However he is not first choice and has not been for Brugge. He's only started 13 of those 40 games and has 1100 mins. For example, Meghoma played 44 games for us with 3000 mins. So point still stands.

I would expect Rangers to pursue a 1 year loan deal with the prospect of attracting a senior proven striker who isn't getting as many starts as they would like with parent club.

Some options could be:
Fullkrug - West Ham
Nketiah - Palace
Broja - Burnley
Andre Silva - Leipzig


Also some interesting options for younger development type loan but with Premier League experience.

From what I am hearing we are looking at both Hugo Siquet and Kosta Nedeljkovic, both talented young right backs. From what I am being told Kosta Nedeljkovic is plan A, loan to buy option, and Hugo is plan B, but there has also been discussions about maybe signing both as both Sterling and McCrotie are seen as players who can play multiple positions.



I have not seen Hugo play but have seen Kosta and he looks like he could be sold and have great sell on value.

It is being rumoured he is out for 4-6 weeks, but has not been confirmed, but what I've heard is it feared within the club that he could be for a longer period, but until we hear from the manager, then we won't know for certain and I wish we would steer clear of Archer and the whole over priced English market.

Why can we not scout the Brazilian market and Argentinian and the rest of South America? There are a few gems you could pick up there while they are young. Yeah, we need experience, but we also need players for the future with future sell on value.

He's a great player. Club Brugge are known for finding class talent. I'm sure, in their defence alone, they've got 4/5 young boys, all under 25, that are internationalists - Meijer, Seys, Sabbe, to name a few.

Hugo Siquet is a very good footballer. Rommans/Penrice one side Siquet/Sterling the other. I'd be happy with that. There's 2 reasons why I think I'd like this more than the Serbian player. 1 is the Serb's injury history. And the 2nd is Siquet is 24 and has a bit more experience, but is still young.

Hopefully the PSV guy comes for his medical today. Whilst at the same time trying to get Penrice and Siquet over the line. Obviously they spoke about another wide right option and CB.

And if Chermiti's injury is serious, then I'd loan the best forward I could. Probably a position of / I'm missing, but it would be a good step in the correct direction for me.

Obviously my comment is based on an assumption that we are definitely interested in Siquet. I've got no idea if it's true. But does sound plausible.

Then it's up to DM to make them a team. A proper cohesive team.

According to RR, we have moved a RB up the priority list as DM has used 4 players at RB in 3 games. Siquet and Nedeljkovic are being looked at as we will possibly move Sterling into CB as an option.

An LB is also being looked for and Penrice is the most likely as it stands.

We will go for another RW to challenge Yokota, as both Gassama and Curtis are seen as LW, with Driouech expected to be the starting LW.

Other incomings will depend on outgoings, especially what happens with Raskin and then Chermiti's injury and Miovski staying or going.

We need a manager and a defensive coach, who can teach our defence about ball watching and teach them to be aware of what's going on around them, especially Fernandez. He thinks he's another Franc Beckenbaur, he's maybe good at corners for us and good at playing with the ball at his feet, but everybody's Hearts are in their mouths waiting for a blunder.

The business done early, Shankland, Mcrorie, even Devlin to an extent, are reliable players who can play several positions, and bring knowledge of Scottish football. Creating foundations. Then, in phase 2, you introduce players to that environment, such as Dragovic and Yokoto. We will bring in a Rb to start and we have Mcrorie and Sterling to cover several positions.

As professional players, almost all who have come through an academy, do they really need to be coached on ball watching & marking forwards who, god forbid, move occasionally.

I was told we enquired about availability before McInnes came in, and then told McInnes was also quite intrigued at the fact we could get Penrice on the cheap. Goal posts moved and now looks like we'll sign him with either an obligation or option to buy.

Pretty confident he'll be a Rangers player by end of window albeit not on what I first thought would happen.
