Jermaine defoe.
Welcome to the most successful club in the world. 💙💙💙.

1.) 03 Jan 2019 16:16:43

Sky sources: Bournemouth agree 18-month loan deal for Jermain Defoe to join Rangers.

The deal has two recall options – in the summer 2019 and January 2020.

The 36-year-old has made just four substitute appearances in the Premier League with his only starts coming in the Carabao Cup.

2.) 03 Jan 2019 16:21:57
18 month loan deal.

3.) 03 Jan 2019 16:39:41
I am absolutely delighted with this!

4.) 03 Jan 2019 16:40:41
Welcome Jermaine. I strongly doubted this move would happen but I admit I was wrong. Welcome to the family.

5.) 03 Jan 2019 16:42:12
Stunning move, happy chap, now get Davis over the line.

6.) 03 Jan 2019 17:03:36
What a bit of business, thank you Mr King and company.

7.) 03 Jan 2019 17:12:27
Wow, that's a statement! I've slated the board at times so time to eat a bit of humble pie here, well done the board for pushing this signing through 👏👏 that's for u 2 molsgoals n dk18 😂😂.

8.) 03 Jan 2019 17:15:52
Defoe would’ve converted a lot of our chances that went a begging in the last couple of months I think it’s a good bit of business as long as it’s within our budget and his experience to Morelos could be invaluable #letsgo.

9.) 03 Jan 2019 17:20:16
Excellent piece of busniness by the club. Welcome Defoe.

10.) 03 Jan 2019 17:43:06
Expressions of interest received from 3 EPL clubs for Morelas £15m, Goldson £7m and Tav £4.5m.

11.) 03 Jan 2019 17:44:15
I said this yesterday Defoe and Davis is some bit of business if we can somehow get Kent I'd be happy but I hear 4 or 5 is wanted in the window.

12.) 03 Jan 2019 18:25:23
I know this opinion won’t be popular but I’d sell Alfredo for £15m with a good sell on clause and use that cash to finance Kent on a permanent deal for £2-3m and Ryan Gauld for similar fee, also take Solanke either for 18 month loan or permanently with the rest added to summer kitty.
I love wee Alfredo and think he’s been different class this season but his temperament still worries me and would prefer the players mentioned.

13.) 03 Jan 2019 18:25:28
The dark side have gone into a "Timplosion" over all this . love it.

14.) 03 Jan 2019 18:49:30
Stevie G pulling strings and getting quality in the door I don’t think this would happen if he wasn’t our manager.

15.) 03 Jan 2019 19:11:06
Wow that’s an amazin post frustrated brought a tear to my eye and much appreciated . Do think mr king had to play durty to compete with the rat Ashley . but honestly I think he has our interests at heart and honourable Intentions which are not money orintated . unlike the rat .
Thanks frustrated and hope the coming year is not as frustrating for us all.

16.) 03 Jan 2019 19:12:01
Bankie who told you this bull.

17.) 03 Jan 2019 19:19:26
6counties in support of bankie, goldston story doing rounds.

18.) 03 Jan 2019 20:09:34
Name change coming soon for me 😉.

19.) 03 Jan 2019 20:24:44
Defoe deal runs till end of contract at Bournemouth.

20.) 03 Jan 2019 21:12:09
Theglasgowranger, if you have any ambition at all for our club, why on earth would you want to sell a class act to finance deals for unproven players like Gauld and Solanke? Thank goodness the manager has far more about him than the fans.

21.) 03 Jan 2019 22:10:03
Bankie i would take that for morelos and goldson but would be asking for bit more for tav. Could get 6 maybe 7 decent players for that.

22.) 03 Jan 2019 22:12:42
I was at Bournemouth games when Defoe was loaned to them at 17 years old, he was utterly awesome then, even a fraction of that form will do us nicely.

23.) 03 Jan 2019 23:23:26
BiizzmyBrox, I first saw him at Lillieshall when he was 15 and he was the pick of his elite group. The year before him, Joe Cole was the star and the year before that it was Michael Owen, so he's been in top company all his life. If the legs are still there (which I'm told they are) he'll do the business for us.

24.) 03 Jan 2019 23:34:26
What about menstrated blue 😂.

25.) 04 Jan 2019 10:35:14
Calm it mols 👊😂😂😂😂.

26.) 04 Jan 2019 13:40:12
FB, I have fallen off my chair twice now - first that Defoe is on his way and then when you have praised Dave King!

Welcome to the team!

27.) 04 Jan 2019 13:42:57
Defoe is the English Kenny miller.

14 Aug 2018 13:21:30
Just seen on SSN website that we're linked with Gareth McCauley.
Would be great signing along with Lafferty as bags of experience and a very honest professional.
LET'S GO.

1.) 14 Aug 2018 13:45:59
Gareth McCauley? Who is 38?

2.) 14 Aug 2018 13:53:00
Was this rumour not going around months ago? Would be good backup for katic and solid goldson.

3.) 14 Aug 2018 14:28:00
He may be 38 but could be a solid addition to the squad.
As long as not expecting premiership wages£££.

4.) 14 Aug 2018 14:29:13
Diego Reyes and Serdar Tasci are still both free agents. They would both be excellent signings especially on a free.

5.) 14 Aug 2018 14:45:22
Iv no doubt he could do a job, my worry is at 38 it’s far more difficult to be match fit/ sharp when your a fringe player at that age and you are needed from the start to cover an injury or suspension; it’s difficult enough for younger players.
I think we need to aim higher but our defence has been outstanding so far but if 1 of our 2 halfs need replaced the standard has to be close to both of them with McAulay good enough for 4th choice for me.

6.) 14 Aug 2018 14:45:25
McCauley would be a solid signing for the season push the other two guys all the way for starting slot.

7.) 14 Aug 2018 14:45:33
Tasci no but reyes would be a great signing. Likely to want silly wages though.

8.) 14 Aug 2018 16:54:29
Diego Reyes whos 6 foot 2 and weighs 65kg? Boys built like Earthworm Jim - I'd assume he would lack the physicality for Scottish Football.

Serdar Tasci, Mehhh maybe. Doubt either are on Stevie's radar though.

9.) 14 Aug 2018 17:54:25
Is Barisic able to play for us if we progress in the Europa league?

10.) 14 Aug 2018 18:21:48
If we make it to group stage, he will be available.

11.) 14 Aug 2018 22:29:57
I agree with bigandy2310 Diego Reyes would be an outstanding signing- he’s only 25 would act as cover for Goldson and Katic- if it worked out superb if not least we could sell him on for a few quid! At that age he’s quality and worth a shout!

12.) 15 Aug 2018 06:04:55
Haven’t we learned our mistakes with Mexicans? Rather see a good offer put forward for John Souttar or McKenna.

13.) 15 Aug 2018 08:38:03
If we are interested in Gareth McCauley I'll probably hear about soon. His family live about 3 streets away. He might do a turn as back up in domestic games but I dunno about playing him in Europe. Would have been some signing- 3 or 4 years ago but at 38? One thing he would bring is 100% commitment and effort.

14.) 15 Aug 2018 10:19:08
I would have given Serdar Tasci a contract but he has since signed for Istanbul Basaksehir. Burnley Europa league opponents.

C'mon all you sceltic fans.
Let's hear your opinion on the Defoe signing.
You seem to have opinions on everything associated with our great club.
🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

1.) 03 Jan 2019 20:57:24
Glad to hear Defoe has signed for us. Does this mean Morelos will be sold? I sincerely hope not.

2.) 03 Jan 2019 21:52:56
I vaguely remember someone from the dark side asking, 'have yous no signed Defoe yet' a few months ago.
Suppose the answer to that must be yes now lol.

3.) 03 Jan 2019 22:07:08
Andyboyblue, he could be a good acquisition but he is 36. Alves looked to be good business at the time but he was pretty poor in the end. The worst case scenario for us is that he turns out to be a success but for how long, a year, maybe two? That’s my honest opinion.

4.) 03 Jan 2019 22:13:37
Sorry, I should’ve added, he’s an exciting signing, it’s got people talking, so credit to yous for that.

5.) 04 Jan 2019 08:12:54
Fair enough coybig.
But in your honest opinion would you not be happy if you had signed such a prolific striker with the experience Defoe has?
Even at 36 he'll still be able to find the net and have huge impact on the younger players our great club.

6.) 04 Jan 2019 09:53:23
Probably yes. He’s a big name, no question, and I was always a fan of his, particularly when he played alongside Darren Bent. If he signs for Celtic, we’re always going to be positive about his potential impact, if he signs for Rangers, we’ll look for the negatives. You guys will do exactly the same.

7.) 04 Jan 2019 10:49:21
Good honesty coy big, 100% correct answer. I'd have been a bit wary if he signed for you, but wouldn't have told any of my celtic supporting mates.

29 Dec 2018 08:51:50
Just seen the boy we were rumoured to be interested in taking on loan from Everton Kieran Dowell has agreed to join Sheffield United for rest of season.
Just hope Stevie G has plenty more up his sleeve.
C'mon the bears today.
STEP UP AND PLAY 💙💙💙.

14 Aug 2018 16:13:40
Hoping with the news that christoph berra out for 6 months it may open the door to cash plus player offer for lafferty.
Looks like they will need cover at the back.

1.) 14 Aug 2018 22:37:13
? And which of our center backs do you propose we offer as part of the exchange exactly?

09 Jun 2017 19:40:25
Harrs vukic just been released by Newcastle. any bears thoughts on him?

1.) 09 Jun 2017 20:27:29
Can stay released. Best of a very bad bunch when he was here.

2.) 09 Jun 2017 21:10:17
What would he offer he wouldn't make the bench

3.) 09 Jun 2017 22:04:35
Not good enough for us now, no going back for me.

4.) 09 Jun 2017 23:11:51
Again hard to judge him on his short spell with us but i'd like to think a guy who can't break into newcastle set up isn't good enough for us

Rglen8,
I know your only posting what you seen but I'm pretty sure if Viera was over looking at morelos he would be flying over,
Can't see him driving over from France in his own car.
🎵Morelos must stay🎵🥁🥁🥁.

I asked barisic at the Celtic game how long he be out for and told me 10 to 14 days.
So he'll be back for next game.

I'd rather have Andy Halliday in my team rather than Lallana.
Lallana plays for the money and our Andy plays for the jersey.
He's one of our own. 🔴⚪🔵.

Bellshill, I was sitting at the game saying that.
Good young tidy footballers in their squad today.
Me personally liked the big number 36 for them.
As you said I don't think they'd cost the earth and they looked very capable playing in front of half full ibrox.

Looks great to me blue89,
Although until Dorrans is fit, I'm sure we could play Kent in there.
