24 Apr 2018 21:18:41
Andre villas boas in scotland he nxt on the list of rumours.

24 Apr 2018 21:17:17
Abel hernandez fron hull striker, diego reyes from porto centre back and jonathan bamba from st etienne winger all available on a free would love it if rangers could lure all three in along with arfield and mccarthur that would shake them and show we mean serious business without spending money but maybe a decent bit on contracts.
Would also like to see big bruno been kept in some sort of coaching role what do use think?

24 Apr 2018 22:29:36
Share some of what your smoking lad

25 Apr 2018 06:58:51
Aye people said the exact same thing a couple of years back when i said about moussa dembele been available and we should go for him and was told there was no chance we would ever get a player like that when he haf better offers in england and we seen where he ended up

25 Apr 2018 07:24:04
To be fair we didn’t get him did we?

25 Apr 2018 07:33:16
But my point is people were saying there was no chancr of him coming to scotland because ' arsenal tottenham and psg are chasing him and they would require £12m compensation' we seen how that turned out

25 Apr 2018 07:35:04
Also i never said we were after him i said i vasically said i would love for them to sign basically a wishlist which would show intent

25 Apr 2018 08:12:05
these guys might come (and use Scottish clubs as a stepping stone) if there was the chance of them playing in Champions League so they can show their talents in the big games. Our Mickey Mouse League would not be enough on its own. That is why Celtic are able to attract them and sell them on.

24 Apr 2018 21:04:14
Just seen Andres Villas-Boas bumming up his time in Scotland while doing his badges. He's not with a club at the moment either. Mon king step up and have a word mate.

25 Apr 2018 08:13:05
dont get if you don't ask. Why slag the suggestion off? The guy can only say "no thanks"

24 Apr 2018 19:20:33
I wonder if Murty will take Andy Halliday to the Piggery on Sunday. We all probably agree Andy shouldn't have been in the starting line up last time around and didn't play well, but to be totally humiliated by Murty and bringing on Josh Windass was a total disgrace! You wait to half time and then make change and shows you what sort of coach he is! To treat a fellow professional like that is out of order then runs to Directors with problems when a couple of players give him it tight?
I don't want Murty near our under 20 side and he should be removed from the whole club at end of the season, no matter if we finish second or not🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

24 Apr 2018 19:22:39
Load of nonsense. Everyone's is acting like this is the first time someone's been subbed before halftime

24 Apr 2018 20:13:54
Why wait till half time if you think you need a change. The guy gets slaughtered for not trying to change games. What chance has he got.

24 Apr 2018 22:01:58
The treatment of Andy Haliday was a total disgrace.

In the 2 minutes left before half time Windass made no impact. In fact he made no impact on the 47 minutes he was on the park.

Let’s hope murty learns from his mistakes, presses that mob high up the park and puts someone on Scott Brown and goes man for man in midfield.

24 Apr 2018 22:11:33
Aberdeen done it the day before

24 Apr 2018 22:48:50
You actually think what murty done to Halliday was right? Well none of the players did few of the fans did none of the pundits did. That's how he lost the dressing room but its good to see your right behind him, your standards must be really low!

25 Apr 2018 08:07:55
Aberdeen? Who cares what Aberdeen done? I’m only interested in Rangers.

25 Apr 2018 08:32:26
There's no rules on when to make changes. It's easy in hindsight.

If windass had came on and scored we'd be applauding the change with not a care for haliday.

It's more a sad indictment of how poor our squad is that both are playing.

25 Apr 2018 19:43:31
and if Windass had scored everyone would be shouting about that great tactical change.
Murty was manager and tried to change thigs. Sometimes teams are running down the clock and get caught on the hop. He tried, it failed, move on.
regardless of anything, Murty is manager until last game, support him and help the team. Discontent only gives everyone outside of the club opportunity to have a go.

26 Apr 2018 12:01:48
Halliday was lucky to last 42 mins. A truly awful player who can’t do the basics

24 Apr 2018 19:00:34
Bears, don't know about yous, but I for one are sick and tired of Brown and Griffiths quite blatantly taking the piss out of us this week with Broon saying Hibs are the 2nd best team in the country and Griffiths nominating Pedro as player of the year. Hope our players are reading it and go out and get stuck in on Sunday.

24 Apr 2018 19:14:47
Sirstruth I totally agree mate need to put these clowns back in their box I just hope our players turn up and produce

24 Apr 2018 19:39:01
I see your point mate. let’s hope the board have something up their sleeves because I think there’s a lot of fans feeling the same

24 Apr 2018 20:07:30
Hi Sirstruth, Unfortunately they have earned the right to take the piss. However all of this will come back to haunt them like most things in life, what goes around and all that. The day we see a Ranger with the right to take the piss is coming closer.
Just putting it out there, what would you have one of our players do at the end of a victorious game at the Landfill, "Griffithesque"
1. Scarf on the corner flag.
2. The huddle.
3. A can of Lynx on the goal post.
4. Fist pump at their support
5. Wipe your nose on their flag.

No to all, I would have our team line up at the tunnel and clap the loosing team into the dressing room with sincerity. that's how you get it right up them - IMO

24 Apr 2018 20:31:48
I'd say do everything you have mentioned. Mind you if Andy Halliday tried to the a Famous scarf on their goalposts he would be banned for life, arrested and told to attend for counselling. When the ugly thumb does it everybody just shrugs. And the comments from peanut and thumb shoukd be treated with the contempt they deserve and thrust down their throats on Sunday. And peanut talks about treating opponents with respect. Brainless and classless imo

24 Apr 2018 23:59:34
Halliday would give the scarf away before he got to the goalpost lol

24 Apr 2018 17:11:18
Concerning season ticket renewal has anyone who has been moaning about not renewing contacted the office. I'm just curious to how many would actually follow through with not renewing if we get a manger that doesn't fill us with confidence or is Graham murty. I personally like a moan but will still renew even of we got someone who is dross and I think that king knows most of us can't help it.

24 Apr 2018 17:33:18
There's the problem right there! why renew for mediocrity the board count on blind faith if we want change we may need to take a bit of pain

24 Apr 2018 17:50:00
I’m not renewing regardless of who the manager is. They no longer deserve any money up front as they quite simply cannot be trusted with it.

24 Apr 2018 18:20:14
I agree with you chosen 11 but for some reason I'm saying I will be renewing anyway. I think its a problem that we all have but i agree i need to change my thinking here and if it is a mediocre appointment then say no. It will be painfull . The manager decision needs to be made now instead of leaving us all hanging .

24 Apr 2018 19:06:53
LDM17 your are posting on here everyday. who are u trying to kidding u will renew

24 Apr 2018 19:12:59
im thinking the same but worried about holding out and losing my seat

24 Apr 2018 19:35:02
JCgers I’m no renewing. I’ll get tickets on a weekly basis. Unless there is a change on the board and a proper CEO installed who can be held to account I’ll no be paying up front.

24 Apr 2018 20:02:55
Still harking on about a new board?

Do any of you have people in mind who will supply the funding etc that you crave?

Didn’t think so.

The club has made huge progress and although recent results have been weak there is no doubt we are far ahead of where we were last year.

If you can’t see the reality and support the club there will be others in your seats and you won’t be missed

24 Apr 2018 22:05:06
Far ahead of where we were last year? U looked at the points totals? Hardly far ahead mate

25 Apr 2018 07:02:18
DK can you please tell us the hugh progress achieved by the board. All I've seen is unharmony, disarray, mistakes. Pedro, the Mc Innes saga, the overdraft facility oops another loan, the takeover panel verdict, DK statement before the semi telling GM doesn't matter if you win your not getting the job, AJ ahead of the curve and more court appearances than Andy Murray. That's just some of the the off the field incidents and don't let me get started about on the field ones. So where the hugh progress DK

25 Apr 2018 07:31:30
Anyone not wanting to renew it’s totally up to you. The rest of us will follow on. Though times they have been hard, we’ve followed near and far

25 Apr 2018 19:50:29
they will not be getting a penny of my hard earned cash up front. Ticket by ticket basis from me

24 Apr 2018 15:07:17
What we need is a catalyst to rock our club to the core and as I have said many times before the only man I can see that we could attract, that would fill the bill is Graeme Souness. If he could re-generate Brian Kennedy's interest, to buy king's shares then maybe just maybe we could have a platform for next season. Then bring in Gerrard, or similar, and between GS and SG they would attract the right type of player. The details would be down to them, but one thing for certain is a radical overhaul is necessary. In my opinion there is a better option than Gerrard.

24 Apr 2018 15:18:01
My better option---------- Frank Lampard, who woul have the support of his uncle Harry and his cousin Jamie. All confirmed bluenoses, not short of a few bob.

24 Apr 2018 15:28:30
M8 come back to earth 🌏👍🏻

24 Apr 2018 20:00:56
Please tell me our options, continue as we are and we are open to the continuous humilation of a second rate team supported by blinkered clowns, and I am not talking about the manky mob, I am talking about us, if we are going to continue blindly following dk and his "promises". Waken up and smell the coffee. Every supporter that renews his season ticket is condoning the hypocrisy that is Rangers.

24 Apr 2018 20:08:07
Billyb

Getting someone to buy Kings shares will change nothing. That person if they exist will also have to bring in serious investment to even tempt a Souness type but nowadays Souness would not come to Scottish football.

He had the luxury of bringing big players because we could complete with the English teams. that era has long gone.

Stop dreaming and support the club no matter who plays, manages or owns

24 Apr 2018 20:20:23
DK17, Absolute crap. The important thing is to get rid of king, who talks a good game but does not have a clue, you and many like believe that we have a divine right to success, but to be successful you have to earn it. Always remember king tried to bring our club to its knees with the season ticket boycott, backed by the sos, who are hell of a quiet after our recent deluge of hiss.

24 Apr 2018 20:51:00
Billyb
You’ve got form on here. first to critique the board when we are not performing but never heard of when we are playing well.

I think it’s a personal thing you have against DK but I’ll ask you again.

Where are these mystery benefactors that you would have replace DK?

I don't see them lining up to buy any shares never mind a controlling interest.

I don’t see anyone in the wings waiting to write a big cheque.

Absolute crap you say. I say you are living in a dreamland with an abnormal obsession about Dave King that clouds your thoughts.

Get behind the club and support us at least until a better option materialises.

Any boycott will only cause damage to the club

24 Apr 2018 22:09:58
Mate its folk like you who keep getting on there knees for slimy king n drinking in all the mad statements that is what's wrong with our club. Trust me we with old mones they will want out and I guarantee there would be plenty of interest to invest in our club. There was before but everybody wanted dk because he's a "rangers man". Only we would want back the same board who ran us into the ground the first time round

25 Apr 2018 09:25:57
Frustrated
What’s wrong with out club is that there are too many so called fans who live in the dark ages.
Scottish football is a burst flush. without a sustained run in the CL and/ or a sugar daddy most clubs are heading backwards and will never be far away from administration.
The SPL is heading towards Irish football standards unless something radical is done.
I’ve said it before, I don’t see anyone in the wings waiting to replace DK. talk is cheap and whilst there may have been a few enquiries, no-one else put their. Only down and took control before DK did.
I don’t believe that there are any contributors on here who worship King but there are plenty who acknowledge that the club is a hell of a lot better off than it was 3 years ago.
We don’t need sunshine supporters. get behind the club or head to the east end

25 Apr 2018 21:52:55
Sunshine supporters. I first went to ibrox with my old man over 25 year ago and have beenough a regular ever since. Season ticket holder for 9 years my 11 year old son six year season ticket holder. I'm no sunshine supporter mate but I'm certainly not gullible. Maybe it's the gullible section of our support who should head elsewhere. p. s we are no better off than when they came into power look at the accounts were actually a he'll of a lot worse off. Why else would we take an astronomical loan against most of our assets

24 Apr 2018 14:48:32
Who would we prefer starting on the left wing next season. Jamie Murphy or Scott arfield? I know it's not necessarily one or the other just curious who bears would prefer or maybe look at other possible options but what's the opinions bears?

24 Apr 2018 15:08:14
Is Arfield not a central attacking mid?

24 Apr 2018 15:29:35
I would rather play Arfield as an central attacking midfielder which he’s been his whole career.

24 Apr 2018 15:49:32
Since Arfield's never been a winger in his life it makes the question irrelevant.

24 Apr 2018 17:09:07
Jamie Murphy all day long. He’s a natural Winger for a start! Personally I think Arfield will be coming in to replace Windass with a £2-3m deal with sell on percentage a realistic possibility. In return we get a more experienced, versatile, hard working midfielder. Then we may even play Dorrans in the 10. The Fee for Windass would cover the fees for Murphy and Cummings obviously not all the wages though.

24 Apr 2018 17:30:18
I know what is it way folk thinking arfield is a winger. he's been a cm his whole career do some of you know football? More a choice of arfield or windass mate

24 Apr 2018 13:56:21
not a rumour, just an opinion. Charlie Austin from S'Hampton would score for fun in SPL, saints could be going down plus Long gets in front of him for starting 11.

24 Apr 2018 15:30:06
Way out our price bracket sadly

24 Apr 2018 13:35:23
Thinking about the Steven Gerrard suggestion in the press, at first I thought instantly; no way.

He's untested which would be the obvious worry, however, he would command respect and would likely bring a siege mentality to the dressing room.

I seen a post on here about the players using Brown and Griffiths comments into Sunday's game, but players like Brown and the thumb have been disrespecting and ripping our players a new one for two seasons now, wiping nose of flags, tying scarfs to posts and stands, laughing in our players faces etc.

The players should have used that as fuel from day dot, Brown laughs in their faces every Old Firm, you'd think they would be embarrassed and want to get one over on them, at least one game fs.

24 Apr 2018 21:48:48
Souness was untested. Every potential appointment carries a risk, but you can minimise that risk by ensuring the manager is either British or has a good knowledge of the British game, is a respected figure in the game who could attract a better level of players and who has a great deal of self-confidence, courage and mental strength. None of our previous three managers have demonstrated these qualities that are essential for success in the Big Chair at Ibrox.

24 Apr 2018 13:17:22
I think it's clear we need to sell some players this summer, personally I think.
Foderingham
Windass
Alves
Cardoso
Holt
Halliday
Morelos
Rossiter
Herrera
Pena

And when you think about it that could be £15-20million, with potentially Mcarthur and
Arfield coming in for nothing gives us a good bit money to spend, now of course it might be hard to find clubs to take some of these players and maybe I'm being a bit optimistic about the money and maybe some of these players are doing a good enough job just now but we need better players.

24 Apr 2018 13:26:37
Don't think that lot will bring in as much as that

24 Apr 2018 15:34:06
See if you can get 15-20 million for all them go and work for the samaritans. You’re a miracle worker

24 Apr 2018 16:13:31
I wouldn't sell rossiter, if he can hav a bit of luck and steer clear of anymore injuries, he's a class act and should play in front of back four starting this weekend, we've got nothing to lose &everything to gain

24 Apr 2018 16:33:41
id say at most 11mil for that on a good day

24 Apr 2018 21:23:48
£15 to £20 quid if you lucky that lot are dross

24 Apr 2018 13:10:41
Easy team talk for Sunday pin up all the comments from the cardboard gangster about us not even being 2nd and please rangers please get in about them don't let them settle nip at them annoy them
At the huddle stand in a line link arms and stare at their wee man hug
Nothing more to say no place to hide boys no place this is your time you're playing for the most successful club side in the world
Go out and make us proud to a bear.

24 Apr 2018 13:52:14
They've never used their comments and disrespect any other time so why would they start now.

Maybe I will be shocked but i'm fearful for Sunday, the enthusiasm we all put into the last Old Firm at Ibrox left me totally deflated. Hope i'm wrong though.

24 Apr 2018 15:01:42
Totally agree bearmode that game at Ibrox was a hard one to take and flattened us, it is hard to read all this s**t from players like brown because the only way he gets away with it is cause we let him and them as a team, but I’m afraid I think it will be a new manager that gets the team determined to beat them, and enough of the let’s get one over on them talk from some people on here, bears we have 54 over them and we need to get rid of small club mentality like ‘let’s get one over’ and ‘that’s a shambles Leyton Bates go’ (btw Bates decent player but no exactly Ramos and he ain’t bigger than the club)

24 Apr 2018 17:33:24
Who's Leyton bates haha

24 Apr 2018 21:26:31
Could we stick one guy on Jobby Brown and
Man mark him for 90 min and if he gets near the ball
Kick lumps out of him and rotate the man marker
To avoid booking

24 Apr 2018 12:58:43
Why are the papers still calling sundays game a title decider . I would love nothing more to shut up the smug lot fed up having our noses rubbed in it.

24 Apr 2018 14:54:38
Because it's a great story to sell papers RT.
Every Gers fan would love to see that THUG Broon brought down to earth, a complete chancer along wi that wee weed Griff.
Murty needs to put both Cummings and Morelos up front and tell our defenders to DEFEND not abandon their job by trying to score goals.
Maybe then we could wipe the smugness of the Timco faces who let Hibs beat them deliberately, in my opinion.

24 Apr 2018 12:55:17
We always seem to be chasing midfield players . we have Ryan jack to come back who I think is a serious talent when used properly. I remember when jack snuffed brown out a game against Aberdeen when he man marked him. Also when jack played with mcCorrey at the top of a diamond we were flying until bothbgit injured . that is seriously where we need to get back to. McCorrey defending from the tip of a diamond takin the pressure off the defence
Keep the faith.

24 Apr 2018 10:16:44
Steven Gerrard for manager? Played under Rafa Benetez and Brendan Rodgers. Experience with u20 liverpool side. Perhaps picked up a few coaching tips from klopp. Not a bad shout. Players would respect him a bit like zidane at real madrid.

24 Apr 2018 11:40:08
So we go from one youth coach who knows the club to another who doesn’t. NEITHER have the experience required.

24 Apr 2018 11:54:27
believe that you ll believe anything

honestly.

24 Apr 2018 16:54:36
Zidane gets respect at madrid because he played for them and all they do is pick a team and make subs player recruitment is out of there hands they just go for big named players gerrard is respected at liverpool because he's a club legend doesn't mean he would get the same respect up here from players we need someone with experience to take control of the squad and come down hard on them get the best out of them

24 Apr 2018 09:21:38
There doesn’t seem to be one person who is getting a lot of support to be next manager. There seems to be doubters for most of the candidates De Boer, Potter, Reid, Warnock, etc. I think each of the main candidates may be a gamble, as not one of them has a great record as manager. People like Potter for example, he maybe doesn’t have the experience but Jokanovic at Fulham didn’t have a great record as a manager but this year is doing well at Fulham. I just hope the board pick someone who has ambition and wants to be at Rangers. It would be interesting to find out who (if anyone) has put their name forward or shown an interest in the job. Also I hope we don’t see more posts for Walter Smith to come back. I think the guy has done enough for the club and he deserves to enjoy his retirement.

24 Apr 2018 11:40:21
I think the problem is, we know, the managers we really want won't come. So basically and very sadly we are stuck with the second or even third division managers to choose from. Personally I'd like a young ambitious candidate but at the same time my napper is telling me we need experience but the experienced managers who might come are not very inspiring. So Although he has won nothing Alex Neil is my fav. still young and ambitious with high level experience. Hope preston don't go up.

24 Apr 2018 08:52:28
A few weeks ago our supporters, to a man, were purring at the performances of Sean Goss . one or two even intoning the name of the great Jim Baxter in regards to an apposite comparison and imploring our board to be doing everything they could to be finding the funds to be making his signing permanent
One game when he appeared overwhelmed by a dominant Celtic midfield in the home 3-2 reverse and now most on here are stating that he should be run out of town at the first available opportunity.
How fickle can fans be . Goss from hero to zero in the space of a couple of weeks . ho hum.

For what it's worth, I believe that there is a player of immense potential in Goss-he was at one time signed by Manchester United who apparently viewed him as being a potential replacement for Michael Carrick. I, for one, think that he has the quality to be a stand out for us for seasons to come -whilst whisperings about Arfield and Mc Arthur coming to the club are great Goss has the quality to potentially be our playmaker/ lynchpin for seasons to come.

24 Apr 2018 09:26:53
I agree. I think that Goss still has some serious potential. I think he just needs more game time to get his confidence back. He is arguably the best distributor of a ball in our squad. He needs time to adjust to the physical nature of the Scottish game. Do we try and get him on another 6 month loan to see if he can adjust? He wouldn’t be the first player to have a dodgy start to their career then turn out to be a decent player.

24 Apr 2018 10:58:42
Goss has been chucked under the bus by murty, who seems to pick his team by lottery machine. The quicker he is gone the better! But just watch Sunday he'll fluke a win!

24 Apr 2018 11:31:56
You can’t judge young players on their old firm debuts, he’d be a great addition to our squad and I hope we sign him.

24 Apr 2018 11:42:24
Spot on mate. He’s better than most we have in there and it just shows how mad Murty is to cast him aside for Andy Halliday!

24 Apr 2018 15:26:15
I think our fans are fickle. TBH think Goss is a lovely player with ball at feet only needs game time to build his confidence. Another Murty blunder in not playing him TBH.

24 Apr 2018 15:26:55
I have been slaughtered in two sites before first celtic game to say he is no where near good enough for us.
Less than 30 first team games at 23 years of age.
Also people complain about arfield and mccartur who are better than anything we have.
We must improve the standard

24 Apr 2018 08:05:37
If we sign Arfield what does the future hold for Murphy? Is Arfield a step up? and if we sign him we are making a big saving so we can use the money where we need to strengthen most probally defence! Thoughts bears!

24 Apr 2018 08:16:32
Pretty sure arfield and murphy play different positions mate

24 Apr 2018 08:20:36
Different players mate arfield plays a lot more centrally probably more windass position than murphy

24 Apr 2018 08:29:18
As far as I am aware Arfield has been used as a CAM recently rather than a LM, getting a tad slow to be a winger in the Prem.

24 Apr 2018 09:19:25
Murphy is a good player but I thought he would be better. Would still sign him though 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

24 Apr 2018 11:29:37
They don’t play the same position mate, although Arfield can play out wide he’s more used to playing central. If we get him (and it’s a huge if) you can expect to see both players week in and week out. From what I’ve heard his agent is using Rangers to push up his wages before he signs for an English Championship team

24 Apr 2018 15:28:07
Arfield and Murphy play different positions and both clearly enhance the squad

24 Apr 2018 07:51:00
Hi everyone, You've got to think Those who run the club know who they want as the next manager and have already sounded him out and everything's in place surely. Also he must be identifying targets, players who have been sounded out also and are coming as well as leaving, me personally I think there will be exciting changes at the club this close season and very much for the better. 4 games left let's everyone give it there all please. Second or third doesn't bother me which personally no difference really just prestige let's see what happens when. c'mon us.

24 Apr 2018 08:09:22
Hopefully Robbie! One thing that has been missed of late with this much maligned board is that they really did back Pedro last summer with an unexpectedly large turnaround of players. They will be hoping for a far better return on that investment this summer as so many of the signings last summer under achieved. Hopefully some magic can worked and a manager appointed before the end of May so we can have a real crack at Europa league qualification which will be a tall order and probably come down to luck of the draw. Still Steve Clarke for me, he could make us consistent and would take no nonsense, also seems to be a good coach by improving what he has got to work with. I could see Morelos, Windass, John, Tavernier, Docherty all improving under him.

Review Of The Day 24th April 2018

24 Apr 2018 07:03:39
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 24th April 2018

24 Apr 2018 00:34:36
Just a name. to be put out there. We have no money apparently would no one like harry redknapp?
