Seen a car with the reg plate ‘Kll OSE’ just before the Govan cut off the day. Guy in the car sort of resembled Timm Klose from a distance. Not sure if I’m adding 2+2 together here or not but thought I’d pass it on.

I know there was interest there last season and with Katic’s injury, we might be back in for him.

I highly doubt he would have brought his own motor up to cut about Govan. Players are always brought up with a private hire for talks and unless he has already moved to Glasgow, there's no chance it was him.

Really hopefully not at the price being quoted. (3.8mill) for a player the signed for 2 mill and is in last year of contract and has only played 40 odd games in 3 seasons for them. doesn't sound to promising in am honest. Would be wanting him for 1 mill.

Solid International valued at £1.8m, his highest value was around £3m when he played in Portugal. Solid holding midfielder was due to sign for Newly promoted Mallorca in Jan for €500k loan fee with €3m future sell price.
Fell through as Amiens couldn’t get replacement in if we are in for him I think it will be at around £2m with the C.V. C.V. expected to reduce player values.

Maybe he does only have a year left on his contract, but maybe that's what we're buying to help prevent the scum's '10' ambitions. He is tall, strong, energetic, can tackle, can find a long pass, most of the things most of you say we are lacking in the midfield. The price is what it is, like in any other market place. I'm sure the C.V. situation will see us getting him for less than the mhedia-quoted price.

Massive newcastle fan other than that not sure why he would hate us. Possibly sways towards celtic. But any english player i doubt will hate either OF teams. wouldn't want him anyway.

I also have to say that this could be bad advise from and agent at work here also, as for the teams interested in him, if he can’t or won’t break into our 1st team he has little hope of doing that at Bayern, Man city etc.

These youngsters heads are turned by talk of Bayern Munich, Man City etc. In most cases their agents actively encourage a move.

Hard for these players not to have their heads turned by clubs offering them serious money. Can go to city and hope it works out, make a bit of cash and if it doesn't still have a very promising career at a decent level.
or can sit in our youth team, never get a chance and inevitably get released and end up playing scottish championship/ league 1 footy on pennies.

True. There has to be a path to the First Team. I have high hopes for the present crop of youngsters. The Lower Divisions in England and Scotland are full of Players who had "potential"

Just after reading a very good article by our former winger pieter huistra in the glasgow evening times online. Stating that the correct way to go is by copying the models of ajax, porto and red bull salzburg, in developing, finding talent and bringing through our talented young players, from our academy.

Huistra reckons that's what gerrard and ross wilson are doing and will continue to put massive efforts into this and building it up! So for some of our supporters who want/ think we can keep spending decent amounts of money regularly, it ain't going to be the way and it ain't going to happen.

He reckons we'll bear massive fruits if we're patient, as he believes in gerrard and wilson, we have the correct guys at rangers to achieve this model! Worth the read fellow bears and i tend to agree with huistra and in the near future we will benefit big time and go past the ANTHILL MOB! 👌👍.

I have been thinking this for ages and feel the youth players at our club should be giving a chance.
This is the model we should be using i just hope our club and manager take notice of this article and start giving youth players a chance.

This keeps surfacing for as long as I can remember but nothing changes our graduation from youth team to first team is pathetic and totally embarrassing. Who was the last manager to give youth players a chance? A string of managers have come out with reasons not to play youth. In all honesty why would any decent youth player want to be part of our system? Teams in league 1 and 2 have better systems than us.

Am sure they have a lot of money due to players leaving for big bucks.

{Ed001's Note - yeah they are cash rich, just sold Ziyech to Chelsea for £50m and while the money is received in instalments, they have plenty coming in from previous sales too.}

6 counties plenty stepped up when we were in lower leagues not one off then good enough. Where r they all now.
That’s why we had a total revamp and see Some signs of better players in academy. Ie Kelly, mccrorie, Paterson maxwell Graham Mayo young lad from Ireland.

It sounds like a great plan but the trouble is we have no youth prospects coming through, it’s the most difficult thing in the world to bring through young players cause their heads are all full of money and riches it’s the way of the world now, and as soon as a better offer comes along most of the top prospects will jump ship, take Kai Kennedy for example I don’t know how much he’s after but it’s obviously a lot more than we think he’s worth. It’s a completely different culture over in Holland, Austria and Portugal! It would be amazing to see a steady stream of players coming through and representing the club like Ajax but clubs all over the world have been trying to replicate their system for decades but it’s still quite a unique club where that’s concerned.

HighlandBear, Rangers have many young players with real potential. However the pressure to win makes it difficult to give these players their chance. I believe that the colt teams would help give these youngsters a better platform to play against seasoned professionals and give a better indication of when they are ready for a first team chance.

Then it is down to the player to take their chance and show they are better than other players in their position. Unfortunately, the organisations that govern Scottish Football don’t have the foresight or will to make this positive change happen. Until then the odds of young players being blooded at Rangers is unlikely. That said, their are a couple of youngsters listed in the first team squad for this year coming.
