Hearing pictures and media work been done announcements imminent, I hope it true ? I think it's lad from Feyenoord to be followed by Bajarami.
1.) 30 Aug 2024 14:10:00
Let's hope that's 2 of 4 incoming?.
2.) 30 Aug 2024 14:14:33
Probably just Kasanwirjo unless Bejrami has sneaked into the country on the quiet!
3.) 30 Aug 2024 13:43:05
Must be true.
4.) 30 Aug 2024 13:50:01
Lets hope they 2 are just the start at least 1 more would be good but we do still need a a few more than that. Its going to be a long wait to finally see a full clement team maybe next summer.
5.) 30 Aug 2024 14:30:06
Yeah, such a high profile individual is constantly monitored and we'd know every move.
6.) 30 Aug 2024 15:10:36
A Clement team?
Koppens driving the recruitment bus.
Clement clearly stated he's no involvement with signing players for us, he manages and trains the team along with Van der heyden.
That stupidity ended during beales era.
We have DOF and one that has proven track record of recruiting talented young players, see PSVs rebuild for reference, Koppen was driving that bus too, and we got see first hand how succesful that rebuild was, when they made us look like a division 3 side.
Have patience it won't happen in one season or two, likely 3 to get us to PSVs current level, best side in Holland now, Ajax have been dethroned.
Eventually Celtic will be too, be even sweeter when we do it for much less than they're squandering :)
7.) 30 Aug 2024 16:02:19
Good post laudruphagi.
8.) 30 Aug 2024 16:03:29
Laudruphagi………. or should we call you Gheorghe?
30 Aug 2024 12:09:18
Jens Shoppner CDM Hoffenhiem
Neraysho Kasanwirjo DF Feyenoord
Nemed Bajrami MF Sassaolou
Reckon these are the most likely if we do any business.
1.) 30 Aug 2024 12:32:54
After that europa league draw we will need much better than those 3.
2.) 30 Aug 2024 12:42:20
Why big tel? Squad we have just now would expect us to make play offs. Couple new additions todat and back at ibrox.
3.) 30 Aug 2024 12:45:51
Couple names there coming from nowhere hope they have scouted properly ?.
4.) 30 Aug 2024 12:46:23
Surely that's a joke paul we will be lucky to get a win and 2 draws.
5.) 30 Aug 2024 12:48:29
Big Tel, so players with Serie A, Bundesligia and Eredvisie experience aren't good enough?
6.) 30 Aug 2024 12:55:10
I agree Paul would be looking at Play Offs some cracking games in there and some very winnable ties.
7.) 30 Aug 2024 12:59:25
Paull86 The squad we have now can barely hold up a decent performance in the league never mind Europe we ain’t making the playoff.
8.) 30 Aug 2024 13:00:22
Big tel a fantastic draw glamour against two mediocre English teams
Also other ties all winnable imo.
9.) 30 Aug 2024 13:01:54
Big tel, wee question mate, many times have you seen the three players mentioned play?
10.) 30 Aug 2024 13:02:55
That’s a great draw. Get some good performances from young players and increases confidence and gels the team.
11.) 30 Aug 2024 13:09:18
Jan Schöppner looks very underwhelming. Stats are poor from last season and looks very slow. I don’t see this one being an upgrade on Lundstram if it happens.
12.) 30 Aug 2024 13:09:20
Andy when we knocked out dortmund we were horrendous in league. Drew with united then 2 all draw with motherwell at ibrox. 2 or 3 signings in today hopefully and will be in good shape have to finish between 9th and 24th to make play offs.
13.) 30 Aug 2024 13:14:28
Windy agreed, I'm loving that draw, we'll progress ?.
14.) 30 Aug 2024 13:14:34
Hard bunch of games but to be honest I prefer it that way, nothing better than ibrox on a European night.
15.) 30 Aug 2024 13:20:12
I see HH predicted nice points would be enough to Qualify
I’d be very surprised, I’d want 12/ 13 minimum.
16.) 30 Aug 2024 13:22:45
Union winnable
Malmo winnable
Olympiacos winnable
FCSB Winnable
Lyon and Nice be tough but again pick something up.
Man United difficult
Spurs difficult
I really think we can do some damage in these ties IMO
So i'm no sure how your only getting one win and two draws mate ?.
17.) 30 Aug 2024 13:33:41
Got to be happy. Games to be won plus chances to pick up points here and there. Good draw.
18.) 30 Aug 2024 14:10:10
Olympiakos are far harder than some think.
19.) 30 Aug 2024 13:40:24
Olympiacos will be harder than lyon and nice.
20.) 30 Aug 2024 13:42:14
Arcade both English teams English teams concede a lot of goals e.
21.) 30 Aug 2024 13:49:25
Assessment spot on imo Arcade.
30 Apr 2024 16:41:59
I heard a rumour we are going to do the treble.
1.) 30 Apr 2024 20:30:17
Arcade I'm loving that rumour mate?.
2.) 30 Apr 2024 21:24:30
Great rumour sir, anyone say when ???.
3.) 01 May 2024 08:31:33
Arcade, heard that a few weeks ago, but not so sure now.
02 Aug 2023 18:58:58
I spoke to an old friend today and he's under the impression there is another forward coming in and possibly a young GK. I was hopeful of a new CB and possible FB but doesn't seem to be to my knowledge anything close in that department. Is anyone picking anything up with regards to incomings?
1.) 02 Aug 2023 19:07:03
Yes, goalie if Mccrorie goes
Another forward player yes
Ch probably.
2.) 02 Aug 2023 19:18:36
Seems a few people are getting same info re a forward mate. Think once sakala goes and if we do get rid of Roofe that’s going to be the case. I’m very excited to see who this may be. I’ve a feeling it’s going to be a loan or a free.
Again very interested as to who the gk will be as it could spell the end of mccrorie and jono?
3.) 02 Aug 2023 19:33:08
Thanks for the reply, very interesting. Just saw the thread below about Sam Field also. Looks like we ain't done yet.
Be expecting a few to move on this week hopefully.
4.) 02 Aug 2023 19:33:38
Defensively we need another couple of players either on loan or signed.
5.) 02 Aug 2023 19:44:23
John u any idea on the ch’s we are wanting mate?
6.) 02 Aug 2023 20:01:03
Desperate for some defensive cover.
MB cannot say he is happy with our defense as it is surely?
Understand some need to go, but clearly easier than said to make it happen! But we need CB at the very least as a first team starter.
7.) 02 Aug 2023 20:25:50
For anyone who watches the youth sides or keeps up to date with them what about Hogarth isn't he just off the back of a decent season with Alloa do we rate him much. Same question for Wright and Budinauckas?
8.) 02 Aug 2023 20:44:01
Can't see any club in English championship for example McCrorie would be first choice other than possibly Sheffield Wednesday and even there it would be difficult . So either lower league or go abroad it would appear or stay here accept good money and support and fight for a place as he would have to do anywhere else at a good level.
9.) 02 Aug 2023 20:46:37
John if they go for another forward do you know if it be a striker or a winger they’d be looking for.
10.) 02 aug 2023 20:51:00
said for months, don't rule shankland out.
11.) 02 Aug 2023 21:08:27
lets get rid of two proven forwards
in colak n sakala
to bring in somdy to do exactly the same job that might be crap no fit in
i think we are putting too much onto new players who we don't know can cut it in our league
we ain't got a lot of time too fall behind celtic with unproven players
keep some soine in your team.
12.) 02 Aug 2023 21:18:12
Gadji I think mccrorie is making a mistake. If Butland gets injured he could take over and never look back.
Look at McGregor when letizi got injured.
We were willing to sell shagger to Dunfermline and they couldn’t come up with the £300k asking price so he stayed and never looked back.
I feel it’s exactly same with mccrorie. He would see off mcglaughlin no problem so he should sit tight this season and re evaluate next summer.
13.) 02 Aug 2023 21:19:33
Callum r they r all ok but no experience at all
Bluewell i'd call him a striker
Gadji I think that bridge is burnt.
14.) 02 Aug 2023 21:26:29
John27 Sheff wed? yes I think so, StevieG2 yes I agree.
15.) 02 Aug 2023 21:27:29
Fraser scored a screamer yesterday for the B team and can play at Leftback. Him and Yilmaz. Punt Barasic.
16.) 02 Aug 2023 21:32:09
Stevie Mccrorie wants to be in Germany with Scotland.
17.) 02 Aug 2023 22:08:03
I think Hogarth is going out on loan again this season likely to a higher level maybe championship.
Recanted is meant be a good keeper think he will be the b team keeper this season.
Budinaukis I know nothing about other than is highly rated
Cannot believe mb has told mccrorie mcglaughlin will be no2
That’s shocking man.
18.) 02 Aug 2023 22:12:53
Who's the striker John?
19.) 02 Aug 2023 22:49:15
Cervantes*.
20.) 02 Aug 2023 22:56:15
We had 6 keepers listed with the B team last season and Hogarth out on loan add Graeme Smith the coach recently retired and younger than McGregor it would appear we don't know much about assessing keepers, so if M/ well want a couple and some money for Kelly we might be able to sort that. Though he had a few howlers last season but we might put that down to what's in front of him, can't see McCrorie going there for the wages he would be on.
21.) 03 Aug 2023 02:45:52
Thanks for the responses just wondering how we actually rated the lads, Definitely going to need a No.2 if mccrorie goes just a hard thing to sell someone I suppose.
22.) 03 Aug 2023 06:54:53
CallamR Beale has told mcglaughlin he will be no2 next season that’s why mccrorie has said he wants to leave.
Can’t fathom it myself mate but apparently that’s what’s been said and done.
For me mccrorie should be no2 and given guarantees of 20 games a season if we stay in the cups obv if not his numbers come down.
Mcglaughlin we should let go for £250k if we can n if not I’d say he’s free to find a new club.
Mccrorie had a point here he’s never put a single foot wrong for us, I was unconvinced at Aberdeen but he’s always looked more than sound with us.
23.) 03 Aug 2023 07:53:38
Stevie what u mean re Cervantes.
24.) 03 Aug 2023 08:38:52
Blue dreamer we need better than colak and sakala there is nothing more to it than that. couldn't trap a bag of cement between them. Ill take my chances on the new guys, if it goes belly up then its Beales head.
25.) 03 Aug 2023 10:27:16
'Two proven forwards'. Proven in what exactly? Colak proven to go completely missing, not only in big games, but just generally missing on the park.
Sakala is raw and works hard but anyone with eyes can see we need better, and at £4m we are doing well to move him on.
26.) 03 Aug 2023 10:45:53
John I said Cervantes likely the b team keeper this season. I goat auto corrected to ‘recanted’
Was just fixing it mate.
27.) 03 Aug 2023 13:39:26
Wish I had a quid everytime "I spoke to" or "I was told"or"Source" is on this page.
28.) 03 Aug 2023 16:43:59
Defraz one said "sauce " no idea if they meant red or brown.
29.) 03 Aug 2023 17:16:55
McGlaughlan's contract is up next summer. No way he's getting a new one so no way he's our backup keeper.
30.) 03 Aug 2023 18:00:54
Stevie we sold him back to US in March due to being homesick.
31.) 04 Aug 2023 12:46:49
Really John? Never knew that mate. I kno wan he was highly rated donu know what we got for him? I know won’t have been much.
12 Jul 2023 15:46:00
Talking about CB's anyone heard anything with regards to Trusty? I believe he is still with National team and won't make decision until afterwards?
Panzo has went quiet, I reckon he has plenty offers and considering them and waiting to see if anything else pops up ?
Any the lads in the know picking anything up?
1.) 12 Jul 2023 15:54:42
Balogun signed on £3k a week deal - great character around the place i know its not what everyone wants but its a cheap option that can pay dividends - how the big man performed against the other mob was outstanding - 4 or 5 performances like that makes him well worth the money - i never wanted him to go in first place -.
2.) 12 Jul 2023 15:59:18
Nothing new but in an interview Beale hinted towards more Signings coming which could be towards a defender Jose Cifuentes possibly soon enough Panzo is down to fee and Rangers reluctant to spend what they are looking for Leon king may just have changed that I'm not saying it will but I'm guessing.
3.) 12 Jul 2023 16:02:22
I’m not in the know mate but imo trusty will be joining us after his international commitments are complete.
Panzo seems to be dragging on a bit doesn’t it.
Think it was a very wise move bringing balogun in just now so we know we have cover in defence who needs no time to settle no hassles or worries, trusty may well come in on loan with first refusal at a higher price as £2m sounds too cheap to be believed
Panzo may well come in a swap for bb I think I heard that said previously .
We may see Davies sold now that balogun is in the door and use that money to fund the other defender whoever it will be.
Looking from outside central defence next season looks like
Goldson (Souttar)
Trusty (panzo)
Balogun 5th choice.
4.) 12 Jul 2023 16:05:13
Ipswich is meant to be after trusty surely we can beat them to the signing we have European football and chance to win titles and cups.
5.) 12 Jul 2023 16:18:12
Balogun is already in Germany with the team so seems like there must have been some prior knowledge?
I am not against this move as long as we get another 1st choice LCB in soon.
RCB - Goldson, Souttar
LCB - NewLCB, Davies (or replacement)
Back up - Balogun
This would have allowed King to go on loan (now recovery) and given us good depth.
Balogun wouldn't have taken much convincing as he calls this club his home so not much outlay needed I would assume.
6.) 12 Jul 2023 16:48:24
I love big balogun I didn’t want him to leave thought he more than earned a new deal.
The fact he has came in on £3k a week (will barely cover his rent and bills) shows he’s basically playing or rather standing by for free.
This shows great commitment.
Anyone in the know?
Would rangers be covering his housing costs while he’s here as it’s a 1 year deal and on £3k a week it’s not a lot considering he has a family so essential costs and housing for a (likely) millionaire footballer it’s nothing reall n is it. ?
Would we be covering the cost of his housing for example? Ed even? Would u be in the know on these type of situation I’m just curious.
7.) 12 Jul 2023 17:00:06
Nizzy, europe/ cups/ titles are not the first thing on players minds any more, Unfortunately . or we would have a wee queue!
8.) 12 Jul 2023 17:06:50
I've had a wee seesaw of thoughts on Balagun coming in. Was a bit on the negative with it. But just thinking about it this may be a short term cover as the club may rate King highly and see him as first team going forward. Would still like to see another ch come in but that's because I'm not sure on Davies being the solution and soutar staying fit. I think we'll sign another CB and Leon will cover till king is back.
9.) 12 Jul 2023 17:12:08
Panzo and trusty ain’t signing for us mate why would he be 5th choice to players who don’t play for us.
10.) 12 Jul 2023 17:16:52
Trusty in international business until the final on 17th July. Maybe see some movement after that.
11.) 12 Jul 2023 17:47:05
Stevie appears that’s his weekly wage, then paid if in match day squad or first 11.
Same type deal Flannagan had.
12.) 12 Jul 2023 17:59:15
I loved big Balogun when he was here, but he's signed for cover for these cl qualifiers pretty much. It's either that or we go in possibly starting mayo if soutter or Davies pick up an injury. Personally wouldn't be comfortable with that after we threw king to the lions in cl last year. No brained for money involved and Leon will be well aware he won't be a starter every week.
13.) 12 Jul 2023 18:07:11
trusty isn't in the gold cup squad.
14.) 12 Jul 2023 18:19:02
M king very interesting info.
15.) 12 Jul 2023 18:59:14
Sensible view and understanding of the balogun signing Herewego55 ? I agree with you totally ?Some panty wetting on here for nothing ?.
16.) 12 Jul 2023 19:31:47
Agree BlueRunner.
At first I wasn’t sure what to make of the Balogun signing, however the more I think about it and read that it wasn’t just a knee jerk reaction and was planned in order to let King go out on loan the more it makes sense.
I believe we will sign another left sided CB regardless and if Davies is moving on a replacement for him.
I do feel we need to sign a quality LCB ASAP though.
17.) 12 Jul 2023 21:16:22
So it’s panty wetting because people don’t agree with you coops? Embarrassing comment.
18.) 12 Jul 2023 21:32:52
Walter, no one is wetting their pants, just disappointed with the signing of a 35 year old, who has missed a lot of last season through injury, Beale seems to say one thing and do another.
19.) 12 Jul 2023 21:45:17
Stevie it varies from deal to deal, some the club pays, some the club arranges for the players and others the players sort themselves. The guys signed on long deals, particularly from abroad generally get their first year paid by club as a minimum. I know club covered Alfies rent for his full contract but Kent only got 1 year paid by club.
20.) 12 Jul 2023 22:00:00
Storm the same panty wetter, who we signing, is it a reliable source, is it our mutual friend.
21.) 12 Jul 2023 23:04:07
Hope you've changed your underwear stormtrooper ?.
22.) 13 Jul 2023 00:34:10
The balagun signing is actually a signing that everyone should agree both sides of the arguments have valid points, time will tell how good the signing is.
23.) 13 Jul 2023 14:01:37
Huey cheers mate, interesting to know even Morelos and Kent had theirs covered although such high earners. That’s crazy. I thought maybe the one year deals or the loans and with balogun being used to a certain standard of life I’d guess his rent will be thousands a month not much less than his contract. Interesting stuff mate.
24.) 13 Jul 2023 14:31:31
Balogun showed rangers and the fans nothing but love and respect so we should do same with him.
Welcome home balogun ??.

Be absolutely buzzing if we manage to get Aaron's over the line hopefully with Poku, I'd take that as a right side allday long.
1.) 21 Jun 2025 12:38:53
Really impressed with Aarons Arcade, don't really know very much about Poku only watched some highlights but seemingly dozens of clubs want him, heard some say league one but not realising a good few of the clubs in our league if played in league one they'd be playing league two the following season.
2.) 22 Jun 2025 09:18:13
Totally agree Aaron's is a player I've always rated highly as for poku looks fast and dangerous.
19 Jun 2025 14:33:26
I been doing some homework into the 49ers and I have to say its astonishing the success stories they've had.
The ways in which they will transform our club, will never really truly be understood. The detail these guys go into in every aspect of business and sports is ridiculous.
Cutting edge stuff and some of the very best in their designated roles. The real money is behind the scenes (as always) but the true worth is the guys we have access to now for networking and contacts which in itself is very interesting.
And the dreaded rebuild cycle we've been in. well let's just say, this time we have the backing. We have every resource available and at our disposal. Something we never had in previous rebuild attempts.
Not going to happen immediately but I'm very excited and I know the work being done behind the scenes is astronomical. So yeah very happy ? eager to see the changes filter down into the playing staff and recruitment and although it will seem things are moving at a snails pace, they are really not.
So keep calm and listen to Slow Ride by Foghat and go wave your star spangled union jack. ????? yeehaw.
1.) 19 Jun 2025 15:09:43
Excellent post Arcade, I am really upbeat about our future at the moment. I believe this is start of a new era for the club, one which will bring us success.
New guys were barely in the door and implemented a proper management structure which was so badly needed. They will know where the playing squad is lacking and will be diligently working to improve. It's not going to be overnight, because we still have salary issues to deal with, but it will happen.
2.) 19 Jun 2025 15:24:46
I have high hopes of them bringing us into the modern times and bringing success but I'm also realistic and willing to be patient. I wish people some on here would be patient with regards to the transfer ins and outs.
3.) 19 Jun 2025 15:51:20
Hopefully everything positive I've read and heard comes to fruition and we will actually turn a corner now and start moving forward.
4.) 19 Jun 2025 16:01:35
Love it a positive post! They will make a success of Rangers again I'm sure of it, It may not happen in 15 mins like people want but it will happen.
5.) 19 Jun 2025 16:03:11
I've been going by how it worked at Leeds. That's the template that will be applied with us. I'm quite relaxed about it, no instant fix these gentlemen know what they're doing. I genuinely believe that we are in very good hands. Keep believing chaps, our day will come.
6.) 19 Jun 2025 16:03:50
Excellent read Penny ?.
7.) 19 Jun 2025 16:21:14
Excellent post Arcade. I'm excited about our future, however there are elements of our fan base who just will not accept that the rebuild will not happen immediately.
18 Jun 2025 13:44:36
Didn't matter who we were facing. Always a tough draw especially so early in the season.
I would absolutely love Champs League football at Ibrox again.
But if we fail to make it what's the rules now for dropping into Europa?
1.) 18 Jun 2025 13:49:43
Pretty sure if we lose were out of europe all together and personally i can't see us winning but its possible.
2.) 18 Jun 2025 13:59:26
As far as I am aware if we get beat by panathanikos there is no parachute. We will be out of Europe all together.
3.) 18 Jun 2025 14:06:44
I've just asked that question. I think it's 3rd qaulifying round teams drop into europa. I think we will be out of Europe completly.
4.) 18 Jun 2025 14:08:35
Defo a tough draw but it can be done if we draw them in the Europa I would expect us to put them to the sword hopefully we do the same in the champions league qualifiers.
5.) 18 Jun 2025 14:15:27
If we lose we drop into the play off round for Europa. Win, we're guaranteed Europa group stage if we go out the next round.
6.) 18 Jun 2025 14:24:04
Wed go into the 3rd qualifying round of the EL but be unseeded.
7.) 18 Jun 2025 14:27:32
EL round 3. fail there CL play off round.
8.) 18 Jun 2025 14:58:52
Arcade Penny. I think to guarantee group stage we have to win this tie. if we don't we then play another round for Europa league don't win that out of Europe for the season. Pretty sure I read that few weeks ago.
9.) 18 Jun 2025 15:12:08
It's a tough one penny, because we really need the money, but it wouldn't do our players any good if we get pummelled every game. As we found out last time the step up in class is huge, although we did have some amount of players out.
10.) 18 Jun 2025 15:20:16
What happens if Rangers win/ lose in Champions League qualifying?
Champions League second qualifying round: Win = progress to third qualifying round, Loss = drop into Europa League third qualifying round
Champions League third qualifying round: Win = progress to play-off round, Loss = drop into Europa League league phase
Champions League play-off round: Win = Champions League league phase, Loss = drop into Europa League league phase
Europa League third qualifying round: Win = progress to play-off round, Loss = drop into Conference League play-off round
Europa League play-off round: Win = Europa League league phase, Loss = Conference League league phase
Conference League play-off round: Win = Conference League league phase, Loss = Out of Europe.
11.) 18 Jun 2025 15:30:11
I think we're a good few year away from that. The only 1 thing I want from this season is to win the league, nothing else matters. I'm struggling to even see that to be honest but there's loads of time between now and the end of the window.

I was coming around to the idea of Ancelotti jnr but Big Russ it is.
Ano it's an appointment that has a lot of supporters worried and underwhelmed. And at first I thought the same.
But let's look at it objectively
: Knows the club and culture.
Has proven record in transforming
teams and building a squad.
Has very good man management.
Has own style of football and own
philosophy on how the game should
be played.
Sets standards for players and
works well on player mentality.
These skills are what we need.
Particularly at this time in our history. I believe by the time he leaves our club we will be in a far better position and the club as whole on better footing. So yeah not a terrible appointment and willing to give the guy a chance.
1.) 05 Jun 2025 20:01:28
We've got to get it right 1 time. Maybe this is the time penny fingers crossed.
2.) 05 Jun 2025 20:14:10
Just exactly what I said arcade.
3.) 05 Jun 2025 20:18:37
He has no proven track record at all. He's achieved very little across 3 clubs.
4.) 05 Jun 2025 20:27:00
He. ll live or die on recruitment. We must get the correct type of signings right and get rid of the players who simply aren't good enough.
5.) 05 Jun 2025 20:36:30
100% onewalter
Young, hungry and overlaid with some experience
Athletes - fast, direct with a physical presence
Experience players need to have a ruthless streak and and lead by example.
6.) 05 Jun 2025 20:44:06
Getting promoted to epl is achieving something and it's not very little. I would expect anything else but negativity from you unbeliever. No matter who we got you would be negative.
7.) 05 Jun 2025 20:46:07
Unbeliever he improved the league position with his first 2 clubs from when he arrived to when he left. He was then poached by his next club due to those results. he managed to get Southampton promoted from Championship at his first attempt. those are achievements for the level of club he was at.
8.) 05 Jun 2025 20:50:28
Correct storm getting out of that league is very tough.
9.) 05 Jun 2025 21:38:30
Booboo your right surely we've got to choose the right man one of these times ?
But aye I can see why they've went this way.
People will have their own opinions and that's fine and to be fair I know absolute hee haw about choosing a manager but I do think it's actually a smart choice ?♂️ i'm hopeful but let's see how he does.
Did you actually look at the teams he last managed @unbeliever?
There's lots online about him mate or is it you just don't fancy him?
Im not saying he's perfect either btw but I am hopeful especially if he's backed and has a good team behind the scenes.
Be an interesting summer ahead.
10.) 05 Jun 2025 22:11:27
Arcade I agree on the law of averages we must get it right one time. But I think the manager needs to have the proper support around him. we have had good managers recently but the support needed wasn't there. the 49ers will provide that so it gives the manager a better chance to succeed. It isn't all about the cash but about removing all of the rest of the rubbish involved in running a club away for. hi and just letting him coach.
interesting and exciting summer?
25 May 2025 21:34:46
I understand my last post was slightly contradictory.
What I meant was BF and his team would be imo a less of a risk, he's a club legend, knows the league and what it takes to win in Scotland.
Also bleeds blue and beat Celtic as a manager and a player. He did steady the ship for us. And I just feel we are narrowing our search to what's available at this time and all I meant was giving Barry the job until other targets are available and taking our time with this appointment.
I have nothing against foreign managers. Just for the record. I know Barry isn't exactly an experienced manager either but like I said he knows the league and is still a part of our club and a club legend.
I just worry that this jobs too big for Ancelotti Jnr at this time in his career. And being a coach under the wing of his dad, is nothing like being a manager in your own right in the goldfish bowl of Glasgow.
1.) 25 May 2025 21:45:42
He steady the ship? He had a 47% win rate explain how that is steady the ship? that's sinking the ship. In no way is making BF the next manager any less of a risk that anyone else in the world.
2.) 25 May 2025 21:51:56
He steadied the ship? it got worse imo.
3.) 25 May 2025 21:52:34
Fair enough Arcade but who are those managers who will become available. I actually don't think Ferguson did as bad a job as people think. he was getting much better towards the end so perhaps he had actually managed to find what worked. it won't be a popular view granted and I am not sure I want him as manager even just don't think it was a compete disaster for an interim manager. draws were the downfall again.
4.) 25 May 2025 21:54:41
You're entitled to your opinion Arcade but if Barry was to get the job on a short term basis as you suggest where would that put the club in terms of transfer dealings, who comes in, who do we sell?
Add to the the fact that results in his short tenure were not great.
5.) 25 May 2025 22:21:54
Worse record than Clement. that's fact.
6.) 25 May 2025 22:25:24
Someone's overindulged this afternoon.
7.) 25 May 2025 22:30:59
You can't be serious ferguson steadied the ship we got worse and he should never have even been in the role in the 1st place he's failed in every managerial job he's had.
8.) 25 May 2025 22:45:30
Appreciate and respect your opinions.
He wasn't as bad as some would have you believe. I saw a team with a bit of grit again albeit a team that was already defeated and on its knees. And we beat the manky mob and did reasonably well in Europe.
I'm not saying Barry is the man for the long term. But rather than rushing to appoint someone, we should take our time and Barry and McCann, Doddsy all know this league. And given more than a few weeks to get there point across I reckon would be a safe set of hands until we name our man.
We can't afford another bad appointment.
In terms of transfers, I don't how it'll work, I don't know who will be in charge of recruitment but Nils obviously will have a huge say regardless of manager.
9.) 25 May 2025 22:52:47
I don't drink mate and haven't done for a number of years but cheers for the wideo comment.
Last time I checked your were allowed to have an opinion.
10.) 25 May 2025 23:16:20
Steadied the ship?, with the worst consecutive home record in memory, good God!
11.) 25 May 2025 23:26:08
Your obviously allowed to have an opinion but there are so many facts that suggest BF didn't steady the ship, he did the polar opposite.
12.) 26 May 2025 07:51:01
I think it's hard to judge Barry. Yes results were poor but it's clear he was working with players he wouldn't want there (who most of us don't want either) and who weren't listening. It's been about attitude as much as anything. He was about trying to instil standards and values that some don't have. Who knows with the expected clear out what he could do with players he actually wanted to work with.
13.) 26 May 2025 08:46:44
Job too big for Ancellotti? When he has operated as an integral part of Real Madrid and worked with the world best players. I don't think so Arcade.
14.) 26 May 2025 08:53:22
Arcade, I can see where you are coming from but would counter it by saying that where promoting interim managers can work very occasionally in the main they dont. This wait to sack them then means you are another 6-12 months down the road and starting afresh.
Like you I don't think he did as badly as is made out and that again isn't me saying I want him.
BAR he wasn't there for 2 of the games so he can share the blame for that.
12 Jan 2025 21:18:13
I don't understand the pile on.
I got what you mean Tom. We need 3 just get through this season. And I agree with that.
As you state, a few bad injuries or players leaving and we are caught short it could end our season in a bad way. And have a knock effect next season.
It's absolutely paramount to make the Champs league qualies and give the fans something to cheer by hopefully lifting the Scottish cup.
29 Oct 2024 16:24:39
Only on here is Clements job on the line.
Like it or not even if we get pumped 2moro, he will still be the gaffer.
27 Oct 2024 17:21:58
Sit down Rick that's plenty.
24 Oct 2024 22:05:59
Not a chance mate.
30 Aug 2024 15:19:38
Yes please I like the look of him. Been hearing announcements due. From one or two people that have said the same thing. Hearing also hold up with Bajarami not sure what tho. Been annoying everyone I know all day for any info.
18 Jun 2025 14:12:15
Tavs been a great servant of our club.
But its time to see him fazed out. Perhaps some would argue, long overdue.
Yes he's slower now and for me his short passing has never really been that great, he's better at crossing and the ball over top. Hence his insane assist stats.
Id keep him in the squad this season he can still be useful imo.
He's still our captain.
And hey whenever he goes, apart from lack of titles, just imagine what his highlight reel will be like, unbelievable.
What a journey the man's had. From the lower leagues to title 55 and Europa final.
All in All James James Tavernier has been a fantastic signing. And whatever happens when he leaves or retires I will remember him fondly.

My star they threw it away man. only needed what, 3points from 5 games or something. Terrible collapse and missed opportunity to make history.
