Apparently, our board have made contact with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Fergie was bigging him up to our board and told them to get him.

I was a Beale fan and wanted him to stay and take over when Gerrard left for Aston Villa. I was also pleased when he took over from Gio.
But I have to admit it was not very honourable how Wilson and some board members invited to Ibrox that day. From a Rangers fans podcast that Beale took part in when at Villa he described how he felt like worst dad in the world when he moved his family from Scotland to the Midlands. I just read a post on twitter from a guy having a go at Cantwell because he live-streamed a video game on TikTok. Apparently that's something he's not allowed to do unless Rangers are top of the table. Roofe had to delete a social media post of him scoring against Celtic because the Rangers fans said it was a loser mentality. You can only post on social media when things are going your way apparently.
I look at what our own fans said about young Malik Tillman. He had more goal contributions than Aribo or Arfield ever did in a single season. He was Scotland’s YPOTY. Our fans labelled him lazy, a bottle merchant who faked an injury against Celtic, and can’t do it against Celtic. Not worth £5m apparently. He's only 20. Why would he want to stay here and listen to that? Had he signed with Rangers permanently be getting the same abuse now.

Well I for one enjoyed watching that demolition job, but in general I enjoy watching Arsenal and it is always good to see an ex Rangers player do well in management.
We can't expect to compete with the top English sides but it is always good to see them demolish teams like PSG that are not that much better than us when all of our players are on form.
We still haven't seen our best team in action and it might take a season for those new signingings that will make it to get used to playing together not to mention the hurly burly of Scottish football.

I heard from a very good source we are for Yakob Sayuri. He plays in Indonesia. He caught the eye of Dennis Wise when he was doing the Garuda select in Indonesia. Wise had recommended him to Beale for a replacement for Kent at a low cost and he is potentially a lot better. Can score goals and fast. Be interesting to see how this story develops. Probably an untapped market. Population of 273 million people. Could be a good call getting in there first.

Ben I think we should be cautious of the attack of course but they’re weak at the back, just sold their best defender for €25m and didn’t replace him, have injuries aswel. Only 2 fit centre backs in their squad until January.
Just go hammered by Barcelona and didn’t do anything I watched the game.

It was a testimonial friendly against a team of several multi million pound players, nothing more than a training exercise for fitness. Where lots of substitutions distrusted the flow after half time.
It’s not negatives when it’s players of lesser ability up against better talent, on the whole I saw it as a positive work out and nothing more, that result has no bearing on our season whatsoever.

Beale made a comment about players having heavy legs. It might be that the hard running done over in Germany meant we weren’t as fresh as we could have been and that will come when the season kicks off for real. I think you will see a very fit Rangers team this year playing at a high intensity. I’m sure the management team will have us peaking at the right time when it matters.

Was reading that there is dialogue going to happen for next season's Old Firm matches in terms of away fan allocations. The other mob are open to 7000+ away fans but we are not. personally I want the larger allocation of away fans. I would love the derbies to be like how they were in the past.
One set of supporters or a tiny allocation of away fans is killing the massive show piece it is. I hope it goes back to 7000+ fans in the near future.

We won`t give them an end again until they agree to do the same, which they can`t due to the design of their stadium. I have to laugh at the media and pundits clamour to get away fans in again, completely ignoring the safety concerns . Police Scotland would not even allow both sets of fans at the Youth Cup Final because they were scared of crowd trouble, how would they handle a few thousand away fans at the OF games in the future? He spoke about going forward looking at increasing this but nothing confirmed and will be loads of discussions.

I think with Bisgroves comments about opening up a dialogue with them will mean that there will be a larger allocation within the next few years. Like others have said, it will be back to 700 next season due to the number of season tickets sold already but likely they will increase further to the same as in European competitions 3500. I am not too sure what we can offer players to get them attracted to join us. Good players I mean. Ok play in front of 50,000 every 2 weeks. Apart from that we do not win that many trophies now. 2 out of the last 26 or so. 5.2% of the trophies we have won out of 26. Mick Beale might now think the same as the serial losers we have in the team now we cannot beat that mob. He must win on Saturday psychologically, he will be done like most of our squad.
I think the players we sign are much happier picking up pay cheques than medals.

What we can offer is to be part of an institution, a club with great tradition, one of the most successful teams in the world.
We also offer the challenge of overthrowing a very successful Celtic team, playing in the old firm and trying to wrestle back top spot.
Also, European football most years.
Plus the EPL is on our doorstep and many successful players have left Rangers to go on and have great careers down there.

Ben, we have to look for young hungry players who want to go the extra mile to succeed. There's a clear pathway to better leagues for young players who impress. This should be a selling point for us. Bassey, Paterson, teirney, Eduard, McGinn, Doig etc. all got big moves from impressing in spl. I don't mind players who use us as a stepping stone as long as they work hard for the badge.

We have won the league recently but lost the last 2, got to Europa League final. We have a realistic chance of 3 trophies every season and European football which is more than 90% of clubs can offer.

Everyone going on saying not Beales team. Most of the players were signed by Beale and Gerard. Gio managed to sign 2 or 3 players and that was it. I personally do not think Beale is the guy, he was clearly the cheap option.
We need a full metal jacket clear out. We have most of the squad who are serial losers. We have two trophies in 7 years out of 21 available trophies. Just not good enough.
The recruitment has been terrible. We need to fix recruitment and see where it takes us.

I have never was sure Beale was the right choice and nothing that has passed has convinced me otherwise. But the man needs time to bring in what he thinks he needs to form a team playing his brand of football.
If he is ruthless enough to ditch players who have no concept what wearing this jersey means, then a blue peter badge is in the post.

It is Gerard’s squad that he built to win the league 2 years ago and ultimately led to the coaching staff leaving because they knew it had reached its peak and the board failed to invest in it after we won the league. Up until a couple of weeks ago Beale was over performing with this group of players. They’re simply not good enough give the man a chance.

I think he will be a squad player. Played 2 games for Chelsea back in 2017 as a sub. Spent rest of his days in League 1 and Championship. Probably only cost us 8 or 9 grand a week so worth a punt.

I know what some of you are saying, but we need to be looking a bit farther than the English Lower Leagues. I though Mick Beale was in Brazil for a few years and not 6 months. I actually think it is easier to get South Americans now since we had Brexit as it is not red tape with Europe anymore. Even Argentina, Columbia, Uraguay. they have quality youngsters. We should be tapping into ex players like Cannigia and get him scouting for us. I heard Mick Beale can speak 3 or 4 languages fluently. I assume one being Spanish as he was based in Brazil for a while. We definately need to look further than England Lower Echelons.
