Apparently Ryan jack has no interest in joining rangers and if he was to leave Aberdeen his preferred destination would be England!

RonnieR9

1.) 14 Apr 2017 19:11:47
We all no why . MONEY . don't care what anyone says my boyhood team came calling to me i would put on the royal blue jersey of the glasgow rangers and play for nothing

2.) 14 Apr 2017 21:35:07
If the boys a true rangers fan he would walk over broken glass to play for us. He would be a good addition to our squad good solid all round player.

3.) 14 Apr 2017 22:03:17
Has he ever said he was a Gers fan, only thing I've seen is that he's a local boy?

4.) 15 Apr 2017 00:20:17
g4 he isn't going to come out publicly and say he is a Rangers fan while he is Captain of their nearest rivals, but he is and has been since a young lad. A lot of his family are Rangers supporters, goes back to his Grandfather who is from Maryhill.

5.) 15 Apr 2017 07:54:43
Kaymer-

Nah he's a youngish lad, who can give his fam secuirty, if you were offered to play for the gers, or make 5times as much and set yer wee ones up for life? you would be selfish to go with your heart and no the wee ones future.

so put yourelf in shoes, also av heard he's ger and also that he's an aberdeen man so let's see what happens.

6.) 15 Apr 2017 09:46:19
Says he will either stay with the sheep or move to England. Not interested in a move to Govan.

7.) 15 Apr 2017 22:51:32
Don't think Jacks coming if he knew there was a chance and he was open to it then the best thing to do would have been to say nothing OR that being the subject of interest from any team is flattering etc but to say to your Manager that a move to us was not on speaks volumes IF it is true that the player did in fact speak to his Manager

8.) 16 Apr 2017 14:45:44
Read my comment further up in detail for a full explanation on this but Short version yes He is Ger through and through but His soon to be wife wants to well her preference is to stay in Aberdeen or England and Bring up there family there and not the goldfish bowl of Glasgow where problems can be caused because of the oldfirm devide and she dosent want to go through this at schools for young kids etc him single or no family would walk over hot coal fire down to Ibrox, no this cause i know the family his niece plays in the same team as my daughter Aberdeen laddies my daughter also respresents Scotland and She is only 17 and Jack often watched the home games on a Sunday if Aberdeen wasn't playing that day.

Barrie McKay has turned down offer to extend current contract!

RonnieR9

1.) 13 Apr 2017 08:50:02
Let's be honest, yes Barry McKay is a decent player, but not consistently enough, if he doesn't want to extend his contract then bye Barry, if u don't wanna stay we don't want ya, keeping and signing players that want to stay / play for rangers is an absolute must

2.) 13 Apr 2017 09:59:10
Well said Fleetwoodbear, No man is bigger than Rangers Football Club

3.) 13 Apr 2017 10:01:28
Yep he still got year left on his contract so sell him now and if he doesn't want go then freeze him outa football. hd soon want go then

4.) 13 Apr 2017 10:07:55
If anyone has any sales background you pretty much never accept the first offer to start a negotiation. Just more scaremongering by the Scottish press. Just like all these stories about the prem teams buying Celtics entire team. All talk, not believe any of it until confirmed! All aimed at enticing us away from kings sound progressive business model.

5.) 13 Apr 2017 10:28:26
Wee McKay is a decent if not inconsistent player, I get the impression he's starting to rate himself as Billy Big Bollocks! if that's the case then get rid of him! don't need any premaddonas in our team when we're trying to pull together

6.) 13 Apr 2017 11:04:02
Warburton will be in for his teachers pets in summer. McKay, Tav, Kiernan (please please please) and possibly Waggy. Give McKay a good deal and log him to Forrest for £4m cash with 12% sell on. Wont forget McKay pulling out of 60/ 40 tackles and coming off pitch having not worked up a sweat.

7.) 13 Apr 2017 11:05:56
Lads let's calm it with the "we don't want ya" and "freeze him out" chat. you have no idea what the offer was from rangers, it we low-balled him would you expect him to sign it? I suspect we will offer him more money in the coming weeks and he will sign a new contract. let's not start turning against our own!

8.) 13 Apr 2017 11:31:27
Mckay young talented lad personally i would get him on 4 yr deal see how next 2 yr go if need b cash in on him as who else right now can we sell for desent cash personally no one except maybe £500.000 to £750.000 for walace or tav

9.) 13 Apr 2017 12:10:25
It's all fake news! Perfectly normal for almost every player to turn down the first offer.

It's a great way to encourage all the fans who are desperate to slag off the team on here!

Seems to me that based on early performances, Pedro will be able to improve Barrie and turn him into a better more consistent player who can be sold on in a few years for a decent sum.

In the meantime, just get behind the players and offer encouragement

10.) 13 Apr 2017 14:35:30
Forrest don't have 2 bob to rub together. There's no chance he'll go there. The report his story comes from hints that Everton are waiting in the wings for him. Pardon the pun.

11.) 13 Apr 2017 15:56:17
Should slap a big price tag on him like the rest of our competitors do.

12.) 13 Apr 2017 17:22:20
Get shot of him. He is an internationalist. Only 21 he will bring in decent money. I would take £2m now.

13.) 13 Apr 2017 17:24:44
Have just began discussions and this is opening offer Long way to go. Yes he needs to add to his game but he has been our best player for last 2 years and has a fantastic touch. Really want the boy to stay and flourish under the new manager.

14.) 13 Apr 2017 17:26:57
I don't think mckay is as good as he thinks he is yes he's got a good 1st touch and a wee bit of trickery but let's be honest most professional footballers should . his decision making is poor and he can't cross a ball i would cash in if we get a good offer for him.

15.) 13 Apr 2017 17:27:20
Anybody that trains wearing a wooly hat, snood and gloves in April is a snowflake and needs punted in my book 😂.

16.) 13 Apr 2017 18:44:17
Get warburton on the phone he was always touting him as a player. Wee Barrie to Nottingham Forest!

17.) 13 Apr 2017 18:45:44
with mckay if any clubs want him for a decent fee plus sell on percentage they should let the lad leave he is not consistent enough and the funds would help pedro in the transfer market he does not get enough goals or assists for the position he plays.

18.) 13 Apr 2017 18:47:00
Cardiffblue, that's enough of talking sense for 1 day mate 😂👍.

19.) 13 Apr 2017 18:51:45
I'd sell him in the summer, as someone said hopefully warbs comes in with a daft offer. If we get over 2mil for him, grab it. 70/30 tackles he craps himself, too inconsistent, too light weight, his final ball is awful. I'm not turning against the kid because he refused to sign a new contract. I actually said this last season.

Dodoo showed mckay in 5 mins at aberdeen how its done. Dodoo has to get a run of games, build his confidence and me might just have a gem. He has the attributes, physical, pace, height and we know he can finish.

20.) 13 Apr 2017 18:57:36
Barrie's a very talented player but very inconsistent and the end product isn't the greatest at times! IF he's not interested in signing a new deal sell him and use the money to get Vladimir Weiss back!

21.) 13 Apr 2017 19:17:46
don't understand only 4 months ago Barry was rated at 8 million and lepzig wanted him how has it changed?

22.) 13 Apr 2017 23:15:00
What is it wi these so called superstars.
Surely Mckay should look at the rest of the billy big boys who left the mighty Rangers and done nothing with their careers . Rhys McCabe, Jamie Ness, Lewis McLeod, Greg Wylde, all decent when they broke through and thought they were better than us, moved on to bigger things! Dunfermline, Scunthorpe, Brentford and Northampton. Well done lads 😂

23.) 13 Apr 2017 23:05:44
Guys, look at Pedro's presser today, he deals superbly with question on Barry without committing either way. Believe Pedro rates the lad and wants to work with him and develop him into a special player. Barry should continue to discuss all aspects of the next stage of his career including medium and long term. Believe Barry is best served by agreeing improvement to his current deal and agreeing that the next and critical phase is best served at Ibrox.

24.) 14 Apr 2017 09:16:26
"Dodoo has to get a run in the team" C'mon, things are getting stupid on this forum now.

25.) 14 Apr 2017 15:15:10
Everton? are they no in the top 6 of the epl?

lucky to go to shewsbury, he needs time to develop now he is mr inconsistent .

and the 4 million carry on? lucky toget 2 millon, no euro experience.

26.) 14 Apr 2017 16:51:54
I wouldn't say dodoo is physical tbh

09 Apr 2017 11:38:58
Johansson to be named pedro's no3.

RonnieR9

1.) 09 Apr 2017 12:24:32
Seen that today! What happened to a local lad to bridge the gap between players and manager? 🤔

2.) 09 Apr 2017 13:37:48
A bit of a shocker didn't see that coming thought Ferguson was a cert

3.) 09 Apr 2017 14:45:26
Really hope not

4.) 09 Apr 2017 15:30:01
Super scoreboard tweeted ped the ted has confirmed this is true

5.) 09 Apr 2017 15:33:48
Where u were born or grew up doesn't matter. He spent most of his playing career in uk and since he retired has been based and coached in scotland and been working for the club so i think he has the necesary 'local knowledge' and understanding of the game here and the club. Good luck to him

6.) 09 Apr 2017 17:58:33
I for one am happy with the appointment of Johannson
He has past experience with the club and Scottish football, has worked as a youth coach and is highly thought of enough to be the assistant coach of Finland
He should have is finger on the pulse when it comes to Scandinavian players as well which is market we haven't really been looking at for a while.

7.) 09 Apr 2017 18:27:41
That's him officially appointed good luck but I would have preferred Barry

8.) 09 Apr 2017 19:13:54
Yes jj wasn't my no.1 choice for our no.3 job but good luck to him! I'm certainly right behind him! Jonatan johansson is caixinha's choice and we should all trust and back our manager and his team! Could prove to be a really good, shrewd choice! He done well with the motherwell under 20's!

9.) 09 Apr 2017 23:41:27
In terms of everyone being surprised about ferguson not getting the job: Barry is a strong character and he comes with an ego, I this Pedro will avoid upsetting the apple cart and with someone like JJ he has someone who brings honesty but is not overpowering.

10.) 10 Apr 2017 21:11:26
bruno3, the ideal job description of a 'yes' man?

11.) 10 Apr 2017 21:17:03
im not sure jj can bring the passion to the players the barry would but i do think he is a smarter man when it comes to football

28 Mar 2017 15:22:48
Billy Gilmore could well remain at rangers having held talks with Pedro caixinha who wants him involved in the first team next season!

RonnieR9

1.) 28 Mar 2017 18:24:08
Hope this is true. If he is as good as people say he will make the club a right few bob when he does move on

2.) 28 Mar 2017 19:52:56
I think it would be better to build himself up with us get 50 odd games then move with experience rather than get lost in a big clubs youth system. But £££ talks.

3.) 29 Mar 2017 10:06:16
They should get Danny Wilson to have a word with the boy. Same thing happened to him.

4.) 29 Mar 2017 11:24:48
Miller been there done that knows how hard it will be to break into chelsea bayern man city Barcelona etc so should have word in lads ear few yr at rangers learn your trade take it from there

5.) 29 Mar 2017 11:39:45
Gilmore should also look at hyndman canny get into bournmouth never mind chelsea etc yes billy can be great player but if there is 1 in spain italy etc better he b kicked to the kirb n forgotten about like they all do good talent gets wasted too much in football all because teams see potential an sign young lads when they know few yrs some1 better come along an there way down pecking order they then become known as billy who oh the loanee to 20 diff clubs kid but what ever young billy gilmore choses good luck to the lad i wish him all the best just hope rangers tell the lad oor door is always open to you if he goes n homesick etc in few yrs or so

6.) 29 Mar 2017 12:30:38
I guess the lure of big bucks, financial security and the opportunity to learn from better players is hard to turn down at his age.

He could stay at Rangers then have a career ending injury next year

7.) 29 Mar 2017 11:14:20
Think we should take the money it's a gamble we can't afford to take he might not develop?

8.) 29 Mar 2017 13:32:57
In think yous should do everything to hold onto Gilmore for few years n cash in then when he established himself in Scotland international matches which in my opinion is only a few years away he's guna b superstar I'd hate for another young player so talented rot away at megabucks Chelsea we had islaum feurz went the same road

9.) 29 Mar 2017 14:43:40
Great example, Lurgan. I forgot all about Feurz, which says it all really.

10.) 29 Mar 2017 15:18:18
Yip ferrz another no change breaking into chelsea with reports lukaku going back seen neymar. s name van dijk etc chelsea but gilmore £500.000 loan him oot sell him £5mill

11.) 29 Mar 2017 16:11:31
I say we cash in now before he plays 1st team football. A dream is worth more than reality

12.) 29 Mar 2017 17:37:34
At £500k I'd rather take the risk and hope he develops up here.

13.) 30 Mar 2017 14:40:38
he must stay here half a million is nothing compared to what we get is he lives up to the potential

14.) 30 Mar 2017 19:38:46
I hope the decision is left with Gilmour and his family hasn't been offered any financial inducement by Chelsea to help him make his mind up!

15.) 31 Mar 2017 21:13:42
Wonder if Conte has been in touch with Gilmour's Parents?

06 Mar 2017 21:53:24
Gary Rowett confirms he has been interviewed for the rangers job!

RonnieR9

1.) 06 Mar 2017 22:12:10
No, read the whole story, he simply confirms he had a meeting with rangers and says that it doesn't mean he was interviewed about the managers job

2.) 06 Mar 2017 22:53:30
Paulo Bento been sacked from Olympiakos, he would be cracking manager for Rangers and don't think he would be out of our reach.

3.) 06 Mar 2017 22:56:35
Should not of even had that why is he on the short list if we actually went for him as are new manager what a disappointment that would be all this wait then it's Gary rowett! would go down with me like a fart in church.

4.) 07 Mar 2017 06:26:47
Agree totally Rowatt has won nothing and us still relatively inexperienced as a manager, Not what we need

5.) 07 Mar 2017 11:04:34
Nice guy with loads of potential. However, we can't afford another "on the job learning " manager. We need experience, leadership, desire and a passion for winning.

6.) 07 Mar 2017 13:47:08
ive heard that pedro is like klopf he likes his team to attack but aslo likes to defend as a team and have every player shutting down the ball so our guys would get better at passing and moving even though they are not too bad at that the now and most importantly they will be defending as a team what we haven't done in a few years

7.) 07 Mar 2017 13:53:19
Well that rules pedro caixinha out. You do realise gary rowett has managed more games than caixinha.

8.) 07 Mar 2017 14:49:09
apart from alex mccleish nobody on our shortlist has managed a big club so everyones a risky appointment personally i feel ecks time has passed i like gary rowatt done a great job at both burton and birmingham on a limited budget which i feel is how he would be working if he came to us people saying they don't want him because he has won nothing well neither had their manager across the city no matter who comes its going to be a risky appointment

9.) 07 Mar 2017 15:02:19
I like Rowett's ideas, he has specific tactics for certain scenarios during a match, how the game is going go scorewise.

10.) 07 Mar 2017 15:41:58
hooley, mark hughs has managed more games than both of them put together but that doesn't make him a better manager also pedro has taken a team into cncacaf final (sorry bout the spelling)
which is the equivalent to the champions league not as big name teams in it but very high quality!

now let's be fair if we got a top top manager that would cost us the same as brenda costs them that money would come off of our transfer budget, which isn't massive as it is.

we need to get behind whoever the board appoint as anything else will harm our great club

11.) 07 Mar 2017 16:52:08
Time to face facts - we are not a BIG team anymore - the football world has moved on and doesn't care too much for the good old days.

We are the proverbial big fish in a wee pond - unless we pay ridiculous money to players and manger (like Brenda) we need to rely on guys with potential who can use Rangers to enhance their career by making our club successful again.

That being said, we have a huge support, great tradition and history and we have ambitions to regain our place at the big table.

Sky and BT have gone a long way to ruining the game and 1000's of fans of Rangers pay big money to watch other teams play.

Just perhaps if Sky and BT had wind of profits based on investing in our game or insisting that their deals for the English game had to include some integration with Scotland we would become more attractive to investors.

12.) 07 Mar 2017 17:11:25
James I will back the new manager 100% whoever he is. I just think it's a mistake. I will be overjoyed to be proven wrong and I hope I am.

Camoo, the problem is that the team has been so poor this season that average players like miller and hill have been made to look better than they are. If we are going to improve and get closer to celtic next season then i'm sorry but players like kenny miller simply aren't good enough and it appears that pedro feels the same since miller has not been offered a new contract!
