Steven Davis rumoured to want a return. 1 yr left on contract valued at 5 million.

RfC_Chris

1.) 23 May 2018 16:16:23
5m 1 yr left lol come bk nxt yr

2.) 23 May 2018 17:41:03
5 Million what? He’s certainly no worth 5 Million pounds at his age

3.) 23 May 2018 17:53:32
Don’t need anymore central midfield players

4.) 23 May 2018 18:09:16
We need loads more midfields!

5.) 23 May 2018 18:11:58
If the transfer fee suits us then we do need another central midfielder, if indeed its steven davis we're talking about here! I'd give him a 2 year deal NOW, with an option for a 3rd year! He's still a superb midfielder imo! He'd still absolutely cakewalk it up here in the scottish premiership! Streets ahead of scott brown, who's currently regarded as the best midfielder in scotland at the minute!

6.) 23 May 2018 18:17:28
Deemc22 we may have the numbers in Central Mid
But we Lack the mustle we can rebuild our Defence
But it won’t mean anything if we don’t have the muscle in our midfield to compete

7.) 23 May 2018 18:26:18
Why do people think we’re overloaded with midfielders? The majority of our midfielders are never rangers class in a million years! Dorrans is past it, Halliday is Sunday league level, Jack is bang on average, holt works hard but has limited ability! The only two I would keep is Rossiter who unfortunately is always injured and mccorrie!

8.) 23 May 2018 18:30:40
how the hell is dorrans past it he's younger than skrtle lmao

9.) 23 May 2018 18:45:45
Wit about candeias Murphy docherty let's GO

10.) 23 May 2018 18:46:18
Defence and a goalscorer take precedence over another midfielder but if we are on the lookout for one I'd go for Malumbu on a free before Davis with a fee much as I admire the latter for his past performances. Malumbu has shown he can cut it in the SPL whilst Davis hasn't seen a lot of action last season. Big Eck signed players based on who they used to be rather than who they are now and it cost us. Let's not make thee same mistake again. I'm fine with McGregor as a keepercoming back at his age but I worry about older outfield players.

11.) 23 May 2018 19:02:39
I would keep Doherty who seems to have potential as for candieas and Murphy there both wingers! I wouldn’t keep Dorrans apart from the win against st Johnstone every other game I seen him play he was dreadful before his injury and after it.

12.) 23 May 2018 19:05:29
We need two quality midfielders of say Lucas and Davis that kind of class are midfielders we have mcorie and rossiter aside are nowhere near good enough not just to catch Celtic but look at the European quality rounds alone teams like besiktas fayanord zenit I'm sorry but people like holt docerty and jack dorrens are no were near that level to compete with that level of player.

13.) 23 May 2018 19:11:08
Totally agree with supercoopereleven would gladly take Steve Davis even if he’s 33 year old. He would stroll it up here again and I would build the team around him👍🏼 Just my opinion

14.) 23 May 2018 19:47:07
Our midfielders got bullied last season we need new ones

15.) 23 May 2018 20:39:49
would take steve davis back in a heartbeat better player than any we have in the squad at the moment

16.) 23 May 2018 23:06:04
Davis is a very clever player. I'd definitely take him back.

17.) 24 May 2018 00:50:23
JGG1 it never fails to amaze me the staunch loyal who think Jason Holt is the second coming and Ryan Jack is a magnificent player.

Both are utterly mediocre and you're bang on to say we have two midfielders of quality - Rossiter and McCrorie. Greg Docherty too is outstanding and we can build around these guys.

But Dorrans, Jack, Halliday, and Holt barely scrape average.

18.) 24 May 2018 17:34:09
100% agree with you rfcrb Doherty, mccorrie and Rossiter are young with potential but I still believe we need at least another 2 top class midfielders In our squad. Arfield in my opinion will play the number 10 roll. I would personally love Davis and mcginn in midfield along beside him 👍🏼

05 May 2018 01:03:37
Absolutly buzzin with this appointment. Wasnt impressed by warburton or pedro. Must admit i was in the give murty a chance boat but seeing the staunchness ripping out of steve gerrard, the gravitas. what an absolute legend. A leader. A man moutain. Handled himself impecably well. To be honest i blindly renewed my season ticket but my reward is a born winner leading the team that i love. Also rumours of investment. Does this mean the banter years are over and we can put them behind us and look forward now to a future that's bright a future that's orange!

RfC_Chris

1.) 05 May 2018 08:18:37
Well said Chris, I think we will now attract players who we would not have before. And if we have some budget and get organised then the future bodes well. C'mon the Gers!

2.) 05 May 2018 10:01:57
Totally agree mate, SG seems ready for the challenge ahead. As Dave King said the exposure worldwide will be massive. Let's remember he worked with Brenda for 3 years as his captain. Gerrard will know abit about his tactics, training etc. I'm prepared to give SG time and support as I'm sick of new manager every year. This feels right. LET'S GO

3.) 05 May 2018 11:06:39
Chris that comment means so much to 50,000 blue noses
Steven Gerrard we wellcome him in to our club let's put the past behind us and remember lads thay are only winning everything is because we are getting bak to our feet let's see how good that are now because we the rangers we the people we are back

4.) 05 May 2018 11:16:08
Totally agree - was absolutely buzzing yesterday. His presser was flawless. He just gets it. The exposure yesterday was superb - all the national news carried the story. May need time, but I for one will give it as this is the most positive I've felt in years.

5.) 05 May 2018 11:59:26
Its wonderful to feel like this again, I don't mind saying I was close to tears when I saw him in a Rangers scarf in front of the fans who made over to the stadium.

At this moment it feels like something has changed. This appointment has real promise, real potential.

I hope we all give him, and the board for that matter, the chance and time to get this right. We can not afford to be impatient.

6.) 05 May 2018 12:14:36
It's definitely exciting troops

03 May 2018 08:18:44
Rumour going about that leaks to the press are the reason for miller and wallace suspensions and the 2 board members getting axed.

RfC_Chris

1.) 03 May 2018 09:16:40
Is that a leak about a leak from a leak then?

2.) 03 May 2018 10:46:06
Leakception.

3.) 03 May 2018 15:21:23
Not so. There are very few leaks from Ibrox that do not come from a single source - the odious and treacherous Mr Traynor.

4.) 03 May 2018 15:51:49
Leak - gate part 7

26 Apr 2018 21:53:37
Heart and hand podcast rumours of Alan Hutton signing.

RfC_Chris

1.) 26 Apr 2018 22:57:32
Work colleague also told me this on Tuesday

2.) 26 Apr 2018 23:08:06
Don’t you think a new manager might want to sign his own players?

3.) 27 Apr 2018 01:47:12
We've already started recruiting for next season.

4.) 27 Apr 2018 07:05:52
Looks like the board or perspective manager are wanting a strong experienced squad for next year tae stop that lot then we can start bringing in the youth to keep our title

24 Apr 2018 10:05:06
Why haven't the board announced the new manager yet? Season ticket books need renewed/ sold. It would make sense that you give the fans assurance that the team will be in good hands next season.

RfC_Chris

1.) 24 Apr 2018 10:56:14
Maybe they haven't found one yet?

2.) 24 Apr 2018 11:45:07
RfC Chris ---- couldn't agree more but don't you think that the time to make an announcement of meaning, and catch the attention of all and sundry, would be this coming Saturday. What a tremendous lift that would give our supporters, our team and perhaps give our opponents a little more to think about

We, the fans, as the banner intimated at the Hearts game ---- DESERVE BETTER ---- then, for G##s sake surely our board must act now to lift this gloom that has now settled over our whole club.

3.) 24 Apr 2018 11:52:05
because they are clueless chris

4.) 24 Apr 2018 13:11:31
because they said murty had it until the end of the season.

5.) 24 Apr 2018 13:47:53
Exactly bigandy, guys contracted until the end of the season.

6.) 24 Apr 2018 15:30:47
Yes but man city announced guardiola in January to come in the summer! Clubs do it all the time. Murty is the interim manager.

Thinking about the Aberdeen and motherwell games. We were about 3 minute away from a result in both 6 points. If we had got that six points we would now have 17points that would have put us top of the league. 7 points ahead of the persons. Fine margins indeed.

RfC_Chris

1.) 27 Sep 2018 21:54:11
Got draws, so 4 points. Sickening though.

2.) 27 Sep 2018 21:54:45
Sorry but I think your calculations are wrong, we already got 1 point from each game, so if we had won them both that would have been another 4 points, that's a total of 15 points, one point behind Hearts .

3.) 28 Sep 2018 00:42:07
1+1=3.

4.) 28 Sep 2018 01:39:03
But we never, forget about those points and move on.

5.) 27 Sep 2018 23:49:19
We still got 2 points out those games so only an extra 4, putting us on 15 points.

6.) 28 Sep 2018 09:45:28
Yes it’s disappointing to drop 7 points so far but we need to focus on getting 6 before the international break and we’ll be sitting ok!

10 Sep 2018 21:56:23
Would you take naismith back? he's a winner and scoring goals for fun.

RfC_Chris

1.) 10 Sep 2018 22:31:34
Never. As far as snakes go, he is the biggest one of all.

2.) 10 Sep 2018 22:39:46
Dutycalls

Well said mate.

3.) 10 Sep 2018 22:50:36
Nonsense the boy is rangers to the core. Don’t believe he will be back at Ibrox though.

4.) 11 Sep 2018 00:19:30
Back to the naismith of old tonight he was outstanding.

5.) 11 Sep 2018 08:23:13
Bankie, the so called Rangers man sat a press conference and said the club was dead! There was no need for the press conference and to this day why did he do that! Simply UNFORGIVABLE 😡🇬🇧.

6.) 11 Sep 2018 09:38:16
Time to let go at the time the club was a shambles. Players with no contracts, no wages paid, didn't know where or if they would be playing next season. Footballs a career and if you didn't know if you had a job to report to the next day or week you would consider your options and what's best for your career. I would have naismith and davis back in january both winners.

7.) 11 Sep 2018 10:50:17
Yes I Agree Naismith had to look after his career and I have no problem with that, but I say again why have that press conference and comments when he didn’t need to do it! Wouldn’t want him any where near Ibrox and a snake😡🇬🇧.

8.) 11 Sep 2018 10:52:27
I said no thanks.

9.) 11 Sep 2018 14:28:19
Is mcgregor and Lafferty not playing again after they left with Naismith?

10.) 11 Sep 2018 14:58:29
Jaj73, they didn’t hold a press conference 😭😡.

08 Sep 2018 19:09:55
Steven Davis free contract end of season but he will be 34 would you take him back?

RfC_Chris

1.) 08 Sep 2018 19:57:06
I’d take him in January.

2.) 08 Sep 2018 20:02:36
100% yes.

3.) 08 Sep 2018 20:58:03
a big no--we are moving forward as a team and as a business. we need sen players who can be bought for a snip and sold, like dembele, virgil vd, Armstrong etal.

4.) 09 Sep 2018 02:24:53
No. He's almost done and couldn't take the frantic horrors of our game any more. Wonderful player for us, but that was years ago. Time to move on from this.

5.) 09 Sep 2018 09:13:36
deecee buying players then selling them is not moving forwards. Buying players and building a team is.

6.) 09 Sep 2018 10:09:00
Nothing wrong with buying players, then selling them on at a profit. It's how we become club that doesn't need 'soft loans' to see out the season.

7.) 09 Sep 2018 15:59:35
take the wee man back in a heartbeat.

07 Sep 2018 19:06:25
Everyone lumping on Belgium tonight aye. Lukaku will destroy john sutter lol.

RfC_Chris

1.) 08 Sep 2018 06:18:46
I did, nothing to do with not wanting Scotland to win, I do, just easy money that's all.

05 Sep 2018 13:25:59
Premier league to start trialing VAR for 15 matches after international break. Would be nice to have all that sweat TV money for VAR, goal line tech and better training for refs.

Still a team building process, players gelling, manager trying new formations. It will take time but we have the makings of a team that is capable of winning the league or at the very least a cup.

It will take a strong SFA to come out and condem them from next season but won't happen. I think we have 4 teams out of 12 using plastic pitches. 1 in every 3 teams not a great way to raise the profile of the league.

There are too many problems with plastic pitches.
Increased injury risk - older players end up with knee and back problems. Murphy out for season.
Influences team selection.
The ball sticks and bounces randomly.
You can't slide tackle unless you want a skin graph.

If livingston finish top 6 this season i can see other teams getting rid of grass and installing plastic because its becoming a weapon.
