John 227 not Kyle fox mate it’s someone on the board.

Neil coulter

1.) 20 Nov 2023 12:14:06
Cool Neil. Time will tell if any one on the board wants more shares.

2.) 20 Nov 2023 12:21:09
John Halsted is the name your looking for.

I read somewhere that he wanted to be more involved with the club than what he is doing now hence why rumours flying around that he wants to invest more into club.

With a portfolio worth around 7bn it can't hurt to see what he can offer?.

3.) 20 Nov 2023 12:49:10
5andy. He may be about to become vice chairman at agm.

4.) 20 Nov 2023 13:06:54
I would love to think that this John Halsted rumour is true . The board have done a fantastic job getting the club back on track after the " charlatan years " but I just feel that an injection of serious money could see us really kick on, under this manager. For all Celtic have been getting money in from the CL and sale of players it was Desmond splashing the cash to get Rodgers the first time and some serious signings that really pushed them in front of us, both on the field and financially. Without going daft, if we had someone with real financial clout behind us it would make a huge difference .

5.) 20 Nov 2023 13:43:38
Wsl and how does that work for Europe.

6.) 20 Nov 2023 15:19:04
he would need to rename Ibrox or something similar.

7.) 20 Nov 2023 15:38:04
I suppose any investment that might put us in pole position to win the league titles will give us a better chance to gain CL monies. If we've a chance of any cash investment then surely it would make sense to let most if not all player contracts lapse when they're due to expire. Guys like Barasic and Lundstrum still need to show a level of performance to attract other clubs when the time comes. Hence any suitable investment if it's there, should be used where and when needed to replace such players.

8.) 20 Nov 2023 16:35:55
Cash investment I'm the club doesn't immediately translate to a transfer kitty.

FFP means we are restricted in terms of what we can spend due to the low level of income that we generate (in comparative terms) .

This is probably the real reason we haven't seen major investment in either us or Celtic.

9.) 20 Nov 2023 19:37:09
There are clever ways around FFP as long as you don`t kick the arse out of it, there must be, otherwise the State owned clubs couldn`t invest the money they do. I`m not saying put in hundreds of millions but there could be a chance to increase sponsorship deals, sponsor the stadium etc that would allow him to put in a few million. Desmond does it through Magners. We can`t attract major sponsors because of the league we`re in but if there was someone who wanted to pay better money for this regardless of the league it would start us on a path that would hopefully mean more CL qualifications and wins when we get there . Speculate to accumulate, unfortunately we don`t have the cash to do the initial speculating at the moment.

10.) 20 Nov 2023 19:56:21
Clever ways round about it? Yeah Everton tried that ?‍♂️ Man City have 115 charges trying that wsl you just can’t throw money at a club anymore.

11.) 20 Nov 2023 20:22:08
There’s always ways around the law wsl as long as ye don’t go too far, as u say.

How much could we realistically expect for renaming the stadium?

Say 10 year deal, what is the going rate?

12.) 21 Nov 2023 09:47:35
Everton tried it badly! That owner is an absolute tool!

13.) 21 Nov 2023 10:18:15
Gdog Stevie etc are u saying we need to operate illegally.

14.) 21 Nov 2023 11:38:07
Not atall John, never break the law, that’s my motto ?
Naw, there’s ways around these rules while stil operating within the law.

Stadium sponsorship and extra sponsors on strips as example, sponsoring training tops perhaps.

All ways of generating income u otherwise wouldn’t have.
If someone with connections to the club wants to sponsor certain things then that’s a way around the problem of financial restraints.

I would do it with guidance of legal experts and stick within what they advise.

15.) 21 Nov 2023 13:57:27
how can you work around laws with breaking them (rules are laws) .
Last time we took legal expert guidance we ended up with EBT and well the rest is history.
someone buying more shares doesn't put money in the club it puts money in the pocket of whoever he buys the shares from.

16.) 21 Nov 2023 14:49:27
Did we not vote to allow more shares being made which brings the existing shares worth less but brings money into club, this can only be done to a certain extent that’s why loans can be transferred into shares, am just guessing please fire back if I am talking single fish I won’t take it heart troops.

17.) 21 Nov 2023 19:43:20
Stormtrooper there are more to the issues with EPL clubs than just a shareholder investing a few million in the club in a clever, legal way. Man City have all they charges against them by the EPL but UEFA won`t touch them . let's wait and see if the EPL have the balls to do anything . If thev`ve won all they trophies and made all that money and then get hit by a fine no matter how big they`ll say it was worth it and move on . It seems ridiculous to me that City, balance the books, invest in the local infrastructure and make huge profits and get done for FFP when others post losses year after year and they are deemed okay.

19 Nov 2023 21:02:50
Has anyone heard about an American investor getting heavily involved in us and going to put serious money in?

Neil coulter

1.) 19 Nov 2023 21:15:13
Feel like this type of rumour comes up every 3 months or so and never comes to fruition, always hoping though.

2.) 19 Nov 2023 21:20:08
Neil do u mean Kyle fox.

3.) 19 Nov 2023 22:13:16
John 227, who is Kyle Fox. ?

4.) 19 Nov 2023 23:29:24
Ah! Investment?, must be near AGM time.
Wheres Hong Kong when you need them!

5.) 20 nov 2023 05:54:49
surely shes not back on the scene john?

6.) 20 Nov 2023 07:09:21
Tom I’m sure she sayed stage would still try and buy as much as 25-30% of the club even after the court case.

7.) 20 Nov 2023 09:32:38
Not that I’m aware of Tom, just wondering if that was who poster referring to.

Kyle fox was trying to front a deal she claimed

get rangers 75 million shown up to be a fly by night she allegedly a front for Ashley.

18 Jun 2023 11:18:37
Heard we are looking at Tasos Douvikas you heard anything about him John?

Neil coulter

1.) 18 Jun 2023 12:00:22
It would take about £7m. Not happening.

2.) 18 Jun 2023 12:47:40
Certainly looks a good player, it would take around 7 million to get him, I wouldn't rule him out, imo we could go to that figure.

3.) 18 Jun 2023 13:00:51
He looks a good player for his age but I tend to think he's having a good year more than being a 7million worth striker. I'd rather take that money pay for Palma and with left over take a gamble player from smaller league with good stats.

4.) 18 Jun 2023 13:04:16
If we're even contemplating paying that for the greek striker i would prefer us to pay around the same amount and get haji wright instead ?.

5.) 18 Jun 2023 13:17:59
Haji wright will go for more than 7m, think his club holding out for 10m+.

6.) 18 Jun 2023 13:27:47
Don't understand why folk seem happy to take Wright but are unhappy with Lammers even though they've scored the exact same amount of goals in their career and Lammers actually has a good few more assists. I know there's more to it than just nose numbers but over all there's very little between them.

7.) 18 Jun 2023 13:28:58
Can someone explain why we can't?
€7million Douvikas
€4million Dessers
€3million Lammers
€1.5million Cufentes.
Total €15.5 Million

Move on
Davies £3.5Million
Kamara £5Million
Wright £1Million
McLaughlin £1Million

Total £10.5Million.
Also we would be open to offers for Barasic and Hagi

That would be a net spend of £5Million.
Thats not unachievable and its not as if we pay it all up front.

It's not all doom and gloom guys+.

8.) 18 Jun 2023 13:41:00
7mill for a guy who's had one good year and even his international manager doesn't seem to rate him?

Price seems inflated off the back of the season he's had but he looks like his play style fits what we would be looking for.

9.) 18 Jun 2023 13:42:54
7 million won’t get you haji wright they want 10 for him.

10.) 18 Jun 2023 14:03:54
Never heard guy but we ain't penniless. Previous dealings could be reinvested in team no probs. 7m not out our reach considering. I fully trust MB particularly if CF we require.

11.) 18 Jun 2023 14:52:39
I never said Ranger were “penniless”. But the club cannot afford to spend £7m on one player during a summer rebuild when at least 6-7 new guys will come in. What money Rangers do have will be spread across a few players. If Rangers spend the guts of £7m on Dessers, Cifuentes, and Panzo, then my guess would be the summer budget has gone. I think the club would need to sell before they can buy beyond that.

Rangers really need to improve on their player sales so when the transfer windows open up they have more financial clout to go and make a real impact. The sales of Patterson, Aribo, and Bassey were very profitable but I struggle to think of any more beyond that. For the most part, the club spend more than they make during transfer windows and that’s been happening for over a decade now. They really need to improve in this area and hopefully a new DoF is the first step towards doing that.

12.) 18 Jun 2023 15:03:21
Wright 1 million are you having a laugh.

13.) 18 Jun 2023 15:10:08
If the money for both Sands and Tillman had been ring fenced and it looking like Tillman won't be coming surely we've got at least the 5 million Tillman money to spend if the rumours are true.

14.) 18 Jun 2023 15:21:52
1m for Wright?! Sorry NRD, not even in a Scott Wright universe could you get 1m for him! And 1m for J Mclaughlin?! Aye, I'll have some of what you're drinking.
Right now I'm sitting in Catalonia and it's bloody raining, so I needed a laugh.

15.) 18 Jun 2023 15:33:25
Wasn’t it 5 for Tillman 4.5 for sands?

16.) 18 Jun 2023 16:09:07
6.5 for kent so think we can.

17.) 18 Jun 2023 16:20:59
Oh look the guy I've been saying about and only £7m! Guarantee the guy who got the same amount of goals as him in the same league goes for a hell of bigger fee.

18.) 18 Jun 2023 16:54:56
Those who think we can't get around £1million for Wright, Ross McCrorie went for £2million in a rubbish Aberdeen team whereas Wright has played in a European final. Not so far fetched! ?‍♂️.

19.) 18 Jun 2023 17:57:04
NRD Ross played every week John or Scott wright don’t no chance will you get 1 mil each.

20.) 18 Jun 2023 17:58:58
Careful NRD, that might be too sensible for some folk ?.

21.) 18 Jun 2023 18:10:03
Verdant, let's wait see. If MB wants proven goalscorer which TƁH top of our agenda then let him. One player for 7m not out scope and neither you nor I know season budget. I wouldn't be surprised if MB looking at 20m budget after sales. But you/ I know pure speculation. So far think spent very sensibly but we need new CH to complete change and he knows this. Just bit worried how quick he can get shot surplus.

22.) 18 Jun 2023 18:32:19
Seeker it's all about opinions mate and if some disagree then that's fine. posts pinned?? just incase!
What's more troubling is folk on their holidays reading Rangers Rumours. must be a great holiday?.

23.) 18 Jun 2023 21:46:20
The "raining" part of my post must have told you that during that part of the day it wasn't exactly "great", NRD. Surely that was a give away, was it not?! Maybe not for you, eh?! ?.

24.) 18 Jun 2023 22:25:42
Wishful thinking that we get £1m for Wright and McLaughlin! Who is going to buy them? Ross McCrorie has been consistent with Aberdeen and has stood out in games. Wright has been no more than a squad player. If we get close to £1m we should jump at the offer. As for McLaughlin, we might need to let him go for nothing just to get him off our wage bill!

25.) 18 Jun 2023 23:53:19
Nrd those figures extremely optimistic

Hadji wright is a lot older and value will diminish

Douvikas has potential to increase

But I think both are vastly over priced.

26.) 19 Jun 2023 06:58:42
Always thought the WiFi signal in Morecambe was pretty poor. you've did well to get on here BigBen?.

27.) 19 Jun 2023 09:11:34
Was that your attempt of humour, NRD?! just like your evaluations, it was miles out! See, that's how you do it. ?.

28.) 19 Jun 2023 13:17:18
Take it its still raining then?
On holiday and your first thought is to pish your frillies to a wee bit of banter. rent free! ??.

29.) 19 Jun 2023 13:29:00
??? pish your fillies?! Oh dear, it gets worse!

30.) 19 Jun 2023 15:19:37
Mclaughlin would fetch roughy 300,000 tops.
Wright around 1 mill tops, both should bolt to hibs or aberdeen that's there level, neither are good enough for Beales squad.

06 Sep 2022 22:22:00
Strong Rumours about a takeover happening anyone else hear this?

Neil coulter

1.) 07 Sep 2022 14:23:16
Neil, if this relates to the reputed Kyle Fox Takeover it all appears very dubious and just not going to happen.

03 Jul 2020 17:07:23
Heard Julian woldhardt new chairman.

Neil coulter

1.) 03 Jul 2020 20:14:33
My mate said that if he is appointed then Rangers will soon announce a lot more investor friends of his to come board.

2.) 03 Jul 2020 20:16:29
If rangers had to sell Borna for 8.5m, that would be a massive blow, first of all he’s worth double that especially when tierney went for 25, a feel we really need to hold on to him, would be very difficult to replace.

3.) 03 Jul 2020 21:30:12
Can not let Barisic go cheaply even if the new guy turns out to be a success.

4.) 03 Jul 2020 21:34:16
Croatian internationalist first pick surely worth £15m.

5.) 03 Jul 2020 22:02:42
Tierney went for £25 million. That is the benchmark. Barisic has got to be worth £15 + add-ons + sell-on %.

6.) 04 Jul 2020 00:34:15
We no the teams interested in him coratian international if we took any less that 20 million I would be shocked.

7.) 04 Jul 2020 03:21:57
Tierney had won trophies though and played in treble winning teams Borna hasn't yet we need to stop comparing our assets against what Celtic have done until our players win things then their value will never be anywhere near the same as that lot unfortunately.

8.) 04 Jul 2020 09:14:26
fact is the guys on a long term contract and we’ve absl no desire to sell

anyone wants him it needs to be crazy money not just matching our valuation of him if we rate him at 15m say but don’t want to sell, then any clubs especially EPL need to cough up much more

he had a ropey first season and we stood by him now it’s bearing fruit

full Croatian international - anyone wants him it’s top dollar and I don’t mean 10m not even close.

9.) 04 Jul 2020 11:54:20
Stiv 65. If Rangers had won Trophies I would have valued Barisic at £25 million instead of £15 million.

10.) 04 Jul 2020 14:13:49
Stiv what a load of rubbish. So if a player doesn't win trophies they can't be sold for decent money? You have no clue. Ollie mcburnie went for 20million and can't even get in a Scotland team, the young RB man utd signed from crystal palace for 40million or something not won much or the young lad from Birmingham that's going to go for upwards of 30million and only played 1 season which he won nothing. Barisic is first choice left back for a top 3 national team in the world. He marked Gareth bale, a world class player, out of the game against Wales. If we keep undervaluing our players we won't be self reliant as a club. For example would andy halliday have been worth millions if rangers had won the league before he entered last year of his contract? No because andy tried hard but wasnt good enough. I'm glad SG and Wilson set the values as they will expect English prices.

11.) 05 Jul 2020 02:21:14
if you think we are going to get 15 million for Borna when 6 7 months ago most of our fans thought he was poor then you ate living in cuckoo land my point on Tierney was when clubs look at what he's done up here they will look at what he has won also especially English clubs who don't rate our league at all so of course they ate goung to see what player has achieved and simple but harsh facts are our playets do not have winning mentality hence why they have won nothing we had golden chance in Cup Final v that lot and blew it then another golden chance in League and blew that also ti many of our fans look through blue tinted glasses look at facts they don't lie.

23 Jun 2023 14:08:33
Look what Oli mcBurnie went for Kendi and he’s hopeless ?.

Neil coulter

1.) 23 Jun 2023 14:37:28
He's hopeless but playing in the epl, doesn't seem hopeless to me neil.

2.) 23 Jun 2023 15:53:56
Mcburnie is worse than dykes, absolute dug meat. Can't believe he went for 20mil, up there with 80mil for Harry Mcguire.

3.) 23 Jun 2023 16:40:58
Yet mcburnie scored more goals in less games that season eh.

4.) 23 jun 2023 16:41:00
sorry coldo, you doknow both these guys are professionals and earning a lot of money, m nit too shabby for “ dugmeat”.

5.) 23 Jun 2023 17:06:48
To be fair TT they've done very well to make the money they have. But I reckon 100mil total for they two deserves the term dugmeat as a reflection / comparison in ability and performance against that 100mil. ?‍♂️.

6.) 23 jun 2023 19:47:48
100 m fir dykes and mcburnie, nah.

7.) 23 Jun 2023 21:49:51
No TT? 100mil for mcburnie and mcguire. Dykes lol nearly choked there?.

20 Jun 2022 20:53:09
Would be happy if Neil McCann was the new assistant you heard his name get mentioned John?

Neil coulter

1.) 20 Jun 2022 21:31:18
A long time ago. Nothing since but he would be an asset imo.

2.) 20 Jun 2022 23:26:55
That would be my choice Neil he comes across as having a good grasp of tactics and spotting where changes are needed in his analysis when commentating.

3.) 20 Jun 2022 23:40:43
Totally agree with that he reminds me of Andy gray in his pin point accuracy of match analysis n tactics guys a very knowledgeable football man amd is wasted not being part of a coaching set up
I’d prefer McCann to any o her names mentioned so far.

4.) 21 Jun 2022 00:42:52
Not for me and nothing against him but much much better out there more specialised as a no2. Neil McCann is more suited to be a a no1.

5.) 21 Jun 2022 06:50:09
Scotty don't think it will be as a number 2? We already have that in place.

29 May 2021 10:32:17
Heard Joseph Okumu spotted at Ibrox looks a top defender hope it’s true.

Neil coulter

1.) 29 May 2021 13:49:13
Would be excited abt that but would probs mean a move for one of our cbs. Possibly edmondson? A lot of interest in him. He’s rated highly. Could be another boomsong for us 👍.

2.) 29 May 2021 14:27:46
And I suspect Connor may be looking for something else, in the epl.

3.) 29 May 2021 15:18:00
Who does this boy play for?

4.) 29 May 2021 16:33:56

02 Sep 2019 18:25:25
Well all I can say was told u a long time back we were signing Kent and got shot down!

Neil coulter

1.) 03 Sep 2019 08:28:23
I’m not sure you got shot down there was a few of us saying the same thing.

26 Oct 2018 11:57:24
How can someone disagree with my post when it’s there in black and white in the paper 😂😂😂 only saying what I see.

Neil coulter
