I don't claim to have any inside sources, but a well-oiled bear i was talking to in my local Wetherspoons this afternoon claimed to be well in the know.

This is either 100% true or 100% bull but with the amount of detail he went into he managed to be very convincing even while slurring his words.

According to my drunk friend, rangers have agreed an option/ obligation to buy deal with Brighton for sima.

Option to buy for £8m but just like the tilman deal, Brighton can cancel the option if they compensate us £2m

Obligation to buy for £10m with add on's potentially rising to £12m if we qualify for the champions league group stage via any one of our 3 options

Win the league

Or

Finish 2nd and qualify via the highest co-efficient scenario

Or

Quality via the play offs

Has anyone else heard this?

I see a lot of paper talk saying we’re going to offer the money for him wasn’t sure if any truth in it
He’s been a good player and I like him and think I’d be happy to get him permanently as I think he will get better more he settles in up here?

2.) 19 Jan 2024 19:41:25
If we pay 12m for sima we should just Chuck it. Utter crazy talk.

3.) 19 Jan 2024 19:41:33
He’s not worth that money.

4.) 19 Jan 2024 19:42:25
He’s going into the last 12 months of his contract come the summer.
Was t great in France last season and hasn’t made the grade in England
His goals return is very good but his general performances haven’t been worthy of that kind of fee.

I believe he’s worth £5-6m .
We won’t offer 8-10 I don’t see it.

5.) 19 Jan 2024 19:49:46
I don’t think he’s worth anything like £8m.

6.) 19 Jan 2024 20:08:51
I like Sima but he ain't worth that. Doubt we will pay half that tbh.

7.) 19 Jan 2024 21:18:53
I wouldn’t pay £8 million for Sima.

8.) 19 Jan 2024 21:37:01
For as much as Sima doing ok not worth that sort of money . Sure we cd get better for less if not coming from English league . Scouting network has to do its job . Not sure we can afford to spend that amount on one player.

9.) 19 Jan 2024 22:09:46
Brighton paid 8 mill euros plus 4 mill in add on clauses, so potentially 12 million if those add on conditions were met.
Hence the constant loans, to avoid the add ons.
Exactly the same as we have done with Yilmaz, which makes sense why he would be unhappy at

Ranger will not pay 8 mill plus 4 mill in add ons for a attacker that has 12 months left on his contract once his loan finishes.

more like 4-5 million will be our offer.

I would like to see Sima play as CF with Silva as a 10 behind him, with Matondo on the LW and Mcausland on the RW.

Sima has so much composure and confidence when in on goal, it's a no brainer to move him into CF once he is back from AFCON.

10.) 19 Jan 2024 22:53:11
I think Sima does a job for us but I’d much prefer proper wingers who can carry the ball and beat a man. If we don’t bring in a striker I’d like to see what Sima could do there once he’s back.

11.) 20 Jan 2024 01:14:27
Sima is hardly beeing played in the Senegal AFCON squad, completely left out of the squad for the next game.

Club record

played 113 scored 37, averaging 1 goal per 3 games.

However if you look at teams where Sima has been played regularly .

Slavia Prague 39 games 16 goals.
Glasgow Rangers 33 games 15 goals and counting ;D.

09 Sep 2023 18:26:23
I heard today that Scotty Arfield wants to come back to us on loan in January.
His wife hates it out there

Source is a mate of arfeild.

Sir walter

1.) 09 Sep 2023 19:11:06
I can confirm straight from horses mouth this is nonsense.

2.) 09 Sep 2023 19:28:54
Well that would be an embarrassment resigning a 34 year old who wasn’t even a starter when he was last here.

3.) 09 Sep 2023 19:49:53
100% can not happen. Were not a charity case cause his missus not liking it. Was time to move on.

4.) 09 Sep 2023 19:59:15
Loved Arfield, but don't think we should bring him back.

5.) 09 Sep 2023 20:10:10
Sir Walter I hope not. We are trying to move forward.

6.) 09 Sep 2023 20:12:56
Good player, but his time is up.

7.) 10 Sep 2023 10:39:18
His time has gone but certainly the type of player we need.

8.) 10 Sep 2023 13:01:34
He might get a loan move back to a Scottish club, but it won`t be to us . His time with us is over, unfortunately.

07 Aug 2023 17:23:55
Could well be Colin Nish but my jambo mate was showing me a rumour on a hearts fan forum that said we are looking to cancel the lowery loan already?

Sir walter

1.) 07 Aug 2023 17:38:41
No chance doubt we’d even be allowed to.

2.) 07 Aug 2023 17:43:47
I hope not, he needs the game time and Hearts are perfect for him right now - maybe see what happens come January.

3.) 07 Aug 2023 17:47:21
We can get him back in jan.

4.) 07 Aug 2023 17:51:46
At first sight I though Jester was linking us with ColinNish now ?.

5.) 07 Aug 2023 18:34:07
Cannot legally break the contract, recall option in January.

6.) 07 Aug 2023 18:47:24
I'm sure I read that a loan has to be window to window . don't know how that's affected with window still being open.

7.) 07 Aug 2023 19:08:51
Better he stays at Hearts until January and gets game time. You never know, by the time January comes around we might have a new manager!

8.) 07 Aug 2023 19:08:54
Anyone else getting fed up with the word 'window '?

9.) 07 Aug 2023 19:21:19
cannot see it unless there is a huge injury crisis.

10.) 07 Aug 2023 19:34:49
Why would the word WINDOW upset you?

11.) 07 Aug 2023 20:11:27
One game for Hearts and we're cancelling his loan? . SURE!

12.) 07 Aug 2023 20:39:35
I didn’t think it was possible to get him back after one game, just passing on what I was shown from a jambo co worker.

13.) 07 Aug 2023 21:26:10
The rule seems to be "can invariably recall a player from loan" whether a club who have been loaned the player can cancel is decided on a case by case basis. So yes Rangers can recall at any time would be the answer.

14.) 07 Aug 2023 21:49:41
Yup Kelso getting tired of window as well I would change it to veranda or something nicer. But be careful you have upset the resident troll / halfwit.

15.) 07 Aug 2023 23:04:03
Rangers could have an injury crisis tomorrow. I’m certain it will be written into this loan deal that the player can be recalled at any time. The only problem is that a player cannot play for more than 2 clubs in a single season so Lowry would be stuck at Rangers until next summer. Lowry would be much better at Hearts playing regular football, than doing nothing at Ibrox.

On a related note I read Lewis Mayo had more clean sheets than any other player in the SPFL last season. Is that true? I still cannot believe we let that boy go. Kilmarnock signed 10 players and the only one they paid something for was Mayo and it would’ve been next to nothing. Let’s just hope itks not another Greg Taylor situation whereby he leaves our academy and is worth millions a few years later. I expect that will happen with McCrorie after he leaves. What a mess.

16.) 08 Aug 2023 08:38:49
Recall at any time.

17.) 08 Aug 2023 15:50:23
I'll be relieved when that transfer veranda finally closes ??.

18.) 08 Aug 2023 17:31:58
No it's to be the transfer 1 bed bungalow or ranch door now, I really liked "caravan " with the Saudi's so heavily involved .

18 Jan 2019 11:12:17
Any word on a permanent deal for Kent? Not heard much recently
I’m worried he has a blistering 2nd half of the season and we get priced out from an epl team.

Sir walter

1.) 18 Jan 2019 17:13:06
Either way sir walter, we have to hope that he does have a blistering second half of the season. I hope we can get him permanently, he seems very keen to stay👍.

2.) 18 Jan 2019 20:47:04
I hope so Coldo! That’s why I’d rather see the deal done now.

3.) 18 Jan 2019 22:00:00
I’d be worried long term, but a blistering second half of the season would be ideal for our title credentials.
I guesstimate Liverpool want to see how he progresses before making a decision at the end of the season and there’s a strong chance we will get him on loan for additional 12m at worst.

4.) 19 Jan 2019 00:37:06
You sound like your telling yourself things you hope to hear and you've convinced yourself.

5.) 19 Jan 2019 08:42:39
Or that Iv read the reports in the media stating we will revisit the situation at the end of the season.
Or the fact we have said we want him and he is happy to be here, which means he is either signed permanently if deal can be struck, or is sent out on additional loan spell again as Liverpool are happy with his progress.
Playing great in SPFL usually means you don’t break into the very top sides in BPL just ask Patrick Roberts.
Only time BPL clubs take players performing well in our league is when they are a mid table team.
He wasn’t great on loan in Championship last season so I’d imagine Liverpool would sell or loan him back.

6.) 19 Jan 2019 09:39:39
He isn’t and will never be good enough for Liverpool I reckon we are his level so hopefully he will stay. Sure Liverpool won’t ask too much for him.

17 Jan 2019 21:30:37
Probably Colin Nish but the transfer tavern are on about yohan cabaye coming to us lol.

Sir walter

1.) 19 Jan 2019 08:06:24
Sir walter, you should give it a bye. Not cabaye.

Evening lads . I was wondering if any of yous know whether an option to buy was involved in the lammers deal, I can't remember.
If he keeps this form up he could well be worth more than we paid.

Sir walter

1.) 15 Apr 2024 20:13:20
Sure it's a straight loan but tbh if we get 2/ 3m we should take it and run.

2.) 15 Apr 2024 22:07:23
Agree Sir walter 7 goals in his last 6 games.

3.) 15 Apr 2024 22:36:09
Sir Walter no option to buy.

4.) 15 Apr 2024 23:12:42
The fact that Lammers has scored 7 goals in his last 6 games is reflective of the lack of quality tam mates he had around him at Rangers, we are too quick to dismiss some players as useless, he certainly is not useless, and, he's doing it in a higher quality league.

5.) 15 Apr 2024 23:36:20
He wouldve took 2 seasons to score 7 for us.

6.) 16 Apr 2024 06:07:30
Maybe he gets more space to move into in Holland or something about the league suits him better.

We need someone who can finish first time in a packed box.

7.) 16 apr 2024 07:44:30
maybe they use him as a centre forward, maybe we should have given him a chance at his true position, who knows.

01 Feb 2024 20:02:20
Not a rumour, just a thought
We could easily get van veen in the door for pennies, not the exciting transfer we all hoped for but if there's nothing happening in terms of a striker I'd rather have van veen as back up to dessers than have no back up at all .

I've also read that wee prick Kents move to lazio has fallen through. At this late stage I'd take him to play wide for a six month loan freeing silva up as cover in the striker position

Just a last min thought, feel free to slate and belittle me haha.

Sir walter

1.) 01 Feb 2024 20:07:46
Van aye kent nope.

2.) 01 Feb 2024 20:12:20
Kent wasn't good enough the first time, certainly wouldn't be good enough this time.

3.) 01 Feb 2024 20:16:30
We have just signed cortes so why would kent come? wouldn't want him anywhere near the club.

4.) 01 Feb 2024 20:21:23
Looks like van even signing for Kilmarnock. As you say I'd rather him for back up as nobody. If dessers get injured that's it done. can see silva ain't an out an out striker.

5.) 01 Feb 2024 20:24:18
You call him a wee prick then say you would take him lol folk are losing the plot man!

6.) 01 Feb 2024 20:31:40
Van veen, really? Guy has had 1 good season his entire football career, can't get in a team in Dutch 2nd division.

7.) 01 Feb 2024 21:01:48
Paul, is that signing of Cortes official mate, We need a goal scorer to support Dessers.

8.) 01 Feb 2024 21:35:27
Yes kent is a wee prick but he’s an attacker that’s available for pennies .
Id rather kent playing wide left on a Thursday night over motondo or Scot wright .

9.) 02 Feb 2024 00:25:52
King and ulster try reading people are saying him over nothing not that he would be their choice but a last resort over nothing.

20 Jan 2024 16:17:54
I don't post on here much but I'm a daily reader of the rumours . I've noticed that I often read rumours on here in the evening and the next morning some media sources write what was on here

So. yesterday I thought I'd do a little experiment and I posted a story about information I heard in the pub about the transfer of sima . This was total lies and I was spouting absolute Colin Nish haha

This morning Fog football and football insider ran with pretty much exactly what I posted even down to the fine details of the deal that I picked out my arse haha.

Bravo to rangers for keeping their cards so close to their chest that these media sources are reduced to regurgitating nonsense that is often posted on here.

Some of you guys have genuine good sources and information, I love to read it but I know nothing lol

I wonder if the news tomorrow is Brighton have rejected our offer for sima haha.

Sir walter

1.) 20 Jan 2024 16:34:12
White horse done the same over a week ago.

2.) 20 Jan 2024 16:36:34
Sir Walter. They definitely come on here.

3.) 20 Jan 2024 18:58:40
100% I had a throw away comment on former Aston Villa winger and next day was in These so called rangers news stories too

It’s mostly Colin Nish as you said let’s you realise anyone can be a football journalist.

08 Jun 2023 14:19:17
Guys is it a coincidence that we are link with all these American/ mls players or is it something do to with American investment in the club?

Sands
Tillman
Trusty
Gutierrez
Hagi wright
Cinfuentes

Just a thought I had.

Sir walter

1.) 08 Jun 2023 14:57:31
Can't see it sirwalter clearly were just scouting that market.

2.) 08 Jun 2023 16:09:57
The standard is improving rapidly in the MLS def a market we should be studying and have scouts on the ground over there analysing.

3.) 08 Jun 2023 16:21:28
Think we must have scouts from over there scotty.

4.) 08 Jun 2023 20:44:40
Sands didn’t exactly work out. Out his depth albeit out of position a lot.

5.) 08 Jun 2023 21:25:24
Actually mean America scouts working for us.

6.) 09 Jun 2023 09:30:34
i thought we had scouted US for a few years now. as most mention the talent they are attracting now is getting better so makes sense that we are in there looking.

01 Jun 2023 07:09:50
Ashley young anyone?
Beale said he wants to bring in an older head
He's available on a free
Beale knows him from villa
37 but still good enough for a season in the spl

Left back/ winger.

Sir walter

1.) 01 Jun 2023 09:01:02
Not on the wages he is on.

2.) 01 Jun 2023 09:32:58
Why would we let McGregor Arfield go and then sign a 37 year old, I mean why?

3.) 01 Jun 2023 09:52:07
Simply because Ashley Young is still a very good player.

4.) 01 Jun 2023 09:56:51
What does McGregor and Arfield have to do with Young, Ethelbert?

I don’t believe that would be a good move but don’t understand your point.

5.) 01 Jun 2023 10:04:41
No chance, should have kept arfield.

6.) 01 Jun 2023 10:08:43
Not for me.

7.) 01 Jun 2023 10:20:05
Gdog no one on here understands coldo points bar coldo himself.

8.) 01 Jun 2023 11:23:44
Tbh Ashley Young is a cracking player and a bit of a freak of nature as he is as quick now as he ever was. Fitter than a butcher's dog. We could do worse tbh.

9.) 01 Jun 2023 12:52:51
Beale clarified his comments by saying he didn`t mean veterans, he meant a few players that had played in different leagues and in Europe . He wants some experience but not older players.

10.) 01 Jun 2023 12:53:45
We are clearly not signing over the hill players and instead we are letting them go, what's so hard to understand? Anyone who's anyone can see this??.

11.) 01 Jun 2023 14:27:57
Ethelbert, not everyone has the football intelligence you have, go easy on us mere mortals.

12.) 01 Jun 2023 15:03:32
Our manager stated we won't be signing veterans mark44 so why suggest we should? Your sarcasm encourages these types of posts and I have been going easy?.

I can’t remember where I heard it but one of the many rangers related podcast I listen to daily mentioned oli mcburnie on a Bosman in the summer?
I’ve never been impressed anytime I’ve watched him but he must have something considering the fees he’s gone for in the past .
Only 27 years old
13 appearances 6 goal involvements this season.

I’d take him on a free in the hope of selling him back down south for 5,6,7,8 million.

What do you guys think?

Personally I’d take big shanks but I don’t think he’s the type of player that PC would want, the gaffer seems to like players that are athletic and hard working .
Again I’d like to see shanks at rangers but (don’t shoot me) is he really better than big dessers?

Even though big dessers sometimes looks as if he’s never seen a footballw before, It’s hard to argue with his goals to game ratio Since PC come in.

Let’s not forget Shankland takes penalties and Dessers doesn't.

I don’t know the exact numbers but I think dessers is on about 13 goals this season.

I think tav had scored maybe about 10 penalties?

Granted dessers probably isn't as good at penalties as tav but if tav has scored 10 then let’s say dessers would have at least 7 if he was our penalty taker?

Rough maths that would put big Cyril on 20 goals in February! Not to shabby

I think dessers and shanks are both similar styles and having them both would be a waste.

Might be out our price range come the summer but I recon he’s more the style of player PC wants than Shankland is.

Shankland is a modern day kris Boyd we’d be stupid not to sign him . Yes he’s probably not quick or technical enough to play up top himself in Europe or that but 30+ goals a season shouldn’t be scoffed at.
