want to keep McKay.

McKay is a product of the youth academy, still young at 22, I agree he's got to improve some aspects of his game and become more consistent but he's still a great talent with a lot of potential.

The foreign signings have improved us definitely, but we need to keep some of our home-grown players in the mix to keep an identity and to satisfy squad regulations.

1.) 03 Jul 2017 13:36:13
Dorrans deal isn't for £1.5mil, Mckay WANTS TO LEAVE.

2.) 03 Jul 2017 14:09:52
Dorrans deal is closer to 750k than 1 Mill and McKay wants to leave hence the chasing of Jamie Walker and its no secret heart need cash

3.) 03 Jul 2017 14:24:12
The rangers observer is reporting a deal for good has been reached and its only 750k not the 1-1.5m reported in the sun and the rhebel anyone heard any different

4.) 03 Jul 2017 14:57:41
McKay wants to leave and his warburton security blanket will def be his choice. he also isn't a product of our youth system, he was at killie and was released after an injury when we picked him up

5.) 03 Jul 2017 15:14:55
bluels the colour, you cannot understand why the desire to get cash for Mckay, well others can, won't go on about dodging tackles etc, suffice to say he has been cr. p.

16 Jun 2017 11:15:06
West Ham just released left back Stephen Hendrie. From Glasgow, 22, supposed to be a promising prospect, would be a cracking signing on a free transfer imo. Thoughts?

1.) 16 Jun 2017 11:35:33
West ham, released, free transfer.
You sure it's a good prospect?

2.) 16 Jun 2017 11:44:29
Done ok at hamilton got his big move to west ham but not what rangers need

3.) 16 Jun 2017 14:46:35
Fair play. I think he's better than Hodson, and would be a very good backup to Wallace.

4.) 16 Jun 2017 16:03:48
You think he's better than the International player in Hodson, based on what evidence?

5.) 16 Jun 2017 16:47:11
I've seen both. Hodson's better. That's why west Ham released the boy. It's probably up the road to Partick for him.

6.) 16 Jun 2017 17:19:20
BluelsTheColour, would stick with Beerman all day long as a back up to Wallace.

18 May 2017 08:52:18
Only one positive - Barjonas looks a player. Comfortable on the ball, picks a pass, good positioning. We've been playing without a midfield recently, need to have him starting I think.

1.) 18 May 2017 10:02:28
Build a team around him. Could b our next Barry ferguson

2.) 18 May 2017 10:31:47
I thought Beerman had a great game last night under difficult conditions. Him and Barjonas were two positives to take from the game.

3.) 18 May 2017 10:34:43
Will be interesting to see what happens with him next season as he did look better and more confident last night. If he isn't going to play regular with us next season then I hope he is put out on loan to another premiership team rather than be sent to a struggling championship side

4.) 18 May 2017 11:08:53
I guess it depends on how many players we will see come in over the summer. I hope he gets his chance during pre-season as I wouldn't mind seeing him and Rossiter playing together in that 4-2-3-1 formation. I think young Aiden Wilson looked very good considering he was up against Rooney, who is a big old unit with a lot of pace. I think it was in the first 5mins when he chased down a ball in the corner and I was surprised at how quick he was.

5.) 18 May 2017 13:08:03
Don't think he's quite at "build the team around him" nellylad. But the 3 kids in the back 4 and Barjonas in front of them, they all gave a good account of themselves.

6.) 18 May 2017 13:47:21
nellylad, no pressure on the kid, then? Give yourself a shake.

28 Apr 2017 11:58:41
Best place to watch Old Firm game in Liverpool? Any good Gers supporters pubs?

1.) 28 Apr 2017 12:06:26
Derry social club

2.) 28 Apr 2017 12:56:26
In somebodys livingroom behind there couch

3.) 28 Apr 2017 15:07:43
JLS - do you mean "behind someone's couch" as in - a friends house and its going to be hard to watch - or as in - Creepy weirdo hiding behind a strangers couch sneakily watching the game? because that's not ok! LOL.

4.) 28 Apr 2017 15:26:13
Very revealing Bg. Anything you want to unburden yourself of?

5.) 28 Apr 2017 16:27:50
Would love to unburden myself Bombadil but I'm afraid it will give away my location behind your couch!

6.) 28 Apr 2017 17:46:42
Pogue mahone's should have it on

7.) 28 Apr 2017 17:50:25
Love the idea of hiding behind somebody's couch, not only nervous about the game but you might also get caught, its like 50 shades of grey with football .
P. s i haven't watched 50 shades but get the general idea.
Anyway here's hoping we can grab some passion tomorrow and they have an off day, my bet 3 1 to the bears brown red card and a missed pen

8.) 28 Apr 2017 18:06:25
Anybodys couch will do 😂. all joking aside, it could be more of the same 2moro if the players go into it with an inferiority complex like last week and make Broony the loony look like Johan Cruyff again

9.) 28 Apr 2017 10:05:26
lmao through your fingers

25 Apr 2017 16:27:26
Seeing a lot of people suggest Hodson should go back into the starting XI for Saturday. Personally, I don't think Hodson's the answer to our problems. He's good in 1v1s, but that's not where we were beaten. We were beaten in midfield, where none of our players got near them as we were outnumbered, outmuscled, outpassed and outran. I think Tav and Beerman (or Wallace if fit) are far better footballers than Hodson, we just need to swap one of our non-goalscoring forwards (Garner or Waggy) for someone who will participate in a midfield battle, or will help us keep possession long enough to create opportunities.

1.) 25 Apr 2017 19:23:28
Could not disagree with you more. a defenders first job is to defend and Hodson is a better defender than tav. I watched him play against a very strong German team and hold his own. He should be drafted in against Celtic this weekend. Tavs tackle on Sunday was like a school boys tackle. Sliding in like that in the box.

2.) 25 Apr 2017 21:37:39

Couldn't agree more that challenge from Tavernier was idiotic there was no way he was making that tackle and to dive in like that was incredibly naive.

3.) 25 Apr 2017 22:56:48
That tackle was the only mistake tav made he was one of if not our best player he was the one getting in the mankies faces if you think I'm wrong then rewatch the game

4.) 26 Apr 2017 08:01:36
Frustrated bear

It was a major incident in the match though he didn't need to make that tackle and there was no way he was getting to the ball. If you think I'm wrong watch the incident again

5.) 26 Apr 2017 08:46:20
I agree that challenge was reckless and stupid, but he made it in an area where any one of the LB, CBs or GK should have been there before him. He covered ground, defended well (bar the penalty slide tackle) and got forward to put in good crosses as well. Regardless, I think it's more important to drop Garner/ Waggy and strengthen what was a toothless midfield.

6.) 26 Apr 2017 08:55:51
To be fair to Tav he isn't a rightback, He really needs to be moved into the right mid spot. it would be like a new signing.

7.) 26 Apr 2017 09:17:00

Would agree about Garner and Waghorn they should be dropped from a plane not just the team. 2 utterly useless individuals its cringeworthy that we paid £1.8m for Garner. Let's hope neither are anywhere near the team on Saturday

Looks like he'll cost us around 1.3M, does noone else think we'd be better spending that on wages and going for Adam on a free?

His agent said the only thing to sort is the work permit. Morelos is Columbian, so he does need one before the transfer can be confirmed.

I don't believe he's coming back, but he never walked out, and he'd be a great addition to the current team imo. Played EPL for years, blue nose and should have been in the Scotland team if it wasn't for Chesney.

Can't wrap my head round people wanting Lafferty back and not Adam. Would take Adam back any day of the week, he's been performing in the EPL for years and would be a massive improvement on our current crop.

Still got two years to run on his contract so there will be a transfer fee, but he's expected to be leaving this summer.

They're not "mucking about", they're negotiating a better deal for the club rather than throwing money away. The club have done and are doing a lot of business early in the window. Have patience.

I'll be a bit disappointed if we let wee Barrie go on the cheap. Still the best talent we've got, through the youth ranks, and lots of potential. The rest can go.

Don't think Hodson's anywhere near good enough, but if we signed Paterson then I'd have him RB and Tav RW, Wallace LB and McKay/ Weiss LW, I think that'd be a good setup.
