Don’t see Lammers being anything like Darcheville tbh. Looks a bit more like Flo. Big lad with decent feet. Doesn’t seem pacey but is skilful. Also likes to take the penalties which would be interesting….

Sam Lammers would be a good signing. Great feet, decent in the air, good penalty taker, good height and decent age as well.
I think Dessers will prove some people wrong if he signs. Feyenoord expert said he was underwhelmed when he signed for them and he proved him wrong.
Those two and Maja would be great.

Then get Cifuentes and Trusty. Sell Kamara, Davies, Hagi, Colak, Wright, McLaughlin and possibly Barisic. Use that money to get a higher value player deeper into the window.

Lammers has a touch of the Michael Mols about him. Great feet and vision to find teammates under pressure. A bit of a maverick by the look of it, so the coaches maybe just decided to stick him upfront. Would be an exciting signing.

See all the folk saying they don’t score goals. Cantwell hardly scored any goals in 5 years prior to joining us and has scored more in the last few months.
Sakala has scored more than some players being touted but people wouldn’t want him to be our main man. You can’t win.
Do people seriously think we’re going to sign a striker who has been scoring 25 goals per season for the past 4 years? That would cost about 50 million.

John did warn us that we would be underwhelmed with the signings so hopefully the management are proved right and the doubters wrong.

The manager is building a jigsaw. He will be looking at what we are up against, in our case packed defences, and looking for players that can penetrate that. I reckon Lammers looks like the kind of player who can do that.

Don`t know anything about these guys but Beale has said in the past that teams in Scotland have to buy players that are " broken" and rebuild them ala Cantwell or young guys on the way up ala Raskin. Maybe he`s looking at Lammers and Dressers before their time in Italy and he figures he can get them back scoring. These fees may seem a bit too much for us but they are half what the Italians paid for them . Can`t see us still being in for Maja if we sign both unless sicknote Roofe leaves.

I've no doubt the boy has quality/ potential or he'd never have been picked up by Atalanta, but he's getting on now and still not fulfilling it. Is this really a season we can afford to be taking gambles. We could be the making of him or he could be the breaking of our season.

Think lammers will be a tillman type player, he's got good control, can beat a man, but he's hard to find a position for, he will probably play off the striker in the 10 or off either side. He looks tidy on the ball which will be an improvement on this seasons showings up front.

Dessers i think will be a roofe type hopefully minus the injuries and if he does sign will probably end up being our top scorer.

These guys if they do sign are coming in from teams who have struggled to a team that creates a rediculous amount of chances compared to goals scored.

Lamberts is said to be costing £3m and coming in next week. He was part of the Frankfurt’s squad that reached the Europa League final the same year we did. Seems like he’s been bouncing about Europe in recent years going from club to club. He played at some very high levels in Germany, Italy, and Europe.

Maybe Rangers intend to play him on that RW cutting inside on to that left-foot? His height and physicality is perfect for Scottish football. Guys with lace can’t find any space to exploit so a big physical presence like this could give us a totally different option.

I agree Lammers numbers are not great, but his entire career has been spent playing in strong leagues so there is maybe a wee bit of pedigree there. Colak’s goal return was a bit ‘meh’ prior to joining us, predominantly playing in weaker leagues than Lammers (Scandinavia and Croatia) and he has achieved a decent goal / games ratio for us.
