Over £40k season tickets sold. Superb . Keep it going everyone.

29 Jun 2016 23:30:07
Brilliant mon the gers.

30 Jun 2016 07:42:59
That's an expensive season ticket.

29 Jun 2016 21:54:43
With chelsea signing that belgian striker i would love warburton to try a loan for either dominic solanke or tammy abraham would be a great either of them . doubt we could get them though.

30 Jun 2016 09:03:58
Not sure we need any loan signings as would like to see what hardie Murdoch Thompson and Walsh offer in preseason and if the magic hat feels he wants to loan them out 1st half of the season so be it. Because I think we need these boys for next season to push us on and show the academy boys there is a way to 1st team.

30 Jun 2016 13:30:54
Laudo11

Think if any of the young players you mention get loaned out then it has to signal the end of their Rangers career. All 4 really need to make their mark this season and hopefully they will.

29 Jun 2016 21:28:26
anyone heard anything about young Murdoch joining McCall at Bradford?

29 Jun 2016 22:56:16
I know Stuart McCall rates him highly so might be true.

Thought he showed a lot of promise myself.

30 Jun 2016 07:23:52
I seriously hope not, I thought murdoch looked a great wee player. Defo had potential I only hope W+W see it and keep the boy.

29 Jun 2016 21:21:07
Lads someone going to tell warbs we need centre halfs and centre forwards lol no more midfielders or wide players, I'm worried! Every top manager builds round his centre halfs.

29 Jun 2016 22:36:12
Do we have lots of cover for full backs? No! So let mw sign who he thinks he needs. As for throwing money at anyone let's calm down. If the manager wanted to spend money I reckon there'd be some there but mcpartland and mw will sign who they want.

30 Jun 2016 08:28:33
Mate, you do realise we still have time to sign players? No need to panic buy just because the fans want certain positions filled. I'm sure the gaffer plus his background staff are actively looking to fill the positions they deem necessary with added quality to what we already have. I do agree that a commanding centre half in the mid to late twenties bracket along with a proven goal scorer would certainly be beneficial to our current crop of players but whoever MW brings in he has my backing 100% as I fully trust his abilities to procure talent.

30 Jun 2016 09:49:11
Adamchook. Aren't Crooks and Hill centre backs? Also, we have young Hardie as a centre forward plus Miller and Waghorn who are good goalscorers. I really hope Warbuton gives one or two of the young players a real chance in the first team squad (e. g. Walsh, Hardie, Burt, Murdoch) and not do what McCoist did and ignore them completely.

30 Jun 2016 10:47:37
Last week mw said he wants 3 players. Cover for the fb positions a st and a cb. Every player we have been linked with since have been cb and st so i think he knows we need cb and st.

29 Jun 2016 20:56:18
As a couple of others have mentioned Hodson was not the player I would have expected us to sign but then again neither were the lads we brought in last year. The rest of our signings have been better than I had expected so I'll trust the manager. I'd really love us to sign an out and ou tr.

29 Jun 2016 20:26:12
Is anyone really excited about the calibre of loan player we might bring in?

Didn't think we'd ever get someone with the potential of Gedion Zelalem on loan at all never mind when we were in the Championship.

Now that we're back in the top flight and going for the title, can you imagine who we can bring in now?

There are the obvious ones, Pritchard, Winks etc.

The Liverpool and Tottenham connections should do us well near the end of this window.

29 Jun 2016 21:01:35
Thorn76, like you i hope and believe that any loan signings will be top notch, however must disagree re Zelamen, afraid to say i thought he brought us nothing, indeed on occasions was like playing a man short, well he certainly was not suited to the level of football we were playing in.

29 Jun 2016 21:16:38
Yes think I agree, 2-3 quality young loans of same quality of Zalalem/ Ball/ Owowa will do nicely. Currently I make it we are 6 players down on first team squad from last year and have now added 8 as replacement. If we make 3 more acquisitions plus 3 quality loans the 1st team square will be 8 up on last season plus our loanees returning (e. g. Hardie) judged good enough for 1st team squad. So in terms of numbers the squad should be fine.

29 Jun 2016 22:38:10
How's about Wilson and Powell from man u or chuba akpom from arsenal. just throwing them out there.

30 Jun 2016 09:50:41
Think Powell is away elsewhere already.
Wilson's a good shout though.

29 Jun 2016 19:58:12
As much as I'm happy we're moving on and signing a few good players, if we're not buying players were is our money from the season tickets going! Just asking!

29 Jun 2016 20:20:12
we have a business to run and salaries and wages to pay, where do you think its going?
Buildings to maintain, grounds to maintain, utilities to pay for etc etc
Maybe you should attend a shareholders meeting and ask there?

29 Jun 2016 21:19:19
must have touched a wee nerve Bill sorry for asking!

29 Jun 2016 21:57:52
Bongo got to crawl before we walk, we are doing ok, let's get fat cat Ashley off our tail and then we can get decent money through the retail side, too many people are expecting too much too soon, although personally I think we are coming along fine .

29 Jun 2016 22:49:44
You hit the nail on the head Brian-p, we must do everything pronto to sort out the retail side of things as there's great sums of money for our club to make selling replica home, away and 3rd kits etc, I only hope we're going to hear something positive on this subject very shortly as its unbelievable a club our size still can't make the shirts available to buy for our fans and by that I mean the club making a lot more money instead of ashley and sports direct!

29 Jun 2016 22:55:03
Wee Bill you are right. For goodness sake, we must learn from the ridiculous overspending of the past. I think King and co and Warbs are doing brilliantly. We don't need £50 million to beat Celtic into second place!

30 Jun 2016 08:57:39
Guys just because we are not paying transfer fees on majority of purchases (except compensation Crooks, Windass and Rossiter) doesn't mean we aren't spending.
Dont know the exact wages but Rossiter is reportedly on £10k, Barton £10k, Krancjar £10k, then Crooks, Windass, Hill, Gilks and Hodson £2-5k that's £2.5m plus signing on fees, win bonuses, Agent fees and performance related bonuses and wage rise clauses for some. Then there's improved contracts for McKay, Wallace et al not to mention out greatest assest Warburton.
I imagine we can recruit some very good loan signings due to our contacts, improved league status and track record of deveoping these guys.
We have signed 8 from 6 who have left I like everyone else would like a Striker and CH but won't panic if its a good loan player we secure to fill these gaps.
The transfer window only officially opens tomorrow and we are in great shape.
#Andnowwehavepromotionwe'regoingfor55!

30 Jun 2016 09:17:49
Remember loan players are not free or even cheap sometimes.

29 Jun 2016 18:50:57
See that the youngsters Hardie and Walsh have positive mentions in the press saying how much looking forward to US training camp and the new season. Think this is great. Any new on young Murdoch or is he joining McCall at Bradford?

29 Jun 2016 18:09:26
Guys what do yous think of onyewu training with us in states with view to signing? Had few injuries but could be a good addition? Thoughts? And Hodson am not sure about but surely he can defend better than tav! Who I like but is murder at times defending .

29 Jun 2016 19:31:14
Onyewu not for me the hasn't played in about 14 months think we can use the money on better than him tbh.

29 Jun 2016 21:52:35
I think if the big man is over his injurys. He could more then do us a turn as he has a real physical presence about him which we have been badly missing.

29 Jun 2016 23:57:38
Good to have a US Guy on the books just from the Commercial angle and the Marketing Opportunities and it keeps our name at the top in the USA. Whether he is a major contributor of the park is open to debate!

{Ed018's Note - he won't be much of contributor on the park}

29 Jun 2016 17:52:53
See that the youngsters Hardie and Walsh have positive mentions in the press saying how much looking forward to US training camp and the new season. Think this is great. Any new on young Murdoch or is he joining McCall at Bradford?

29 Jun 2016 18:20:51
Fd, yes mate i agree and fully support our younger players in there development, ide also like to pass on my support to jack mcdonald, the cousing of young walsh, he has just turned pro on the golf circuit.

29 Jun 2016 16:53:44
I wonder how much Hodson went for, I know it says he came for an undisclosed fee on a 3 year deal but I was thinking around £500k, maybe less, thoughts?

29 Jun 2016 17:01:36
much less hopefully something around £150k-£200k.

29 Jun 2016 18:00:24
I can't see it being any more than 100k. I am sure he was in the last year of his contract and was surplus to requirements hence why he was on loan at Kilmarnock.

29 Jun 2016 22:59:40
£500K. Not a chance. 100K max I would have thought.

29 Jun 2016 17:21:53
45 to 80 k.

30 Jun 2016 13:48:20
60k I heard.

29 Jun 2016 15:33:35
My personal assessment of the squad so far.

GK wes now has competiton from gilks although we expect him to remain as our number one there could be the potential of a further signing here or someone from our youth could potentially take a place as number three.

At right back we have Tav, who is a very technical and expressive player not necessarily the best defender. However if we sign Hodson he can cover this position, as well as hopefully left back. As a team we were very fortunate surrounding injuries in that department last season. I do feel that hodson is a much safer player than wallace and tav however that may be exactly what we need at times and there is nothing to say he can't step in if either gets injured or develop as a player having both around him.

At centre back I personally feel we are harsh on. Last season in our biggest games outwith the final where the whole team under performed I feel our centre backs were fairy competent in the big games especially when Dom Ball was sistting in front of them and they we only played one attacking full back (Usually against premiership opposition and that for me was when they looked there best) I feel we will play much more like this next season and this will hopefully enable us with the experience added to defend much better as a team. You look at a Clint Hill and you can only have admiration for the man. He has clearly been there and done it and he having listened to his interviews appears very humble and grateful for the opportunity he has. It can only be a positive signing looking back at our defensive inexperience last season. Whether the guy from USA signs or not I still expect another potential starting centre back to be signed before the end of the window.

In midfield last season we had Holt who I feel was a real stand out and of the midfielders from last season I feel he has the best chance of holding a starting position. Haliday is I good player but I feel with the quality we have signed has fell down the pecking order but I'm open to being proven wrong.

You look at the quality in the four midfield additions made and I don't think anyone is really taking it seriously. Joey Baron was playing in a league better than our own. He was the player of the year in a team that came first in the league. He was also in the team of the year although he wasn't voted player of the year in that competition. However his quality over the years have been evident. Over shadowed by his nature at times and the stories that come with him but arguments can be made if he is currently the best player in Scottish football. Jordan Rossiter is one of England's best prospects Liverpool expecting and someone probably would have paid the £8,000,000 for him. Because of our intelligence in the transfer market we managed to use the system to get him for £250,000. That has to be the best piece of business in the window. He can't lose that value he will never be worth £250,000 in his career with the clubs he's been to and experience especially if develops into a talent which with where our club is going is the key aim I expect a big pay out one day from this transfer. Kranjcar is a player with a lot of quality shown over the years capped nearly 90 times by Croatia who aren't a bad footballing country. If he gets going he could be that something special that we lacked at times last season to unlock the more stubborn defences we will have to face this season. Since teams are obviously a step up in level.

I personally believe that Crooks will be a starter potentially at CB the guys a monster but he has quality on the ball too. He may be deployed in the CDM. The guy can play anywhere across the front and that includes striker whether or not he would be prolific he clearly has quality and our team would provide him chances so who knows he could even potentially play there that's the level of flexibility this guy has in his game. A key attribute in most of Warburton's signings. Windass however I'm not sure on but high things have been said of him and we can only wait and see what he will bring to the table but he does look like a fairly built guy playing on the wing which is different from what we have there (I think he's a bigger size than Ohalleron but i'm not sure) . Forrester also has the potential to play here and had shown at times next season he had a real unique nature to his game which he used to exploit teams and offered that little bit different. Can also be deployed wide.

Players like Waghorn, Mckay and Miller speak from themselves I don't need to tell you what they bring to the table all stand outs Miller in particular earning his contract. He will play a part this season. O'Halleron and Forrester can cover these positions although I do feel personally we really over paid for MOH. I also expect a quality striker to be signed by the end of the window.

I personally am insure where most of the complaints come from. I think every signing the management team has made so far is correct. I don't know who you would have signed instead of these players and all for under £400,000 this window so far. Shows there will be room for a £1,500,000 signing including wages. I feel the future is bright for Rangers and everything surrounding it and I really feel as if fans should just get behind the team and the board so we can flourish and be successful. Only together can we get our club back to the glory days.

29 Jun 2016 16:17:00
Well said Ross I personally think they don't need to spend much this season due to not being in Europe. I think they are keeping money for next season to attract a better quality of player. I would like to see a striker cumming in just wonder who that will be.

29 Jun 2016 16:55:12
I feel if we could get Cummings for around 750k then our squad is solid for the new season.

29 Jun 2016 17:52:15
Great post Ross, well thought and well written, I honestly don't understand were the flack comes from in our signings so far, the club have spent very wisely and have replaced players at a better standard than the ones that left, well done all at management level, very smart business.

29 Jun 2016 19:08:30
Appreciate it Dellboy, some short sighted people forget the spending of previous regimes (not only Murray but Whyte and Green) offering huge contracts to lesser players. It's black and white to me I say it a lot but some people are just into complaining.

29 Jun 2016 22:40:39
Ross's

Decent post however Tavernier can't defend.

29 Jun 2016 15:48:34
O'halleron was a steal, and should be used as a striker next season.

29 Jun 2016 15:59:38
Really good posting Ross, wish more posters were as positive as yourself, but then again it is Rangers banter and everyone has the right to express their opinion.

29 Jun 2016 13:40:58
I wish we could watch some of the training sessions online to see how the team are getting on.

29 Jun 2016 15:38:54
Rangers official page will most likely compile a short video by the weekend.

29 Jun 2016 18:50:54
Hope so I remember years ago rangers tv on sky would have a lot of training sessions and pre season games on.

29 Jun 2016 14:38:23
What about Lee Gregory he had a good season with Millwall and has a 1.5/ 2M price tag on him can't image he will be on much at Millwall, could be wrong tho. But i'd be happy with with.

29 Jun 2016 14:35:11
Fellow gers. Has this website turned into a doom and gloom page within the last 24hrs?

I agree that the dembele signing for Celtic is a major coup but let's see how good he is when he's expected to score and win every week.

As for our signings this season, I did not know very much about most of the players we brought in last season and they win us the league, beat Celtic and got us to a cup final ( which we should have won )

No matter who we bring in, wether they are 17 or 37 I will support them as long as they are giving 100% for the team.

Let's get behind the management team rather than questioning every name we sign or are linked with.

29 Jun 2016 15:09:58
yes I understand where you are coming from but I do understand why people are worried that was hbis first signing not his last and if he gets say another 2 or 3 of that calibre they will be hard to stop!

thaty being said I think warburton will have us playing the better football and they won't get as much attacking time as us.

29 Jun 2016 15:34:18
I think it's a mix of people reading to much into the media hype and others paying to much attention to Celtic.

Remember when everyone said that they had two teams that could pump us in that semi final?

I'm excited about seeing the team develop as the season goes on and I am interested to see how the new lads adapt to Warburtons style.

29 Jun 2016 15:46:04
Agreed it's his firsts signing but let's face facts here, they aren't going to sign joe Allen or guys like that. They simple won't risk that amount of money, I don't care what Rodgers says. He has a lot more work to do than MW, he has to assess what he has and make his mind up about who stays and who goes. As Iv said before, it's about what we do not them.

29 Jun 2016 18:01:39
Anyone who thought that Brendan Rodgers wouldn't get serious backing by Celtics board, well let's just say that was never going to happen, I'm delighted with our business so far, we will have a great team spirit and sometimes that can beat anything, anyway the more great players in our league can only benefit Rangers and Celtic and the rest, I can't wait till August.

29 Jun 2016 15:20:44
Doesn't matter who they sign. I'm sure mcpartland had seen he was out of contract as he seems to know everything down south. Maybe he wasn't what mw wanted or maybe his wages where shockingly high.

30 Jun 2016 07:06:35
seems pretty obvious Dembelle went to celtic with the promise of CL football and in the starting 11 most weeks, we shall see if he hacks it.

29 Jun 2016 14:28:11
kyle lafferty anyone-----matured since his time with us----think he would fit in---.

29 Jun 2016 15:31:41
f*ck naw.

29 Jun 2016 17:12:29
Yes. Much better striker than anything we have.

29 Jun 2016 17:38:47
Lafferty against wales at euros was enough for me brings nothing except trouble.

30 Jun 2016 00:39:01
100% get this guy tae f*ck.

29 Jun 2016 14:15:23
Had a lot of hope for next season but sadly the transfer business is not inspiring me. Got off to a promising start but as it has gone on our moves look increasingly desperate to me. In particular this tendency of MW to bring very average players to ibrox simply because he has worked with them before. I said it last season that he needed to show that he could evolve beyond the level he has worked at and I simply don't see it.

The one signing we had to make, still hasn't happened. We need a striker who can get us goals in spl. Who have we been linked with a series of lower league misfits whilst Celtic sign a striker of real quality.

I hope I'm wrong. Also if you disagree, fine, but be mature and don't get upset. Some of the reactions to critical opinions on this site are utterly pathetic. This is my view, you are welcome to your own. Only time will tell who is right, I won't be upset if I'm wrong.

29 Jun 2016 14:23:51
Warburton has said a few times that a striker is still to come. We want 3 more signings, one of which seems to be Hodson. one of the others a striker (Which is what you seem to want) the other I have no idea who is or where they will play. time will tell Luigi. Can I remind you that the transfer window hasn't even opened yet in England. still plenty of time to go.

29 Jun 2016 14:30:51
I've got a opinion and it is that you are by far the biggest anti rangers fan on here! MW could sign messi tomorrow and you was probably moan about his age! Take a break man and change your channel from Celtic TV! You go on about a striker of real quality it's all paper talk 17 goals in 56 games is far from quality!

29 Jun 2016 14:50:07
It's Warburtons way to look for gems and last season we seen some great gems. I have complete faith that the players that have come in will be great for us . I understand people want big signings but we can't go down that road again we need to find value for money.

29 Jun 2016 18:05:26
Can we not just wait and see how our new players perform first before slating them. it's getting annoying now, last January was the same. harry who? Well his name is Harry forrester and he's going to light up the spl. in warns i trust.

29 Jun 2016 13:44:41
Apart from the Barton and maybe the Kranjcar deal, would fellow fans have been surprised if we were able to sign the standard of player we are after just now when we were competing for the Championship title?

The standard of player we are after is quite shocking or at least the standard of player we are being seriously linked with.

Gilks, Hodson, Hill, Windass, Crooks and even Rossiter to an extent would have likely signed had we went for them last season. That's alarming.

29 Jun 2016 14:03:54
Waghorn, Tavernier, Holt, Halliday, foderingham kiernan and Wilson won us that league last season.

I knew only one of them before we signed them and the lads we are signing now will step up to the standard on offer in the SPFL, I am sure.

29 Jun 2016 14:29:15
Need to wait and see as none of the new signings have kicked a ball in a competitive game yet but, admittedly we need better players to win a better standard of league.

Is Hodson better than Tavernier or Wallace?
Is Gilks better than Foderingham?
Is Hill better than Wilson or Keirnan?
Is Windass better than Waghorn?
Are Crooks and Rossiter better than Halliday and Holt?

Not convinced that any of these players are better than the ones mentioned.

29 Jun 2016 15:27:48
Waghorn and Windass play in different positions. Crooks is a holding mid, Halliday and Holt aren't. Rossiter is a playmarker who sits in the CDM spot. well atleast you compared hill to Wilson and Kiernan. Gilks Could be better than Fod, However Fod is 25 he has potential. Hodson is 24 and has potential.

29 Jun 2016 15:30:20
Are they worse than any of the lads we have though?

I don't know if they are better and like you, I am looking forward to seeing for myself next season.

If we have players of the same quality then we have a very good, robust squad in my opinion.

I guess it's a wait and see but I am happy to see that we are making signings and in positions that we need cover for.

29 Jun 2016 16:44:29
Is that we're looking for though. Just as good as the players we have. If that's the standard then I doubt it gives anyone much hope for the step up.

Heard fans saying, the squad last season would have finished second in the top flight. Doubt that tbh, finishing second this season is the tip of the mountain if these signings are our limit.

29 Jun 2016 16:55:12
Branding some of our signings increasingly desperate seems a bit unfair to me, luigi. Who are you referring to exactly and why? Hodson? Signed as full back cover (surely? ) played in the SPLfor the 2nd half of last season and was in his countrys squad for the Euros so OKif not Daniel Alves-no? Hill? he is nearly 38 yes but has played regularly at a higher level than the SPL (though not so much last season I admit) but when we signed Davie W in 2007 I can't say I was mightily impressed then and we all know what happened there. Kranjcar? Injured recently and playing 2nd tier US football but is only 31 and has been a really good player and surely can be again. Finally yes I agree that we need a good goalscoring striker but whoever we sign I am sure MW and DW can get the best out of them a la Martyn Waghorn. So I'm a bit more optimistic than you but as you see well see.

29 Jun 2016 17:13:57
Some of the players your comparing don't even play the same position. They've replaced the players who have left and they are far better.

29 Jun 2016 06:37:55
Kinda baffled at the no interest shown in the Belgium kid now at Celtic. Got Potential and at 500k when we are crying out for a striker. Can't help but think they've got a 10-20M striker on their hands.

Also will people drop the Cummings rubbish, ain't happening".

I'm alarmed now at having the big yank training with us, or it might well be a negotiation tactic to speed up the decisions of players offered contracts.

So far very little transfer fees paid but I reckon our wage bill has increased 5,6M per year.

I think Wallace is on 15k-18k p/w
And barton is definitely on 20k
With rest of the squad on between
5k-13k p/w

Rangers yearly wage budget seems to be 8M-14M roughly half of celtics.

Depending on who they sign next with Rodgers on a rolling contract celtics transfer activities could be interesting as Rodgers name has been linked with the England job.

Will Celtic be planning for the future with brenden? Who knows.

If we can win the league on half of celtic's budget, would be some achievement.

29 Jun 2016 13:01:31
forza. you talk some right mince pal

how do you know there was no interest in dembele?
the boy sounds like he's won a watch with the wages he's getting at the darkside.

we'll not go down that route again with over spending. etc
you are entitled to think what you think but those wages assumptions is mad. pure football manager thinking

no harm in letting someone train to see them first hand.

29 Jun 2016 13:11:42
How many times can a rangers fans mention them in one post lol your post is pure speculation on wages and yearly bill who cares who they signed or how much they spend don't u remeber the semi final we ran them off the park with a low budget squad and your judging the big centre half and have u ever seen him play we need experience in the squad and that's what warburton is looking for so chill out read more about rangers than them from now on.

29 Jun 2016 13:15:26
Blue man how do you know his wages at celtic. we don't even know what our players are getting paid! Or do you just believe what the papers say if it suits you.

29 Jun 2016 13:36:56
I have it on good authority that Barton is not on anywhere near £12k.

My flatmate works for Hearts and is friendly with some of their players past and present. He got his info from an ex-Hearts player, no prizes for guessing who.

29 Jun 2016 13:42:26
A 10-20M striker on their hands?

Okay, I can't look in to the future, for starters I thought England might have a good Euros, but I wouldn't mind a bet on that never happening.

29 Jun 2016 14:08:46
JohnnyG. don't read any papers at all
full of lies and hate towards us and other mince that's depressing.

i never stated any specific range of wages but it will be well known that he will be paid handsomly as no real fee is involved and he did have options from bigger clubs, so decent wages and game time.

plus i really don't think we should be worrying about who that lot sign or whatever.

29 Jun 2016 14:10:15
Dembele scored 19 goals in 64 games in the championship, don't call that impressive for a striker!

29 Jun 2016 13:58:35
Dembele is french not belgian just saying 😂😂. I have every faith that warburton will pull a rabbit out his magic hat regarding a top striker whether on loan or permanant.

29 Jun 2016 13:59:23
Good post forza, it's nice to see (once in a while) that there are fans who aren't getting well and truly carried away with things.

Your right about dembelle. Celtic have (sadly) probably just signed their best striker since Larson. Anyone who doubts his quality will look foolish fairly quickly. If LG can score over 30 a season then I fear how many he will get. He's young and still developing, within a couple of seasons he will be off to Southampton for a 15m profit.

He may never of been up for coming to us but he's EXACTLY what we need. Not beefing up squad with second rate players like Hodge - who hardly starred in a Kilmarnock shirt. Or the American defender- who has been ranked rotten ever since his Milan move.

Rossiter was an encouraging start, Barton is an understandable move, jury is out on windass and crooks, other than that I see our transfer activity as a massive missed opportunity.

Too many fans seem to have attitude that if MW says so then it's gospel. Sorry I don't, for me he can only be judged after next season. Winning championship is hardly proof of him being God, given our playing budget and standard of opponents. Even there we lost the tough games away at hibs and falkirk.

I keep seeing the opinion because we outplayed Celtic (to a draw) in cup semi-final that somehow this means we are better than them. It was a one off game, they have got rid of their diddy manager and now have signed a player of real quality.

Sorry I think we are several seasons away from challenging for title, if we make the correct moves. Which I don't think we are.

29 Jun 2016 14:23:40
Some are saying he is on as much as 50k a week, obviously hyperbole but its not out of this world to think celtic would be as stupid enough to offer him 25k rising year on year.

29 Jun 2016 15:24:50
Luigi no one thinks warbs is god but am sure he knows a player better than us what do u want supporters to do moan about all our signings so far when we haven't even seen them in a rangers shirt yet warburton is building a good team no just good individuals to sell tickets like the other lot and saying we r several seasons away from challenging for title is a joke whos to say after a couple of seasons crooks windass or rossiter won't become 5-6 million players aswel.

29 Jun 2016 18:14:52
I meant to say £20k in my post btw. Don't know where 12 came from! Haha.

29 Jun 2016 16:12:11
Des. mo can afford to pay him a fortune, knowing he'll be sold for millions, wouldn't surprise me if the boys next move is already agreed, man Utd maybe? He's virtually a loan player on a very good wage, they will know exactly where he, s going.

29 Jun 2016 02:18:58
Heard some of those Iceland players were part timers dunno which ones but i'd definetly enquire about there back line and a few others!

29 Jun 2016 11:12:50
None of them are part time they all play in leagues all over europe, dutch, swedish, norway, leagues ect.

29 Jun 2016 01:01:54
I don't really see the fascination with will Grigg 20 goals since 2007. Hardly a goal machine.

29 Jun 2016 05:19:24
Think you're looking at a different player altogether considering he scored more than twenty last year and scored more than twenty two seasons ago too.

29 Jun 2016 06:25:40
Do we have a name or is this a Quiz site!

29 Jun 2016 10:35:59
You do realise he's only 24. In 2007 he was 15! Take it you got mixed up.

29 Jun 2016 11:29:39
50 goals in 2 seasons. Where did you pluck the 20 goals since 2007 from? I'd love to know who you got him confused with.

29 Jun 2016 00:57:10
Anyone got anymore info on Dominic ball. Seen a story a couple of weeks back that a deal was on the cards. Can play in a variety of positions and a good age to develop. We have all seen first hand how good he can be. What about the Marriapa story. The guy looked a decent player when given game time at palace. Plenty experience and at 29 can still gives 3-4 good seasons!

29 Jun 2016 02:24:25
If we got Ball then would we need to bring in Hodson, I trust Warbs but always thought Aird had a decent chance to step up too?

29 Jun 2016 08:06:50
Ball is with Tottenham currently. Pochettino wants to see if he can use Ball. if he decides he can't Warburton will then see if we need him or not. Mariappa, is meant to be mulling over a few different offers.

29 Jun 2016 05:38:55
I reckon if marriapa and ball were to sign they would have by now. both free agents so can dign.

29 Jun 2016 00:19:59
Wonder how much for Nouha Dicko?

29 Jun 2016 05:31:35
The guy is is just back from a knee cruciate ligament injury so don't feel he's one we should think about, plus his market value is 1.8mil, we can't afford that and contacted till 2018 I think.
Looked at a Senegal player, out of contract end of this month. Famara Diedhiou plays in French Ligue 2, 23 years old 1.92 tall played 38 games 22 goals and 4 assists, valued at 1.75 mil. Could be worth out scouts checking up on. Would like thoughts from others.

29 Jun 2016 07:25:55
Would he not be cheaper considering he's just bk from serious injury mate?
He was out 9 months and that's him bk training again, Looks like he would rip a lot of defence's apart.

29 Jun 2016 08:02:23
Have you's did the background checks on these guys to make sure they fit the system warbs will be raging if yous haven't.

29 Jun 2016 09:05:12
Thebear82 what you on about, are you talking about 4×4×2, 4×3×1×2 or what. It's all good watching fast passing possession football, but in my view getting the ball in the net is important. You can have 60% possession but if you don't score goals you're not getting the 3 points per game. If the games not going your way you must change something in order to win. There's video's of the Senegal player I posted about on utube, have a look and see if you think he would be good for our club.

29 Jun 2016 09:54:43
Do I detect a hint of sarcasm in your post, thebear82?

29 Jun 2016 10:30:50
FFS take yourself a bit less seriously. BANTER forum.

29 Jun 2016 00:02:00
Can you guys stop complaining about the 34 year old American on trial I'm even going to attempt his name he's just training for now if he wins a deal I'm happy as that means he's impressed MW which is more valid than your shit opinions. Yours sincerely Wee Mental Davey.

29 Jun 2016 08:20:13
Folk not allowed an opinion big wee mental Davie.

29 Jun 2016 08:35:19
That guys a machine hope he's been keeping him self fit if he wins a deal then fair play to him another pocket for broon and co but if he's not good enough or fit enough then it's a no no see yi latter by by then.

29 Jun 2016 09:31:17
Generally opinions have to be formed on some sort of basis. The man is saying we don't have the basis to pass judgement which is correct. We can't stop you from having your opinion it doesn't mean it is correct or even a worthwhile use of space. MW is far more intelligent in football terms than us as well as the whole footballing department. It is completely dumb for us to pass judgement on players WE HAVEN'T SEEN PLAY in a Rangers shirt like we have more information than the people making the decision. The guys on trial and if he cuts it he will be offered a contract that should be enough for the Rangers support. All negative comments bring is a negative outlook on the club. The future is bright for us and we are moving in the correct direction. We can't stop the negative people from posting negative posts but let's not pretend we live in a world where everyone's opinion matters and is of equal value the only opinion that should matter to us all is the opinion of Mark Warburton.

29 Jun 2016 12:07:36
Heres some information for you. the guy has struggled to get any game time at QPR and Sheffield Wednesday and did not make a single first team appearance for AC. 34 years old, constantly injured. Another pocket for Brown Humey? Gee yerself peace.

29 Jun 2016 13:09:27
Listen mate am no saying he's good enough or fit enough but who knows no me anyway I seen he wasn't playing games but he's got a trial so why slate him he's got his chance I'll wait n see before a judge if I would like him at rangers.

29 Jun 2016 14:25:42
Exactly humey its no like he's even been offered a contract but some people need to jump down the throat to express there distaste that we would offer someone a trail. Key world being TRAIL. If he's no good enough MW has said he will say "thank you very much" and he will move on. what's the big deal? Mountains out of molehills **** sake constant on this site.

28 Jun 2016 23:13:20
Got to say this will have been an outstanding transfer window if the last few signings we make are Hill, Gilks, Hodson, Oneywu and Vuaghun.

Not one of them a starter. Need be careful here or it'll sound like negativity and criticism but wonderful job so far.

Bring on 55 ;)

29 Jun 2016 08:09:00
We aren't looking for starters. we are looking for players to contest for a starting spot. Experienced keeps are great, Gilks could do a great job for us. Hodson is 24, put out on loan by MK Dons, Forrester was in the reserves of Doncaster. That worked out well for us.

29 Jun 2016 10:39:03
Hodson is as good if not better than tavernier in my opinion.

28 Jun 2016 22:45:01
Bears reading a lot about players that are too old, not had enough game time! These guys are here to challenge for the title, but Qualifying for the Europe Lge is a must! Its a garunteed 8m, then the rebuilding continues. So other than Hill at 37 and app one of the fittest acc to Rednapp, Barton at 33 will have more than enough in his locker to compete and Nico has just turned 31. Got a feelin Warbs and Mcparland are going to bring in a couple of exciting forwards on loan from the likes of a Chelsea or Man City someone capping on the door of first team. Why spend 1m if that's all u have just to appease people, just my opinion but think the Management will have something up their sleeve to excite fans.

29 Jun 2016 07:07:12
I said this the other day mate our strikers will be loan signings, let's hope they are of a high calibre and not 18yo boys.
