Dessers nowhere near the exit door. Apparently we turned down a bid for him a while back. He's currently injured.

JonesyRFC1

1.) 06 Jul 2025 20:31:39
I've said all along that dessers will stay with Rangers and he doesn't want to leave anyway and i'm happy with that TBH ?.

2.) 06 Jul 2025 20:40:37
I was told he didn't show up in a suit today which was why he was omitted from the squad ( a penalty of sorts ) might not be true.

3.) 06 Jul 2025 20:55:10
He's injured.

4.) 06 Jul 2025 20:55:57
He had an ankle injury. Martin said it in PM interview.

5.) 06 Jul 2025 21:07:18
Ffs ?‍♂️ aye that's the reason sam.

6.) 06 Jul 2025 21:50:20
RM wasn't exactly dapper so would take that with a pinch of salt.

7.) 06 Jul 2025 21:52:18
Why so cheeky storm only sharing information I was told?

8.) 06 Jul 2025 21:53:37
Everyone bar dessers showed up in a suit and he was left out the squad as punishment was what I was told while I attend corporate today.

9.) 06 Jul 2025 22:00:00
Think RM is jst being diplomatic with his words tbh.

10.) 06 Jul 2025 22:47:19
Being injured is an easy response when not wanting to answer about ongoing talks or fallouts etc it happens all the time, not saying he isn't injured right enough.

11.) 06 Jul 2025 23:08:39
That just proves you shouldn't always believe what you are told just my opinion that is all.

12.) 06 Jul 2025 23:23:40
None of the players were in suits, Sam!

13.) 07 Jul 2025 01:57:05
Feyenoord were keen, obviously if he is injured he can't be sold.

14.) 07 Jul 2025 08:31:07
Dessers is rarely injured. I don't accept he's injured now. Other factors in place.

15.) 07 Jul 2025 09:05:39
Rubbish on suit thing

Couldnt get why cortes got praise today thought he was awful and the assist i'm sure he meant the pass for danilo and not dio.

16.) 07 Jul 2025 10:12:56
Of course you can sell an injured player. it depends on the injury whether another team will want him. apparently its an ankle strain so would another team say cancel all talks he sprained his ankle.

17.) 07 Jul 2025 10:46:39
Wouldn't let Dessers go if we've potentially missed out on our first choice replacement.

04 Jul 2025 19:57:05
John swift name being tossed around him apparently we are interested in him he's a free agent. Thoughts?

JonesyRFC1

1.) 04 Jul 2025 20:41:24
Embarrassing tbh the calibre of signings so far have been attrocious loans free transfers and reported fees for Fernandez and Norwegian boy will be miles off mark new regime with same bargain basement mentality signings can see Martins time as a disaster waiting to happen a guy who cannot attract a big name like way Gerrard could irrespective of people's thoughts on him he knew how to attract players.

2.) 04 Jul 2025 20:59:45
Wait and see think he will surprise a few.

3.) 04 Jul 2025 21:00:51
What are you talking about Stiv? I am going to use a Scottish word i like. Urter drivel.

4.) 04 Jul 2025 21:03:21
Glad you are not a judge Stiv, everyone would get life.

5.) 04 Jul 2025 21:07:34
Negative nonsense give the guy a chance nothing else has worked in the past couple of years just cause we haven't heard of them doesn't mean they're no good get behind the team.

6.) 04 Jul 2025 21:07:54
Nothing like a bit of optimism eh stiv. We know nothing about how well these boys are going to do for us, give them a chance before writing them off before they've kicked a ball. And who are these big names Gerrard was able to attract? Because the most profitable players we got during his time were bassey and aribo, a freebie outcast from Leicester and a boy from Charlton, so no different to who we're buying now.

7.) 04 Jul 2025 21:12:27
Who do you want us to go after then stiv?

8.) 04 Jul 2025 21:15:28
Big names won't even go to Newcastle never mind the league we are in, we must secure the best talents here like Miller, if someone has to be sold to allow that then it should get done, I think we can get Miller for an amount substantially less than it would be in selling Dio and that lad is better than him.

9.) 04 Jul 2025 21:16:23
Stoke in for Swift and good luck to them.

10.) 04 Jul 2025 21:17:02
Gerrards attracted big name was Defoe. No one else to be fair. No matter new owners or not, we still need to stick with FFP. Bassey was £400k, Aribo was unknown and cheap and we got Kamara for buttons. We need to get behind the team ftom the off. Time to be the 12th man from the start and to the end of the season.

11.) 04 Jul 2025 21:17:47
Who was the big names Gerrard brought other than defoe? Lafferty, Maybe Barker? Perhaps Grezda or Jake hasty ??.

12.) 04 Jul 2025 21:18:29
That is the positivity required spiv.

13.) 04 Jul 2025 21:23:14
Stiv aasgard and rothwell and aarons for that matter are all bigger names than barasic aribo bassey katic your points not a very good or sensible one imo.

14.) 04 Jul 2025 21:25:14
Your opinion. Time will tell but bet if it goes right and you are wrong, yoh wobt be on here admitting it. Rothwell and Aasgard well thought of fans of both clubs. Fernandez well see how it plays out don't know enough, but a dominant Ctr half is definitely a requirement. Feel youve made your mind up already on martin.

15.) 04 Jul 2025 21:26:03
Whats wrong with loans and free transfers exactly?

what big names did gerrard attract other than defoe? none of gerrards signings to me stand out as "big names".

16.) 04 Jul 2025 21:29:10
It's fans like you who are an embarrassment who won't give new signings or manager a chance before a ball is even kicked you have to give them a chance before you start writing them off so get a grip.

17.) 04 Jul 2025 21:29:19
Aarons is very good signing for Rangers quality rb, Rothwell is a very good footballer and will shock the two above stiv and Jones, don't know anything about the Fernandez but some far more knowledgeable on the game are saying different from use two, same I know nothing about the Luton lad but asked many that do and been told he will be a very good signing for Rangers, Coady will be a class signing, I know nothing about the Wolves cb but a club paying 10m for him 6/ 7 months ago I'm saying the potential must be there, try supporting the players ?.

JonesyCFC.

18.) 04 Jul 2025 21:42:39
One of the most negative things I've read on here!

19.) 04 Jul 2025 21:46:12
Thanks for your positivity stiv, brightened up my evening there, I was a bit pessimistic about things until I read your uplifting post.

20.) 04 Jul 2025 21:50:36
Is stiv the new sweep?

21.) 04 Jul 2025 21:52:10
To be fair lyall will be absolutely fantastic for us he's a wee baller and I think he will be the one who shocks us most, joe is exactly what we need a player who knows how to win and fight and do the dirty work, arrons has a player in him and coming and playing for Rangers might bring that back out, the giant from Peterborough we'll he's a absolute unit and under proper guidance we might have a gem. Time will tell but I feel the team has improved we also have danilo and cortes to come back an fight.

22.) 04 Jul 2025 22:02:06
Once again people like Stiv making statements without any evidence to back it up. No time given to manager or players to prove themselves. All based on the fact that they are not big names and we haven't spent double figures in millions for them. Come back at Christmas and give us an update on how it's going by then we will have some factual evidence. To quote a learned poster, Utter drivel stiv.

23.) 04 Jul 2025 22:13:23
My opinion but we will go through same cycle as always do you honestly believe the signings so far are actually going to topple other mob from across city wake up the problem is our recruitment is a disaster from Mparland Alen Bisgrove Koppen now Thelwell and Stewart this is another one look at where they came from Everton And Man Utd 2 clubs that have spiraled in recent years with them playing a massive role in it nobody questions that though best in class we were told repeatedly absolute shambles one minute were signing players from England then were told we will not go down that route anymore only to then go back to recruiting from lower leagues in England again what is our plan because I'm baffled yet your all on here same every previous season gushing at every name we get linked to as if they are Maradona yet majority of yous didn't even know who Fernandez Rothwell or even Norwegian boy Aasgaard if he signs were a week ago but now they are definitely up to standard it's laughable the majority on here and their blikers they wear.

24.) 04 Jul 2025 22:44:27
Fair play Asa sticking up for the signing policy. What have you seen in the players we've signed and players to come that excite you so far?

25.) 04 Jul 2025 22:53:00
Away and have a lie doon in a dark room stiv.

26.) 04 Jul 2025 22:57:18
I was talking to a few Leeds lads I know well and the comments I'm seeing everywhere about the players we are bringing in are the exact same feelings Leeds fans had in the beginning. They wanted the exciting players from top leagues but instead got the "temu" options. There was a great deal of frustration with fans who knew very little about the new signings.
Rothwell according to them is the player we have been missing. That experienced player that will come in and control a game. The player we have desperately missed since Davis retired.

27.) 04 Jul 2025 22:57:32
Dont judge our knowledge as poor as yours stiv some of us are football fans some of us haven't a clue and just spout nonsense based on the league the players play in. i didn't want players from the lower leagues in england myself but these guys we've been signing. 2 are from premier league teams. 1 from league 1 who probably has the most potential of any defender in the lower leagues in england due to size heading ability and intelligence. One was involved in i think it was about 12 goals in a little over half a season in the championship and got mom for a norway team including haaland odegard and other well known players. Lyall cameron also was involved in more goals than our whole squad of midfielders last season in a poor dundee side.

Please educate yourself on the players before you start saying they aren't good enough or at least give them a chance to pull the jersey on fgs.

28.) 04 Jul 2025 22:58:22
Seen Rothwell many times and he is a very good footballer, stiv problem is us beating others clubs constantly like them, but we've already proved nothing in it with games against them in fact it's been us being the better team recently.

29.) 04 Jul 2025 22:59:25
A person who knows football knows the players. are U telling me stiv65 that Joe rothwell and the Norwegian lad are not great footballers?

30.) 04 Jul 2025 23:06:39
Stiv has been fishing an use took bait ignore the clown lads we are in good place an heading in right direction ?⚪️?.

31.) 04 Jul 2025 23:09:18
Stiv you on the robbin propper?

32.) 04 Jul 2025 23:10:59
Stiv. Would say probably 90% of people know who rothwell is. He will stroll our league. Aarons also a good signing. Nobody also knows the majority of signings Celtic make but they do ok do they not? Just because u haven't heard of them does not mean there bad players. Lad from luton also norway international.

33.) 04 Jul 2025 23:11:39
One word for you stiv BED.

34.) 04 Jul 2025 23:13:32
Why does it matter where we actually shop? where is the thinking behind that other than we might save a few mill.

More worried about a player coming from the Romanian league than I am about a player coming from England.

35.) 04 Jul 2025 23:24:08
Odd post from mr negative.

36.) 04 Jul 2025 23:37:36
Aasgaard has been highly rated for last couple seasons stiv reason he's broke into the Norway team. Most people would have known who Rothwell and Aarons are. What signings did Gerrard make that made you go wow? These signings are so much better on paper than the ones he made.

37.) 04 Jul 2025 23:44:57
Personally i think Asgaard will surprise a lot of fans with his qualities, i believe we got him for a very good fee, 5 mill for a young rising attacking midfielder with his skills is a steal.
i can say one thing for sure, he will score regularly from his position with the abilities he has.

Spiv before you judge the boy, perhaps you should watch his highlights for the last 6 months, it's pretty clear after that why we have moved to sign him, as he will only get better and better.
And he is already very good.

Aarons is also a very good player.

And again just my opinion i believe the Fernadez lad will be a hit up here, he has some rough edges but, he will only strengthen our defence.

38.) 04 Jul 2025 23:46:46
Stiv.

I don't mean to be rude, but I genuinely believe football isn't a sport for you, and if you aren't happy with the signings, I'm sure there are thousands that would take your season ticket off you and go watch them instead, if you have one of course.

39.) 05 Jul 2025 00:42:40
This stiv guy really has no idea what he is talking about its like he thought we where going to be bringing in world class superstars. Personally I am very happy way most of the players we have brought in and the ones I'm no sure about I will give every chance to prove me wrong.

40.) 05 Jul 2025 01:16:00
The problem with this site is everyone forgets theirs past comments, now I'm no saying the players we bought so far will be bad, but the amount of greeting we had on here when RM was announced was embarrassing. Then had the oh we aren't buying from English championship etc, embarrassing. Never mind last pre season the get rid of Dessers brigade, now it's keep him. Raskin 2 January's ago, get rid, injured, no good etc, Dio sH*e etc. And it goes on. Igamane, oh who is he, isn't fit enough extra training waste of money, but let's take 20m for him. This guy, that guy, project, to much money. Well if you want 20m for igame, Dio etc for potential, why should others clubs sell cheap for their potential of players at least not shoot down people's opinions when it's against the reformed opinion most had previously. Fan base, is an embarrassment if you look on here and not I'd say a general consensus that people try to portray, as it's here the doom and gloom lot. Already, the new regime getting stuck, . without them you all no prob no club in a year.

41.) 05 Jul 2025 02:27:18
Stiv you have made a see you next Tuesday of a statement there lad. This is just the beginning of the transfer business where IMO we look to be signing guys the manager knows and trusts.
A CM who can get you up the park and but his foot in when required and has been an integral part of 2 successive promotions from Championship.
A RB who is quick, strong and solid with EPL and La life experience, potentially a CAM who can also play off the left who scored 12 goals for a struggling side in half a season and who got an assist, a goal and awarded MOM on his Norway debut.
Jury still out with big defender from Peterborough who we may have paid a higher fee that what he's worth in relation to what level and amount of games he's played but again has all the attributes to be a success.
We are taking a measured approach in this window and I'm excited to see what else this window has in store.
We actually have the finances to buy some decent players and equally a few sellable assets to boost coffers further.

42.) 05 Jul 2025 07:49:09
Highland you are correct and we need to remind all these people of how they are defending players now when they are on in a month moaning about how poor they are. And if we aren't top then that will happen sure as night turns to day.

43.) 05 Jul 2025 07:55:53
Aye whatever Stiv ? Only my opinion but i like the way we're going about our transfer business and think once martin gets the players he wants in place we'll be pleasantly surprised on the football we watch and style of our play and hopefully trophies will be won.

44.) 05 Jul 2025 09:08:16
Wee davo was some player Bellshill ? You couldn't get the ball off steven davis in a phone box mate, superb midfielder ?.

45.) 05 Jul 2025 09:14:35
Just clarifying that it's Purdy who is currently responsible for recruitment - not Thelwell, Martin or Stewart.

46.) 05 Jul 2025 09:28:14
Your optimism is Laughable stiv.

47.) 05 Jul 2025 09:41:58
At the end of the day we are all entitled to our opinion, we are all different people and see things differently. I for one was not totally enamoured myself with appointment of RM but will give him his chance, also on signings, not the route I wanted either, I do remember a few months ago lots were calling for more Scot's, I was one, also think we all mabye got ahead of ourselves when takeover was announced, huge war kittys were being discussed but now when the dust has settled, it's mabye not the road some wanted but it is what it is.
I can understand some fan's frustration and disappointment, but ultimately here we are, all we can do is support and hope all goes well, we can only get better, remember at times last season we were utter guff. Onwards and upwards.

48.) 05 Jul 2025 09:43:40
Totally agree with stiv. Signings are very poor so far. I fully expect good ones to come in though. These signings are going to struggle to get into the squad we all ready have.

49.) 05 Jul 2025 10:29:36
It's just an opinion folks, down south they're loads of guys from different teams saying that swift is a workhorse and his desire in training properly and working together is different class

Him Coady being very similar maybe the issue is leadership, professionalism and work ethic

I wouldn't snub bin 30+ in championship which is more like the spl isn't to be snubbed at

Free transfer but will come down to wages, surprised there's not much said about the Sheffield Wed situation City are circling another young player from them.

50.) 05 Jul 2025 10:41:34
Broxy, Aarons very poor and Rothwell very poor some just haven't got any idea on them and would be better saying nothing.

51.) 05 Jul 2025 10:53:30
Surely our head coach Russell Martin has a big say on who we sign EHL ?.

04 Jul 2025 10:48:14
Hearing that Igamane to Lille is likely off as Lille have opted to go for Udinese forward Vivaldo Semedo at price of 3M instead.

JonesyRFC1

1.) 04 Jul 2025 10:56:38
Result for us. Another year under his belter and hopefully a good manager that will use him properly and Iggy will be worth double.

2.) 04 Jul 2025 10:59:08
This was mentioned yesterday, but also saying that they still want to sign Igamane.

3.) 04 Jul 2025 11:00:15
Its already been stated the 2 signings are unrelated.

4.) 04 Jul 2025 11:03:39
He's already had his medical in France apparently. This may be just journos adding 2+2 and coming up with 5. i'm sure Lazio and Marseille will be keeping a close eye on situations.

5.) 04 Jul 2025 11:08:20
Also read that but says it will only delay Igamane move their coming back in for him once they conclude deal for Vivaldo apparently?

6.) 04 Jul 2025 11:08:44
Also think because if this is why we're going to miss out on possibly Turgeman?

7.) 04 Jul 2025 11:08:46
We keep him until our valuation is met
Brilliant player n accet to our team
If no sale this window
Brilliant player to have.

8.) 04 Jul 2025 11:12:59
No issue with this, happy for him to stay as he's a good player but also no issue with club getting £20m if he left so happy either way.

9.) 04 Jul 2025 11:15:25
Would be happy if he stayed and we sold dessers to bring in turgeman?.

10.) 04 Jul 2025 11:23:50
Clearly haven't met our asking price. Tbh would love to keep him and sell Danilo/ Dessers if possible?

11.) 04 Jul 2025 11:37:52
We certainly need to move some players on. Squad getting bloated.

12.) 04 Jul 2025 12:01:48
Hard to understand why so many of our fans want to see a 25 goal a season striker sold this summer.

13.) 04 Jul 2025 12:06:18
Mixed feelings on this one. I like the lad, and would be happy to see more of him, but history tells us we've been very poor at selling players at the right time. And realistically we need transfer gains in the bank if we're going to be able to build a squad to compete. I doubt his value will rise significantly from what it is now (given how poorly the world thinks of our league), so think this is the right time to sell and get our player trading modern going.

14.) 04 Jul 2025 12:20:52
Player unsettled now though? this is what happens when agents and clubs mess around.

15.) 04 Jul 2025 12:29:21
It would be brilliant if Igamane was still a Rangers player this season coming, he is only going to improve and his fee is only going in one direction.

16.) 04 Jul 2025 12:49:09
Need some movement trying to get rid of the usual suspects.

17.) 04 Jul 2025 13:04:13
We need to bring in some quality so its right that we can't wait until players are sold . The squad does look big but we need to be confident that we can get rid of the likes of Davies, Propper, Dowell, Cifuentes and Matondo before the window closes . Although I hear Matondo is injured again so that will make shifting him difficult. Others like Yilmaz and Dessers may go too if the right offer comes in.
The new owners know what they are doing.

18.) 04 Jul 2025 14:20:50
Out of the 3 strikers Danilo might be the preferred option to off load, and bring in Turgeman if we are interested in signing him.
Igamane according to media reports has other clubs vying for his signature.

19.) 04 Jul 2025 14:38:52
Cop, couldn't agree more.

20.) 04 Jul 2025 14:57:05
It is a waiting game and time is money.

21.) 04 Jul 2025 15:00:49
Strange that some think that Igamane's value can only increase. If he breaks his leg in the opening game we won't even get the same bid again. We should be looking for a team to match our valuation and move him on. As for Danilo, if he isn't getting selected by us, what makes you think any team will offer anything like the fee we paid for him? If we sell him now, we would be lucky to get half of what we paid out.

22.) 04 Jul 2025 15:02:42
Igamane deal still looks on. Hopefully Dessers follows ?.

23.) 04 Jul 2025 15:08:44
Copland he's hardly kicked a ball in 18 months and had a serious injury. I'm not entirely convinced there would be a queue for Danilo. If we did get an offer based on the above we'd take a hit financially. I doubt we'll move him on this window but if he proves his fitness and plays well … ??‍♂️.

24.) 04 Jul 2025 19:00:43
Danilo needs to stay, get a season under his belt, increase value again then be punted if that's best for both.

Selling now will be a loss and frankly stupid unless of course a decent offer cones in, which is unlikely.

27 Jun 2025 13:36:03
Hearing Jack Harrison of Leeds being linked with Rangers. Prob lot of rubbish but would uou be happy with this if it was to happen?

JonesyRFC1

1.) 27 Jun 2025 13:49:38
Think it's just paper talk due to the Leeds connection bud?.

2.) 27 Jun 2025 13:55:38
Never been impressed with him and we need wingers getting double figures in goals that's definitely not him.

3.) 27 Jun 2025 14:42:25
Just had a look at him, 283 games as a winger 49 goals 39 assists, goal contributions 1 in Just over 3 games, better than I thought, he'd probably get far better in our league, just a player I've never been impressed with when watching his teams.

4.) 27 Jun 2025 15:12:22
My Star he's a great player with a great work ethic. He would be brilliant in our league.

5.) 27 Jun 2025 15:15:35
If he was to come and plays like he did under bielsa the boy would be unstoppable.

6.) 27 Jun 2025 15:23:24
Tbf only seen him in a few games and looked a skillful lad but didn't know his stats where poor aw well upward and onward which wingers are we looking at though as poku looks doubtful.

7.) 27 Jun 2025 16:05:16
Since you have never rated him if we sign him he will probably be the best player in the league going by how you rate players.

8.) 27 Jun 2025 16:12:48
Big, but that's not really that bad when you consider the league he has done it in, GDog i have maybe only watched him in a handful of games (tv) but wasn't never impressed, maybe them that has watched him far more would say different mate.

9.) 27 Jun 2025 16:20:50
Brilliant again Storm ? would prefer hearing your opinion on him but you enjoy having digs, very strange behaviour, but whatever gets you off?.
Would also lose you on spotting talented footballer.

10.) 27 Jun 2025 16:21:02
Apart from his last season at Everton he always looked decent in the EPL . Left footed but plays on the right, can cross a good ball and chips in with the odd goal. I think the link with Leeds has led to this rumour but I would prefer him to some of the " experienced" players we have been linked with.

11.) 27 Jun 2025 16:30:20
My star as you know mate my cousins are leeds utd season ticket holders and they told me jack harrison would rip it up in our league and reckon he'd be a very good signing for us.

12.) 27 Jun 2025 16:32:52
Deserves an oooft Storm?.

13.) 27 Jun 2025 16:45:47
Fork that is one of the reasons i call him a rocket.

14.) 27 Jun 2025 16:48:41
Does he want him sold like the rest Sws?

15.) 27 Jun 2025 16:54:53
He'd be a great player in our league, I cannot see him having any interest in us.

16.) 27 Jun 2025 17:10:10
Liked him when I have seen him but his goal and assist stats aren't the best for a RW. I know SPL and EPLK different standards. having said that Cerny came to us with similar figures in Bundesliga so who knows he may score and assist heaps up here.

17.) 27 Jun 2025 17:11:51
My star and strom are like the old married couple on this page ?? since i turned 40 the other day i'm not sure i call use old any more tho ?.

18.) 27 Jun 2025 17:16:29
Star you know he's at the wind up?.

19.) 27 Jun 2025 17:17:46
Hahaha so you are going to sit there and praise Kieron dowell and co but wouldn't take Jack Harrison. ?? that's plenty.

20.) 27 Jun 2025 17:27:24
Mystar he would be a great signing for us the fact you don't know that says a lot more about you than me. All you do is throw digs about so practice what you preach and I know I am doing it as well before you hit back with that one.

Fork no wonder he digs people out all the time (which I know I do but I admit it he doesn't) so just given him a taste of his own medicine back.

Ps you can call me what ever you like Mystar but only one rocket on this post and it ain't me. ?.

21.) 27 Jun 2025 17:32:15
Lol Goughie, big difference, I've seen Dowell do it a couple of times in the flesh before he signed for Rangers and liked what I seen, only seen Harrison a handful of times on the telly and didn't impress me, clearly others that have watched him far more will say different.
I just had a look on the Leeds rumour page, poster, taking about Harrison moving to Rangers, it's good to have a buddy for taking our trash out.

22.) 27 Jun 2025 17:51:19
Storm you must be hard to live with that's all am saying.

23.) 27 Jun 2025 17:53:04
Storm cleary you've watched him on his better days, the lad never impressed me anytime I've watched him.

24.) 27 Jun 2025 17:59:09
No odea on this guy but concerned with the return to english league targets

Any english player we get has no chance of making england team

We are better getting foreign targets that could break into national team and impress that's where the money is (raskin / igamane) this is what Celtic have been doing for years and why you see them signing all diff nationalities

They kbow what they are doing in transfer market don't get why we are going backwards.

25.) 27 Jun 2025 17:59:11
Ur interactions can and usually are quite amusing, muscats right, an auld married couple ???.

26.) 27 Jun 2025 18:04:37
Tbf mystar recency bias might have influenced the way you view him as he's been terrible for Everton. But he was quality for Leeds for years. He would be a top signing and would score for fun in our league.

27.) 27 Jun 2025 18:32:02
Wishy probably mate, I just can't really mind of him ever sticking out in any games I've seen him play.
I said that earlier it's different story in our league though.

28.) 27 Jun 2025 18:37:03
Muscat is that you volunteering to their future debates? Lol. Boy would be a cracking signing though. Foreverrangers i have the same concerns about targetting the lower english league players mate, but its more the history of being linked with A B OR C and ending up with D and E. But the 2 signings so far imo are good solid additions that will improve the team and harrison, again imo would do the same. I also think we will cast the net wider as well though.

29.) 27 Jun 2025 20:03:34
Mystar is my Rangers rumours wifey and I love it.

All your going to say is I must be hard to live with then say something else below to me ? I love you Mystar.

When I post digs it's nit malicious it's just my weird sense of humour. People always tell me am strange ? I would hate to be normal.

There is always space for one more fork ?.

30.) 27 Jun 2025 20:12:07
Storm you must be a nightmare to live with man, like getting called strange it a bit different as well but whatever ?.

31.) 27 Jun 2025 20:32:38
3 some I'm in????.

32.) 27 Jun 2025 21:40:38
? at the ready.

33.) 27 Jun 2025 22:26:17
"wasn't never impressed" so that means you were impressed?

34.) 27 Jun 2025 22:50:04
Yass fork woo hoo. What two are giving?

Mystar my wife and son would 100% agree with you I am a nightmare to live with. I am a big ball of energy all at the wrong times ?.

20 Jun 2025 10:40:29
Villa preparing bid for Raskin. Rangers want £25M for the player.

West Ham also preparing a bid for Hamza Igamane no word of amount.

JonesyRFC1

1.) 20 Jun 2025 10:59:49
Rightly so. We should be holding out for as much as possible. Wouldn't be surprised if we accepted 20 with a sell on clause tho. Regarding Igamane, again wouldn't be surprised. If we can make big cash for these 2, plus Dio . I expect huge changes in the squad.

2.) 20 Jun 2025 11:14:54
Quite right we should be demanding that. Igamane for me would be £15m rising with incentives as he's not quite the finished article by any means.

3.) 20 Jun 2025 11:31:51
Can anyone confirm or deny Raskin has clause giving him 20% of any transfer?

4.) 20 Jun 2025 11:37:04
Bar72 think liege will possibly have 20% sell on. Also i still can't see anything about villa in for him.

5.) 20 Jun 2025 11:37:26
Bar72 i have no idea but would also confidently deny that would be the case. I'm pretty sure standard leige are to receive 20% of any profit from the 1.5 million Rangers paid for him. I can't see Rangers giving up 40% of their profit, 20 to raskin and 20 to standard liege.

6.) 20 Jun 2025 11:38:05
Yes Bar 20% for Standard.

7.) 20 Jun 2025 11:38:43
Shame to see him go. But this is absolutely the kind of sale we should be looking for if we're to get our player trading strategy up and running. £20m+ in the bank would give us the opportunity to bring in 4 or 5 good level players (wages notwithstanding) and we really do need not far off a full team of quality new faces if we're going to compete.

8.) 20 Jun 2025 11:41:20
Player I doubt has that. Doubt liege have that high either. He had 6 months on his deal, we only purchased in Jan due to Raskin wanting January move only. The % Liege negotiated would be driven with how much we were willing to stump up for him that month.

9.) 20 Jun 2025 11:45:39
If this is true another absolute howler from Ross Wilson. Last 6 months of his deal in a season we were already out of the running for the league. I can't see it.

10.) 20 Jun 2025 12:09:43
Not trying to be awkward, but genuinely intrigued as to what is meant by preparing a bid?

This would imply they've approached Rangers and confirmed our willingness to sell, received our valuation and obtained permission to speak to the player.

It would also imply the player has been contacted, is open to the move and has provisionally agreed contract length and salary.

As all of this is usually done in advance of a bid being submitted.

{Ed001's Note - I have when the media talk of preparing a bid, it is just utter bollox talk.}

11.) 20 Jun 2025 12:34:47
We will bite their hand off for 25 million.

12.) 20 Jun 2025 12:42:14
For folk complaining about the sell on % being part of the fee - Raskin was 21 when we singed him (I think) so compensation would be due even no a 'free'. To be frank I've no idea how the Belgian FA goes about assessing that, but it would likely be significantly more than what we paid for Baron I'm guessing. So that leaves us in a position of deciding:
a) do we agree a fee with his club now so e's our player; or
b) wait and take our chance alongside any other clubs that come in for him over the next 6 months, and still be hit with some kind of compensation package which we might not have much control over.

I'm absolutely fine witht he low fee and % clauses we've agreed for him. If folk are annoyed that we could potentially make £20m profit on a player in 2 years, given the low regard Scottish football is held in internationally, then I think nothing will please some!

13.) 20 Jun 2025 12:45:37
I don't believe this at all and I am not getting at your info. I just don't think any credible source has stated JT.

14.) 20 Jun 2025 12:48:03
Would be a shame to lose them both but those kind of fees let's us practically build a new teaw.

15.) 20 Jun 2025 13:14:04
My take on things this summer (going by Press/ RM those ITK) …
RM will have all players in Monday (or Monday week for internationals) . His 1st task is to prepare for Panathinaikos (a win here relieves a lot of pressure in terms or Europe for the season) . I believe there are a number of 'pending exits' for likes of Propper/ Davies/ Dowell/ Cyriel… but unless recruits to replace are ready to go I suspect they'll be here till after that tie (they are Gers players and paid still so are down to play) …after this I suspect some will depart.
In respect of Raskin (and to a lesser extent Igamane), our participation in CL football will have a bearing on them staying. Raskin is now a Full international with a growing reputation and he wants to play at a high level, which I think he's capable of. So we will undoubtedly lose some of our marquee players this summer. What has me positive is that with the new owners, and our improving financial situation, we will get much better money for these desirable types.
Dont forget some of those teams 'keen' on our players (various sources) are not necessarily pushed for time as Europe and domestic leagues really don't kick off for them till august, which is when I expect a few more dominoes to fall.
So yes I suspect our team may look similar going into our big qualifier (initially), however what could be different is our approach and style of play.
End of the day I think we are approaching the season in the correct manner and I think the manager and board WILL get it right.

16.) 20 Jun 2025 13:30:54
EHL surely means Villa are busy typing up the fax, no?

17.) 20 Jun 2025 13:35:41
Hahahaha, brilliant Sollof!

18.) 20 Jun 2025 13:57:15
EHL I'm going to assume that no bid has been placed and at this moment in time you perhaps believe players like Raskin will still be here for this season unless something drastically changes but right now I think reading between the lines these guys are going no where ?.

19.) 20 Jun 2025 14:01:25
Does preparing a bid mean having a wee whip round to see who has 25million laying about.

20.) 20 Jun 2025 14:03:57
There is no sell on clause for Raskin. Also no compensation fee would have been required as he was an international player, who would have been out of contract in the summer when we signed him in the January. so out of contract is out of contract.

Rangers signed him 6 months early and paid a decent amount for that.

The 20% nonsense is being brought up by Celtic sites on the web and X, don't believe everything they shovel.

21.) 20 Jun 2025 14:30:53
The Raskin deal would only be good to us if we get our own transfers bang on, would love to keep him as he was top drawer the last six months and went up a couple of gears, am afraid even tho I love rumours I think it's safe to wait until the scarf is above players head this summer or we could be driven crazy.

22.) 20 Jun 2025 15:16:05
If we can get 25 mill then that's incredible for a player with zero trophies won, 2 years left on his contract and currently valued at 10 million, Raskin has quality for sure.
Perhpas the media are running with this as Raskin is an international team mate of Onana and Tielmans both world class midfielders worth 4 to 5 times Raskins current value,
is that the reason for the alleged Villa link? I think we would be doing well to get 15 mill for Raskin considering his injury history with us.

Nothing against the wee guy, love his enthusiasm and he has come on leaos and bounds, we will see by end of transfer window, i'd like him to stay and sign a 2 or 3 year extension, and help us take the League title back.

23.) 20 Jun 2025 15:27:45
Sell Raskin buy Miller and maybe a couple of others.

24.) 20 Jun 2025 15:31:44
Det there is a sell on with Raskin hope that clears it up for you.

25.) 20 Jun 2025 15:44:26
LH did Raskin not win a cup with Rangers?

26.) 20 Jun 2025 17:40:35
LaudrupHagi - how do you establish Raskins current value?

27.) 20 Jun 2025 18:57:20
EHL I'll have a go at this
I'd say his performances have been getting. Better not just domestically but on the European stage and now on the international stage not looking out of place in the Belgium squad who is full of stars

Playing great against some great teams in our euro run and playing great against our rivals

He's getting better and better and going off of some other transfers I'd say he's well worth nothing short of 18 million for starters

Possibly his passing range and hold up play along with positioning on the pitch his awareness and leadership skills his overall strengths and weaknesses I'm sure comes into it if we really break it down
But I still land on nothing short of around £18 million to start the bidding?
Just my humble opinion.

28.) 20 Jun 2025 18:59:11
I'd be shocked if we agreed to a 20% sell on for raskin he only had 6 months left on contract when we got him and only gave liege a fee to let him leave early.

29.) 20 Jun 2025 19:05:15
Ehl laudrup uses one of those sites that place values on players is it transfer market I think he uses.

It's alway undervaluations whenever I've seen one quoted

For me, and I've said this for months now raskin is £25m for me. Only difference is I think we don't need to have the 5 in add ins since I originally said it.

30.) 20 Jun 2025 19:42:53
Raskin out for 25m and Miller in 6-7m makes good business and football sense to me.

31.) 20 Jun 2025 20:11:36
Cheers Stevie - that makes sense.

32.) 20 Jun 2025 21:55:44
No worries Ehl. ??.

33.) 20 Jun 2025 23:23:20
Apparantly Raskin is very happy at Rangers and in no rush to move so pressure won't come from his end when bids come in. If we are offered 25m he's gone.

34.) 21 Jun 2025 05:33:38
Millers value has doubled to 8 million from 4 million since last season at Motherwell, rising scottish star young Lennon is.

35.) 21 Jun 2025 05:35:43
EHL - i get them from Transfermarkt, not saying their valuations are spot on, but they are close, and good for reference, though i understand a club may pay well over those valuations if they really want a player for there team.
The prices we have paid for several players have been pretty close to Transfermarkt valutaions epsecially if we payed full price.

36.) 21 Jun 2025 05:37:55
Star - was Raskin not injured during the cup win, and if so he did not play in that match hence he has not won any cups.

37.) 21 Jun 2025 06:31:26
Stevie when it comes to our players it's always over valuations with the exceptions of Sakala, Bassey, Patterson, Aribo, Kamara, as we let ours walk for free or sell at hugely undervalued prices.

07 Jul 2025 13:48:53
One player I would love to see come to Rangers is Callum Wilson he's a free agent now he was on 46k a week at Newcastle. I think if we can sell some deadwood at the club he would be good up in Scotland.

JonesyRFC1

1.) 07 Jul 2025 14:15:32
I rate Callum Wilson as a player Jonesy but wouldn't swap him for dessers (his actual lookalike), as wilson is far too injury prone ?.

2.) 07 Jul 2025 14:16:34
If we sell a striker then i would like us to sign turgeman or de jong as a replacement ?.

3.) 07 Jul 2025 14:16:41
I bet you would JonesyCFC what about signing for your club? he misses far to many games through injury now.

4.) 07 Jul 2025 14:19:58
Another injury prone player on too big wages far too big a risk for me.

5.) 07 Jul 2025 14:23:37
Very good player, I thought I'd read he was retiring but clearly not. Too many injuries for me and would demand a high wage we'd be unlikely to meet.

6.) 07 Jul 2025 14:51:27
Would take him in a second mate great shout i just seen this on sky sports news and thought the same as what youve just said.

7.) 07 Jul 2025 15:19:49
I work with a newcastle fan and asked him this very question last night. He said stay clear.

8.) 07 Jul 2025 16:27:13
No chance would be another rooofe.

9.) 07 Jul 2025 16:36:30
It would be a no from me.

10.) 07 Jul 2025 17:23:10
And today's participant in the over the hill overpaid striker search is. drum roll.

06 Jul 2025 09:57:40
I think Rangers are waiting on the sale of Dessers to help fund the move for Turegman

Patati I don't think will happen out of our price range just paper talk

Ray-saki from palace loan to buy if palace lower there asking price of £10m.

JonesyRFC1

1.) 06 Jul 2025 10:12:24
Yet you said this on the rumour page about Rak-saki,

"He's stats are hardly impressive and he's another player with league 1 / championship experience"

Strange.

2.) 06 Jul 2025 10:15:50
JonesyCFC that Palace loan is also paper talk.

3.) 06 Jul 2025 10:27:32
€8m is £6.9m, ryan kent cost 6.5m 6 years ago. if players are moved on i don't see €8m being a problem if it's a player they really want.

4.) 06 Jul 2025 10:45:04
Turgeman to replace Danilo would be my preference.

5.) 06 Jul 2025 11:12:55
Jonesy, why is Patati out of our price range and Ray-saki isn't?

6.) 06 Jul 2025 11:23:55
And also the £8m Patati is too expensive but the £10m Rak-Sakyi isnt. so a 20% cut in fee to even get level to a player we can't afford. does that sound logical?

29 Jun 2025 11:21:06
Coady, Beck and Turgeman I think will sign and hopefully before the match with Panithonikos.

JonesyRFC1

1.) 29 Jun 2025 11:25:57
If we're signing beck then for me that spells the end for Yilmaz, obviously it could be jefte that leaves but I'd say he's got a years development to go first so Yilmaz must be the one leaving. We're not going into season with 4 left backs as we have Fraser aswell:

2.) 29 Jun 2025 11:26:55
How's playing rw? Hopefully one arrives this week.

3.) 29 Jun 2025 11:35:28
Sorry, Who's playing rw.

4.) 29 Jun 2025 13:05:44
Aarons with Tav at right back, hahahha.

19 Jun 2025 11:56:40
If you could have any player you like at Rangers that isn't necessarily on Rangers radar right now just someone you fancy who would it be? (Be realistic)

JonesyRFC1

1.) 19 Jun 2025 12:12:49
Abdel Abqar Right Sided CB. OOC at Deportivo Alaves. 26 yr old Moroccan International. Wasn't on a wage we couldn't beat either out there.

2.) 19 Jun 2025 12:28:00
Realistically the boy Cadden from Hibs. He whips in a great ball and he has some energy. There's two of them but I can't remember who's who.

3.) 19 Jun 2025 13:44:09
Nick LWB and Chris RWB.

13 Jun 2025 12:28:21
Dunno why Rangers aren't trying to get Millwall defender Japhet Tanganga he has prem experience and had a good campaign in the championship he only has a 1.2M release clause. I think he could do a job for us.

JonesyRFC1

1.) 13 Jun 2025 12:35:21
Isn't this clause only available to prem clubs.

2.) 13 Jun 2025 12:35:37
Wages as EHL alluded to.

3.) 13 Jun 2025 12:38:13
Think people
Touched on this it's his wages.

I was banging this drum last summer mate, a player I've always rated since he was a youth player at spurs. Would be very good on the right of a back 3 funnily enough.

4.) 13 Jun 2025 13:32:42
Japhet Tanganga Is attracting a lot of interest from EPL clubs including Palace, Leeds and Sunderland.

If we don’t buy striker, wingers and maybe cb/ rb we have no chance of winning the league. I think with team we have now we will be struggling to finish second. Probably one of the worst performing rangers sides I have seen.

Hate to say it but Celtic transfer business for years now has been good always seem get players in then sell them for good profit and replace them again and repeat where as most of our signings have been absolutely useless bar a few. I think unfortunately are miles behind them and that's a harsh reality most of us can't accept. I am not a fan of our transfer business so far lower leagues in England seems to be martin aim. I think it's going to be a long season again.
