Michael Beale in Glasgow Airport this evening (came through Arrivals). I'm hoping it's just as a lover of Scotland and not for any professional purposes. Surely to God.

allyg72

1.) 29 Apr 2025 00:05:38
He left last week. He was on my pals flight to palma. I'm sure his family still lives here.

2.) 29 Apr 2025 00:13:51
Never sold his house when he left
Believe he has a wee farmhouse type thing somewhere. Lovely place from what I've seen of it online.

3.) 29 Apr 2025 06:51:31
Michael Beale and his family still stay in Balmaha in Loch Lomond. His family love it up here and haven't moved back down south.

4.) 29 Apr 2025 07:05:47
I've been to Glasgow airport once or twice and it's pure dead brilliant so it is.
Stevie G Beale stayed in Balfron when he was with us.

5.) 29 Apr 2025 07:18:55
Did he buy it with his payoffs?.

6.) 29 Apr 2025 08:18:41
Did he get away there were blackouts across Spain and Portugal yesterday which cancelled flights. not sure when power came on again.

7.) 29 Apr 2025 08:22:12
Thanks gents. That makes sense.

8.) 29 Apr 2025 08:29:54
That's Prestwick three cheers ?.

9.) 29 Apr 2025 08:34:28
Angus, one of my friends stays in Spain now, blackout for 72 hrs he was told yesterday afternoon, don't know anything about the situation right now, mate.

10.) 29 Apr 2025 09:19:09
3 cheers what's balfron mate mate? Excuse the ignorance.

11.) 29 Apr 2025 09:48:49
Just gave him a phone, his phone is dead.

12.) 29 Apr 2025 09:56:05
My star. seems to be fixed as we had friends in Portugal who can fly back today.

Stevie Balfron is a village not far from Loch Lomond.

13.) 29 Apr 2025 09:59:25
Balfron is the village where Beale lives.

14.) 29 Apr 2025 10:07:34
Balfron is a wee village Stevie about 15 miles from the training centre.
Haha so it is Colonel but Glezga airport is pure dead brilliant as well with it's bars, aeroplanes duty free and plane spotters and restaurants that charge 12 quid for a roll on sausage with lots of happy people. I love the duty free part when you can squirt yer mates with some nice perfume for free.

15.) 29 Apr 2025 10:13:09
Devastating news with the power cuts in Spain and Portugal just spare a wee thought for all that warm beer.

16.) 29 Apr 2025 10:40:11
Balfron is a place/ school.

17.) 29 Apr 2025 11:12:51
Three Cheers, Beale has a home in Balfron (stevieG, this an area north of Milngavie) from his time at Rangers. Gerrard stayed in an apartment in the housing complex that was built on the site of the old BBC Studios in the West End. ?.

18.) 29 Apr 2025 11:36:21
Good news Angus, what was that all about mate, cyber attack?

19.) 29 Apr 2025 11:40:04
Beers lads.

20.) 29 Apr 2025 12:30:27
It was because they've too reliant of renewable energy. We'll be similar in the future.

21.) 29 Apr 2025 12:36:26
Yes please Stevie and can i be cheeky and have a wee dram chaser as well.

22.) 29 Apr 2025 12:45:08
News said it was atmospherics. Sky and the beeb.

23.) 29 Apr 2025 12:52:28
Three cheers. Think that may have been a wishful thinking in my behalf brother haha.

24.) 29 Apr 2025 13:12:43
Newist theory it was a Solar energy dip put the system into standy mode. I suppose you could class that as unusal atmospheric conditions for Spain. Just a couple of weeks ago they were celebrating having their grid running on 100% renewables. I might just invest in candles.

25.) 29 Apr 2025 14:50:25
Portuguese were blaming the Spanish and being reported as high variations in temperature affecting the high voltage power lines.

26.) 29 Apr 2025 15:07:24
So was my auntie Gladys Allyg and even she is ahead of MB for a job at Rangers.

18 Mar 2025 15:13:56
Apologies if others have rumoured this. but I'm told Grétar Steinsson as DoF. Same source who told me about Bisgrove leaving before it broke in news.

allyg72

1.) 18 Mar 2025 19:01:22
Think it seems to be the general concensus, but as of yet no definitive confirmation, plus is he not director of operations at the 49ers group. Guess we'll find out soon.

2.) 18 Mar 2025 19:07:37
Not to be pedantic but it's not Director of Football, it is Sporting Director.

3.) 18 Mar 2025 22:52:58
Director of Football, Sporting Director and Director of Sporting Operations are three of the variations I've heard around the club.

Think PS used Sporting Director in one of his earlier interviews - so you are probably correct wsl.

4.) 19 Mar 2025 15:09:45
That's the name that jumped out at me for a while now
Why else does he keep attending games

I wonder how he will do if its indeed him.

5.) 19 Mar 2025 17:13:26
Because he is part of the company that's in talks to take over the stig that might be the reason.

6.) 19 Mar 2025 17:47:35
Just noticed Stig and Mark stated this rumour previously on Banter page.

7.) 20 Mar 2025 07:38:25
Doesn't matter Ally, people may have missed it, so stick it up bud?? the more the merrier.

27 Jan 2025 06:45:27
But! the online European magazine reporting Marseille have missed out on Ignamane to Tottenham, who are now favourites to sign him.

allyg72

1.) 27 Jan 2025 06:53:09
Is there any strikers linked to us if Ignamane is to leave and what sort of price are spurs offering.

2.) 27 Jan 2025 07:35:29
Won't be long until someone is shouting for Shankland lol.

3.) 27 Jan 2025 07:36:21
We have portfolio of players we actively monitor in every position.

Only challenge would be time, as we're a tough sell for players, so getting something over the line in 3 or 4 days could be difficult.

4.) 27 Jan 2025 07:37:05
Broxi it's click bait nonsense at the moment. Spurs have bigger issues like if they are keeping there manager.

5.) 27 Jan 2025 07:37:59
I'd be looking for the 25m that lot git for Jota if it's Spurs. Wouldn't be doing ange any favours.

6.) 27 Jan 2025 07:48:39
Maybe just me? But given we are struggling to put a team out every week! Does it not worry anyone that in the last few days there is speculation of Butland, Yilmaz, propper, Hagi, Raskin, Dessers, Igamane all going?
At the same time an injury list like the Somme!
And not a lot coming in?
As I say, might just be me.

7.) 27 Jan 2025 08:09:18
Wouldn't worry much Bar72. It's just last week of transfer window and gives paper something to make up. Can't see any of first team moving this window.

8.) 27 Jan 2025 08:13:08
I get what you're saying BAR72, but there is absolutely zero chance that every single 1 of those players will leave. 1, maybe 2 maximum. Those more likely to leave are the non contributers ie matondo, dowell, Lawrence. And then maybe 1 of your list.

9.) 27 Jan 2025 08:23:07
Absolutely no chance Igamane leaves now.

The club will be determined to keep until at least after the UCL qualifiers.

10.) 27 Jan 2025 08:29:23
Bar that's a good sign more than a worry. Means our business is under wraps and being handled a lot more professionally. We need to become a selling club and it has to start with players like Raskin, Igamane, Diomande.

11.) 27 Jan 2025 08:51:24
We just have to trust Koppen.

12.) 27 Jan 2025 10:00:33
Spurs going to sign players when their manager might be getting the sack? and they have no clue who would want the job . sacking pongyclogshoe would be a big number too though £10m or more?

13.) 27 Jan 2025 10:05:05
Emanuel Dennis linked in English media. Mental wages but.

14.) 27 Jan 2025 10:33:46
Spurs won't be signing a striker when their full defence is out.

15.) 27 Jan 2025 10:46:34
It's never a bad thing our players being linked with top clubs as long as the money is right.

16.) 27 Jan 2025 11:14:13
I'm not buying this igamane move this window, Patrick Stewart said we won't sell this window, and would he have played yesterday if a move was imminent?

30 Oct 2024 21:26:10
New CEO was thought to be in the can. until today when the successful applicant rejected the post.

allyg72

1.) 30 Oct 2024 22:01:57
Who ?.

2.) 30 Oct 2024 22:11:47
It’s a new manager we need.

3.) 30 Oct 2024 22:19:23
Very prominent individual. left field appointment but he's turned it down.

4.) 30 Oct 2024 22:29:25
Clemente has to go now surely?

5.) 30 Oct 2024 22:54:44
Again i'll ask you allyg72,who ?.

6.) 30 Oct 2024 23:12:03
As I said the other day and was ridiculed on here, this is turning into Paul le guen part 2 and is only going to get worse and worse. He needs to go now or are most of you just waiting for that next slip up then we pull the trigger?!

7.) 30 Oct 2024 23:21:27
Hopeless ?.

8.) 30 Oct 2024 23:22:55
Wonder why?

9.) 31 Oct 2024 02:53:38
If said individual doesn't want to be here can't blame him right now so who cares sws, we've got bigger issues like paying off Clement and getting Tav and Dessers out the door with him.

10.) 31 Oct 2024 04:00:51
Ger88 THE problem is the manager and needs to go. The players are an irrelevance right now because no matter his team selections it doesn’t matter because the way he sets up to play every single game is flawed.
If it is about the players Dessers was the darling of the fans at hampden after scoring 2 against Ross County and 90% of the fans said that we just couldn’t afford to sell our 22 goal striker which I still find baffling 2 months later.

11.) 31 Oct 2024 04:35:03
The problem isn't the manager if the manager is the problem after a year 3 years in a row. We were going under again and the board decided to viciously cut wages which meant youth over experience. That's no excuse however for the gutless performances. I think that's down to most the players not wanting / regretting being at the club not knowing the toxicity they were walking into. It's a vicious cycle we're caught in.

12.) 31 Oct 2024 04:51:05
I care ger88,as a CEO being appointed has a big say along with a new chairman regarding the manager's position for god's sake! Can/ will gilligan and the board members that's left want to even contemplate making this massive decision without a CEO and a permanent chairman ?So that's why i care my friend, think about it ?.

13.) 31 Oct 2024 06:04:33
Rabbi the manager had no style he is part of the problem and he continues to play captain Tav who was at fault for both goals.

14.) 31 Oct 2024 06:35:04
Tav must have a 'start when fit' clause in his contract. it's the only thing that makes sense and would again demonstrate how restricted PC has been.

Either that or he's a poor manager. but, given the Hagi situation and how PC handled that, I'm inclined to go with the former.

15.) 31 Oct 2024 08:10:21
Sws the guy knocked us back, so it's irrelevant to us now and the search continues.

16.) 31 Oct 2024 08:10:29
Phil, we have "wide men" that cut inside to congested areas, we have midfielders who continually pass it back, and defenders who are allergic to stopping crosses, and then play tippy tippy in their own box when under pressure, do you not see a problem? If only he would answer us instead of the same answers after every game!

17.) 31 Oct 2024 08:26:57
There's no point in sacking the manager until the current board is removed. Or else we'll be looking for a new manager this time next year ( again) . Except we'll be a further 20m in the red with 7 new players who don't fancy it.

18.) 31 Oct 2024 08:51:22
The manager is not the issue as we had more possetion and more shots on goal most matches this season the problem we have is the attacking players can not score a goal to save there life, apart from cerny. If we had a striker who could score all the chances he gets we would be top.

19.) 31 Oct 2024 09:12:45
Ibrox the manager is the issue we have no style of play.

Coops it doesn’t matter as the guy said no so it’s completely irrelevant who it is.

20.) 31 Oct 2024 09:14:11
Ibrox does the Celtic striker score all their goals? They are top. Did there striker finish top goalscorer last year? When they won the league?

21.) 31 Oct 2024 09:42:25
Ibrox, I get your point but it's the manager who chooses to play probably the most technically gifted player we have at the club out of position, persist with Lawrence who has no legs, and boot balls up to a striker who has no control. Last night we had no attacking threat whatsoever and that's down to the way he set us up. If you watch the Aberdeen manager he made changes to keep his attacking threat alive in the wide areas. Clement refuses to utilise the strengths in his squad for his own arrogance.

22.) 31 Oct 2024 10:15:21
Irrelevant of our off field problems the players and staff are still getting paid on time therefore should be doing the job they are here for. The manager is to blame for that not happening not the absent board members.

23.) 31 Oct 2024 10:36:44
The manager is definitely the issue.

24.) 31 Oct 2024 10:57:13
Rabbi your point would stand if it was Celtic we were 9 behind. Being 9 behind Aberdeen is just not on they have less funds and less wages than us there is no excuses it’s down to the manager. Yes the board are a massive issue off the park but I refuse to believe a better manager who has a style of play and an identity and knows how to set up a solid team would not get a better tune our of these players. There is some decent young players there jefte Sterling kasanwirjo raskin Barron maybe Diomande Cortes Bajrami Igamane maybe and then Butland Cerny both decent too just need a good manager and to sign a proper goal scorer and a proper CB.

25.) 31 Oct 2024 11:44:16
It's a lose, lose, it's both the team n the manager, tav should be away, hopelessness n he's a lost cause no desire too drive us to a win, we need a fighter n a Scottish core no millions thrown at european players who don't know or can cut out league
Managers selection n set up at time is questionable ?
We ain't even second best team in Scotland now
That's a hard fact
We ain't feared no more
It's problems at board level
Team players and manager as well
We are dire just now fact.

26.) 31 Oct 2024 11:48:28
Agree Wishy Bear, good points you’ve made.

27.) 31 Oct 2024 11:51:50
I agree Wishy, there is quality in this squad and we should be doing a lot better than we are right now and this purely down to the man in charge, no one else.

28.) 31 Oct 2024 12:22:03
Storm, Tav was not at fault for both goals. Yiu are mental. Raskin got skint for the first and our LB leftchis man toscore.
The second butlandn flapped and let the ball go through his legs and again our LB left his man.

29.) 31 Oct 2024 14:33:22
He was at fault for both goals that’s my opinion you can have a different one I don’t care.

30.) 31 Oct 2024 15:09:11
The board will need to act as they won't want to get the flak or see attendances dip .

31.) 31 Oct 2024 15:15:21
You can but blatant lies don't wash with me.

29 Jun 2024 16:52:58
Hearing today that the stadium reconstruction is expected to run into October. A statement from the club is forthcoming but one further option is being considered (outwith the Murrayfield and Hampden options previously reported) .

allyg72

1.) 29 Jun 2024 17:08:27
I can't see that happening.

2.) 29 Jun 2024 17:41:45
Where other than hampden or Merryfield could we play. Firhill maybe!

3.) 29 Jun 2024 17:42:35
Only other stadium would be the piggery so that's a non starter.

4.) 29 Jun 2024 17:42:52
There is only one more stadium possibly big enough………surely not?.

5.) 29 Jun 2024 18:13:17
Should be a refund of some of the season books. Fans paid for a seat at ibrox not another stadium. Apparently fans don't deserve to be told what's going on share holders are all that matters to people on here.

6.) 29 Jun 2024 18:17:36
Shareholders aren't getting told anything either.

7.) 29 Jun 2024 18:35:16
Lammy what kind of refund? Like per game at ibrox missed? Then they would need to apply and pay for tickets away from ibrox surely?

8.) 29 Jun 2024 18:52:49
Wembley, that would be amazing.

9.) 29 Jun 2024 19:19:15
AllyG72 I was told last night from a solid source that St Johnstone on October 5 could be our first game at Ibrox, but apart from Europe that would mean switching just three games, Motherwell, Ross County and Hibs. Might not be as bad as some are making out.

10.) 29 Jun 2024 20:17:33
Prob not as bad.

11.) 29 Jun 2024 20:32:44
hubby11, Oct 5th yes best case scenario with a 2 week contingency beyond that date.
Gers78.absolutely not on the table.

12.) 29 Jun 2024 21:19:53
I fancy playing at merryfield.

13.) 29 Jun 2024 21:28:31
We are looking into playing at Ibrox with copland stand closed the preferred option i'm hearing.

14.) 29 Jun 2024 22:44:20
Christ next we'll be building a new stadium at the auld Third Lanark site the way the rumours are going.

15.) 29 Jun 2024 23:01:15
It is what it is. Construction projects always get delays. The club will play the games and fans will get to see them. No issue just whingeing about things out of control of fans and the club move on and let's talk about football.

16.) 30 Jun 2024 00:03:08
Hopefully John or someone can answer my question, I've got told today that after the European qualifiers, we have to name our home staduim. What happens if Ibrox isn't ready do we name Hampden, Murray field or somewhere else. I was told we have to play all our group games there even when Ibrox is up and running. If this is true the board have put players right up against it, we will have lost a big advantage playing our home game at any other ground than Ibrox.

17.) 30 Jun 2024 00:25:01
67k in murrayfield would be bouncing for they games.

18.) 30 Jun 2024 04:08:47
Mull play all game at mureayfield extra 17k people nit sure how that's a disadvantage.

19.) 30 Jun 2024 06:05:33
FYI . Wembley isn’t in Scotland.

20.) 30 Jun 2024 08:23:58
Lol bill?.

21.) 30 Jun 2024 08:46:57
Talking to someone close to the situation. This week is critical on timelines of delivery.

This will determine if its August or first 10 days of September at the latest for the fans being back in.

To put this into context the steel was expected in mid June latest.

22.) 30 Jun 2024 09:42:44
I heard we where building a new stadium at the auld third lanark site ?? sorry fork couldn't resist.

23.) 30 Jun 2024 11:14:35
Super??.

24.) 30 jun 2024 13:29:01
this is like nobody ever has a delay in building work

chill out fgs, the job will be done, ibrox will be better and rangers will carry on

its not something serious, like no pies, or cold bovril,

25.) 30 Jun 2024 16:35:08
Generic

Playing him lot? Not in any do or die matches. Maybe just putting him in window.

26.) 30 Jun 2024 22:14:02
Generally know within the construction industry that the principal contractor will be charged L&A damages for every week they are late in handing over the project from the agreed completion date. So if the contract was done thoroughly the delays won’t cost Rangers a penny.

Chicken or egg. not sure if ownership or managerial appointment comes first. What i do know is this.

For ownership there must be

1. letter of intent,
2. exclusivity agreement
3. sale and purchase agreement.

Only then can regulatory agreement take place. ie

4. buyer must pass SFA 's Fit and Proper Person Test.
5. SPFL must also approve.
6. UK Takeover Panel must also approve in the case of Rangers.

I think the deal is some weeks away from formal announcement. I think we will know between stages 3 and 4 when it is likely to happen. ie when word leaks out at SFA.

allyg72

1.) 22 May 2025 15:09:16
And I should add that if I was a legal adviser to any prospective manager I would be instructing client not to sign anything until the ownership has been fully concluded.

2.) 22 May 2025 16:13:17
So my understanding of this is that your first 3 points are correct as with any takeover. however re points 4-6.

4. there is no test. when there is a change of director or owner the club must complete a set form provided by the SFA saying the person has been shown articles 10 and 13 which sets out the conditions, e. g. not being disqualified as a director and that they meet those conditions. the SFA don't give approval as such. Think what happened with Craig Whyte where he was disqualified but his form didn't disclose this.
5. SPFL must give approval of the takeover but I would be surprised if soundings hadn't been sought and 'approval' given prior to the money changing hands. otherwise how do you backtrack on that.
6. where the takeover concerns over 50% of the shareholding in a company the takeover panel very rarely don't give consent so again just a tickbox.

most of this will have been discussed and I don't think it involves it having to be in place before that happens. however as discussions would have taken place and everyone is already aware of the takeover not sure what leaks there are.

Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules do exist in Scottish football, but they are not the same as UEFA's FFP rules. In the Scottish Professional Football League, financial regulation is governed by club licensing criteria, enforced by the Scottish FA.

No, we want someone who is experienced, but who has bags of fresh ideas and energy.

We want someone who has no Rangers history, but who has blue blood coursing through their veins.

We want someone who understands Scottish football inside out, but who has won league titles in Italy, Spain and Germany.

We want someone who knows every under 21 player and their potential, but who will sign guys with years of experience.
